Guest Reviews
- David (9/5): Great prices in a great location - Convenient location, competitive price, safe on site parking.
Excellent breakfast. Due to the age of the building, there are a few areas in need of tlc, but this did not detract from a pleasant visit

- Vivienne (8/5): - Location was ideal, building was delightful, staff were very polite and professional. No expense was spared on ensuring all supplies were of high quality, felt a touch of luxury. Food was lovely in the restaurant. Parking right outside so easy. I knew I had booked a small double room and it definititely was that. We found the room hot which affected our sleep but we were able to open the window. TV was also tricky to get a channel but did allow you to log into Netflix.
- graham (9/5): - Handy location and quiet
- Bucsa (10/5): -
- Amanda (7/5): Great staff, great food and overall good value. Better mattresses would make a difference. - Friendly and helpful staff. Went out of their way to help us. Especially the girls on reception. Good food and lovely bar. The beds were too soft. Heating too high.
- Ruth (3/5): Party venue, avoid if you want to actually sleep! - Lovely setting and very nice staff member checked me in. This is a party venue! When there is entertainment on it is loud and the windows are not thick enough to keep to noise out. I was unable to sleep due to the noise.
- Dean (10/5): -
- Kirsty (8/5): - Lovely venue and grounds Poor shower. Just a shower head in a bath with no stand! Making it impossible to have a proper shower and couldn't get it to a good temperature. The toilet was so noisy too and took about 10 minutes after flusing to stop being noisy with was annoying in the night.

- Brian (8/5): Need a receptionist always same man on who struggles with juggling reception bar and enquiries - Location fairly peaceful normally No stall or chair in room for dressing table mrs not impressed water pressure for bath very poor
- Sharon (8/5): Superb staff, delicious food and excellent location. - Well situated in beautiful grounds. The member of staff who was on duty was pleasant, helpful and efficient. Our evening meal was absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. Noisy floorboards, but that’s because of the age of the building. The shower could have been better. It was hand held, and not very powerful.
- Vanessa (10/5): The Manor House-Great Location, Clean Bedroom, Comfy Bed and Clean En-suite bathroom. Fab Breakfast! - Every time I work in Bromley I stay at the Manor. It never disappoints! It is a great location for me only 12 minutes from my work. Room very clean and a comfy bed and all the amenities you could want. Bathroom also very clean.
I had a later start to work this time so I made it for their breakfast. Absolutely Fantastic. So much on the menu. I had the Full English breakfast with Tea and orange juice. It set me up well for the day! No complaints!

- Sharon (10/5): Perfect - The concierge the reception girl on Saturday night june the 28th and the Chief there customer service was excellent i would definitely recommend thank you guys
- Nicole (10/5): -
- Babs (8/5): -
- Phil (8/5): The hotel has a delightful ambience that is reflected throughout. - I particularly liked the informal reception desk that always had a member of staff present to answer any questions concerning my stay. The room had all the amenities that I would expect and was clean and comfortable. The room felt rather cramped. As a Small Double I did expect some restriction to space but the size of the bed did dominate the room to an excessive degree. It might be worth considering a smaller double bed to allow the room to to feel bigger.
- anastasia (10/5): -
- Bryan (7/5): Cost cottage more for looks than use - Cosy cottage in the grounds of the hotel. Next to car park and 30 second walk to hotel. Kitchen had no tea towels, oven gloves, washing facilities
- Stephen (8/5): - Lots of parking space No shower i the room
- Alexei (8/5): -
- Kevin (6/5): - The room was decent and a decent bathroom. Very poor customer care.
Came down for dinner only to be told they closed early. Theu found the chef eventually but it was a bit Faulty Towers.
Bar area was cold.
Following morning I came down for breakfast which I paid £18.
There was no breakfast items laid out at all!
Once I got my cooked breakfast the chef put rock salt on the bacon! The sausage had gone off.
There was no check backs and when I complained that the sausage was gone off I received a sorry but not a hint or a refund.

- Pooja (10/5): -
- Amrutha (9/5): -
- Pinnock (10/5): Exceeded expectations - Booked it for one night based on price and location with little else to go on. We thought it would be fine for one night. It was more than fine and we had a beautiful room, comfortable bed, lovely bathroom and it was a nice temperature. Spotlessly clean, friendly and wish we had stayed longer There was not anything we didn't like.
- Joy (9/5): -
- kirsty (8/5): - The location and setting was perfect. The food was really good and reasonable priced. Rooms were clean and we had a lovely view of the gardens. The bath/shower was not great. No stand up shower, just shower attached to the bath which was awkward. The hot water was hard to adjust to a decent temperature.
- RAchel (10/5): - Everything Na
- Anthony (9/5): Ideal stopover at a reasonable price - Staff were very friendly. Clean room, comfortable bed, ample parking and quiet.
- Pejman Safaie (8/5): - Ambiance Facilities
- Nyasha (10/5): I will return to the place soon. It was pleasure to spent a night there - Very clean Nothing
- Perry (3/5): Was probably lovely hotel years ago stunning grounds no heart in it anymore which is sad - Nothing really except lovely gardens Would like to say cheap and cheerful but can only say cheap (no cheer) felt like I was staying in a haunted house, at least a ghost may have warmed up the atmosphere!! no room service arrived at 8:30pm to be told kitchen closed and advised “you can order in!” (Which was another disappointment) lovely tv in the room but didn’t work due to bad signal so had to watch tv on my iPad for first 3 nights then on 4th no WiFi so even that didn’t work, girl on reception looked like she wanted to be somewhere else!! On my last morning had time to try breakfast ended up with a dry badly cooked omelet for £18!! Safe to say won’t be staying again
- Knight (8/5): Beautiful surroundings and comfortable stay. - The property is very beautiful and presented well. It is generally well-maintained. The room and linen were very clean. There were complimentary biscuits and water and the room was very warm and well-lit. It is an old building so the top floor is squeaky but I could only hear neighbours coming and going. The staff were all young - which is fine - but they paid more attention to each other than the guests and - like Aldi - feel that shouting at each other across the lobby is fine practice. The single room I was in had some repairs required but nothing terrible.
- Marek (8/5): - Very friendly staff, easy in and out.
The room was small but sufficient for a single night's stay. Even though the bed was very hard, I slept surprisingly well, although I smacked myself in the head because of the slanted ceiling when getting up.
Kettle and tea in the room.
Good dinner. There was no space to shelf/hang anything in the room (I put it on top of the small ironing board).
It's an old building, so you can hear everything next door and outside (read: bring your earbuds :)
- Vanessa (10/5): I'm a regular visitor at the Manor. Spectacular grounds, clean comfy room, great location to my work - Friendly and welcoming staff on arrival and check out. Great location for me just 7 minutes drive from where I was working.
Nice size room with all the amenities and comfy bed plus bathroom. All very clean. No complaints from me.
- Carole (10/5): Another fabulous stay - As always The Bickley Manor hotel was beautiful, Christmas decorations were stunning as usual. Had a lovely meal with 8 friends and it was perfect from beginning to end. Nothing
- Jackie (9/5): - The friendly, efficient staff and the ambience, character of the building. Breakfast was lovely. Just the creaking floor, room above at night time. Old building, probably not much can be done. Would not stop me staying again though.
- steven (7/5): very comfortable - nice and peaceful
- Babs (9/5): - Staff are very receptive and friendly
- Tracey (8/5): -
- Lucy (1/5): Won't be going back. - the staff were very friendly and helpful The room was very small and the bed was uncomfortable, furniture very dated. The bathroom as awful!!!! you had to hold the shower to wash yourself when standing in the bath. Very sterile, reminded me of an old NHS home for the elderly. The bar had broken chairs, the sink in the middle.
- Paul (10/5): -
- Dempsey (7/5): - Bar, restaurant, staff Bed and pillows uncomfortable
- Gerona (8/5): -
- Jamila (10/5): home to home ! - Sophie and Ruby are always welcoming and always ensure i m catered for paying attention to details, The room is clean spacious and cozy, the menu and meals are always exquisite. would definitely recommend and i do come back often for work trips
- Gary (10/5): -
- Camilla (10/5): -
- Michael (8/5): -
- Pike (7/5): Overall a beautiful place to stay where I anticipate most times the customer experience is excellent - Room was lovely. Gardens looked lovely but we were unable to explore them as we arrived late in the evening and left early in the morning. Very comfortable stay in a lovely location. 1. Extra blanket in Room required as my wife was cold but reception were unable to help.
2. More reasonably priced Breakfast. We would have had the breakfast if it had been included/better value
3. A bit more engaging reception - it was very business like, which put me off advising we were staying for our wedding anniversary. The meal and restaurant we went to overshadowed the hotel experience.
- Keyz (7/5): -
- Laurence (10/5): - Very nice lovation, easy parking, vefy helpful staff and nice clean and tidy room with all the facilities needed, the breakfast was really first class and overall it was great value given the location and facilities compared to everything else on offer in the area.
- steven (7/5): - i stay here at least once a week
- Jamila (10/5): -
- Sheila (10/5): Very peaceful location and comfortable room. We slept very well and enjoyed a great breakfast. Staff are very friendly a - Great location and attractive property with period features. well maintained gardens and lots of space. Nothing to dislike
- steven (7/5): - Gardens are fantastic
Hotel comfortable
- Doma (5/5): All was amazing except the shower - Location and ambiance The shower was very small. I could only stand up straight without movement. Could not even bend down to wash my legs!
- Mandy (2/5): Disappointing - Clean No Lift on 4th floor in roof space
Tiny room bed pushed up against a wall
No shower
Food poor
Not able to connect to wi-fi in room
- chris (8/5): -
- Hardeep (8/5): -
- Vanessa (10/5): - The Manor House was a lovely place to stay. Staff were very friendly and helpful..
My room and bathroom were very clean and had all the usual amenities. Comfy bed.
My room looked out over the fabulous grounds.
It was a great location for me just 12 mins drive to where I was working.
Sadly I was only there for one night but if I'm back working in the area I would definitely stay there again. In fact I'll be telling my friends back home and perhaps we'll book in for a social weekend. No complaints
- Pauline (10/5): The Manor Htl, Bickley - Beautiful hotel and grounds! Nothing!
- Woodhouse (8/5): A pleasant and comfortable hotel - My room was small/cosy, but fine for one night for one person. Lots of parking. The grounds were attractive. The staff were pleasant and helpful, and I enjoyed the breakfast. It wasn't a problem for me, but there is no lift so those with mobility issues may need to check access.
- Jonathan (8/5): -
- Emma (7/5): - Location to Brands Hatch. Friendly staff. Breakfast time was late 8am to 9am. It took a very long time for my order to be served. It was gone 10am by the time I was on the road. An earlier buffet would be better. No sky TV to watch sports.
- Marcia (7/5): Enjoyable meal, good staff and perfect location for my needs. - The location was highly convenient for me to reach my appointment after an overnight stay.
The gentleman on reception was very attentive and professional.
The view from my room was lovely.
The room was cold. This was addressed by bringing a heater to my room.
Dinner served in the restaurant was perfect👍🏼
Easy to access from the train station by foot or by car. I had a single room, with a lovely view; however there were some basic issues with the room which require some attention to make the room more user friendly.
For example, a chair could be placed where a standing fan was placed. There was no where to hang one’s clothes - this would be easily fixed by placing some coat hooks in the room and a couple in the bathroom.
The room was cold, despite the radiator being turn on to the max.
I like a firm mattress, and I although I did manage to get some sleep, the mattress in room 26 felt like sleeping on the floor!
Finally, if the shower was placed higher up over the bath, it would mean not having to hold the shower head while washing.
- Anthony (10/5): -
- Anthony (9/5): -
- steven (7/5): - i stay here at least twice a month
- Bernadette (10/5): Very good - Everyone and everything was excellent
- Iain (9/5): Ideal short stay when attending wedding - Stayed here when attending a wedding. Reception staff very helpful in letting us check in early. Pleasant top floor room with nice view over the garden.
- John Joseph (1/5): A manager needs dress Mike - The architecture I arrived and staff were smoking outside by the entrance - on arrival at reception nobody there so rang the bell and a member staff looking very casual came and advised the manager was on the phone
I waited circa 20 mins and actually decided to leave having heard the whole of the managers conversation whilst waiting in reception / chit chat
I threw my toys out of the pram - manager when he eventually showed up could not find my booking -
That aside - for a beautiful location - the staff are not appropriately dressed.
Booking.com have been very good at dealing with this btw and my complaint about this awful place

- Matt (8/5): -
- Joseph (9/5): -
- david (8/5): Pleasant, happy to stay again. - Location, staff, Shower very weak, food ok.
- Iain (10/5): -
- steven (7/5): apart from the noise the stay was ok - the room was comfortable and the food was very good there was a wedding reception and the noise at 11pm until 12.30am kept me awake
- Innocent (8/5): - Breakfast is excellent and the location is amazing! Cleanliness of the rooms could be better
- Trevor (8/5): - rooms comfortable and staff even though dealing with a wedding party were polite and attentive. Manager was rude to staff member when we needed to change room key as it was bent and wouldn't operate lock.
Breakfast was a buffet but no fruit juice or beverages were offered.
- Graley (10/5): Best place to stay in Bickley! - The staff make this place very special indeed. Beautiful gardens. Wonderful restaurant and good night's sleep. Thoroughly recommend and will return again and again. Having to leave!
- Thomas (6/5): Very reasonable oleasent staff nice surroundings - Location was great did not try breakfast Difficult using shower and bath
- Wayne (9/5): - Nice place to stay. Great food
- Lovey (9/5): Beautiful, characterful listed building with a Downton Abbey feel. - I had a wonderful stay at Bickley Manor Hotel. The hotel is a beautifully kept, listed building full of character, and it feels very “Downton Abbey.” The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly, making everything easy and welcoming.
There’s plenty of parking, which was very convenient. My room was small but comfortable, and very clean. I really appreciated that a fan was already provided in the room, it was perfect during the heatwave. The bathroom was spotless, though a little dated, but it didn’t take away from the overall charm.
Breakfast was delicious, with a nice cooked option that started the day off perfectly. I really enjoyed the old-style elegance of the hotel, it’s a unique place with lots of character. Th bathrooms need updating
- Tina (8/5): Relaxed, pleasant & good location & parking & nice staff. - Pleasant staff. Nice evening dinner. Location good for visiting family member in Bromley. Lovely grounds. Very warm in the room even with the fan provided. Mirror and lighting in bathroom not good if you want to do your make-up. Would have been nice to have an automatic top up of tea bags and milk.
In my parent’s room you couldn’t fit the kettle under the bathroom tap to fill, had to use a glass.
Not much clothes or cupboard space. Outside there are stone steps that need some attention. When wedding guests were waiting for taxi’s it was very noisy.
- Kay (6/5): Shower was next to useless. Place seemed empty? - Location Room is cheaply decorated and dated.
- chris (6/5): - Nice grounds Food wasn't great
- Philip (7/5): All fine - Lovely old building, plenty of parking
