- Simon (10/5): My stay was great! - How close it was to the CBD Nothing
- Scott (9/5): Great location if not wanting to drive - The property is in a very convenient location if you don't want to drive. A lot of local attractions, restaurants and bars are in a 15 minute walk. We stayed with another couple and the size was perfect for us. It was great value for money as well. Parking in the middle of a working day was a bit tricky when we arrived as only on the street parking. No problem with parking on the weekend. Myers Rd is a busy road which we knew when booking, so if you don't like traffic noise when sleeping (bedrooms are at the front of the house) this might not be the best for you.
- Harvey (8/5): I’ll stay again - Nice and tidy Nothing
- Polly (6/5): Enjoyed the historical charm but not the traffic noise - This a very cute historical cottage. We were warm and cosy. The decor is nice and kitchen spacious and well equipped. There is a big bathtub if you want a good soak. Plenty of soap, shampoo, towels etc. An easy walk into the centre of town. Parking is okay. The noise from the traffic is quite loud and is not great for sleeping. I had to use earplugs. My partner slept on the lounge sofa to escape the noise hence the lower score for comfort
- Rob (9/5): -
- Allan (10/5): - Nice little cottage comfy
And hosts were very helpful
- Mel (5/5): A little bit of care & attention to the property would have made my stay better. - Pretty cottage
Beds were comfortable
Location was good although very busy road & noisy. Needed a clean in some areas.
Fan by bed covered in significant dust.
Blinds dirty
Table outside filthy.
Cushions on couch looked unwashed.
Tried to turn off light at plug in bedroom & loads of filth behind bed.
Garden was overgrown & needed mowing out back. Not a pleasant outlook.
No face washers provided.
Air conditioning remote cracked & wall bracket
loose
TV remote didn’t work properly
- sally (10/5): A very comfortable cottage to stay in Bendigo. Unfortunately we were only there for 1 night but would have like to stay - A convenient location, clean and the owner was helpful in letting us check in early. Everything as stated in the description. While the street is busy during the day it is very quiet at night so no problem with any noise.

- Rebecca (10/5): - Beautiful cottage with bonus of a garden. Comfortable beds. Lovely outlook on to garden. Fantastic location - close to restaurants, gardens, places of interest. On street parking. Traffic noise.
- Angela (10/5): -
- Barry (8/5): -
- Lyn (7/5): Very good except for a few minor issues easily rectified. - Locality good. Old house - lots of character. Mostly clean. No handrails on front steps or shower. Difficult for the elderly. Couldn’t find kitchen light switch. No shampoo and conditioner. No face washers. Areas needed cleaning eg windowsills. Creeper growing into kitchen near table. No toilet air freshener.
- Josie (10/5): -
- Maxine (5/5): Location is great. Property needs an update and a proper clean for dust otherwise it would be great -
- Meredith (9/5): A beautiful little hidden gem. - Lots of space, beautiful high ceilings, tea coffee and milk for a cuppa, a home away from home. Loud traffic in the morning but that can’t be helped.
- Nicky (8/5): -
- Bridget (7/5): -
- gaelenehr (8/5): Great for a short or longer stay. - Great location with restaurants, pubs nearby. Unusual to find pet friendly places in the CBCD in any regional city. Traffic noise doesn’t bother me but it did start early. Maybe Apprentice tradies hooning to work at 6am?
- Bev (9/5): Lovely place to stay - Lovely well located cottage
Had everything we needed for a comfortable weekend visiting Nothing really
Front steps were challenging for my 92 year old mum with no rail however we used back entrance with no issues
- Rodney (9/5): -
- Boys (9/5): -
- Mel (10/5): - Great spot, beautiful house. Nothing we didn’t like.
- Anonymous85 (10/5): -
- timothy (9/5): - Lovely cottage and great central location. Sadly thought the Monday morning traffic noise from the nearby roundabout between 5-6 am was excessive. Hoon tradies going to work !
- Wright (7/5): - The location was great and having a whole cottage to ourselves really suited us. The beds were comfortable. Upon arrival, we had to contact the owner to find out how to get in, even though we had advised when we would be arriving. The blinds in the bedrooms were not clean and the fans in the bathroom and toilet were very unclean. Also, the air conditioning system didn't work.
- kazza (8/5): - Location On main road which was a bit noisy
- Liza (2/5): Dirty, smelly, unbelievable traffic noise and stingy. - The property was filthy and the smell of dogs was awful. The smell and traffic noise significantly impacted being able to sleep.
- Rhonda (8/5): -
- Glen (9/5): -
- kim (9/5): - Cute with good amenities
- Ken (10/5): -

- Debbie (9/5): - Quaint little house, everything suited us, it was comfortable and warm. Would stay again. Nothing
- Kaye (8/5): Very good - Street noise made sleeping difficult for one of the guests.
- Sylvia (10/5): Exceptional - It was so comfortable and clean and the location was fantastic so near everything nice and warm as it was winter ☺️ A little noisy from the road traffic but didn't bother us much
- John (8/5): Very good - Period house features, secure front and backyard for our dog, good location to CBD and family members in Bendigo. Nothing to say here.
- Russell (6/5): Noisy street hard Bed double only - The street Noise
and The HARD BEDS
- Mark (8/5): Value for location - Clean, close location to centre and walking distance to restaurants, good size in rooms Street parking, and hard to get park until after 4pm. Street is busy and noisy, but does quieten down at night
- Wendy (10/5): Great period house. Comfy beds . Toasty warm - Great position and good beds
- Sally (8/5): Very good -
- Marianne (7/5): Good -
- Tyron (10/5): Beautiful cottage in central location. - Great location. Easy walk to shops. Beautifully presented! Coffee machine provided was a nice touch. The bed was a little hard for me but understand it is hard to suit everyone in a holiday let.
- Peter (8/5): One night in Bendigo - Everything you need for a short stay. Nothing.
- Jessica (5/5): Beautiful house in a wonderfully central location for walking everywhere. Desperate for a good clean - Absolutely perfect location to the city centre, Coles 2 blocks up the road, main street 2 blocks over where there is restaraunts and pubs galore. We stayed for the Red Hot Summer Tour, walked 2 blocks from the accommodation where we caught a courtesy bus for a Gold coin all the way out to the racecourse. Could not have found a better and easier option!! The house was not clean at all. The place desperately needs a very thorough clean, dust 1 centimetre thick on all skirting boards and shelves. Old dusty cobwebs in all corners. The house smelt and dusty with a hint of mice. A little bin in the toilet would be a nice touch also.
Really quite disappointing considering how beautiful the house is and the location, is all let down by a simple fix of actually hiring a decent cleaner!!
- Kim (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharyn (8/5): We enjoyed our short stay at Myerscbd - Proximity to city, it had character. Not easily accessible for elderly, no rails in bathroom/toilet
- Danielle (6/5): We loved being in Bendigo, felt a little fobbed off with questions to the host, property not maintained to full extent. - Close to everything. Charming to be in such an original, quaint property. Bed was comfy and clean. Netflix and heating great. Not that clean in other areas of the house, mirrors, floors etc need a proper clean, garden un maintained which detracted. Free all day parking stated in advertising was not correct. It’s two hour parking. When questions were asked to host, not a warm response. On a busy road which didn’t bother me because I sleep like the dead but did bother my friend.
- Carolyn (9/5): My friend - I liked the cottage feel: spaciousness, high ceilings, timber floors, large bathroom.
I liked the fact that restaurants were in walking distance from the cottage. I’m quite sensitive to smells and found the essential oils diffuser a bit strong.
- Elise (9/5): Great location. Warm and Cosy and good price - Central location. Beautiful bathroom. Good heating Little bit of a pet smell
- Susanne (10/5): Great location, comfy, pleasant loved the back yard to sit to have coffee/wine. - The tea and coffee supplied was ok but would have liked some ordinary T bags and coffee bags. Also some salt along with the pepper. Over all it was all fine. Loved the back yard though could do with a clean up and water, very pleasant to sit for coffee and/or wine. Check to make sure all light globes are working, the bedroom to the right was blown, but my 90 year old Mum was ok with the lamps, and I understand they could have blown at any stage.
- Beth (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Brendan (8/5): Very good -
- Asher (9/5): A convenient place to stay with the family for the weekend. - Very convenient location.
Rustic cottage charm.
- Kerri (8/5): Great location, great communication with hosts, comfortable beds and cosy rooms - Great location!
Clean and comfortable Had trouble with door locks
Could do with some more kitchen bits and pieces but was ok for us.
Backyard was a bit messy but ok
- Marchant (9/5): Superb -
- Mandy (9/5): Superb -
- Sue (8/5): A comfortable home away from home - ideal for a short break - Nicely furnished, spacious rooms, well equipped. Very effective a/c in living area. Access via rear door meant we could avoid using steps. Traffic noise made it a bit difficult to sleep but otherwise everything was very good
- Julalak (9/5): Good value for money. Have everything and private - Very close to Shop and easy parking A bit noisy because the big around about at the corner
- Daniel (10/5): We are in Bendigo often and will hopefully stay again - We were really happy with everything
- Anna (9/5): Superb -
- Michele (6/5): Central but basic and noisy - Close to the centre and a good cafe nearby Traffic noise
Dusty bedrooms
Dirty bbq
Only about 4 teabags (no breakfast tea)
Overpriced accommodation
- Jennifer (10/5): Exceptional - It was lovely and spacious. Close to shops.
- Megan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Trevor (7/5): Good - Clean and close to centre of town Needs air-conditioners in the rooms. Fan wasn’t good enough.
- Lucia (9/5): Superb -
- Jon (7/5): Nice - Old herritage Bbq was dirty unusable. Bedrooms very hot at night
- Adam (8/5): Quaint and comfortable. - Great location. Easy walk to restaurant, shops and supermarket. Everything we needed for our weekend stay.
- Joanne (9/5): Idyllic - The property was stunning. It exceeded my expectations. I couldn't fault it. I would book again without hesitation. Highly recommend! Air-conditioning would have been the icing on the cake & just a small bin in the bathroom.
- Tshering (10/5): Exceptional -
- Barb (9/5): A great place for a dog couple - It was a great size for us and our dog. The back yard was well enclosed and there was a fence at the front too, so it felt very secure. It was comfortable and reasonably well equipped. Will definitely return! No air conditioning in the bedrooms may be a drama on hot days, but it didn't affect us. The 2 hour parking out the front similarly just took a bit of management.
- Lisa (10/5): Wonderful - Location and house size The doors to the bedrooms didn’t close properly.
- Jo (8/5): Comfortable and close to CBD. - Loved the period home features. Very comfy beds and pillows. Lovely shower and water pressure. Needed some attention to detail cleaning such as the exhaust fan and glass cover ICK!
Would have appreciated salt in the pantry.
- Leanne (8/5): Great location - Fantastic location and very clean and cosy cottage.
- Sean (5/5): Good value for money - Lock box was hard to open Not very clean - lots of dust especially in balls on the floor
- Eileen (9/5): Superb - All rooms clean and spacious.
Comfortable beds.
- Marlies (8/5): It was excellent. Thank you! - Location was excellent for parking and a short walk to the centre. We loved the character of the house.
- Jarchow (8/5): Very good -
- Pauline (10/5): Perfect, just perfect, so relaxing and comfortable, and close to town. - Beautiful grand old home with lots of character, and a wonderful garden. The home home was spacious and very welcoming upon arrival, lamps on, a box of chocolates, a supply refill cupboard, pegs and washing powder, it was perfect really. Best property I have stayed at over the last 10 years, the hosts were excellent. Nothing I didn't like, just would have loved an oven tray, unless I wasn't looking properly.
- Vanessa (9/5): Lovely house, great location. - Nice house, great location, good value. Surprised to find milk in the fridge but all the coffee tea and sugar containers empty.
- Katrina (8/5): Very good - location was great
- Madeline (8/5): Very happy, will use again :) - Great location, great home, clean and tidy No tray for the ovan, no sanitary bin in toilet or bathroom.
- Mohini (9/5): Superb - The host answered the messages promptly.
We forgot some stuff behind and it was promptly returned to us. The Bathroom and Toilet need to have a lock.It was uncomfortable to go in and not be able to lock the door.
- Amanda (5/5): Would not stay here again. - Location The property smelled stale. Bedroom carpets need to be replaced. House would benefit from a lick of paint. Recycling and general waste bins were full so not able to empty kitchen bin for 5 days.
- Samantha (8/5): Very good -
- Morgante (10/5): Exceptional - My daughter and I loved this cosy cottage. So inviting and comfortable. We will definitely stay again if we come back to Bendigo in the near future.
- Deborah (8/5): Lovely place very comfy and warm - Centrally located
Nicely appointed
- Mandylee (7/5): We really enjoyed our stay and it was close into town. - I really loved the bath The blinds in the bedrooms were very dirty.
- Helen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lynette (7/5): A comfortable stay in a good location, with little things letting it down. - Good location to access the main area of Bendigo; we were lucky with parking on such a busy street, as we managed to park outside when returning each day - it is 2P parking during the day, so cars need to be moved. The central heating worked well and was welcome at that time of year. Access to a washing machine was a positive also. There was ample storage room for toiletries bags in the bathroom, plus a good size fridge and pantry in the kitchen. The ceiling light in the bedroom on the left (when entering) provided little/no light and there was nowhere to place luggage in the bedroom on the right. Overall, the house had the impression of needing a thorough clean, e.g. dust on the skirting boards and in corners of the toilet room floor, cob webs on the ceilings and the stuff that falls between the sofa cushions. There was no catch on the toilet room door for privacy and the door handle need maintenance. For a house that accommodates at least 4 people, the kitchen could have been better equipped - more than 3 each of wine and champagne glasses would have been welcome, as would some oven trays and more / larger stove top pots and pans.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Good location, clean and well appointed, everything we needed for a short stay N/a
- Lottelolita (10/5): Amazing! -
- George (9/5): Superb -
