• Maja (9/5): - Wunderschöne Villa mit Garten Vielleicht ist es schwierig, die Türen besser zu isolieren… man hört die Menschen reden im unteren Aufenthaltsraum und ich wundere mich immer, dass die meisten Hotels zum Teil so furchtbare moderne und gerade in dieser Villa unpassende Bilder an den Wänden haben müssen.

• Patrick (9/5): Comfortable Hotel, with wonderful staff. - The boutique nature and location of the Hotel and garden. Honesty bar and wonderful staff. There was a beam in my room above the bed and being tall I was worried about hitting. We moved the bed so that solved the issue.

Although it is just outside the city area, there is a stop about a minute walk where you can take the bus or tram to the city in just a couple of stops. The staff at the hotel was excellent! Always smiling and attentive to us at all hours. Breakfast was amazing and they were not particular about guests arriving for breakfast after 10am! We were there during winter so the nice warm fireplace helped a lot! Although only breakfast was provided, I was happy that even though we ordered Uber Eats for meals, they took the effort to provide utensils for our use. This was just an amazing place with great hospility. We will definitely be staying there again in future! Nothing!

The rooms at this small boutique hotel are expensive, which you would expect. What I did not expect was that I would have to pay $10 AUD for a cup of tea or coffee which was not supplied in the room.

• Kauri (4/5): Nice place, but expensive (as is everything in Switzerland) - Signeau house is located in downtown Zurich, within walking distance to public transportation, the old town, water front etc. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The house is beautiful and well maintained. After 8.30pm there are no staff in the house - they leave and go home. This was a problem as the night we stayed the internet went down and no one could help us restore connection. The absence of staff also made it feel like a student dorm, not a guest house. The rooms on the top level (level 3?) are very nice, but the one we stayed in had a concrete strut over the end of the bed which was below head height. As a consequence, my wife inadvertently walked into it and ended up with a nasty lump on her head where she hit it. This had obviously been a problem for other guests as they had attempted to stick silicone tape on the beam/strut. This could be a potentially dangerous problem for others if not rectified.
• Keng (10/5): Beautiful hidden gem in Zurich - After staying at the usual suspects in Zurich for my umpteenth visit, I found this gem on booking.com. The place is just like a Wes Anderson set. Loved it. It delighted my local friends who came for coffee. I hardly left the hotel - it was so lovely - and worked all day like a recluse on the terraced balcony of my super spacious room #4 on the second floor. There is no coffee machine or fridge in your room, There is a nespresso machine and fully stocked bar and snacks in the lobby with a honor system to write down so they can charge everything you take. Coffee is EUR6? I think it would have been perfect if there were better facilities like a coffee machine and mini bar in the room - so I could have lived like a hermit and refrigerated the Sprungli luxemburglis. haha.

Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness. All the amenities, fantastic delicious breakfast. Welcome was a little bit blunt, but other staff made up for it. There was a private event in the common areas of the house so we could not hang out there, and enjoy the house, had to stay in the room. We had not been advised beforehand of this nor were we offered any compensation or discount for the inconvenience. Would have liked to enjoy the house freely for 900€/ night we paid, specially as it was a rainy afternoon. The TV switched on by itself at 2AM, we know Samsungs can do this sometimes but were a bit spooked as the house is so old (-: As an afterthought, since the house has no staff at night and there are other unknown guests, we are foreign with kids, in a residential area, would have liked to have a phone number at hand in case of emergency (someone tried the door handle at night and we took a while to go to sleep again) but it was ok.

It is beautiful and comfortable, and the staff are warm, helpful and efficient. Thank you Julia, Joelle and Veronica for giving us a truly wonderful time. We wish we could have stayed longer… The beds are very comfortable, the rooms have all the amenities one could need including high quality M&B toiletries. There is a lift to take luggage up and down the two floors. And the freshly cooked breakfast was delicious. One evening we ordered dinner in, and Julia laid out places for us at the dinner table to eat, which was great. Joelle helped us book a taxi when we struggled to get an Uber for the station while leaving. All, on their own initiative without us needing to ask! The garden is beautiful. One of our rooms, no. 10 on the second floor was a bit cramped and dingy. Room 1 on the first floor was a lovely size and well lit and ventilated.

• Angelina (6/5): Pleasant - Very beautiful old house, the interior is stunning. I admire the beauty of this hotel. Convenient underground parking, friendly staff. Very good location to the city center. Very bad noise insulation. I could hear every step of the other visitors and how people were talking downstairs at night. The room is quite cramped. Very small bed where it was difficult to accommodate two people. The selection for breakfast is pretty small, on the third day, there wasn't much to choose from.
