- Robin (5/5): I probably won’t celebrate a birthday at this hotel again - The location was awesome next to my favorite bar Never said anything about the pool not being open they were cleaning the pool with chemicals right in front of our hotel room and it was very hard to breathe, it was hard to get a hold of anybody in the office. Our TV didn’t work for two days because nobody would answer the phone until our third day. The floor was coming up in the bathroom. We barely had any towels housekeeper, threw away my brand new sunscreen when she was cleaning up the porch just not a very good experience for my mom‘s birthday. Also was really upset that the café area where you can buy some food at the hotel was closed. That also wasn’t told to us. We couldn’t even get any ice from the office.

- Jordan (10/5): Our favorite Ocean City motel! - We’ve stayed here 3 separate times and each time we have had great experiences. We love the showers, beds and overall atmosphere. Wish the parking lot wasn’t a tight squeeze.
- Michael (8/5): Good days - Close to the places I like to go there.
- Ta'Neisha (10/5): - I loved the location, atmosphere, the look and style. The bed was a little stiff but nothing to cry about.

- Jennifer (6/5): Nice price but you get what you pay for. - That the price is reasonable. One bed was broken and tilted down to the floor on one side. The shower is old and there is no where to hang wet towels. The room
Smelled old. The people above us walked so loudly the lights flickered everytime they walked. We were in room 1
- Joyce (5/5): Great location, dog friendly. - Location. Pet friendly. Very noisy. It was st pats weekend, but the 10:00 quiet time rule was out the window. No blow dryer. A bit musty.
- Chelsea (7/5): -
- Jalena (10/5): -
- Amy (5/5): It was average because of the noise - Sub deck and pool We were only given one key at check in because the second key was lost and a new one had to be made. We were told that we would get the second key the next morning and that never happened.
On two of our three night stay there were teenagers screaming between the hours of 11;30pm until 3;00 am. I understand that it was senior week but it got out of hand. There wasn't anyone to make a complaint to because there isn't anyone in the office overnight.

- Mary (4/5): While the pool and employees were good the blue wave inn needs serious upgrades and updates for their rooms especially f - The location is great and easy access to the beach. The pool is really nice and the whole pool area is well kept. The employees were very nice and helpful as well. We noticed as soon as we got into the room the door had a huge crack so it had no insulation, we could hear the people sitting outside clear as day in our room. The furniture is outdated and looks like you could catch something from sitting on the chairs. The beds are so firm that sleeping there for three nights has left my back hurting. There were huge bugs in the bathroom when we got into the room and we smashed all of them but more kept appearing at randoms times during our stay. Also $5 for a small bag of ice is crazy.
- Olena (8/5): - Location noisy neighbors
- Danielle (4/5): Fairly disappointed but we got what we paid for. - Close to boardwalk, rarely clean, great breakfast spot. The doors weren’t secured enough, I was awake all night because of teenagers in room next to us bouncing from what sounded like wall to wall. And there was mold or something in bathroom window.
- Raven (10/5): -
- Kelly (3/5): - The pool was nice. Younger crowd staying at hotel drinking underage and yelling and fighting up to 4am.
- Renae (10/5): - I liked everything except that no one made the beds, took the garbage out and cleaned the room. I think housekeeping should clean the room daily.
- Kylee (3/5): - The location was great and everyone around with friendly Black mold was EVERYWHERE in the bathroom, especially the shower head. There was hair in the beds, all over the carpets, and dead bugs smooshed everywhere.
- Gongorjav (7/5): - We really liked the location because it is almost at the beach. Takes only 5 mins to get the beach. staff is friendly and clean enough but if you have a little one it is kinda tiny.
- Von (10/5): -
- Sarah (7/5): Overall was a decent stay - We love the location and how close it was to the beach and that it had a private pool We had little ones with us and had to talk to the hotel staff three times about noisy neighbors below us before the staff actually came out and knocked on their door. There was also some mold in the shower and exposed wires in our bathroom.
- Stephanie (8/5): -
- William (5/5): Lackluster room with a pool, you get what you pay for, should be cheaper to stay here - The pool was okay, the pool was clean and clear with access to a bathroom some chairs and tables The room was a little stinky, flooring was not the best, fridge was broken pretty problematic due to needing to refrigerate insulin , Wi-Fi did not work, tv was small didnt work the greatest, needed to cross two busy highways to get to the boardwalk. Stairs to get to upper floor was sub par, locks on doors were janky and cheap, walls were thin with uncomfortable beds and bedding
- Allan (10/5): Perfect stay cozy price - Food truck area room was clean location was amazing walking distance from beach Parking should be assigned to room number but it’s not a problem
- Ninoshka (5/5): Most likely won’t be staying at Blue Wave Inn again. - The pool & location was ok The bed sheets were dirty, had stains on them. The smell of the room was off. It could have been better
- Jesse (2/5): Poor - I liked the location. That’s it. Everyone was smoking marijuana on their balconies and at the pool so our kids couldn’t go outside most of the time. Our joint room/neighbors were extremely disrespectful and loud to early morning. We could not enjoy time at this hotel.
- Charles (7/5): -
- Kham (7/5): -
- Sheila (1/5): Expensive, old, dirty and not recommended. - location The room was old, dirty, bathroom floor was cracked and felt like the toilet was about to fall in. There were bugs crawling around the room and I checked out within 2hrs of arriving.
- Olivia (9/5): Good value, close to the beach, nice staff, the food truck is awesome! - The pool and food truck were really nice The bathrooms definitely need an update
- Bryon (5/5): - Two blocks from beach and can watch the boats . Very dirty carpet. The stairs . Very tight parking .
- Xander (10/5): -
- Danielle (6/5): -
- christina (8/5): - Location is 2 block from the beach. It is located at the best part of the boardwalk. You are pretty much located in the middle of the boardwalk. Rooms are nice. Room had a little musty smell.
- Cody (8/5): -
- Sarah (1/5): Do not stay - It was clean and spacious in the room. I liked the bed spread and the ac worked well 1) when we got to the room, our key did not work. 2) after we got into the room and settled and put the baby down for a nap, some random woman who still had a key to the room, came in and woke the baby up and scared the crap out of us since it was a random person coming into our room. 3) even though we had the do not disturb sign on the door, housekeeping came multiple times and knocked multiple times waking everyone up starting at 8 am 4) the parking is horrible if you have a larger vehicle since the lot is so small, you have to be a really good driver to maneuver your car in such a small lot 5) when checking out, employee was facetiming at the desk
- Nicolena (4/5): Would not stay there again. - The pool was nice. The owners were very nice and the rooms were clean. Restaurant was nice. Nice location but very noisy b/c it was on the main road. Rooms were shabby. The laundry people were smoking in the main hallway to the pool and restaurant ,so you had to walk past them. The laundry people wore gloves doing the laundry and smoked with the same gloves on. Dirty water was left in the bucket for days.
- Katherine (7/5): -
- Denis (8/5): -
- AnnMarie (5/5): Liveable but would not go back. - The owner was very nice. The room was clean. The room showed serious signs of wear. The door looked like it had been kicked in and poorly repaired—there was a big gap in the door jam. The water pressure in the shower was abysmal. There was no place to hang towels in the bathroom. The beds and pillows were exceptionally hard. There were no extra blankets. The room was seriously overpriced due to a music festival.
- Lee Ann (5/5): Expect accommodations equivalent to a 2 star motel - The location was great. It was walkable to the beach and boardwalk which is why we booked it. Our room was unlocked when we arrived. The key to the door would not work in the door knob. The front desk gave us a different key which only worked moderately better. The maintenance worker was supposed to come look at the door knob which didn't occur. We had no soap for the shower. Housekeeping never cleaned our room for the entire stay. We tried to go to the front desk twice, but no one was there.

- Maryrose (7/5): Was okay for the price. - Very close to the boardwalk but still a quiet location A bit rundown, a/c unit was either too cold or didn’t work at all, carpet seemed dirty so I wore slippers the whole time.
- CARRIE (5/5): -
- Julieanne (10/5): -
- Jordan (10/5): Overall a great weekend spent there. Would definitely recommend and stay again. - I enjoy the location. This was our second time renting a room at the blue wave Inn. We have had positive experiences with the staff members and the rooms are spacious. I would recommend getting newer shower heads. The water pressure is a little weird. you can spin the head for a shower type flow or a harder flow but neither really function the best.
- Bruce (1/5): -
- Kelsey (10/5): -
- Tori (8/5): Great place for the value, always clean - Rooms were clean and spacious, beds were decent, nice hot water from the shower. Parking was a bit tight, long stairs to the second floor.
- Seth (4/5): -
- Dennis (9/5): - Location, value Our room had no setting for heat.
- Aaron (10/5): -
- Hank Oswald (8/5): OC in October - I like the location, cost and the size of our room. Our room didn't have heat this time, but that's okay. We enjoyed our stay.
- Richard (6/5): -
- Selenge (10/5): -
- Dawn (3/5): Staff were not friendly and housekeeping never visited our room. Very hard to get new towels. Didn’t give us hand towe - The location The place was not very safe. The stairs had a broken handrail and were VERY dangerous. The floors on the upper level outside the rooms were very soft and scary to walk across because it had a feeling you would fall through.
- Jennifer (1/5): - The location was great. I guess it’s my fault because I didn’t check when we got there, but the hotel has bed bugs. I will not be staying here in the future.
- Kirsten (4/5): Noisy and uncomfortable. - The location to the beach and boardwalk We were provided with one small, flat, pillow on each bed. We made do. My biggest complaint is that there is a cm gap between the door and the doorframe on each side. You hear EVERYTHING outside which makes it hard to fall asleep being so close to the road. Our neighbors decided to stay up until 1:30 am having loud screaming matches. There is no front desk staff. We called 2 times at 12:30 am and no one answered. We called a third time at 12:50 am and finally a front desk worker was sent to ask our neighbors to stop yelling. The front desk worker came from home and took 30 minutes to get there. We left a day early because of the terrible sleep we got. If this motel was normal priced, I could understand the bang for the buck. But the motel raised their prices 4x to accommodate for the music festival in town. A terrible night sleep was not worth $300 per night. Due to the gap in the door, our neighbors cigarette smoke made our room also smell like smoke. Needless to say, I will not be staying here again.
- jessica (10/5): -
- Hunter (6/5): Close to hot spots.but not the best or comfortable. Def better options for the price. - It was close to the activities of the weekend. There was a hole in the ceiling above one of the beds & was stuffed with diaper..
The electric ports were so worn anything you plugged in immediately fell out.
The doors are not very strong a stiff breeze would break it down.
- Amanda (2/5): - This hotel has bedbugs! Stay away!
- Fallin (8/5): - Location and that you could smoke outside your door No complaints
- Alton (6/5): - Parking was a little
- Tara (9/5): -
- Shalome (5/5): Worked for a short stay. - The location was great for country calling. The kitchenette was great with multiple outlets. The bed was uncomfortable and the pillows were flat. Didn't have a bath mat...had to use my towel. The door seals need to be better, people were sitting a few doors down smoking cigarettes and the smell was very pungent in my room with the door closed. Would have liked a 2nd sheer curtain to have some sunlight come in without everyone being able to see into the room.
- Eric (2/5): - Dying roach on stove top. Room smelled of weed. Carpet looked wet and was tattered and torn on the edge. When we showed staff pics of the roach, we were promptly refunded thankfully
- Lucinda (5/5): - The beds were comfortable. It was really run down. Our shower had a hole in the wall that was duct taped. Room smelled like feet and garbage.
- Laura (8/5): - The staff were lovely and we had to call to request a late check in and the staff was very accommodating
- Amanda (5/5): - The room was very large and the bed was comfortable. Good location off the boardwalk. Very outdated appearance of entire room, especially bathroom.
- Crystal (3/5): Never again. - Not much - the location was the best part. A lot. This room is not what I had secured. It wasn't facing the pool, it was dirty, the air conditioning wasn't on and it was extremely hot, the porch was falling apart, the window had paper on it to cover where the blinds did not go down all the way, and the main support across the ceiling was cracked. We did not get any toiletries.

- Morgan (3/5): Nah - Close proximity It's grungy. Smells bad. Damp carpet. Ac filter needed cleaning. Beds are uncomfortable. Door basically doesn't lock, it's not secure at all!
