Guest Reviews
- Sarah (10/5): Calm, picturesque, friendly, warm, welcoming stay 💙🤍 - Very nice super king bed and lovely room with a stunning view overlooking a large field. We throughly enjoyed our stay. The hot tub was an added bonus and amazing with colourful lighting inside. Food was delicious in the local towns and people friendly. Very nice pleasant owners Lulu and Russell. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a relaxing peaceful break away 🥰😍🤩❤️🤍🩷 Nothing
- Stephen (10/5): Peaceful & tranquil - a lovely place to stay. - Location was excellent with the coast a very short drive away.
Lovely view from the window over fields, an idyllic location. Nothing we can think of.
- Toni (10/5): Homely, friendy and great location - Hosts were lovely
Hottub a fantastic extra Nothing
- Malcolm (9/5): A great place to stay - Accepted us at the very last moment and communication was excellent. Continental breakfast was huge and lovely. Comfy bed, lovely bathroom. Parking and easy, quick access to Chichester. Just be aware that there are stairs. Not a problem. The fridge was a little noisy but not a game changer
- Glenn (10/5): - Lovely peaceful settings
- Camilla (10/5): Perfect cozy property in an ideal location with all the facilities you could need and lovely owners - This property was is in top condition, very clean, perfect size, comfy and great location. The couple, Lulu and Russell, were warm and welcoming and have everything you could possible need covered in the West Wing. It was a lovely peaceful weekend away in a gorgeous location and property.
- Leanne (10/5): -
- Amit (9/5): - The place was clean and had excellent facilities. Also continental breakfast provided in the mornings. It's on main road and about half hour to the beach walking. No lot a problem by any means.
- Heather (9/5): Relaxing beautiful surroundings a wonderful stay - Lovely accommodation light, airy, really comfortable in beautiful surroundings. The hosts were very welcoming and fantastic location.
- Christopher (10/5): - The location was excellent. We visited Portsmouth, Chichester and West & East Wittering and we were within a 40 minute drive from the furthest of these. We stayed in the "Room with a View" and the space was very comfortable and a generous size. Lulu and Russell were extremely friendly and communication with them was very straightforward via text, call or in-person. The only main downside is that the entrance to the property is close to a bend in the road and within a 40 limit, making exiting the property a little trickier than hoped. There are mirrors either side of the entrance to help look in both directions though.
- Joanna (8/5): Lovely room, very clean. Nice friendly hostess. - The breakfast was served in a hamper which was left for me in the morning. Very nice - continental. I requested gluten free which was accommodated. I stayed the garden room
- Masters (10/5): Perfect accommodation for a coastal vacation. - We had a wonderful stay, the owner greeted us on arrival and made us feel extremely welcomed. The accommodation was great and had lots of extras. We especially enjoyed the breakfast hamper and private space to sit outside. This is an exceptional stay !! N/A
- Jodie (8/5): Lovely welcoming b&b - Beautiful room and very friendly hosts. Literally the only downside was it being next to a busy road when we were sat on the patio. Expensive for 1 night but would return for 2 plus nights..
- Sharon (9/5): Great Location for Goodwood - The location was excellent for Goodwood, plenty of parking on site, and host very helpful, the bed configuration wasn't as we booked on arrival but this was quickly remedied. The breakfast, would have preferred something more cooked available.
- Helen (9/5): Very good - The continental breakfast delivered to our room was good. Room was comfortable and there was space to sit outside. Lulu and Russell were very welcoming and helpful.
- Isobel (9/5): Lulu and Russell were good hosts; friendly, helpful and unintrusive. We had a a peaceful stay, slept well and were every - It is well maintained, peaceful, well located and has a wonderful outlook at the back onto a garden and open field beyond. Our room had a private entrance and was very quiet. The bed was very comfortable. There was nothing we didn’t like about the room for our short stay.
- Reuben (10/5): Brilliant service - The location was brilliant, and the accommodation was 5 stars. I liked everything
- Sebastian (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rikki (1/5): Bad - Na The way it was portrayed tha room was away ftom main building we werrnt aloud to mert out friends so never stayed.
- Louise (9/5): A great weekend break in a location ideal for the Wittering beaches. We would look to stay again. - Linden House offers a fantastic location for access to West Wittering beach without being in the traffic crowds. On a leafy lane surrounded by gorgeous fields it is just a 5 minute drive to West Wittering car park or a half hour walk through the countryside and lovely residential green lanes.
After a day at the beach it was nice to walk back to a quite and relaxing space with a very comfortable bed.
The Continental breakfast was generous in quantity offering cereals with yoghurt and fruit salad and a warm basket of toast, croissants and chocolate buns along with various jams and cheeses. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay there!
- John (10/5): Lovely - No faults Maybe the little fridge that made a whirring noise at night...re-locate??
- Lisa (10/5): Loved it, would definitely stay again. - Excellent
I did think it looked different on the booking but might have been me looking at the wrong photos. Despite that, the whole stay was excellent.
- Cahalarn (9/5): Very nice stay. Enjoyed the view from the room and the Hot Tub. Great Location. - Hot Tub The cost of the Hot Tub
- Robin (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (8/5): Very good - Large bed, comfy room. Bkft was underwhelming
- Sarah (10/5): Immaculate room/ apartment in the grounds of a very well kept house. A short drive to the beach and a great pub The - Good location, the room was a great size with plenty of space for the suitcases . Lulu was very welcoming and every thing was of a very high standard. The breakfast was delivered to the doorstep in a wicker basket and was very tasty ! The property was very well maintained , all the details were thought about. But the hot tub could have been a bit cleaner .
- Caroline (10/5): Exceptional - Bathroom great and breakfast really nice High spider in the corner of the room 🙂
- Jim (10/5): The accommodation was excellent the the host was wonderfull. - The breakfast was excellent the bed was comfortable and the host was fantastic.
- Roanld (9/5): enjoyable - very well presented
good breakfast arrangements Maybe no smoking at all
- Derek (10/5): Really nice and relaxing. A nice break. - The room was superb. The breakfast was superb .the hosts were superb. The location was superb. There was nothing we didn’t like
- Alastair (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): Lovely comfortable clean and well decorated rooms in a beautiful location. Very good value for money - We were very pleased when we first saw the house, it looked very beautiful and the gardens were very well maintained. We chose to have the hot tub for the weekend, which was really nice, both during the day and once in the evening all lit up (very romantic). The continental breakfast was delivered in a beautiful hamper which we took to the beach one day and sat out in the garden on the chairs provided for us on the 2nd day. It was full of lovely pastries. toast and butter, Jam, Marmalade, fruit, yoghurt, Honey, soft cheeses, Muesli & Granola. The Fridge was also stocked with Orange Juice, milk and there was Teas, Nespresso coffee, sugar etc. There was also Wine & Beer at an additional cost. The Bedroom and bathroom were very nicely decorated and were immaculately clean and had their own range of shower gels, soaps, sprays which had a beautiful scent and can be purchased. West Wittering beach was a lovely 40 minute walk or a 5-10 minute car journey. Russell and Lulu were very pleasant and I would highly recommend a stay here. 2 nights was not long enough, we wanted to stay longer
- Jana (10/5): The hosts - Lulu and Russell have been so helpful and friendly, very approachable and easy to talk to. We definitely re - The room was very spacious and bright, very clean and very close to the beach - walkable distance. Excellent location. Very quiet and peaceful.
- Sharon (10/5): 2 days away - Really lovely couple of days away, Lulu and Russell are really lovely and friendly and helpful. Beautiful room and view. Hot tub was brilliant and very clean, as with our accommodation and the grounds. Would definitely book again. Thank you so much Lulu and Russell.
- Robert (10/5): - Very welcoming owners, very close aspect to access one of the best beaches in the south.
- Marion (9/5): Superb - Perfect hosts, not intrusive but there when we needed help, and shared info for eating out (The Lamb pub just up the road and Boulevard in East Wittering both have gluten free menus and great food). Accommodation in the West Wing is compact, not overlooked and really quiet. Would choose Linden House again if visiting that area. Two very minor details.
Firstly wall cupboards in the kitchen would benefit from soft silicon pads to stop them banging shut.
Secondly it's sad to see printed request notices on the walls, shame that evidently not everyone respects other people's beautiful property thus making the notices necessary.
- Teresa (10/5): A lovely break, fab accommodation and lovely owners - Cereal, juice milk tea and coffee all provided Nothing
- Jo (10/5): Lovely hosts, great place- we will be back. - The Garden Room was comfortable and peaceful, just perfect for a mini break. Wanted to stay for longer
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- David (10/5): A perfect, relaxing break. - The description is a little confusing as it states the property is bed and breakfast but the breakfast is only provided in the house accommodation, as the West Wing is self catering, although provisions can be supplied. Very little. Lulu is a joy as a hostess and although we didn't meet Russell I'm sure he is too.
- Darren (9/5): Superb - Friendly host and good facilities Bed too hard
- Adam (9/5): Would have 10 all round total amazing gusts wonderful wbush qee . Ma - Say it it was a good
- Sonia (10/5): Exceptional - Exceptional attention to detail in the decoration and the facilities offered. It was really a home away from home. Really loved the milk, orange juice and home basics left for us, and a few more little surprises.
The location is extremely quiet with deers and wild rabbits in the adjacent fields. Only a few minutes from the beach and easy access to Goodwood.
And the owners are the some of the nicest people we have ever met.
- Laura (8/5): Very good - Everything except the breakfast , Continental breakfast could have been better. Stewed rhubarb should have as an option to have with the fruit salad.
- Dawn (7/5): Nice accommodation in a lovely part of the UK, bit of a shame about the noisy road. - A lovely fresh, clean and comfortable unit. Breakfast delivered in a hamper basket was a lovely touch. The gardens were immaculate. We were disappointed to find that although the description said ‘rural’ location, it was adjacent to the main through road and traffic levels were pretty constant and therefore noise levels too. It made sitting outside a little less appealing.
- Louise (10/5): Perfect relaxing stay - Breakfast was excellent. The location was perfect and peaceful. The hosts were extremely attentive.
- Natasha (10/5): So lovely we stayed an extra night. - Beautiful setting with views over field with horses and countryside. Garden Room was spacious and light. Beautifully decorated with homely touches like books to read (everything from Dawn French to Dickens) and a mini bar in the fridge as well as complimentary coffee pods and juice/milk. Comfortable bed, lovely soaps and toiletries - the 5 star hotel experience with a friendly Airbnb vibe. Hot tub under the stars was an extra worth every penny. Gorgeous stay and our hosts were fantastic and attentive but respectful of our space. Couldn’t fault. Nothing. That we had to leave.
- Mary (8/5): Very good -
- Crisp (10/5): Excellant - Very clean friendly comfy bed and yummy breakfast
- Alex (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Lovely house and hosts near beautiful sandy W Wittering beach. - Room with view over countryside, comfortable bed. Breakfast delivered in a hamper which was novel and delicious. Made v welcome by Lulu on arrival. Location in terms of beaches, marina, harbour and things to do, pubs and restaurants excellent. Not really an issue but aware cars as road nearby property, but got used to it.
- Owen (5/5): Passable -
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Lesley-jean (9/5): Lulu, Russell 'Thank You'. Keep it up, it was great to meet you. - The breakfast was a simple fair but very professionally delivered. It was so relaxing & the hosts Lulu & Russell were so friendly & accommodating, it was refreshing.
- Emma (10/5): One night - room with a view - The room
was great and Lulu and Russell friendly and helpful
- Duncan (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andreas (9/5): Superb -
- Catherine (10/5): Came here for a relaxing short break. The West Wing - the studio annexe was well equipped. We opted for the ingredients - Clean and comfortable studio annexe in a quiet location. A lovely view of fields with grazing ponies. The location felt tucked away but was a short drive away from local attractions and amenities.
- Amanda (10/5): West Wittering Visit - We loved everything about this accommodation..everything you would need was carefully thought of & provided.
A perfect location to travel around the area, from the beach to shopping in Chichester! Nothing we didn't like except visit was too short!
- Samantha (10/5): Fabulous few days away in a very lovely part of the world. - What a perfect place to stay with Amazing views and really lovely hosts!
- Oisin (9/5): A rural idyll - Spacious, scenic and tranquil haven minutes from west wittering . Very comfy bed, sublime toiletries, room to relax inside and out in beautiful surroundings. Healthy breakfast delivered in hamper by welcoming host
- Mihai (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antoniya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Laura (9/5): Comfortable stay, that we'd be happy to repeat. - The quality and generousity of our breakfast hamper, delivered to our doorstep each morning with warmed pastries.
We liked the system of texting the hosts if we needed them for anything, without losing our priva y. For our requirement, everything was perfect.
- Petula (5/5): Room with a view - I liked the hosts they were great and the bed was comfy and breakfast was nice and on time every morning. I liked it had a fridge in the room with real milk and free water orange juice. I didnt like the fact it was close to the road . Upstairs in main house was noisy from family staying. Also the bath plug hole was blocked with loads of hair from previous people and the shower needed limscale remover. And room with a view of the road then fields. I was expecting from the write up that it was ground floor with own patio. Misleading.
- Robert (10/5): Recommended! - The suite is in an outbuilding on the owner’s property. It’s clean and well appointed with its own kitchen and bathroom. The detached nature of the suite makes it feel more private and that you don’t have to tiptoe around at night. The owner was welcoming and friendly. The only thing is that it’s slightly outside the village so walking back at night can be a little hairy!
- Deborah (9/5): Immaculate B and B with excellent facilities and yet with a degree if privacy. - The location was excellent as were the facilities with a very comfy bed, good sized bathroom with lovely toiletries and it was immaculately clean. The breakfast hamper was very good and so refreshing to have proper tea bags and milk in the room! The fridge was very useful and everything worked really well with plenty of hot water. Lovely views from the bathroom window out to the garden and fields and horses beyond! We met the hosts who were charming but weren’t intrusive!
- Gareth (10/5): - Perfect property set in a picturesque village, the room was spotless and the hosts were very attentive. Great value for money
- Sarah (10/5): Perfect. Exceptional. The best. - What a beautiful place perfect in every way.
The owners were amazing.
Fantastic weekend was had. Zero
- Ruth (9/5): Superb - Bright, clean room and bathroom. Excellent host, quick to reply to TV issue and help resolve. Breakfast was varied. Lovely rural surroundings. Great for a quiet night's stay. Location was great but need to get around by car as road is quite fast and busy with no pavement.
- Paul (9/5): We had a lovely stay at Linden House, accommodation great -
- Teresa (8/5): Nice stay clean and comfy - Very clean and comfortable. Hosts extremely friendly. Breakfast was lovely made a nice change to not have fry up.
- Lee (9/5): Superb - Great little place to stay, lovely accommodation with a relaxing feel to it.
- Linda (10/5): Comfortable in all ways.. - Breakfast was good..
Accommodation was excellent with the most comfortable bed we have slept in when away from home🤗 Nothing could have been better🤗
- Jane (8/5): Very good -
- Phillippa (9/5): Relaxing - Well appointed spacious room, comfortable bed, good shower and spotlessly clean. Facility to sit outside in attractive garden and lovely fruit salad for breakfast Entry and exit from drive bit hairy as very busy road. Although mirrors helped
- Wayne (10/5): a wonderful experience - the view from the bed was wonderful
- Jonathan (10/5): Our second time here and loved it - Lovely quiet place to stay, with great walks right by. not far from the beach and lots of great pubs and restaurants. Lulu and Russell are also fantastic
- Graham (10/5): What a lovely place - Lovely place, the hosts are very happy to see you and very helpful. They always want to make your stay better. Breakfast in the garden was great too. Hamper for breakfast went down a treat. Would recommend.
- Jennifer (7/5): Comfortable - Nice room & bathroom Noise and light from the attached house which disturbed our sleep.
- Ash (10/5): Great stay. Great room! Slept really well! Thank you - We were greeted with a smile,
And we left with a smile!
Lovely place to stay.
Will definitely be back There wasn't one thing I didn't like

- David (10/5): nothing could have been better - just right for our needs
nice welcome
good parking
lovely room and bathroom
excellent breakfast nothing
- Melissa (7/5): Good - Close to West Wittering and lovely surroundings Would prefer cooked breakfast while on Holiday
- Giovanni (8/5): Very good -
- Dennis (9/5): Superb -
- Harrison (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly host. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Linden House. A lot of thought has gone into all guest's requirements and we did not want for anything. The breakfast was excellent. Many thanks and we WILL be back again Could not find fault with the property but the council could do with putting up a street light.
- CLIVE (10/5): A room with a view - Really enjoyed our three-night stay at Linden House. A very comfortable room with a well-stocked kitchen area and a splendid bathroom.
Breakfast delivered to the room in the morning was excellent too.
I'd strongly recommend Linden house to anyone looking for somewhere close to the Witterings, Birdham, Chichester Harbour or Chichester itself.
- Joanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marydas (9/5): We really enjoyed the stay at Linden house... - Stayed at Linden House for 2 nights last week. Lulu and Russell, were great, very helpful and friendly. Location is fantastic. Continental breakfast which was plentiful if one can eat all. There is a hot tub available as an extra. We had acomplimentary upgrade to the west wing which was not any bigger than the Garden room.
- Linda (9/5): lovely stay in a bucolic setting close to both town and beautiful beach. - private cottage with all the amenities we needed for a two night stay.
really appreciated the breakfast cereals and milk. nothing to comment
- Patrick (5/5): Didn't feel particularly welcome - Clean and tidy, nice setting, good friendly pub nearbye. Lack of wardrobe, lack of privacy crossing hall to get to the bathroom ,needs privacy glass either side of front door. Road noise horrendous, couldn't sleep first night, expected to be sharing the bed with a vehicle at any moment.
Never saw the famed "breakfast hamper". It was obvious it was an inconvenience that we wanted to leave at 7am, we were offered the hamper for 9am by text. At £10 a go and no offer of refund ,as a host myself, I find this unacceptable. Why can't the hamper be provided the night before ? Drinks, milk and juice are already in the room , a toaster grill could be provided to warm any rolls or croissants in the morning, cereals in containers even bagels with cream cheese and smoked salmon. Only needs a little thought and enthusiasm.
- Brian (9/5): Very nice location, friendly and warm hosts and helpful with local knowledge!!! - When we arrived we were felt very welcome with a warm greeting and an upgrade which was very nice and a pleasant surprise. Both Russell and Lulu were very accommodating and offered good support, very nice breakfast, in very nice facilities, in a very good location, and kept in touch in person and also text messages. Very recommendable. A couple of mosquitoes that kept sleep, on the first night, but we soon solved that thereafter.
- Arij (8/5): A pleasant if somehow overpriced stay. - A clean and comfortable room with a nice breakfast. All basics provided: coffee machine, hair dryer, water, etc. No problems communicating with the owners. We think the room is way overpriced for what it is. We’ve stayed in similar places or much nicer for cheaper. It felt we were staying in someone’s house, the bathroom and bedroom are separate but we never knew if there were other people around or not. I guess for one night it’s ok. I just expected something more special given that it was the more expensive accommodation in the area.
- Robert (10/5): Great size clean room in a lovely house and location - Great location a mile from west wittering beach by car and within 8miles of Chichester which has loads of great restaurants Everything was spot on no complaints
- David (8/5): Very good -
- David (8/5): Very good -
