Guest Reviews
- Judy (10/5): - Friendly courteous staff. Easy check in.
Cleanliness and great breakfast. I found out after check in, I could of had a lower rate as had went to the Fireside. My sister and I go 2x a year.
So next time I will book directly with the hotel for a better rate!
- Greg (10/5): -
- Tenley (9/5): - So clean and comfortable and the staff was so helpful!
- Terry (8/5): We were only there for one night, but it was very comfortable and conveniently located. - Staff was courteous and helpful. The room was very clean and amenities such as makeup remover cloths were available. We also had a refrigerator and microwave. Hot breakfast items were included in free breakfast. They even provided coffee, tea, and freshly baked cookies all day. They had posted quiet hours and it was very quiet at night. My husband thought the mattress was too hard.
- Amber (8/5): - Easy on off. Clean rooms. Nothing
- Phillip (10/5): Good stay. Would use this facility again. - Breakfast was excellent. Staff was friendly and helpful. Light switches inn entry hallway didn't work smoothly. Took a few tries to get lights to go on.
- Sarah (10/5): - Extremely clean
- Valle (10/5): -
- Tank (8/5): We really enjoyed our stay. Will use this choice again. - Clean. Newer look. Pillows. Too fluffy. Pool was a little cool getting in. Another mention to us as well.
- TRACY (9/5): -
- Valeria (10/5): Best hotel stay in a long time! - The facility was great. Very clean. Great staff
Very accommodating. The room was comfortable and clean. Great breakfast
- Philip (1/5): Disappointing as we were looking forward to a nice quiet good night sleep! - Quiet time 11pm posted throughout the hotel but we were unable to sleep as we could hear thumping base from music being played in the hotel bar below our room. Called the front desk to ask when it would stop she replied midnight. She did not apologize or offer any remedy to the situation.
- Wesley (8/5): -
- Kreg (10/5): -
- Sydney (10/5): Clean and comfortable - This place was super clean and comfortable!
- Alan (10/5): -
- Lewandowski (10/5): - Location, comfy and cleanliness. Great customer service. The $10 incidental chg checking inn.
Our toilet had issues with running the majority of the time.
- George (10/5): -
- Adam (9/5): Great place to rest your head! - Large rooms, nice and clean. Shower is large. Bed wasn’t that comfortable
- Kelsey (10/5): - The breakfast was good. Small area so it was filled up. We used the bar area.
- April (7/5): Hoping the bad bed was just a fluke - The room was great. Having a sitting area with a couch, chair and desk separate from the bed was great. The pool was clean and the water was fairly warm. Breakfast was good. The staff kept the sitting area neat and tidy. Unfortunately the bed was absolutely horrible. It felt like sleeping on cement.
- Mcmanus (7/5): - The beds are AWFUL!!!
- Heather (9/5): Never disappoints - Nothing disappoints that why I come back Wish more fresh fruit option( watermelon, strawberries, cantaloupe)
- Greenlee (10/5): Awesome staff and hotel - Great breakfast and location easy to find
- Lee (10/5): Beyond expected amenities. - Quiet, clean and very nice staff. Breakfast went beyond usual “continental” breakfast (it even had quiche.
- Barbara (10/5): Beautiful hotel and a comfortable stay. - Location good - we visited the Dinner Theatre in town. nothing we can think of
- Kevin (6/5): - Slow
- Joie (10/5): - Staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were clean, continental breakfast was excellent.
- Leila (10/5): - Great place to stay.
- Nanci (8/5): - We bought food and asked where we could find utensils… “we’re out of utensils “ “ you should have thought about that before you bought the food”
- Christine (10/5): - Everything was clean, well stocked, hotel is quiet. Pillows are not very comfortable. I liked the black towel to remove makeup. That helps keep the white linens white. Loved the atmosphere and friendly front desk staff at check in.
- Deanna (10/5): - Very comfortable and clean
- David (10/5): - I told the Desk staff that this was the best hotel stay I had had in recent years! We loved the room layout, esp. the separate bedroom. The gal at the front desk was the most pleasant and efficient I believe I've ever met. The amenities are terrific, including microwave and fridge tucked away behind a door. The (free!) breakfast area was top-notch and very welcoming. Location is Excellent!
- Ty (10/5): - Quiet and
- Mary (10/5): Back for a Class Reunion - We were attending the 55th Class Reunion of my husband's High School Class. It was very important to my husband to attend this reunion and reconnect with those old friends and recall the fun and adventures of those long ago years as the class gets smaller. The Country Inn & Suites helped to make our experience just that much better. We thoroughly enjoyed the reunion.
- Diane (10/5): Highly Recommend - We loved this hotel! The room was very spacious and comfortable. There were several nice common areas in the hotel where groups could hang out. The staff was super friendly and breakfast had a variety of food.
- Troy (10/5): - Love staying here for the car event every September because the show is right at the hotel. Plus restaurants are in walking distance. Only issue I had was some big gal that was working night shift came unglued on us guess people because were noisy and drinking. Gotta remember there was 2-3 wedding parties also there. But other than that I love staying there and will be back next year
- Sharon (10/5): - Clean and quiet. Free cookies!
- Maggie (10/5): - Great!
- Charles (8/5): Room wasn't ready when we needed it. - Overall I liked the hotel, but checkin was a nightmare. They did not have rooms ready at 3 PM. We waited until almost 4, but had to leave for dinner theater reservations. We were unable to get cleaned up prior to our reservation, and weren't able to get checked in until almost 11 PM
- Robert (2/5): Terrible experience - We got there and learned that Hotels.com took our money but did not book the room. We had to pay again but this time 198.00 - about $30 more than we originally paid.
Trying to get in touch with Hotels.com but that is impossible. Going to have to fight this through my bank.
The AC unit turns on and it sounds like you are standing next to an airplane engine. Woke me up EVERY time it cycled on.
The beds are hard with worn out mattress toppers so it is also lumpy.
They provide two pillows per person that appear plush but as soon as you put your head down it flattens out so you try to sleep with two - and one keeps sliding out.
The room smelled like someone had sprayed a flowery-powdery perfume all over. I have asthma and allergies so this made it very unpleasant.
Woke completely unrested with a headache, sinus pressure, neck and back pain.
Our friends arrived and their room was not ready. We were going to the show at the Fireside Dinner Theater and could not be late so they had to put their stuff in our room and could not take a shower because there weren't enough towels for all of us and we now had to hurry.
The excuse my friend was given was that 50 people checked out all at once at noon and then 50 people came in at once at 3:00 to check in. We were there...50 people were not.
We frequent the shows there but us and all our friends who joined us will not be staying with them again.
- Steven (10/5): Super stay - Great hotel usually stay here at least three times a year
- mohanad (10/5): - Great place
- Kearson (10/5): Great hotel - The hotel is very bright and super clean. The rooms are very comfortable. Good lighting. Breakfast was really good. Will be back next year for the same event and will book our room here.
- Korey (10/5): - This is a wonderful, new property with friendly staff, great rooms, and a wonderful continental breakfast included!
- Indre (10/5): Comfortable and clean. - Stay was pleasant and comfortable. Our room at this almost brand new hotel was spotless clean and quiet. Will be staying again.
- Meher (9/5): Good stay - worth the buck. - We came to see Coldplay in Madison and booked this hotel as nothing else was available in Madison. Really happy with our decision. Good-sized room, neat hallways and clean bathroom. Sufficient linen and amenities provided. Friendly and helpful staff. Good quality mattress in the room. Pool was an unexpected highlight of our stay, very cleanly maintained. The breakfast was very good. Not a wide selection but whatever they had, tasted good. Bagels, muffins, croissants, waffles, oatmeal, juice, and coffee. Loved it. There's Dunkin', Subway, Taco Bell, and Culver's around the hotel which is very convenient for a quick snack or coffee. Impressed by the food available at this location! Nothing in particular, just keep doing whatever you are doing. We loved our stay. No complaints!
- Michael (10/5): - ..
- Jamie (10/5): Great stay! - 10/10 would stay here again. Nice staff. Beautiful property. Very comfortable and safe.

- Michelle (10/5): - Very clean and comfortable room. The front desk clerk was helpful and friendly.
- Steve (6/5): - The WiFi was awful
Friday night front desk worker is AMAZING!!!
- Kimberly (8/5): Like Country Inn and Suites. It always feels like I'm staying in a new house. - Your breakfast crew was the best! Good Eggs and sausage. Need more than 1 bar of soap. Needed 2- 3 for the 3 people in the room for 2 days. I know there was the liquid soap dispensor, but still like bar soap.
- Roger (8/5): - Great location for a work stop.
- jan (10/5): I was double charged for the room when I booked it.terrible mess still not resolved I contact bankto investigate the do - New and clean Not answering their phones when trying to hook a reservation
- Michael (10/5): I would definitely stay again. - Very clean Nothing
- KENICHI (8/5): -
- James (10/5): - Great stay, clean, great breakfast
- Sally (5/5): Spiders - After checking in, I discovered a dirty undergarment left behind under the luggage bench with several large spiders nested on said undergarment. Very unsettling!! Was switched to another room, but then was asked to move to yet another room 2nd night. Very inconvenient. The hotel was unwilling to compensate me for this unsettling experience.
- Debra (10/5): - Great!
- Michael (10/5): - Clean, that’s what matters most!
- Carrie (10/5): Great hotel bad breakfast - The breakfast the first morning was only fake scrambled eggs. The gal working most likely did not want to make the effort to put out any other food. Years ago when I stayed at country inn’s the food was much much better. I was very disappointed in the food options
- Vince (10/5): - Everything was great. The staff. The rooms the breakfast.
- Luciano (8/5): Very good -
- Linda (8/5): Very good -
- Megan (10/5): Great customer service - A very nice hotel. Its room was clean and the breakfast was good with many options. Nothing
- Samuel (10/5): - All is well
- Lewandowski (9/5): Superb - Location, cleanliness and customer service. I had booked thru booking.com. The rate and taxes was supposed to be $159.88.
I was charged $169.88.
Contacted Country Inn under review
- Wegner (9/5): Superb -
- Patricia (9/5): Comfortable stay with breakfast. - Complimentary breakfast, cookies at reception, good water pressure. Pool not available, no meat at breakfast 1 out of 2 breakfasts. Mattress not comfortable.

- Yixing (10/5): - Very friendly staff.
- Janine (8/5): Very good -
- Scott (10/5): Great stay - The staff was friendly and very helpful. The facility was modern, clean and well kept. Breakfast was well done and plenty of options.
- theodore (8/5): - front staff was super very nice only bad part was the pool was inop have stayed here before very nice!!
- Road35803775761 (2/5): Catfished by a hotel - I travel for work frequently. I'm pretty up in statuses for many hospitality companies by default because of that fact. I wouldn't have stayed here otherwise, but I was booking through my company's travel portal. It looked the best option. If booking hotels were like online dating, I had gotten catfished. This place was clearly built to be a site for venues. A cheap place for people to have weddings or whatever events, because they are trying to work around a budget and be in the middle of nowhere Wisconsin.
The fitness center was pretty bare bones, but just passed standards for being one. I used the threadmill and it was making all sorts of noises, clearly not being maintained. I tried the only other threadmill (2 of 2) and it wouldn't even turn on.
The internet would not connect for anything. It's 2025 and if a place is too cheap to have working wifi, I'm furious. Yes, this was my main complaint.
The person who checked me in wasn't too friendly to begin with, so I didn't even bother to ask why it wasn't working. Plus I only stayed for one night.
Breakfast was pretty basic. Coffee was subpar. There IS a Dunkin outside, but you'd have to pay for that. The hotel had three slot type of gaming machines in their bar area for events. The bar wasn't open.
I guess if I were on a budget and wanted a tacky venue, I'd look into this hotel. Other than that, I'm glad there would be no reason for me to stay here again.
- Joyce (10/5): Seeing family 💗 - Beds were comfy. Staff was friendly. Rooms were clean. Good location also.
- Jerome-hughes (10/5): Exceptional - It was all very good I can not think of anything.
- Melissa (4/5): I don’t believe that we will stay at a country Inn and suites again. It was very expensive for us not to sleep there. - It was conveniently located It was the most uncomfortable bed I have ever stayed in at a motel in my life. I did not sleep the whole night. My husband also had a very difficult time sleeping.
- Stewart (9/5): For a Fort Atkinson business trip this hotel is perfect - The room was as expected and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Breakfast was functional and OK but could have offered more I felt. Nothing I did not like.
- Krista (10/5): - Clean and friendly
- Gerald (10/5): - Excellent facility, very clean and quiet. A great breakfast with a lot of variety. Two thumbs up!!!!
- Janeen (10/5): - Later checkout and pool hours were pretty great. Friendly staff, easiest check in/out I’ve had in a while. Lots of parking too
- Mary (10/5): - Hotel was full but still was quiet. Breakfast staff was patient with young visitors who were messy, cleaning up after them.
- Jody (10/5): - Quiet, easy check-in, clean, the continental breakfast was great! Will be a return customer when we’re in the area.
- David (9/5): Superb -
- Jody (10/5): - Clean, quiet, updated.

- ELIZABETH (10/5): - Very clean. Employees that we had contact with were knowledgeable and professional.
- Gayle (10/5): - Current and tasteful quality decor. Super Clean. Good Breakfast (the scrambled eggs were delicious), the black washcloth for makeup removal is genius, the blueberry chocolate cookies were amazing and the staff was very kind. I will definitely stay there again.
- mike (8/5): - Clean rooms, friendly staff, good breakfast.
- Scott (10/5): We were well taken care of. Beautiful facility and great breakfast! - The facility was very nice. The breakfast was delicious and way above our expectations. Our room had no view. We had a large window but our view was of an outside wall of an adjoining building. That was the only disadvantage.
- Steven (10/5): Great stay - Excellent place to stay when going to the Fireside theater
- Mary Lou (8/5): window shades - The rooms are very clean and comfortable. However, the windows do not have room darkening curtains to close. Therefore, light came through very early.
- Tracy (9/5): Relaxing getaway - The staff was very pleasant. Very clean. Breakfast was very good. They didn't have a hot tub.
- Deborah (10/5): - Very well maintained.
- Stacy (10/5): - Very nice!
