Hate to think if it was raining… They give you another option for across the street but it doesn’t open until 8am. Nice place…but is not a B&B.

Our hosts David and Lee were so kind and hospitable The rooms are very clean and extremely comfortable and also truly elegant This was the absolute highlight of our trip We loved meeting the hosts and David was extremely kind and showed us around his beautiful home and told us about the history of his family and all the fabulous antiques. I cannot recommend a more interesting and spectacular southern house to visit and we do hope to reciprocate when our hosts visit London. Thank you both for a truly memorable visit. Much love

David gave us a tour of this incredible house which was hands down our favorite of the 4 we toured on our visit. We plan to stay there again. - Joseph (10/5): Southern Hospitality at its Finest in a Beautiful Natchez Mansion - Choctaw Hall is a wonderful property and in a great location that is walkable to everying. Grounds and gardens are peaceful and beautiful. Proprietors David and Lee are true southern gentlemen and were fantastic hosts who made us feel like family. Vouchers are provided each day for breakfast at one of three great locations of your choice. The common area had all day free coffee/tea/beverage/snacks provided which was a great bonus and we took advantage of it often. Owners also provide a guided tour of their amazing mansion, Choctaw Hall, which we felt was one of the best tours in all of Natchez. Our stay was amazing and truly memorable. Nothing

- Bobby (10/5): True Southern hospitality awaits in an exquisite mansion just steps from downtown Natchez. - The hosts define southern hospitality by providing snacks, soft drinks, coffee & tea. The accommodation is everything you would expect in this antebellum mansion just steps from downtown, and I especially enjoyed the invigorating shower. There wasn’t a single thing I found disappointing, and it’s the best bed & breakfast I have visited in Natchez.
- Peter (1/5): Pretty disappointing…… - Historical When we arrived after a long day of driving we were told that we were out of luck because they were having plumbing issues in our booked room. The manager basically spent 2 minutes trying to call another B&B and then ended up just calling a dump of o hotel before we were shoved out of the door.. We didn’t settle for that hotel and luckily the Monmouth Inn still had rooms available. Interestingly enough if it would have been the other way around it would have cost us to cancel. The only thing we got was pushed out of the door.

- Stephen (10/5): If you a,re visiting Natchez, this is where you should stay - We loved staying at the hotel, although it’s actually a bed and breakfast. Both Lee and David were charming hosts and went out of their way to both be extremely helpful, as we had a problem with our car, which they were very generous with their time sort this out. The house is amazing and one of a kind. Even though we were there for just 24 hours, we felt like we had known them for years! No nothing
- Brian (10/5): FASCINATING HISTORY, ELEGANT BEAUTY, AND CHARMING HOSPITALITY… IN THE HEART OF NATCHEZ! - First and foremost, the included tour of the house is an absolute “Must Do”; it is both a fascinating history and spectacularly beautiful! Secondly, and as advertised, Choctaw Hall does not prepare & serve breakfast on the property. You're are provided a voucher for one of several nearby locations that serve breakfast. This turned out to be a fantastic alternative to the norm. Staying for more than one night, we had the opportunity to try out the breakfasts at a variety of locations… a nice way to get to see and taste a little more of Natchez! Lastly, the charming hospitality of the owners, David & Lee, was remarkably outstanding. We left feeling like we had known them forever. That we had to finally leave and go home was our only disappointment!

- Andrea (8/5): Wenn man etwas Besonderes will. - Tolles altes Haus und interessante Zimmereinrichtung. Mal etwas anderes. Der Hausherr hat uns sehr nett empfangen. Es gibt einen Kühlschrank, aus dem man sich umsonst Getränke nehmen darf. Dadurch dass alle 4 Zimmer zu einer Art Wohnzimmer gehen, zu dem man durch die Haustür reinkommt und in dem man auch sitzen kann, war es weniger ruhig als gedacht. Unsere Nachbarn sind dann zum Glück recht gleichzeitig mit uns ins Bett gegangen. Sonst wäre es zu laut gewesen. Das direkte Nachbarzimmer war auch nur durch eine Tür getrennt, die ausgebaut und durch Styropor ersetzt wurde. Man hat also im Grunde alles gehört. Das war nicht so schön und eigentlich leicht zu beheben.

Charming man who showed us around and gave us some ideas on things to do “Under the Hill”. The furnishings were classic and transported you back to a refined way of life. Absolutely nothing. Plenty of water and sodas, plus a selection of snacks were tasty. And Lee provided us a private your the whole home and it was so interesting. The house is filled with antiques from the owners family. And breakfast was served at nearby restaurants. It was one of the best meals on this entire trip.

- Martha (10/5): - This property takes one a step back in time. David, the owner and host, lives in the upper portion of the antebellum house. He was very welcoming and helpful with suggestions for local food and fun. Our room was spacious, clean, comfortable, and full of antique furnishings. The grounds are manicured and lovely. There was WiFi but no television in the room. The bed was super comfortable and the location is serene. As this is his family property handed down generation to generation, we were very happy David shared it with us. I would recommend staying in this historic house and let your mind wonder about all the walls could tell, if they could only talk.

There was a fridge in our room but to make a hot drink there was a common room that had a coffee pod machine, kettle & a fridge with lots of cold drink choice & savoury and sweet snacks - all complimentary.. which was excellent. Met Lee & David on check-in but didn’t see them on check out as they’d left a note they’d gone back upstairs which assume meant don’t disturb so couldn’t thank them for the stay. We had our own private exit door from our room to the garden and outside gate which was convenient. Parking right outside on street. Breakfast is in a community run cafe 6 min walk away. Reasonable choice

We’d been to many historic homes on our journey in the U.S. South but Choctaw Hall is truly special. The private tour by Lee, delivered with a wealth of information about the home and its antique contents ( china, furniture, mirrors, candelabras, lamps, paintings, ceramics, silver — the list goes on) was a welcome bonus. Our room was clean and comfortable and the lovely common area gave us the chance to engage with other guests. We wish we could have stayed another night.
