Aber die Landschaft bei Ohara war einfach herrlich anzuschauen. Der Platz im Zimmer war geräumig und der Futon bequem. Ich habe nichts zu bemängeln. Wie bereits erwähnt, kann man über Lage (im Abseits) und Preis streiten.

• Konstanze (10/5): Wunderbar entspannender Aufenthalt - Wunderschönes Ambiente - der Garten, die Zimmer, der Onsen waren traumhaft. Der Ryokan liegt sehr idyllisch und ruhig in einem Tal mit mehreren Tempeln direkt angrenzend. Das Personal war extrem freundlich und hilfsbereit und hat uns auch den (etwas beschwerlichen) Weg zur Bushaltestelle gefahren. Alles war extrem sauber. Das Kaiseki Dinner war zudem ein Highlight. Die einzelnen Zimmer haben keine eigenen Duschen, man duscht im Onsenbereich.

The ryokan is refined and elegant, featuring tasteful décor and exceptional service throughout. The room was impeccably appointed, offering every comfort and more. Nearby temples and forested paths provide scenic and engaging opportunities for sightseeing. Dinner was both exquisitely prepared and delightful, complemented by warm and attentive service. Overall, the experience was excellent. One possible improvement would be to schedule the dinner slightly later, allowing guests more time to fully enjoy and appreciate the premises.

Unfortunately, we didn't get his name, but all we remember was he is from Nepal. Since my husband can't speak Japanese, he explained everything in English and very helpful. Whenever we are walking around, he always asks questions if we are doing okay and checking us out. Thanks for your kind gesture. We are very comfortable during our stay. Surprisingly, they have many English speakers, so it's easy to understand all of the customs at the inn. The food is phenomenal! We ate so many dishes that we had never eaten before. respect to the chefs! Thank you for your hard work and for the amazing food. The lady who served us (again, we aren't familiar with her name, but she is from Nara) carefully explained to me what kind of dish we were eating, and we had a good talk during our dinner time. She is very sweet, and it made our trip very special just sharing stories about her hometown. The place is very gorgeous! The outdoor onsen is amazing! During the slow time season, there aren't many customers at the time, so I had the bath all to myself! Very relaxing and amazing experience. Also, please visit the temples and the souvenir shop near this location. Ohara is a very special place. Make sure to try their local ice cream that has Perilla in it. Just going there is very breathtaking.

The outdoor spa was very relaxing and the surrounding gardens helped me to truly relax. We ate too much at dinner and chose not to have breakfast. The authentic traditional Japanese experience was a great experience, however we found it a little too restrictive.

We were a party of 3 and stayed in the Deluxe Studio with private outdoor Onsen Bath. The bath was heavenly. We also enjoyed the public onsen which had both indoor and outdoor baths. Amazing products were available in both the room and the public onsen. Beautiful yukata with warm shawls for the Autumn chill were provided. We enjoyed dinner and breakfast in the dining room in our Yukata. Highly recommend as an escape from Kyoto especially to see fall colours. Wonderful spot to explore the few temples in Ohara and sample the local produce. We enjoyed strolling through the charming shops buying handicrafts and enjoying sampling the foods from the area. Service and staff were amazing.

• Su Sian (9/5): Foreigner-friendly ryokan in a charming village just outside Kyoto - Seriyo is located in a charming village with nice walking trails, interesting places to eat in the daytime and the stunning Sanzen-In complex with its many related buildings and gardens. We were slightly concerned about one of the hosts/ servers with a heavy cold and no mask.

Our room also included its own private little garden which we were so lucky to have a beautiful sunny day to enjoy the autumn leaves! The staff were very kind and accommodating! Dinner was beef Shabu Shabu that included so many delicious appetizers! Breakfast was kaiseki style and you can tell everything was made with so much detail and care! It was our very first ryokan experience in Japan and definitely won’t be our last! One tip traveling from main Kyoto is to definitely take an Uber/Taxi/shuttle instead of a bus. It is totally worth it especially if you have luggage to bring with you. Everything was great!

• Anh (10/5): A little expensive but worth it for the experience, food, and service - The breakfast and dinner was very tasty and memorable. The staff were one of the best I have ever stayed with. The facilities were also excellent Maybe a better mountain view for the onsen. The location is a little bit out of the way so fyi.
• Mykel (10/5): A truly restorative and beautiful stay at the Seryo Ryokan! - Everything we ate was delicious -- from the 10-course kaiseki meal, to the breakfast spread. We were also treated with so much generosity and kindness throughout our stay. We sincerely hope to get a chance to return and bring more friends and family! Thank you. Nothing comes to mind.

• dorte (9/5): En stor oplevelse - Der er så fint og lækkert på hele roykaen og fyldt med ro og rammer for at slappe af og nyde det. Det var luksus at have egen udendørs onsen, som vi flittigt benyttede. Maden var udsøgt! Den lille by Ohara havde helt tilpas tilbud af små gåture, mad/snack og sightseeing til et par dage i fred og ro. Vi fik den lækreste mad med mange små serveringer og mangfoldige smagsoplevelser. Vi oplevede dog at serveringen gik for hurtigt. Vi nåede lige akkurat at 'sluge' dennsidste mundfuld før næste ret stop på bordet.

• Akiko (10/5): - 近場で久々の家族旅行に料理旅館とのことで料理を楽しみにゆっくりできたらと思い宿泊させてもらいました。みなさんスタッフさんは親切でお部屋も露天風呂がついていていつでもちょうどいい温度で入れて懐石料理も季節を感じられる料理で満足です。又機会があれば宿泊したいです。
• Samuele (8/5): - Das Personal war freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Hotel ist etwas weit weg von der Bushaltestelle und es geht Berg hoch bis zum Hotel. Deshalb empfiehlt es sich beim Hotel anzurufen und nach einem Transfer zu fragen. Auf dem Rückweg haben wir den Transfer in Anspruch genommen. Die Onsen waren nach Geschlechtern getrennt (so wie es in Japan üblich ist). Insgesamt waren die gemeinsamen Onsen aber sauber, einladend und schön. Das Essen ist typisch japanisch. Der Shabu Shabu hat uns gut geschmeckt, auch wenn es etwas Übung bedarf die Zutaten rechtzeitig rein und raus zu tun. Das Schönste war auf jeden Fall der kleine japanische Garten mit dem Koi-Teich hinter den Zimmern. Alles in allem hat uns das gut gefallen im Hotel
• Gianni (10/5): - J’ai adoré mon séjour dans ce ryokan. Le personnel a été d’une gentillesse et d’une attention remarquables. Malgré quelques petits imprévus, ils ont été extrêmement à l’écoute et très arrangeants : ils ont accepté de décaler l’heure du petit déjeuner, nous ont même trouvé un chauffeur privé et se sont montrés disponibles à chaque instant. Leur professionnalisme et leur bienveillance ont rendu notre expérience inoubliable. Un grand merci !
• Yun Jeong (10/5): - 한적한 교토 료칸 분위기를 즐기기에 너무 좋았음. 직원들이 너무 친절했고 산젠인, 호센인과도 가까워 주변산책히기에도 위치가 매우 좋음
• Thomas (6/5): Mauvais rapport qualité prix - Le bain privé et la nourriture était super. Nous avons été accueilli par une personne non souriante et vraiment pas agréable au premier abord. Nous avons payé plus de 500chf la nuit et nous attendions à un service beaucoup plus haut de gamme pour ce prix là. Pendant notre séjour au Japon nous avons été dans 3 ryokans et clairement Seryo n’est pas le meilleur (et pourtant c’est le plus cher que nous avons payé).

Cena Sukiyaki buona ma non memorabile e non da Guida Michelin. Check-out alle 10. Rapporto qualità prezzo da migliorare.

• carla (10/5): - Immerso nella natura , contesto tipicamente giapponese, l’ideale per staccare dal caos delle grandi città . L’onsen non è privato pertanto è separato uomini e donne. Le camere sono dotate di lavabo e wc ma non di doccia , le docce sono nei bagni in comune. Sarebbe stato più comodo avere la doccia in camera.
