- Alberto (8/5): The hotel has good accomodations and has good facilities, but the rooms should be cleaned everyday. - Central location in Scotts Valley, CA and close to Santa Cruz, CA. The rooms are not cleaned everyday. Litter accumulates in the rooms.

There was no noise from the street. Great location to visit Santa Cruz. Their should be more breakfast options. The eggs were overdone but the fruit was delicious.

The sheets on the bed were thread bare. It was over all very bad. I will not stay there again. I thought breakfast was included and it only is if your a member.

Of course the manager wasn’t at the hotel. The room wasn’t ready. I almost tripped on a loose tile on yhe floor. It was like a two star hotel.

There was no hot water in the morning to shower. And coffee was cold. I had booked 2 separate rooms with king size beds. And they gave me 2 queen size beds, disappointed with that. They told me they were over booked. I understand I wish they would have told me when we checked in. Overall, it was nice. Thank you. Definitely, we will stay again.

The lobby / bar area was a nice space to relax as well. We will be coming back for a weekend getaway to this hotel! Right off of HWY 17 as well.

The outside Patio area is a nice place to relax with the family. Would highly recommend staying at this property when visiting Santa Cruz or Scotts Valley.

The staff were genuinely warm and attentive, from check-in to housekeeping, everyone went out of their way to make me feel welcome. The on-site restaurant and bar were a pleasant surprise, offering great food and local wines. Parking was easy, and the hotel felt very safe and well-run. Whether you’re in town for business, a weekend getaway, or passing through on a coastal drive, this hotel is a gem. I’ll definitely stay here again next time I’m in the area!

The employee was training and the one training left her alone and the one coming in was late. Poor girl! First room had no air, second room qas grear but we were woken up by water pouring from the air-conditioner. Maintenance had to come drain late at night. Then we were woken up at 6am as our room was right above the car wash next door. This was our second time there within this year and we also had trouble last time. May need to try another place.

- Carmen (6/5): - We enjoyed our stay but our room was not cleaned - we had to call for it to be cleaned and the beds were not comfortable. I payed for two queen beds but honestly felt like two full beds.
- Dushyanth (6/5): - The food at the restaurant is not quality at all. I believe it’s frozen food heated in a conventional oven. The bar gets busy but the attendant at the bar can’t keep up. So you have to wait for 10 minutes before you can order. It’s not the fault for the Barman it’s the fault for the manager not having enough staff on when the hotel is fully booked.The hotel doesn’t have enough wine glasses no Barista coffee machine. The staff doesn’t know how to use the little coffee machine that’s sitting in the bar to make a simple cafe latte. Apart from that the rooms were well cleaned and I give credit for being a very flexible hotel to their guest. Love the fact that it has a designated smoking area. Would definitely recommend and visit again.

- Gramps25 (6/5): It Was Good - I needed a place to stay in Scotts Valley and happened upon the Four Points. It turned out to be a very good stay. The room I had was huge! There was a large couch in it as well. The bed was extremely comfortable and it had a nice view of the courtyard. It wasn’t too full so there were no noise issues but I can see where it might be a problem at peak occupancy. The bathroom was also large with an excellent shower!! My only complaint was the lighting for the vanity was terrible. It was a decorative light that wasn’t bright enough at all. It doesn’t have central HVAC and it took some time to cool the room; it might be a bit of a challenge in warmer weather. There was plenty of parking next to or under the building. The staff at both check-in and check-out were friendly and efficient. This is in an excellent location close to restaurants and shopping and about 15 minutes to the Boardwalk. While it does show a bit of wear-and tear, it is certainly, a property worth considering if you are in the area. Always remember: your milage might vary.

- Joshua (6/5): - Doors? I had a 1 bedroom suite that had no door separating the bedroom and living room. The bathroom had a farm sliding door. The shower was doorless. I didn’t like the lack of privacy or safety (doorless shower). This was my second stay here, and I still do not understand why they place the mini fridge on the ground. The pullout bed was pretty filthy, but the couch itself was at least for enough to sleep on. 1 positive was the staff are very pleasant.

- Jessica (2/5): - Wanted to post this while I'm still staying here, worst experience ever. First of all, I just slipped and fell extremely hard in the bathroom, the floors are super slippery after a shower even after putting down towels, which my fiance and I did. I slipped and smacked my head, shin and I'm pretty sure I sprained my ankle. Hurts to walk on. I can't imagine if I was an older person. That was the worst of it, the other issue was our AC doesn't work in our room as soon as we got in last night we tried to turn it on. We called to let them know, they sent up maintainance, we were leaving to head to the boardwalk. When we returned they had a cheap fan in our room pointed at our beds. I called the front and the front desk person came in and looked at the AC and said to me, "you can always open the windows". The windows opened two inches. He offered another room with a smaller bed which isn't going to work for my fiance who has a bigger build. The fan was horribly loud all night. This place is horrible and if I could give it zero I would.

- Wander27500660811 (2/5): Terribly maintained hotel. Stay elsewhere. - We travel often and I can say without a doubt this was our worst hotel stay ever. Night one, we attempted to pull out the sofa bed and it had a sign that said, “broken.” Being a family of four our children had no place to sleep. It was already 8:30 pm. We informed the front desk and it took another hour to get a room. There was only ONE person working at the check in counter on Friday of Labor Day weekend. The hotel was grossly understaffed. Unfortunately, there were no other suites available, which we had paid extras for. We were moved to a room with two kings. Once we were finally moved it was a bit warm in our room, but we were exhausted and went to sleep. We had a terrible night’s sleep. The new room was super warm at night, plus it faced the parking lot so it was loud to boot. We left early in the morning to get to the Boardwalk. When we returned to the room that evening the room was 80+ degrees. We tried to get the AC working and could not get it to work. We called the front desk and they sent up maintenance. The maintenance guy immediately said that the AC was broken and it’s a known ongoing issue. Why is this hotel so poorly maintained? Why are rooms being rented when they are not in working order? Once again, we went downstairs and asked for a new room. Unfortunately, they were fully booked and there were no other rooms available. At that point we decided to just drive home. This was extremely unfortunate considering we were there with another family and had to completely cancel our plans for Sunday. Not to mention the fact we had to drive home at 10 pm with our two young children. The hotel did issue us a refund for our second night, but we have to pursue the refund with Expedia which we booked the reservation through. To say the hotel experience was a nightmare and completely ruined our weekend plans is an understatement.

- Diana (4/5): Convenient for my purpose but depressing rooms. - The size of the shower stalls. The reception desk staff. The interior of the room I was in had mismatched furniture. That was the second room I saw because the first had an odor that was probably cigarette smoke masked by air freshener. The food options were minimal and the hot water to make breakfast tea wasn’t hot enough. The exterior area might have been lovely if the furniture and fire pits were in better condition.

- Paula (2/5): Cigarettes, medieval, & modern... - Room smelled of cigarettes but the night clerk said they were sold out so my family couldn't be moved. Next morning, I spoke to someone (handyman & reception lady) at the front desk but no one reached back out to me. I would definitely not stay again. Additionally, the room was very spacious but not enough light fixtures so it was very very dim and furniture was of a medieval and simple modern combo.

- Kelly (5/5): Very disappointing compared to the previous stay. - I really like how kind the staff is. That sums it up for this visit. Room was not clean. (litteraly poop on the bathroom wall) It was right by the bar so we got to listen to a party. They were working on a room down the hall. More noise. We asked to move. Got another room that was not clean, but better than the poop. We stayed in this room. Bed was clean. Ask to stay away from the bar if you want sleep.

The only complaint I had is we were staying in a two bed room and one bed was insanely squeaky. Everytime they moved at night we were waking up. But our bed made no noise at all. Its crazy how much noise it made. Other than that, amazing stay. Will be staying again if I come to Santa Cruz for another over night.

- Jacob (4/5): Great staff, awful maintenance. - The front desk staff did their best to alleviate the problems we found with the room. Going from least bad to worst, the body wash in the shower was empty, the bottom of the desk was broken and hanging, there were big grey stains on the sheets, the front desk weren’t given a set in the right size for them to give to us, and worst of all, both beds’ mattresses had giant divots from presumably decades of use. This and the sheets appear to be due to a lack of maintenance funding. We left early.
- marissadX7801TX (8/5): Great hotel but needs noise control - The pros: location. Loved staying in Scotts Valley. Such a great location to everything: Santa Cruz, Henry Cowell Redwoods State Park (and many others!) San Jose, and so much more. The hotel front desk staff was friendly and welcoming. The room was clean and spacious. The cons: The NOISE. We stayed both Friday and Saturday night and both nights other guests in the patio were so loud. The first night, we let it slide, thinking it was just a one night thing but Saturday night it was the same thing but louder. We assumed that by 10 PM staff would close the patio to guests, especially given how loud they were being. Any rooms that faced out to the patio had full blast audio to those out there. But they weren’t told anything. Unfortunately, we had to call the front desk a couple of times before the guests either left the patio or finally got the hint from staff to be quiet. But by this time it was midnight. I had never experienced that kind of noise at any other hotel before and it was definitely disappointing in that regard because everything else was nice. Would recommend the hotel to close patio off by 10 PM in the future if this is a typical thing.

We let them know we did not need a handicapped room but based on their observation we required one.

- Shannon (8/5): - The lobby and rooms are updated and have a nice overall look and feel. We ate at the restaurant which is really just a handful of tables in the lobby. The hotel staff double as the servers - so it wasn't like having a designated server and the tables were still somewhat dirty from whoever was there previously. The room was spacious and clean and the bathroom seemed recently updated. However it was VERY hard to even turn the hot water handle on and off. When we returned to the room later we discoverd a huge puddle of water by the front door. We called for maintenance and clean towels (since we used all the towels wiping up the water) around 8:20pm. By 9:15pm we still had no one arrive, so we called back and the front desk person said she was the only person on staff and couldn't leave the front desk. She offered to still run towels to us, but I declined as we wanted to get ready for bed. We soon discovered it was the newly installed mini split that drains water down the wall and right in front of the hallway door when the AC goes off. I woke up to the sound of water draining down onto the floor. Since I knew there was no other staff, we just dealt with it. But this cannot be the first time this has happened! There was a good amount of road noise and also hallway noise. Overall decent hotel and updated, but not the quietest or the nicest.
