Duygu (9/5): Cozy stay - A very communal and cozy hostel. The staff were very helpful and super friendly. The rooms are very simply furnished, but you have everything you need. The location is perfect; everything in the city is within walking distance. The toilets and kitchen could be cleaner.
Hari Haran Sivakumar (10/5): - A calm and peaceful place located near the fort kochi beach. The host was very welcoming and accommodating and assisted with local cuisine which was much appreciated. And the place has 24 hours of hot water service.

Vansha Ann (7/5): IT WAS HELLA QUIET, SMALL AND BROWNIE POINTS FOR THE CATS THAT CHARM AROUND THE HOSTEL! - It was at a good location and I liked the vibe of the people who stayed there and Also if the manager was cute, and if they could smile more often! And lots of writes up, doodles and paintings by gokul they were so pretty. There was odd smell in the room; even after leaving the windows open for 2-3 hours the smell didn't go away and the staff were unacessible to me at all times and either they weren't seen or they were too busy to do anything I asked for

No one on check in when I arrived, cheap AC that didn't really do a good job, was lumped with two guys (who'd moved from another AC room where they had the same issue) that didn't really even want the AC on, despite paying for it 🤷 neither myself not the other guest were consulted about this and we were left to sweat when the guys came back, turned the AC temperature up and then left for hours... photos of the place aren't really representative of the state of the establishment. Cheap is the best selling point for this place.

The hosts were amazing, they helped me in suggesting good cafes and other must visit places nearby. Washroom facilities could be improved.

Dwarannavar (1/5): Zostel management please visit kochill - The brand name! On that basis we decided to go to Zostel Fort Cochi. We have visited Zostels in other parts of India. Let me list it down for you- The commode wasnt cleaned properly. There was no proper water supply in the bathroom both hot and cold. It took forever to fill just one bucket. The fan wasnt working and they had to replace it which took forever. Even that didnt work properly. The room had many mosquitoes and no repellent helped. Speaking about the kitchen.... its the most dirtiest place of the hostel. There was no detergent to wash vessels. So imagine the results. The neighbors have over 20 cats and they are all over the hostel.. making it stinky and uncomfortable. There is no car parking for the hostel. I would like to stop at this. Thanks

The private room smelled like mold and the bathroom also had molden spots. We were promised hot water for like 1 hour (always got to know "it will come soon"), and still ended up taking a cold shower. Hot shower was available in the morning. some homestays offer way better facilities for less than half the price.

Shanaz (2/5): Very poor - The location was good, it was walking distance to a few nice eateries and the ferry. We had a private room and bathroom which were clean and functional. The bed was comfortable. The staff were lethargic and had a bit of an attitude problem, we were asked to pay in cash when not warned before and when asked for a receipt they seemed confused and reluctant. They had a dog that barked aggressively when you come into the property and staff made no effort to restrain it when we were clearly scared by the situation. The areas around the entrance to the property had animal organs or something that caused at least 10 cats and crows to congregate and there was sick and poo just as you walk through the entrance. I think the staff should be a bit more tentative rather than sleeping in the reception when we are trying to check out at a reasonable hour in the morning.
