- Claude (6/5): wir haben la Gomera als Insel genossen, cleidrr zu viele Deutsche im Hotel - top Lage, kleines aber schönes Zimmer, gutes Restaurant unten an der Beach, gleich beim Golfplatz, genügend Liegestühle unfreundliche Frau im Service beim Frühstück, barsch und kein Anstand, im Gasthaus sind Gäste willkommen- im Wirtshaus der Wirt, teils im Service und an der Reception fühlte man sich im Wirtshaus. Schade.

Das Angebot beim Frühstück ist sehr gut, jedoch hat das Ganze aufgrund der vielen Menschen / Familien ein wenig etwas von einer Massenabfertigung, die Geräuschkulisse ist entsprechend hoch und es gibt nur Kaffeemaschinen zur Selbstbedienung. Bereits beim Check-In hat dieses Haus für uns verloren. Der Mitarbeiter an der Rezeption überzeugte mehr durch Arroganz denn durch Zugewandtheit. Eine Möglichkeit, im Hotel in einem der Restaurants zu Abend zu essen, bestand für diesen Tag laut seiner Aussage ("fully booked") nicht mehr. Anderen Ortes war dies auch nicht möglich. Da es in der vorhandenen Minibar auf dem Zimmer lediglich eine Flasche Wasser gab und keinerlei Snacks, Obst o. ä. hatten wir noch versucht, abends telefonisch an der Rezeption eine Kleinigkeit zu essen zu bestellen (notfalls auch gerne Nüsse o.ä.), auch dieses war nicht möglich. Die Aufenthaltsqualität war dem Preis in keinster Weise angemessen.

Außergewöhnlich gepflegte Gartenanlage. Sehr freundliches Personal. Trotz neuer Bauweise der Rooms sind Geräusche von den Nebenzimmer und oberhalb zu hören.

En de faciliteiten zoals gym en sportactiviteiten zijn top. Yoga, Pilates en Aquagym! Kamers zijn mooi, niet groot maar wel balkon en top king size bed. Allemaal vernieuwd het afgelopen jaar. We hadden liever uitzicht op zee gehad.

Free parking. Excellent weather. Good road access to other parts of this beautifull island. My only complaint was the lack of a kettle for tea/coffee making in the room.

Wir hatten ein tolles Zimmer von dem aus wir das Meer hören und jeden Tag den Sonnenaufgang sehen konnten. Alles war sauber! Das Essen am Buffet könnte besser sein, aber in den Spezialitätenrestaurant war’s sehr gut! Generell muss ich aber sagen, dass das Jammern auf hohem Niveau ist.. Das Service war hervorragend! Ich würde sofort wieder kommen! Die Tennisplätze könnten ein wenig renoviert werden..

- Jennifer (9/5): Amazing location and great facilities and food but can feel hectic at times and staff don’t always seem happy. - It is a beautifully maintained resort hotel with a fantastic pool and terrace area and amazing views out over the ocean. The quality and variety of food at the breakfast and evening buffets was exceptional. The restaurant staff often seemed unhappy or stressed. The cleaners never said hello or smiled. The buffet breakfast felt like a scramble on some days, to get a seat, a bit hectic instead of relaxing. The staff at the Trattoria Restaurant were not very attentive at first -we waited a long time to be seated and to be served. Two of them did smile and were more helpful later. When a Cory’s Shearwater chick crashed into the bush at the edge of the restaurant, they swiftly came to gently pick it up and safely stow it in a box, and I wish we could have received the same level of care and prompt service!

Le spa aussi est sympa, petit mais pas trop envahi (hors saison). On peut aussi lézarder devant la piscine principale. Partout on nous fournit des chaises longues et des serviettes.

Si reservas con su web tienes descuentos en los ferrys a Tenerife ( Son empresa Fred Olsen) pero si lo haces con booking eres de segunda y no te lo hacen, el armario en la habitación es pequeño para dos personas y una semana y por último el combinado Margarita que nos sirvieron en la terraza fue el peor que he tomado en mi vida y a 10€

Restaurant choice very good and the food is exceptional the choice is vast and something for everyone. The property is set on a cliff side so it isn’t for the faint hearted it would be very difficult to get around if you were unfit or had a walking disability. ‘Ladies no high heels’

Es liegt im.Hang, man sollte gut zu Fuß sein, und auch Steigungen bewältigen können, je nachdem, wo das Zimmer liegt. Das Essen war fantastisch, es fehlte an gar nichts. - Armin (2/5): inkompetente Rezeption, zu dicht bebaut - Der Check in war schrecklich: Unser Zimmer sollte #111 sein. Dafür gabs auch den elektronischen zimmerschlüssel. Auf der Karte des hotelgeländes wurde an der Rezeption aber 101 eingetragen! Als wir dort nach vielen Metern ankamen stellte sich heraus, daß die Rezeption uns auf der Gelände karte das falsche Zimmer eingetragen hatte. Wir sind dann allerdings weiter zu #111 gelaufen und dort hat der zimmersclüssel funktioniert. D.h. die Rezeption weiss nicht bescheid. Noch unverschämter war dann allerdings der Anruf im Zimmer, wir hätten nachdem das mit #101 nicht funktioniert hat wieder zurück laufen sollen. Wer ist hier der Gast und wer schickt die Gäste im Gelände herum. Keine 4sterne!
- Steven (10/5): - I had a lovely stay at this wonderful hotel. Nice rooms, great dinner, cool entertainment. And spectacular views. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Especially Daniel Cordero, who even helped me with my car troubles after his shift just finished. Talk about going above and beyond!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Cozy stay, great food - Nice stay, cozy environment with the garden and old trees. Broad and selective menues at the restaurants at lunch, great food. We have half pension and the buffet dinner was really nice. Room cozy and updated, however the paintwork of the ceiling must have been done in quite a hurry, since there was painting all over the floor in the bathroom. What a pity when you update your rooms. What a waste. Otherwise the appearance could have been much better. Also we had a great ocean view. Missed some more kind of pillows in a four star hotel. They also changed the towels each day, not necessary, also watering the trees in the middle of the day was bit weird in an islands that did not have any rain for 2 years. I think customers would understand the need to reduce water. Ex only wash towels if they are at the floor and not shift them every day.
- Catherine (10/5): I’d recommend this hotel to anyone. - It has just been completely refurbished, everything is clean and smart, the staff are friendly and competent and the food is great. If people are reading negative reviews, it’s important to know that the hotel was closed from March-Dec 2024 to be completely refurbished - so only reviews on/after Dec 2024 are relevant.

- Karen (1/5): Bad - The room smelt of drains & sewage. We were on a one night stay for my Daughters' Birthday. And noticed something in the middle of the night. Next morning after coming back from breakfast it was horrific. They refused to make any good gesture saying we should have asked to change rooms. Then said it was nothing to do with them because we had booked through Booking.com.
- Diarmaid (8/5): Hidden gem of a hotel, but soon to be completely operated. It will probably be posher and more expensive.! - Beautiful location, perched on cliffs overlooking to sea . Very good food in the à la carte restaurants , lovely swimming pool. We wanted to do more hiking, but most good walks seem to be in Valle Grand Rey area , which is an hours drive away

- David (8/5): A very enjoyable stay and the hotel will improve after it's soon to be renovation - The hotel was very comfortable and overall very good. We enjoyed the 'adults only' section to the rear of the tennis courts with it's own small pool and Bali beds, and our room 11 was on the end with a nice private terrace overlooking Mt Teide. The quality and choice of the food in the buffet dinner could have been better for what we were paying.

- Robert (9/5): Altogether a great success, aided by near-perfect weather. - The room was comfortable with plenty of space to put away the clothes. There was a wide choice of food at breakfast and dinner and the drinks were reasonably priced. The 'Cub Laurel' restaurant and trattoria were excellent, and getting there via the lift down the cliff was enjoyable exercise. There was no-one to show the way to the room when we arrived and the map was barely adequate. A 4-star hotel should provide free drinking water, and it should not charge €2 per day to use the room safe.
- David (3/5): Disappointing and poor value for money- avoid until after the refurbishment promised for 2024. - - having to get a ticket on arrival, to queue for reception like it was a supermarket deli counter - tickets for poolside towels limited to one per day and a penalty if the ticket not returned - €300 per night room but an additional €2 per day charge for the safe and still water charged at €2 for 50 ml -arriving at the pool side bar at 17.50 to be told it was closed when the published close time was 18.00. Grudgingly supplied with a drink after politely pointing to the closing time advertised in the hotel guide. -scruffy fittings in the room- torn and dirty lampshades, tired and outdated cupboards -booking system used for restaurants relied on giant screens copied from McDonalds - poor food- unpleasant pasta dishes and overcooked meat - see the photo for a 4 star hotel’s idea of how a menu should be presented
- Tracey (10/5): Fabulous Vegan Friendly Hotel in a stunning location! - The hotel is really beautiful - we loved the way it felt like a little village. We had a comfort room and it was great, it had a lovely private balcony with a partial sea view. The bathroom was lovely and clean with a power shower. The pool areas are great and there was always plenty of space and beds. The grounds and planting are all beautiful and clean. We chose this hotel because it is vegan friendly and the food options it offers are amazing! We really appreciated the vegan friendly cakes and desserts in the evening and the option of vegan tuna and vegan Salmon on the lunchtime menu. We would recommend to other vegans and non-vegans of course. The cliff walk out of the left at the front of the hotel is beautiful too! The breakfast wasn't the best for us. They had vegan bacon but other than that it was cold beans and some potatoes. Some vegan sausages, scrambled tofu and vegan yoghurt options would be a much appreciated addition.

- Jared (6/5): An old friend needs an update. - My fourth stay. A beautifully landscaped property needs a little work on the rooms. The bed was old and the floors are very slippery when wet (I fell and sprained a knee). The towels were so worn that one tore while I used it. The staff are marvelously helpful, especially Miriam on the front desk.
