Guest Reviews
- Greig (10/5): - Great place to stay for golf and snooker
- Richard (8/5): - Triple room in annex, have to go out of ‘main’ hotel facilities to get to room, via key access. Spacious room, bathroom satis and correct number of towels delivered when requested.
Public bar with darts, pool and numerous TV options. Good quality breakfast - a la carte plus cereal. Polite staff. Overall, really good value for our stay.
- ALISTAIR (10/5): - Conveniently situated.
- alan (10/5): - It was lovely and quiet
- Daniel (2/5): Very poor - Booked online only to told on arrival there’s no room
- Steve (4/5): Beautiful setting, but very dated hotel - Very clean but very dated, smelt of cigarettes in the room
- Philip (8/5): - Very friendly team, couldn’t be more helpful, clean room and comfortable bed.
- Sheila (10/5): Fantastic recommend to everyone - Our stay at The Red House was just great. We were there for a funeral and the sensitivity was beyond what was asked. therefore they deserve our 11 out of 10 rating. the rooms are spacious as is the bathroom. comfort is brilliant and they deserve a higher star rating than they have. Would not recommend them high enough to all friends and family. thank you so much for making a difficult day perfect.
- Philip (10/5): Great stay - Stayed there a few times time and always a lovely stay, rooms are extremely clean and tidy and the restaurant food is great! Breakfast sets me up for the day and always served with a smile. Most recent trip was during the pandemic and local lockdowns in the area however, contactless check on was great amd the guys looked after me.
- Scott (10/5): Mr Scott grant - Just a well run and very friendly place
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Very friendly and hospital food was excellent, room was adequate and spacious. The toilet fan is noisy but everything is very good
- Philip (8/5): - No real ale in the bar
- Julie (6/5): - Unfortunately it was very noisy the first night we stayed. Drunk men talking at top of their voices, slamming doors. Doors could do with sift closing
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Room was very clean. The only thing was we could hear the music very loudly in our room at night. It did get switched off at 11pm.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - The property was ideally situated for the purpose of our visit. The breakfast and evening meals were superb. Staff were helpful and friendly
- Verified traveler (8/5): - They made you very welcome and made your stay great
- Sybil (10/5): Very good - Stays for business and was pleased with the exception spaciousness of the large room. It had a desk that made working easy. Had a very good evening meal in the restaurant
- Verified traveler (10/5): A good and nice hotel - Red house hotel is more like a motel, near the street, actually in a rund about. BUT still a very price worthy and good hotel. We enjoyed staying there, we had a day of from your touring i Scotland and just relaxed, reading a book and played some snooker. The hotel offers also acces to the gym and squash. The room was big and lots of space.
- Les (8/5): Nice hotel, ample parking, great breakfast - Chose this hotel as the best value around while the Open Championship was on at Carnoustie. Great location meant that our journey to the Golf was not affected by traffic jams. The staff were very welcoming and the food in the restaurant was of a very high quality.
Bar staff also very attentive. Very competitive prices.
- Verified traveler (8/5): - Central location, with easy access to road network.
