Guest Reviews
- Barbara (10/5): - We loved our stay, and wish we had more time. The host was extremely helpful in suggesting an itinerary. Delicious breakfast!
- Claire (10/5): - Hébergement très spacieux, confortable, très propre. Petit déjeuner sucré copieux. L'hôte a été très disponible et sympathique. A recommander
- Verified traveler (8/5): Delightful week at Les Mazets - Really enjoyable stay and Jean-Luc and Karine were most welcoming. Very good location for visiting the most picturesque sights in the Luberon, no local venues for evening walks or entertainment, but lovely quiet rural spot and delightful birdsong. Super breakfasts on our own private terrace.
Only drawback- difficulties paying at end as no card machine- so bank transfer best probably if it doesn’t keep timing out from UK, (or oodles of cash withdrawals!)
- Robert (10/5): - A real find! Centrally located in the hills of the south Luberon and not far from many of Provence's most popular and visited cities and villages, including Aix-en-Provence, Lourmarin, Bonnieux and Gordes. Les Mazets du Luberon consists of a series of refurbished and beautifully restored guest accommodations spread over several hectares. Owners Karine and Jean Luc did the renovations and manage the facility. Included, by the way, in the room rate is a very substantial daily breakfast, including coffee, pastries, and freshly-squeezed orange juice. We loved the view of the Luberon mountain behind and the Durance River valley below, and enjoyed the fresh air perfumed by the scent of pine and local herbs. To say that the night sky is star filled is perhaps to understate how breath-taking it is. Also of note: the infamous Mistral is part of life in Provence, and being on the lee side of the Luberon mountain affords some measure of respite when the notorious wind blows. No place is perfect, and the extensive use of travertine tiles, inside and out, can get slippery when wet, especially in the shower. (No grab bars in the shower, either.) And as a personal note, while my preference is for my breakfast coffee to come from a French press, the single-use coffee pod machines are ubiquitous, and the machine in our room worked just fine. All in all, we would not only gladly return ourselves to stay again at Les Mazets du Luberon, but we also plan to send future surplus houseguests there.
- Jenna (10/5): Les Mazets in Oct - We had such a relaxing week at Les Mazets. Extremely comfortable accommodations, centrally located to explore Provence. We enjoyed a tasty breakfast every morning on the patio, and the hosts were so helpful in providing some recommendations for our visit. Overall loved our stay here, and would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet getaway in the countryside.
