• James (1/5): - Not much was problem after problem as soon as we got there. The apartment was not accurately described on the booking and it was nothing but problems after we arrived. From cockroachs all through the apartment, to filthy pots/pans/kettle, missing bath plugs which made it impossible to both our kids easily, a faulty microwave, missing high chair for half our stay, to broken cupboards half hanging off or some missing all together it was not at all worth the money we paid and definitely not family friendly!!! It is also a ground level apartment in the busiest part of Melbourne so over the weekend was very loud to try and get kids to sleep. In the lead up to the stay the company also notified me they required a license for all adults staying as well as needing a $500 security bond which was not shown at the time of booking which was frustrating and made our family nervous about fraudulent activity. I was advised if I didn't abide by the requests they would need to cancel my booking even though these were not shown to my at the time of booking on the app months before!! In all my years of staying with booking.com or air bnb this was the worst apartment I've stayed in. Would not recommend at all.

On arrival noticed the lift wasn’t in order, was hard to carry all bags and suitcases, no balcony as stated, needed oven trays, big bowls, alfoil, cling wrap ( kitchen needs )

• Cathy & Jonas (3/5): Absolutely disgusting - Good location Well the aircon was noisy, the single beds some legs where broken, not very clean, the lounge and chairs had stains all over them and stunk, the bathtub shower was slippery, toilet wouldn’t flush properly, dirty cups, cockroaches, exposed wires on light fixtures, I would never stay here ever, the parking is not explained properly.

Unfortunately it needs a deep clean, the bathrooms need a good scrub, vacuuming needs to be better and definitely give the floor a mop. I could tell that whoever cleans pretty much just changes the sheets and towels and that’s about it. Staff were very responsive to questions.

• Susan (1/5): Very dirty and broken beds - There were bugs crawling everywhere including inside fridge, the aircon was so noisy you couldn't leave it on. There was mould in the second bathroom on the blinds and also between the rooms in the loungeroom. The beds were broken. The main bedroom bed looked ok until you sat or layed on it and it .ade so much noise because it was coming apart from the head and ends. Just overall dirty, non usable aircon and broken beds. Things that are needed to enjoy a stay. I have videos of all this and I would never recommend this property.

User beware… the only good thing about this accommodation was the location!! - Good location Broken elevator (no notification about this at all, one member of my family has mobility issues so this was a big issue). Ripped dining chair, filthy upholstery on chairs, screws coming up through seats of dining chairs, dining table looked like my 11 year old made it at school. Stains on most of floor mats. The lounge and bedroom blinds did not operate, we could not close them properly. Two of the beds had broken slats under mattress that could obviously be seen hanging on the floor. Bathroom fans did not work. Shower “screen” broken, mouldy and wouldn’t close. Hot water ran out both days. The entire apartment had a funky smell. Grossly, grossly overpriced. Deceitful advertising, photos not of actual apartment booked. Holiday makers beware!!! I felt like I was staying in a hostel or a camp ground, not in an apartment I paid over $1000 a night for!!! Absolutely disgusted. Phoning the company did nothing. They did not care.

The hot water system was terrible. Ran out after 2 or 3 showers and will 8 people that’s not good enough!!! After a massive day of travel and getting there so late we ALL needed a hot shower and I went 4th and went freezing cold!!!! Wasn’t happy. Also no cord for the antenna in the master bedroom so we couldn’t even watch TV!!!

Door codes are not released till the day. Would prefer to have someone at the accommodation for assignment of the codes considering all check in are 3pm daily - unless early entry special is sought. The couch needs to be changed in apartment I had all those old food stains were not a good look
• Robyn (4/5): Disappointing - the apartment was very spacious and comfortable and in a good location easy to get around the sity I didn't like the fact that we had no hot water for the entire duration of our stay and when we turned on a light switch it blew the fuses.
• Kmogan (4/5): Disappointed stay in ReadySet Apartment, Melbourne - The location of the apartment is right in the centre of the city, many restaurants and tram nearby, 3rd room no heater and wall watery all day long. All the rooms and bathroom no latch to lock. Heater temperature not able to control beyond 22degC. (Winter season). 5 out of 7 evenings no hot shower, feedback to the host but the unsolved reply obtained 12 hours later imagine this is during winter season. 6 occupants boiled water to shower... disappointed and regretted booking this apartment. Host is hopeless, i stopped messaging after the second day. (I still have the WhatsApp conversation with the host as evidence.)

• Beck (8/5): Large Apartment - Home away from home - The location was great for our needs on this stay. The size of the apartment was amazing! Great for families or groups of friends wanting to stay together. The bedroom sizes were substantial with the master having an ensuite. Full size kitchen and laundry. Massive living area. We revived messages during our stay to make sure everything was right and offering assistance if we needed it. Access to the room was via a code which meant we didn’t have to cary keys around either. Cooling options were limited, when we opened the windows for airflow there was road noise.

Good ceiling height. Room to move around. Good number of towels provided. Overall an Average stay. Provided feedback based on our experiences. Firstly, accommodation was booked for 3 bedrooms and "3 bathrooms" as we were 3 couples. Unfortunately, the apartment came with only 2 bathrooms, and this was disappointing as booking was paid for 3 bathrooms, which was our major criteria and requirements for booking this accommodation. Communicated to the staff but dont recollect receiving a reply. :( Secondly, - Chairs were broken, the bed was broken (was indicated in the info book provided but should have mended before letting out as it was in one of the bedroom), and another double bed made a lot of creaking sounds - Toilet seats in both bathrooms were loose and moving. All the above was mentioned to apartment staff via text and email, so the deposit was not confiscated for broken items. We were told the maintenance person would attend but was not fixed during our stay. Finally, there were lots of small cockroaches in the kitchen area, fridge, dishwasher, etc. Feedback: Need a thorough pest control and maintenance work on furniture. Overall an Average stay. Property didn't meet our expectations for the above reasons.

• Katy (3/5): Warning: Read reviews prior to booking!!! - Comfortable beds, lots of space, and great location Tv and remote not compatible, not able to use. No blind at a window and dirty sheets in a bedroom. Bedroom couldn't be used due to dirty sheets and a very bright street light. Made contact with Readyset apartments, maintenance order created but could not fix during this stay. Promised a cleaner would come, but no cleaner showed up during stay. The apartment also has a very wet/mouldy smell and needs a deep clean, lots of dust!
• Kerry (7/5): Well located apartments, good value for money, yet let down by a few issues. - The apartment is very well located within easy walking distance to trams. The apartments was very large with large bedrooms and comfortable beds. There are plenty of good restaurants within walking distance. There wasn't any toilet paper in the apartment when we arrived and we arrived late. Meaning we had to scrounge for napkins and tissues until the morning. I would have thought toilet paper would have been a given. Our apartment fronted King Street. King Street is a very busy street with lots of traffic. The traffic starts early and continues until very late. Not a problem if you are used to traffic noise. Pretty hard to get a good night sleep. The apartment doesn't have air conditioning. The time we were there the temperature was in the low to mid 30's and the apartment was pretty stuffy. You couldn't open the windows at night to cool the place due the traffic noise. This made it uncomfortable. I don't think it would be very pleasant if the temperature was in the high 30's. Who builds apartments without putting air-conditioning in them. There were some maintenance issues ( 1 toilet not working properly, bedroom blinds wouldn't go up etc,) the management needs to be on top of this as it made the place seem tired.

Carpets dirty and torn. Trip Hazard. Mold in bathroom. Health hazard. Bathroom Exhaust not operational. Cannot use the mirrors after shower. No separate toilet. No ceiling fans or air con in bedroom. Very stuffy as no air circulation. Windows very dirty and did not want to open them. Floor fans not operational. Communication regarding codes to enter the building and parking is confusing. The remote to enter the car park is inside the room. However we cannot get to the room untill the car is parked. There is no waiting area for the car to be parked or wait. At the time of check in this caused a major drama.

Short walk from Southern Cross Station, and close to Queen Victoria Markets and smaller supermarkets. The free tram around the corner gets you everywhere you need in the city. Will definitely stay there again.

We were grateful that a portable cot and highchair were available for our use. It wasnt as clean as we would have thought on arrival. Eg gum on floor and other peoples washing in dryer. Several things didnt work properly or were broken eg vent in onsuite covered in dust so not working properly towel rails broken in both bathrooms. More cooking utensils etc could have been useful. Changing the door code a day after arrival wasnt ideal.

The apartment was clean, spacious, secure, and comfortable. The host provided instructions on how to check in and how to access the apartment and car parking space. I was also able to call the host when needed and found them to be more than helpful. There is nothing I didn't like about our stay.
• M'lynda (7/5): Not bad for the price - It is a good location and a big size for 8 people to stay. It was what I expected. The whole place seemed like it hadn't been cleaned properly in a while. A bedroom light was out and there was a broken kettle as well as a working kettle kept in the cupboard. And there could be better instructions for using the elevator from the car park to the rooms.
• Shamsul (7/5): A decent place to stay in cbd . - The house is decent. The cutlery and kitchenware are all clean. It was easy to communicate with them and they reply fast. The tv was broken, I asked for it to get fixed and they gave me another remote which doesnt work. So in the end, the tv couldnt be used. The toilet doesnt have locks.

• Alicia (2/5): Well below expectations - Location Size Could be an amazing place - but absolutely isn't! Missing shower door in ensuite; fans didn't work in either bathroom or laundry; laundry door missing; only 1 wine glass - and it was broken; couldn't raise blinds throughout; dusty and dirty under/around beds; broken dining chairs stacked in the corner of the lounge; not enough dining chairs to accommodate the 8 people booked; not enough couches/sofa's or other seating. Worst of all - no substantive response received from management on these issues, which we're raised with them on night 1 of 5...

• Natalie (6/5): Things need fixing - Enough space for us all. Nice clean bedding. Nice hot water for showers. Location easy access to transport. The door code wasn't sent. There was mould on shower blind. Alot of lights and power points do not work, could be fall hazard as steps within property and no lights to see. Bed in top room very creaky. Oven has no dial for temp or function. Kettle leaks. Cupboard has no door.

• Karen (8/5): Great location and price for an apartment in Melbourne city - Location was close to tram, city, restaurants and shopping. Great price for city apartment. Owner was very helpful and made sure we got door codes and made it safely into the apartment. Apartment was on the old side and need some attention. Wooden floors squeaked when walked on and bathroom towel rails came off and one bed was unusable due to wooden rails camping off. But only minor issues.

The apartment had no air-conditioning and no electric fan, a bit stuffy inside as it was 40 degrees Celsius in Melbourne. Had some sort of unpleasant smell. The blinds were slightly broken. Had to buy my own electric fan as they could not lend us one.

• Natalie (2/5): Disappointing apartment - will NOT recommend to anyone to stay at ReadySet Apartments. - The airconditioning was very good. Kitchen was dirty with cockroaches, cupboard doors damaged (one was off, another was broken). Oven was not usable with the dials were not there (worn off? - how do you use an oven that does not have any visible controls?). There were 6 of us and only 4 dessert/breakfast spoons. Apartment was supposed to sleep 11 but there were only 2 small saucepans to cook with, no frypans but ... 6 colanders! No tea towels. Minimal cooking utensils (no tongs, serving spoons). Aplartment was almost backpacker standard, not apartment standard. Very overpriced.
• Dezza (7/5): ok for a few days - spacious dining chairs are dirty, walls are dirty, one aircon for a 3 bedroom apartment isnt enough. should consider more aircons or ceiling fans, second toilet does not flush properly.

• Nicole (4/5): it was ok, wouldn’t recommend or stay again - comfortable beds great location unsafe barriers on stair case, couldn’t stand upright in top floor, one 3 seater couch for 8 people (only 6 stayed), not worth $808
• Henry (2/5): Would never stay again - Location was good for purposes we were there. Room was absolute disgrace. Wasn't clean, bedding had stains, coach roaches in kitchen, does not look anything like photos and got told couldn't book parking only to walk out and not see one car in top parking spaces.
