That we should have stayed another night or two! If we were being really picky, perhaps some bread with the breakfast provisions would have been nice (noting that breakfast wasn't technically provided though).We loved it.

• Richelle (10/5): Heaven - our Tassie home away from home! - Entire stay was a 'chef's kiss'. It felt like a home away from home. You can feel the love & care that the hosts have taken with the property. We were staying in Smithton to visit family in the area. The kitchen was so well equipped we even slow cooked pulled pork and took prepared dinner over to our families house. The moment we arrived - it felt like we had been given to keys to Grandmas house (I mean that in the warmest way!). The fireplace was ready stacked, the cupboard was full of breakfast foods, the array of DVD's - we were instantly relaxed and literally felt like home. We will FOREVER stay here when we visit family in Smithton! The VIEW - damn, I haven't even mentioned the view. From the master bedroom, you awake to full water views. Even at night, when the moon was full there was a glorious glow on the water! The verandah is so lovely to sit, relax & take it all in - watching the tides ebb & flow...perfect for holiday relaxing. Oh an you MUST do your self a favour - the BEST steak is Cape Brim brand from the butchers in Smithton. We have eaten very expensive steaks over the world...but this is incredible! Tassie produce is 2nd to NONE! Tarkine Oysters are world class too - Smithton is spoilt for great food!!!

Everything was perfect and more well appointed than I expected, very clean for a bush location. Spa bath on balcony was absolutely amazing. Highlight of the entire trip! Wish we stayed longer.

The view is worth a million, constantly changing throughout the day, but always beautiful. It is going to be a regular. Absolutely can't wait to go back. Leaving. It was horrible to leave. • Joanne (8/5): Smithton Sunsets from a well equipped property. - The property has the most wonderful views from its elevated position. The driveway is steep - but worth it. Imagine beautiful sunsets in front of a roaring fire on the deck in autumn - that’s what we got. (Not sure if the owners arranged the sunsets, but the fire & indoor wood burner were ready to light.) Kitchen was stocked with choice of cereals plus milk & juice for breakfast plus other nice touches. There were many appliances & cookware options and a BBQ to boot. Bathroom & kitchen were very clean, but allergies were triggered in the bedroom (maybe dusty curtains?). Local wildlife in the garden was an added bonus. Smithton is located in the north-west, close to the Tarkine drive & Stanley. It has grocery stores & coffee shops making this a great property to base yourself for a few days or just as a romantic getaway.

The undercover patio overlooking the ocean with the wood heater, hot tub and inbuilt sound system is just magic. I dislike that I can't live here permanently haha. Zero complaints. The wood fire was fantastic and kept the whole house warm. The furnishings were impressive and everything was catered for There was nothing that we did not like.

No fly screens on the windows so trying to let nice sea breezes in were out of the question as during the day flys monstered us and at night mosquitoes monstered us.

• Francis (10/5): - As we drove down the unpaved road towards the property, i think everybody in the car was getting a bit nervous we then saw the sign and turned in and started going up the steep road and i got a lot of "are you sure ?" Im like trust me. We reached the cabin walked through the back door and everybody was just blown away as we walked through it. We then got to the verandah and just looked out at the sea view. Its beautifully furnished but has all the mod cons. Sitting out on the porch beside the fire watching the sun going down is amazing. The location is super peaceful but only 5 minutes from a woolworths so the best of both worlds. Next time we visit i will book for more than 1 night........

Big kitchen lots of utensils. both indoor and outdoor fires set ready to be lit. Little details that made for a wonderful stay. Warm and cosy and beautiful location set on top of a quarry. There was very little not to love about this property. Would be great to have outdoor blinds to cut the wind down. Unlucky for us they we North east winds the whole time we were there. Fresh bread would be a great extra.

A relaxed, country, old style accomodation -very sweet and very enjoyable. The inside and outside wood heaters and outdoor spar were very wonderful! Nothing really! But very Pleased we didn’t take our motorbikes as the steep driveway in the wet would have been challenging.
