- Sarah (9/5): - Lovely peaceful location. Very clean and delicious brownies on arrival. Fabulous breakfast set us up for the day. Staff friendly and cheerful. 😀 Nice to have a bath but it was a bit shallow!
- Lynda (10/5): -
- Mirella (10/5): Ideal area for walking. - Lovely location and friendly knowledgeable hosts.
Ariana and Jamie work very well as a team and Jamie's breakfasts are absolutely second to none with local produce used whenever possible.
Lovely garden and seating area.
- Steve (8/5): Lovely place, in Thomas Hardy country.. - A lovely property in a little village in the heart of Dorset.
The hosts are lovely, but our room was a little tired although perfectly acceptable.
On the other hand the breakfast was outstanding - I had probably the best omelette I’ve ever eaten in a hotel or B&B anywhere.. The decor needed updating.
- Wilkinson (10/5): Wish we could have stayed longer. - A lovely cottage hotel with plenty of character and beautifully maintained grounds. The rooms are modern, spotless, and very comfortable, with everything you need for a relaxing stay. A perfect mix of traditional charm and contemporary comfort. N/A
- Price (10/5): Excellent in all aspects - Delightful Nothing

- Antony (9/5): Lovely home from home - Lovely hosts. Comfy bed. Good parking. Quiet. Excellent breakfast. Thx
- Neill (9/5): Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. - Pretty cottage in rural hamlet yet only a few minutes drive into Dorchester. Peaceful location, good sized room and very comfortable bed. Ariane and Jamie were friendly and welcoming. We are looking forward to our next visit. Nothing.
- Kerri (10/5): Lovely stay in a beautiful setting - Lovely accomodation just out of Dorchester. Beautiful scenery and the best breakfast. Nothing
- Sonia (7/5): Pleasant and quiet. - Quiet, nice garden Shower - having to climb into very high sided bath !! - not easy for elderly.
- Steve (8/5): very good - very comfortable. nice location
- Emma (10/5): - The hostess was friendly and very accommodating, the cottage was beautiful and well maintained. We had everything we needed. Loved our stay there and the breakfast was exceptional! At times you could hear neighbours through the wall in the evenings, but it didn't detract from the overall experience and did not disturb our sleep.
- Debbie (10/5): Perfect on every level and superb value for money. - The location was lovely, quiet but still close enough to the town. Parking was great and easy to find. The garden area with seating was so pretty. The room was perfect and the attention to detail was excellent. Little things like a teapot and coffee pot in the room, a living plant and blackout blinds at the windows as well as curtains and tiebacks. All very tasteful. The hosts were on hand to meet us and also found out from a friend that the chef/owner has exceptional cuisine status. The breakfast was delicious and presented beautifully. For this price and location you cannot do any better - we'll be back for sure. Bravo!!!! Nothing, absolutely nothing.
- Louisa (9/5): Exactly what I was looking for - comfortable, dog friendly - Generously sized room which was nice and clean and looked nice. Good layout. Dog friendly and they made a fuss of my dog. Good breakfast and situated in a lovely hamlet.
- Gillian (10/5): Wonderful cottage B&B with outstanding breakfast and lovely rooms - Yalbury Cottage is a delightful B&B, very close to the amenities in Dorchester but out in the country with beautiful views. Jamie and Ariane are very welcoming. The room I had was spacious and comfortable with a lovely view over fields. There is plenty of space and chairs in the cottage's garden to enjoy the tranquil setting. Fresh milk was available to accompany the room's tea and coffee supplies and a delicious home-made chocolate brownie was provided. The bathroom had a bath and a very efficient shower. Breakfast was outstanding in terms of the choice and quality. I am already hoping to return later in the year! Nothing. It was all super.
- Kaisa (10/5): Perfect place to stay close to Dorchester - Everything was perfect! What a beautiful place and the rooms were so comfortable! We were greeted like friends and everything was taken care of so well all the time. It was an amazing experience and we would have wanted to stay longer but alas, the road calls.
- Debbie (9/5): Lovely stay in a great location. - Fabulous location. Gorgeous view of lambs, alpacas. Great hosts. Bed and duvet were a bit on the small side!

- graeme_norman (9/5): Fantastic family friendly countryside cottage. Perfect for a getaway and for exploring Dorset. - Lovely cottage in a really nice quiet location. It had a really nice outside courtyard for eating / having a drink overlooking the countryside.
The room was very spacious, comfy and clean. Came with tea / coffee facilities and some lovely home made brownies. The breakfast was really good in their nice dining area inside. All freshly cooked and nothing was too much trouble.
The cottage was in a great location for exploring all along the coast.
Would 100% recommend Yalbury Cottage for anyone visiting Dorset. N/A

Really helpful owner
Home made marmalade
Warm room. Prefer a shower to one over the bath as balance and mobility not the best

- Wilma (9/5): Wonderful! - It was lovely to stay at Yalbury Cottage. It’s close to Thomas Hardy’s Cottage nestled in a beautiful hamlet. The rooms are clean and equipped with everything you might need. The sheep and lambs behind the cottage made our stay very special. There is a short drive to a near local pub. We had breakfast at the cottage and it was excellent. Everything is lovely.

- Brigitte Maria (9/5): Wunderschöne Location - Ein wunderschönes altes Haus mit Reetdach. Sehr sauber. Perfekte Mahlzeiten.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a view of the garden. The welcome was warm and kind. We appreciated the delicious brownies we found in the room and that you could request fresh milk in the morning directly to your room.
The only regret? That we couldn't stay for dinner at the restaurant, but from what we saw everything looked great. Nothing really, it was a lovely stay.
Maybe the water pressure was a bit too low, but that's just nitpicking ;)
