- Holly (8/5): Beautiful chateau, ideal for exploring the area. - Beautiful chateau, comfortable rooms, friendly and helpful hosts, excellent breakfast. Had three great sleeps due to it being so quiet and relaxing. Due to the weather we didn’t get to use the pool or the bicycles but it’s great that they have them available.
- CLAIRE (10/5): Excellent accueil, beauté des lieux, paisible - Très bon accueil, château décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Petit déjeuner copieux. Très bonne literie. Parc superbe autour du château. Endroit paisible. Ras

- Timothy (10/5): Old World Charm, luxurious stay - Beautiful property, gorgeous house, lovely rooms, 4 star luxury in very cozy surroundings. This felt like staying with your aristocratic relatives, not at all like a hotel stay. Even the china and the linens were top quality. Breakfast was also divine.

- Vasyl (10/5): Amazing place. Very clean and beautiful rooms. Welcoming staff. Highly recommend the place. -
- Cynthia (9/5): Superb - Breakfast was great. Service was excellent and the staff provided great suggestions for dining and other activities.
- Lacin (9/5): So peaceful, beautiful. Much enjoyable. Wish we could stay longer - The Chateau has a lovely garden and has been decorated very beautifully. Tiny village, very quiet. We enjoyed our stay very much. Loved the place so much that we didn’t go out for dinner. Instead we had a picnic in the garden, the best one can get. Nothing
- Krister (10/5): Classic top-standard Chateau with very helpful hostess. - Wonderful 250- year old building with much, much classic character. A visit to Chateau Lynch-Bages is included. The hostess is very charming. A clean, beautiful swimming pool with just the right temperature. Really good breakfast. For some the location may be too calm but for me perfect.
- Clive (8/5): Great place to stay - Beautiful building. Lovely rooms. Good breakfast. Excellent helpful staff. Nothing
- Karl-olof (10/5): The perfect place to stay when visiting the St. Estephe and Pauillac area. - The Chateau was in a beautiful condition both externally as well as inside with large communal spaces to meet up. With only five bedrooms, breakfast room and and the lounges where never crowded and the same goes for beautiful garden and the outdoor swimming pool. What made our stay very special was the superb service provided by Gilles, managing successful the hospitality at the highest level. Being present from early morning to around 7 PM and later if required, he made sure that breakfast was provided immediately when we showed up in the morning and arranged wine from the well stocked wine cellar and other refreshments when requested. Gilles even went to the shop early one evening to buy cold sliced meats and cheese, bread and other complimentary dishes when we late in the afternoon decided that we were too tired to visit one of the local restaurants.
- Ross (10/5): Exceptional -
- Angel (10/5): - Breakfast was excellent .The two employes were oustanding with great service and a free wine tour and tasting of their wines Need a car to get there and drive around
- Jing (10/5): A wonderful stay - An elegant château with friendly and helpful owner. The room is spacious and clean with a comfortable bed and sofa. Coffee and tea are provided. The toiletries in the bathroom are of quality . I like the breakfast in the château, which has ham, eggs and jam It is recommended to installl a handle on the side of the bathtub to prevent slipping. If the shower curtain was installed, it could be prevented a lot of water from splashing on the ground.
- Richard (9/5): Again a very enjoyable stay in a beautiful chateau in the world greatest wine area - A great breakfast and a beautiful property. Not a proper shower, older folks need to be careful
- Keith (10/5): - Very friendly and helpful staff.
- Gemma (10/5): Beautiful welcoming home in French wine country - The chateau is beautiful, immaculate and so welcoming. Gilles runs a beautiful hotel, the breakfast was fabulous, the pool is lovely and they were happy for us to bring our own wine and some cheese in so we could relax in the evenings. He also booked us a tour of the family’s local winery which was great.
We had a standard double and the parents had a superior room. Our room was gorgeous, well appointed and had everything we needed but the superior room is totally worth the extra if you can stretch to it. Nothing. It was fabulous
- Todd (10/5): Exceptional - The hosts were fabulous, friendly, and responsive. Prior to our arrival, Gilles helped arrange a full, but easily executable itinerary that included dinner and multiple Chateau visits. The room was well appointed, plenty big, and comfortable. Highly recommended. We did not have any issues that required assistance.
- Heather (10/5): Exceptional - Wow! Beautiful house, Gilles was incredible, suggested fabulous places to visit and eat. Nothing too much, we ate in on one evening, he made sure we could prepare wine and food. Excellent
- N (10/5): - Beautiful property managed by so kind and sympathetic host!
- Roberto (10/5): Outstanding stay in Saint Estèphe! - Nothing short from exceptional! Gilles was a fantastic host, very charming. Property is beautiful and room is quite well appointed. There are no restaurants nearby, but we knew that before hand. Gilles e-mailed us a list of restaurants prior to our stay. You can buy wine from the Château on the spot, which is my favorite from Saint Estèphe. Breakfast is simply perfect! Everything was great!
- Pim (10/5): Fantastische prijs kwaliteit - Erg mooie en rustige plek. De kamers zijn ruim en mooi ingericht. Het personeel is ook zeer vriendelijk en hulpzaam. Een absolute aanrader
- LUIS (10/5): - Great Experience. Will be back.
- Karina (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing French chateau with its own on-site winery and possibility to buy wines. Thanks to staying in the propetry we got offered an amazing complimentary experience. The property takes a good care of the overall experience in the region e.g. the notice to reserve a restaurant
- Yoram (9/5): Charming, comfortable place from which to explore the area and wineries. - Lovely property, with loads of old fashioned charm as expected from an older, romantic, small French chateau. Super nice and helpful staff who gladly provided us with plates, silverware, and glasses so we could share our evening picnic and a bottle of wine with a couple of other guests, which we did first on the patio before we moved to the large wooden table in the warm kitchen.
- Kai (10/5): A most pleasant stay! - The experience at Château Ormes de Pez was superb! The staff were very helpful, friendly and professional. The breakfast was excellent and the wines in the cellar gorgeous. The tour at Château Lynch Bages, arranged by Château Ormes de Pez was very special and a very worthwhile added bonus for any wine lover.
Note, this is a small delightful Chateau. If you're looking for big, grandiose and luxurious, look elsewhere. Enjoyed every minute!
- Cheryl (10/5): Exceptional - Gilles was very attentive to details and could anticipate our needs, he was also helpful in providing information about the area. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
- Eduardo (9/5): Superb -
- William (10/5): Exceptional -
- Janet (10/5): Exceptional - Beautiful chateau in Medoc. The host Gil and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful in arranging for a driver when needed and encouraging us to use the cozy kitchen and dining room for evening snacks Breakfast is excellent. The grounds are lovely but we were unable to enjoy them due to rain. We appreciated the complimentary wine tasting and tour at the Chateau Lynch-Bages. We highly recommend this little gem in St. Estephe. The rain which was an inconvenience.
- Janet (10/5): A Gem in St. Estephe - Beautiful chateau in the heart of Medoc. The small staff is extremely friendly and helpful. Gil goes the full mile to arrange a driver when needed and speaks English well. Breakfast was excellent and one is able to use the dining room and small French kitchen for an evening snack. The complimentary wine tasting and tour of the Chateau Lynch-Bages in Pauillac was informative and delightful. We recommend highly. The rain which kept us from enjoying the grounds.
- Carlos (10/5): A wonderful experience. - Very complete breakfast. Wonderful friendly hosts always making sure that all of our needs were met. Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a comfortable, quiet place to stay while visiting the wine country.
- David (10/5): Excellent hospitality and property - Excellent Location and service
- Kathleen (10/5): Our host and accommodations were five star! - Spacious rooms and sleeping quarters on gorgeous grounds. There was nothing to dislike.
- Ronald (10/5): - Lovely old chateau with friendly staff and large comfortable room.
- Jacqueline (10/5): Elegant comfort with a warm friendly atmosphere - Very warm welcome on arrival, with thoughtful explanations to make our stay comfortable. Beautiful decor throughout, lovely grounds to walk around, 2 magnificent magnolia trees.
We went out for dinner to one of Gilles recommendations that had been sent to us prior to arrival. Beautiful.
Excellent breakfast, everything fresh with nice variety.
We visited their other Winery Chateau Lynch Bages which was also excellent.
- Sylvianne (10/5): Exceptional - Ormes de Pez is a small chateau set in a lovely green park. It is quiet and peaceful and one can view the vines in the distance. The staff is very attentive, and the breakfast is generous and delicious. It would have been nice to have a walk-in shower as the tub/hand shower arrangement is precarious for senior citizens.
- Paul (10/5): Loved our stay here - Beautiful property set inits own grounds. Spacious comfortable room nicely furnished and large communal lounge also available. Excellent breakfast. Really friendly hosts who arranged a small group tour of a winery in Pauillac for us. Nothing comes to mind although a ten minutes drive to restaurant f
- Owen (9/5): Superb -
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Wei (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cagatay (9/5): Superb -
- Vincent (10/5): Great place to stay. Perfect. - Everything was perfect. Loved the place. We have to single out Nadege for her welcome and hospitality. An absolute pleasure to deal with. So kind and helpful.
- Antoinette (10/5): A gorgeous place to stay. Best to arrive early afternoon to make the most of the pool and the grounds. We wished we had - The atmosphere and the hosts. Absolutely delightful.
- Igor (10/5): - Amazing hospitality. Warm and welcoming. Stuff is very accommodating. We had a great stay in this beautiful place.
- Claire (10/5): Exceptional -
- Randell (10/5): A wonderful stay, but one night is not enough! - Loved the spaciousness of the room and the property. Swimming pool was most welcome after a hot long day of travel. Staff were very accomodating in booking meals. Friendly check in and check out. Great off street parking. Nothing!
- Niels (9/5): Very comfortable and relaxing option - Friendly helpful host. Terrace and access to pool.
Excellent wine.
- Diana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Shaun (10/5): Exceptional -
- Nadja (9/5): Superb - Very friendly staff. Excellent service and accommodation The rooms aren’t sound proof. But as there are only 5 rooms it wasn’t a big problem.
- Joao (9/5): Superb -
- André (10/5): 5**** - Super top in all aspects: beautiful building and surroundings, kind staff, generous owners and delicious breakfast. Thank you! Nothing.
- Patricia (10/5): A well needed treat. - Gorgeous property and had a great room. Very peaceful and relaxing. Good breakfast . The manager super pleasant. Nothing at all!!
- Mange (10/5): Everything start to finish was exceptional - Amazing Loved it all
- Philipp (10/5): Fantastic place. Very friendly people. All was very good. -
- Stephanie (10/5): will be back :) - all of the above
- Konstantinos (9/5): Superb - The whole experience was really good. The room was spacious and clean. Jeal was very helpful by providing us with information about the area, suggesting restaurants and places for wine tasting. We didn't like the fact that there was no curtain in the bath.
- Nick (9/5): Absolutely perfect - Because there are only 5 rooms available, it really felt like a private stay in a large french home. Gilles was friendly, attendant and happy to meet all requests. We stayed with two other couples who were travelling and visiting the Medoc with us and Les Ormes de Pez could not have been better. What was not to like?!
- Paul (9/5): Wonderful house in the middle of the Medoc. - The room was VERY spacious and had a nice view to the back gardens. Giles, the house manager was lovely, very accommodating. The house has lots of extra rooms to lounge in with reading material and games. There are only 5 rooms in this big house, so very comfortable and quiet. The location is about 20-30 minutes from most of the wine tasting you will do. If Giles is not there, there may not be anyone to answer the door (if you got there early for example). The breakfast was good, not great.
- Elke (10/5): welcoming atmosphere, lovely attentive staff, superb location -
- Stuart (10/5): Wine heaven! - Charming and helpful staff. Wine from the owners many estates (Pez des Ormes, Lynch-Bages, Haut Batailley) is available to buy at prices slightly lower than in shops. Sunny lawn with swallows and one hare. The owners offered a free visit to Lynch-Bages (they do this if space available) the next morning. Since there were not many people staying (only 5 rooms) it felt like we had the Chateau to ourselves! Very few restaurants nearby, and virtually none within walking distance. Even fewer open Sunday/Monday - need to book well in advance. Better to buy a picnic and enjoy on the lawn with a bottle of their Haut Batailley!
- Rsbg (9/5): Superb - Very nice location, especially the garden is fantastic. The host is very friendly and helpful. Overall, definitely a location to stay. Breakfast could be better with more variation. The direct area in Medoc is lacking interesting POI beside the wine chateaus.
- Adriana (10/5): Exceptional - Really nice place. The stay includes a very nice visit to a vineyard for free. We had a great time!!
- Vladislav (10/5): Thank you Gilles for everything you do for us! I been in a lot of places in the world but in Ormes de Pez you make me fe - Everything was amazing! Nothing
- Konstantia (10/5): Exceptional -
- Takafumi (9/5): Superb - Hospitality, breakfast, interior, building, garden, wine, location. TV sound sometimes somehow went out. And temperature of hot water was not sometimes enough.
- Gordon (10/5): Exceptional - Staff was superb, friendly and knowledgeable about the property and area. nothing
- Carla (10/5): Bordeaux, Chateau Ormes de Pez, Oh My! - Gilles made our stay at the Chateau Ormes de Pez, and our first trip into the countryside of France wonderful. He and his staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, but also helping us to enjoy as much of the area as we could. He made dinner reservations, suggested Chateaus to visit, and gave insight into the local culture. We did not stay longer! Bordeaux is a beautiful area of France even when it rains!
- Giancarlo (8/5): Excellent stay, Gilles was the best host!!! - Use of all the facilities. Able to feel like home. Bathtubs, the Chateau needs to upgrade to walk in showers.
