• Cassandre (8/5): Would recommend - The lady who welcomed us was very very nice and gave us good advice about the city. The common area was spacious and cozy. The location is great and allows to take a walk by the loch and is very close to Fort William. The bathroom was a bit old.
• Emmall (8/5): Assez bon rapport qualité / prix - Nous avons été très bien.accieillis par nos hôtes, le bunkhouse est très bien placé juste devant la gare de Corpach. Le bunkhouse est idéal pour les gens de passage qui y restent 1 nuit. Les chambres sont assez exigus et il n'y a pas de place pour le rangement ni les valises.

• Vincent (10/5): The stay was short and sweet but everything we needed was available at good value. - The staff were friendly and helpful. Even with a slightly later arrival time than planned, there was flexibility. She shared a great local hiking recommendation. It was helpful that the cash deposit fee was waived completely. Provision of shower towels would have been a nice thing to include.

• Julie (8/5): Un séjour agréable ! - Le salon / salle à manger est plutôt spacieux et confortable avec une vue sur le lac. La cuisine était plutôt bien équipée. Les environs étaient calmes. Le fait que la salle de bain soit privée. Arrivée flexible. La chambre était un peu petite pour stocker toutes nos affaires.

• Zuzu Petals (8/5): - For my family of three, we were in a four-bed room with a bathroom across it at our disposal, so we had more than enough privacy in comparison to hostels with larger rooms. Thus we were very satisfied as the stay gave us a precious moments of rest after the day of travel. The host was very kind when we called to announce our later arrival due to traffic accident and gave us a relaxed farewell in the morning. I fully recommend this basic stay for families (and other travelers too). Nothing in particular - maybe just a rack for drying the dishes would be practical in the kitchen.

On est juste devant la voie de chemin de fer (rassurez vous, il y a très peu de trains) et on voit passer le train de la Jacobite line ! On peut facilement aller se promener à pieds près des écluses et sur la plage. Le logement est bien, la salle commune est très agréable. C'est un peu spartiate mais c'est une auberge. A savoir seule une petite serviette de toilette est fournie.

• Marieke (5/5): Small hostel, needs some love - This hostel doesn't really feel like a hostel, it's more like a shared house with bunk beds in the bedrooms. There are three bedrooms and two small bathrooms, a large dining table and a small sitting area. What I liked about this place is that the kitchen has plenty of workspace, two cooking tops, plenty of fridge space. There's easily accessible free WiFi. The hostel is right beside the train station, and walking distance from the bus stop. Very convenient if you don't have a car. If you have a car: there's also plenty free parking space! I was rather disappointed about the space in the bedroom, in our room (no. 2) there are two bunk beds and just enough space for our luggage (relatively small bags), but we could barely walk past each other. One of the bunk beds was very wobbly and creaky, I was glad a grown up didn't have to go up there, it doesn't feel safe.. The shower doesn't really look clean, the edges have mold on them. There once was a mirror, evident by the change in paint color on the wall, but this wasn't replaced. One of the couches in the sitting area is broken and besides that is very uncomfortable.

Słaby odpływ pod prysznicami ... Woda stała w brodziku podczas brania prysznica. Może wystarczy tylko go przeczyścić :)

• CAI JIE BRYANT NICOLAS (8/5): - Good value accomodation, but not very suitable for young toddlers given that it's a hostel. Great for couples and solo travellers though!

Store fellesarealer (vi hadde fellesarealet for oss selv). Godt utstyrt kjøkken. Litt slitne møbler. Noe kostbart (men det virker som om det er kostbart i dette området)

• AR2318 (10/5): - The perfect location for our trip to see the Jacobite (Hogwarts Express) at Glenfinnan. We were fortunate enough to have the Bunkhouse to ourselves which meant we didn't have to share the communal areas. Bonus! The host is wonderful and made sure we had everything we needed
• Darren (9/5): If looking for a warm, cosy and convenient place for the night, ready to attack the mountains, this is place is ideal - Nice clean comfortable property that was ideal for our party resting up for the night prior to attempting the 3 Peaks challenge. Plenty of kitchen facilities to prepare breakfast, good dining and seating areas too. Owners weee great and accommodating as we were arriving later than expected. Despite the cool evening the bunkhouse was nice and warm No issues

Hot shower with high pressure. 5 minutes walk from the nearest Co-op and a local pub. Great location, with amazing view of Ben Nevis just outside the doorstep. Close to the train station and can be noisy from time to time, especially the crossing traffic light. No full-size tower and toiletries (we were well informed – I was just expecting them to provide some spare kits just for people who forgot).

Lovely accommodations for our group: the place was clean, beds comfortable, and shared facilities such as the kitchen was well-stocked and working well. Gorgeous location - a short walk to the nearby lake gives you a wonderful view of the sunrise.

Just a little background noise is nice to have, but understand that other people are sharing the Bunkhouse so a valid reason not to have one. . . .+ most have a ipad or similar these days

• Dominique (6/5): - Blacksmiths Bunkhouse è, in sostamza, un ostello. Si trova a ridosso della ferrovia e a 5 minuti di auto dal Caledonian Canal. Noi abbiamo soggiornato in 4 (2adulti+2bambini) in una camera con 2 letti a castello, bagno e cucina in comune. La biancheria era pulita ed l'equipaggiamento della cucina era sufficiente. Abbiamo apprezzato l'accoglienza dello staff (in particolare di Michelle). L'area living si presenta un pò vecchiotta e poco attrezzata rispetto alle altre strutture provate nel corso del viaggio e di pari livello: non dispone di TV né di alcun genere di intrattenimento e non sono previsti first confort food offerti come tè o caffè. Peraltro, la connessione wi fi è stata piuttosto instabile (a tratti inutilizzabile) per tutto il soggiorno. Non abbiamo notato nessuna lavatrice a disposizione per gli ospiti. Per la tariffa che ci è stata applicata (150 GBP x.1 notte), tenuto conto delle esperienze avute in altri alloggi in Scozia, ci saremmo aspettati qualcosa di più.
• Katy (7/5): It suited our needs so we were happy, we were only staying overnight on our way up north. - The location was great, near the canal for a lovely morning walk and north of the city to help us beat the crowds on the road traveling north in the morning. My son is 6'4 so he couldn't fit on the bed because of the frame. The bedroom floor had crumbs of food on and the sofas were very tatty.

• Brugmans (5/5): We zullen deze locatie niet nogmaals boeken. - De locatie Alles is oud, gedateerd en versleten. Zeer gehorig. Elke stap of beweging van de bovenburen is zeer goed hoorbaar. Het hele gebouw is toe aan een grondige renovatie.

• Thomas Günter (8/5): Klasse für einen kurzen Aufenthalt auf der Durchreise. - Tolle Lage direkt am Loch, gleichzeitig aber nicht mitten in Fort William und so etwas ab vom großen touristischen Trubel. Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Das WLAN war leider sehr langsam - für eine Nacht bei uns kein Problem, auf Dauer womöglich schon.
