• Shaun (2/5): Watch out for the blood drops in the bathroom at the Hepatitis Hotel! - Leaving. Rajeesh, the front desk person, was very impolite. The room stank of old cigarette smoke, so I complained. Nope! That's the only non-smoking room they say! The sheets were a bit damp and mildewy, so I slept on top in my clothes. In the morning, I found literal blood spatter droplets on the ceiling if the bathroom!

• Sightseer53857882315 (2/5): No Leaving Before Original Check Out Date - I am use to hotels/motels common practices that you can check out earlier before the check out date. I reserved for 2 weeks but soon realized I needed to relocate to a different location and save a 1 hour daily commute. However, Unlike just about all hotels/motels common practices this Cozy Inn refused to refund my money for the 2nd week. Also, the hotel is old and not very good. The hot water takes 5 to 10 minutes to get hot. Also, I asked 3 days in a row to check out 1 week early and was told the first two times that I would receive an email after the staff checked with the manager. An email never arrived. On the 3rd day I checked at the front desk and they said that they would not refund any money. So, Never stay in this Cozy Inn unless you are desperate.

The TV wasn’t working, I had to call late at night and a guy came to my room and I felt uncomfortable because the way presented himself. Not professional at all. • Nick (5/5): A great bargain if you don't need fancy and can tolerate reasonably clean - It's a good location in a quiet neighborhood (however, the noise from Newport Blvd./55 can get loud). Short distance to some great shopping and restaurants on Harbor Blvd. I like that the "bedspread" is a sheet that can be washed, even though that is not fancy -- I'd rather have that than a cover than is never washed. The price was very good. Had a fridge. AC worked well. I didn't see any bugs. The bathroom was clean, the rest of the room was clean but needed attention in some areas. Like the name says, it is Cozy and has an overall good vibe. Dude at check in was super grumpy (all other staff interactions were great). There is one nightstand between the beds -- it had a janky lamp with a lampshade that looked like it was pulled from the trash (not kidding at all!). There are no electrical or USB outlets by the nightstand, so phone charging must be done across the room. No TV remote, but I didn't watch TV anyway. The paint on the walls is chipped, the arrangement of the beds makes no sense, squeezing the table and chairs between the wall and first bed when both beds could easily be moved a couple feet further into the room. Rusty shower fixture, and the tiniest bar soap you've ever seen. Stingy on towels. The floor under the head of the beds needs some serious attention, there was trash.

• Eddie (4/5): - The guy checking me in was smoking right outside of the office door. When I made it to my room there were cigarette burn holes all over the comforter. The was someone’s dog that barked all early morning, before the sun was up. I left unexpectedly left my keycard in my room and went to the front desk the door was locked. A different guy said, “yeah what”. When told him I locked myself out of my room he just looked at me like I was dumb and I said well are you going to open my door or not. Then he got up and unlocked the door for me. I would not recommend this place to anyone ever!

They kept my $50 deposit because I wiped off their table with their 99 cent hand towel they called it damages, because it was cherry drips ..... you dont know how to do laundry there? He said he wanted to charge me an extra $23 as well. So $73 for a hand towel. That's freaking garbage. The air conditioner was banging all night number 3.....

The first room (#16) we got had holes in the wall, ceiling had holes and was stufffed with tissue paper the ceiling was severely stained and damaged. The shower had dirty water from the previous person that was in there. I asked to go to another room (#8) because we did feel comfortable in it. Their pool also doesn’t work. But after the rooms looking like this and smelling gross I wouldn’t dare step foot in their pool. The reason we chose 8 was because we could see through the windows and it looked like 8 was in better condition. The front desk (Steve) said this is the last he will be accommodating and I said ok. He called the room and asked if it was ok and I said it was but this was 5-10 minutes after being in it. We checked out the bed and the bed was just springs. No cushion and the smell was DISGUSTING. We started a refund process with Expedia and it is still pending as the property manager needs to approve the refund. Please don’t waste your money. Spend an extra $50 and go to the Marriott in Irvine instead. Our stay at the Marriott was beyond amazing.

• Richard (2/5): - The manager tried to have me cancel my Expedia reservation and then rebook with him to save him money. But then the night before the manager called my hotel room and stated that my wife asked him to extend our stay. My wife was with me the entire time and never called not once. When I confronted him he stated he did not have to answer any questions nor explain the phone call. The room was disgusting, floor was thrashed due to water damage, bed sheets had bleach stains on them, bathroom had water damage. Most outlets did not work.

My partner and I left the room practically in the same condition we walked in to, except for one unmade bed. We walked into a damp carpet and wet floors in the bathroom, and poor ventilation while taking a shower, it felt like a sauna. That is the main complaint, the staff was friendly and efficient when checking us in and out.

The pillows snelled even with towels over them. Hsd to kerp head straight up to avoid smell and go to sleep. It was a gandy csp room which i did not order and took a fast shower with a towel on the floor to avoid desease and the drain cover never cleaned flood the floor that didn't dry and water headed into the main room. Slipped on the floor. Worst room i have ever been in. Sticking to Hilton or Quality inn from now on for an economy priced room.

The toilet seat was broken, the duvet had stains all over it, the toilet paper had green stains on it, the bathroom floor was sticky, the refrigerator was leaking water AND had hair inside it of it! When we spoke to the hotel employee they offended us another room. Absolutely not! Why would we want to stay here? Plus Expedia tried NUMEROUS times to contact management for a refund to no avail. They kept dodging the call and emails. So, no I would NEVER recommend this dump! If I could give it negative 100 stars I would!! Do not stay here! Plus we have pictures and video to prove it!

• J7571LSjohns (2/5): Unacceptable room for any stay - I've stayed in this motel three times in the past but this time I could not put up with the fact the room had an inoperable shower. I was checked in Room 6 - which looked like a wheelchair accessible room. The knob to the shower was broken off and there was no way to regulate temperature let alone have to injure yourself to turn on the spigot. The room overall was in disrepair with mold and no ventilation in the bathroom. I alerted the front desk clerk who told me the motel was sold out and I had to put up with this. I said I cannot stay in a room where one cannot take a shower. He apologized but said no refund can be given. I handed in my key and stayed elsewhere. Later, I found they not only wouldn't refund but aimed to keep my security deposit. I find these practices to be shady and if the shower is inoperable, housekeeping should take the room offline. The ethic of this hotel is very questionable. I can put up with a lot, but the motel should have some standards of what an acceptable room should be. Also, they should make appropriate adjustments for problems you encounter. If you like gambling on your motel experience, stay here, otherwise look elsewhere.

• Andrea (2/5): - The room was run down and really unappealing. Walking in the carpet is stained all over, the walls are missing pieces. The bed that was presented felt like there was sand on the top sheet as if someone had already set their shoes on there or luggage? Didn’t use that bed. The TV did NOT work. The bathroom gave us towels that were yellow and clearly heavily used and washed. Wash rags were not provided or a bath towel to place your feet after a shower. The shower knobs were loosely hanging from the wall. The toilet seat was cracked. Room 10. Maintenance and cleanliness is clearly not their priority. I would NEVER stay here again and only stayed because I already had it booked and planned. Unfortunate stay.

We checked in at 3pm on a Thursday, dont try to check in 1hr and 30 min before they will require you to pay a fee to check in. First room ( #10 ) in front of the door the floor is tore up and water that is leaking from the AC is overflowing in a bucket. We go inside and start settling in. The outlets only a few work but your plug falls half out of them. we put or drinks in the fridge only to realize that the fridge wasnt actually cold and water was setting in the freezer part and smelled. went to use the restroom and the toilet seat was broken. Part of the shower head fell of when i went to shower. The shower knobs hot and cold both broken away from the shower wall. The towels had stains and we were missing face towels. No chain lock on the doors...didnt seem very secure we put the table. phone not operating so i called front desk with my cell. other things in the room very worn and broken. We showed all these things to the front desk, he said well the shower works right? We slept in that room one night the next day we asked to be moved. We got moved to room #14. AC worked sorta then didnt a little and room decor same as other...they need to get new lamps and fix everything broken and cracked. we were reserved for three nights, second day are key cards didn't work, front desk said didn't realize you were staying another night. Other issues too but these are enough to point out that we wouldn't stay there again.

• Breezyb888 (2/5): THIS HOTEL SHOUDL BE CONDEMNED - Do not stay here. This is probably one of the most disgusting hotels I've ever been to. They make you sign a paper saying that you will not stain their towels or sheets yet they provide you with ripped and stained towels and sheets. There are holes in the walls, the headboard is chipped, the furniture is chipped, and there are random patches of different color paints. The entry door is disgusting as well as the bathroom door. I asked for a new blanket because the one they provided was ripped in many places as well as stained, and they gave me a new one that had a shoe footprint on it. The carpets were stained, and the shower would not stop leaking no matter how much I tightened the faucet. As I was walking out to let them know that I am checking out after two hours and asking for a refund, a police officer was in the parking lot and asked me if I heard anyone arguing. I said no, but I am checking out and he said it was a good idea that I leave. I asked if this was an unsafe hotel and he said they often get calls there. I wish I would have checked Yelp for reviews beforehand. Lastly, the pool was filtyh, they don't provide washcloths or even a phone in the room. This place needs to be shut down.
