Susan (8/5): Perfect place to visit Thale Noi - This is our 4th trip there. We always take visitors because it is the perfect stopping off place to visit Thale Noi. The pool was nice, restaurant good and everyone friendly and helpful.

The resort is over 2 plots, we were in the older accommodation where dinner was served, the pool and breakfast were in the other location, however bicycles were provided and easy to cycle between the 2. Christopher (3/5): - The staff is simply amazing. I hope they are paid well as they were great (except one, info to follow). Beds are very comfortable. Quite expensive for the state of the resort. It is pretty run down for the cost of a stay. For example, we booked two rooms and ours had a terrible smell and we had to move rooms. I faced no water in the next room (no shower that night after a long day). We learned the next day it was the city that caused the outage, but the night employee simply did not research the problem and said we can move rooms. Not happy!
ROUAT (8/5): - La salle de restaurant sur le lac et son personnel, la dimension des chambres, le calme et le cadre, la piscine, la balade en bateau sur le lac. Les chambres sont sur pilotis, c'est dommage que l'environnement ressemble plutôt à une mare aux canards mal entretenue. Attention, le petit déjeuner et la piscine ne sont pas sur le même site que les chambres. Attention au prix de la balade en bateau sur le lac réservée à l’hôtel, on vous annonce un prix de 100 baths par personne, nous étions 6 et au moment de payer on nous annonce que c’est 1200 baths pour une pirogues privée, que nous n'avions pas spécialement demandé, surtout que l’on ne pouvait pas être plus de 8 à bord, bien lire les documents avant de les signer, mais le problème ils sont en thai !!
Nadine (8/5): Séjour reposant dans un joli cadre. - Le charme de l’hôtel, au bord du lac, avec une très belle piscine. La chambre très grande, confortable. Le restaurant en terrasse avec une cuisine de qualité et des musiciens qui animent le dîner. Les liaisons en tuk-tuk gratuites entre la zone 2 où nous logions et la zone 1 où l’on prenait le breakfast. Manque d’entretien de la mangrove où sont implantés les bungalows. L’éclairage des tables du restaurant est insuffisant : lors des dîners, il est difficile de lire le menu et de voir le contenu exact de son assiette. Une employée de l’accueil était assez austère alors que sa collègue était très avenante et fort sympathique.

We stayed in a Sea View Villa and the room was very comfortable and clean, with a lovely view of the sunset 🌇 Breakfast was good and all the staff were very friendly. Don't expext the regular 5*, but a lovely local gem of thai hospitality - There is a lovely aura about this resort: peaceful, beautifully set, with charming and helpful staff, nicely designed rooms, and a good restaurant. What I liked most, though, was the set of typical southern Thai breakfast - unusual but amazing at the same time mosquitos :)

Food was also great. The hotel could work on the health and safety a bit more especially for young children. There are many unprotected drops, bridge’s edge left wide opened.

Titichayanan (10/5): It's a hidden gem in Thailand for birds lovers. - Wow what a surprise! This hotel blew our minds. It sits amongst the mangroves and rice fields. You hear so many birds throughout the day. The hotel can arrange a private morning wetland tour on a long-tail boat. It's only a 10-min drive to the wetlands. The room was extremely comfortable and clean. The staff were also very helpful.

The Thai restaurant View Yor is absolutely delicious, it’s a long time I didn’t have such a good Tom Ka Gai or Massaman Curry. Don’t miss this place on your travel down South.

Michael (7/5): Ok, but... - Located at the northern end of Songkla Lake and neighbouring a small canal (Khlong), the resort is beside one of the region's must-experience attractions. Working examples of the distinctive Yok Yor fishing nets the lake is famous can be seen in front of the resort. The resort is divided into two distinct sections, some 300 meters apart, which we did not realise when we booked. Our room was in 'Zone 2' while the breakfast/all-day restaurant and resort swimming pool were away in 'Zone 1'. Our over-water room was spacious and very comfortable, with an expansive bathroom, bath, and separate shower. The section (Zone 2) where our room was is built into the lake, with raised walkways connecting and trees and sections of water separating groups of rooms. This can be idyllic. However, staff warned us to always lock up, given the monkeys that inhabit the area and the abundant mosquitos in this watery environment. Zone 2 of the resort boasts an overwater open-air restaurant operating evenings only. It attracts a lot of outside guests, given its menu of southern Thai and seafood-centric dishes and on-water setting. Staff at reception (both zones) and the all-day restaurant in Zone 1 were very friendly and helpful. We found the Zone 2 seafood restaurant staff with limited English skills less-than-friendly. The food we ordered did not inspire us to return even though we stayed three nights. I asked for a glass of red wine and was served a red fruit wine. When I said it was not what I ordered and something I did not want, they refused to remove it from the bill. It seems they only have red wine by the bottle and did not explain this when I initially ordered.

Szu (7/5): Overall, we had a good time and the resort served the purpose for a quiet getaway. - Breakfast was basic and reasonable. The amount of insects in the bathroom in the sea view villa. They should have a better way to keep out the ants, centipedes and millipedes. Luckily there were no snakes or scorpions!
Dave (6/5): Not as good as it was in the past, I probably won’t return…. - The rooms were clean and fairly modern, the veranda opened on to a lovely lake. The shower was also clean and tidy with all the toiletries, shower gel, toothbrush/tooth paste was freely available so don’t worry if you have forgotten yours. The air-con (important) was superb it kept the room cool. The hotel staff were fantastic, friendly and helpful well as much as they could be, more about this in what I didn’t like section….. I rented two rooms one for my wife and myself and the other for our daughter and her family. That equated four adults and a child staying overnight, all good, but when we went to the swimming pool other family members (Thai) not staying in the hotel but our guest neither the less arrived with two children, we were charged 450 baht for the children to swim!! Hotel rules apparently…! The food, we have eaten at the restaurant a few times over the years to be honest I’ve never really like the food but the Thai family did. The staple food is seafood and fish, I ordered roasted pork belly delicious and fried fish again very nice. The Thai family ordered a variety of fish and sea dishes, I didn’t eat any of this but was told this wasn’t fresh, by the morning all family had upset stomachs???

Breakfast is various with thai southern foods and american. They have water pressure problem. Water is not warm at all and toilet is hard to flush

Abigail (10/5): Amazing! - A real gem! Amazing location, v thoughtful touches in the room, friendly and great staff. We only stayed one night but it will be long remembered. Sitting on the balcony overlooking the water and relaxing in the room, it was so restorative. Great dinner in the restaurant too.

Molli (9/5): Pure contentment! For someone who wants true peace, and not entertainment, this place is heaven - I loved my room! Spacious, great lighting, The terrace was so soothing as a place to just sit and watch birds. I loved that there were almost no western tourists. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. Having bikes available was a real bonus. The botanical garden that you can ride to is fabulous. Watch out for over eager monkeys. I would beg them to get better music. They pipe music into the pool and dining area and it is all the same whiny pop songs with every single one of them dropping F bombs. It was so annoying after a while that I stopped going to the pool.

Nataphon (10/5): A unique, boutique hotel in an oasis with awesome staff and amazing food. - Such an amazing and unique experience at this lovely hotel. The staff were superb and were really friendly and welcoming. We paid for transfer to and from the hotel and we’re really glad we did as we probably would have had issues finding the property on our own. The transfer service was great - friendly and welcoming drivers, worth every penny. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, and the restaurant meal was also amazing - really tasty food at the hotel. Richard (9/5): Superb - The view from the room (zone 2, deluxe6) of the local square net fishing apparatus is magnificent especially early morning. The wonderful reception manager Joy could not have been more helpful. The restaurant meals were excellent ...but sadly not the whole story....see below. The young restaurant waitresses were disinterested to the point of being rude e.g one meal was 'overlooked' ... the manager said they didn't know whose it was (!!)... and when it did come it was dumped on the table without any acknowledgement or apology. Unfortunately the other meal had already been finished. *
Vik (9/5): One of the best resort in Patthalong - Clean room, nice resort, good water pressure, this area is peaceful and out of city. Food are ok and bicycles are free to use. Staff are great and helpful. Air conditioning also good. In the evening there are lot of mosquito so just beware. It would be good if more outdoor fans installed due to the warm climate. Overall ok. Price can be lower during non peak season so just prebook earlier for better price
