- nicki (1/5): Very distasteful business practice. Especially when it was a busy time and I know our room was given away - Location had its perks I made a mistake (easily done) by double booking. A room. Exact same room for same dates. Booking.com asked them to verify that it was a double booking so that I could get our money back. They refused I’m sure you can understand this was very upsetting. Especially when paying over $800/ night. Would not even entertain the idea I am a business owner. Such poor practice. I travel a lot and so does my family Will not be booking through booking.com or Hyatt again!!

- Zoe (2/5): Far Below Standards – Would Not Recommend - I was very disappointed with my stay at this hotel and would not recommend it. The toilet in my room did not flush properly the entire time, and I had to pour water into it manually just to use it. I even left a note for housekeeping, but nothing was done. The bathroom sliding door was also unsafe—it was off its track and swung freely, making it a hazard. I fully understood that access to the room was needed for an internet upgrade. However, it is not acceptable that this happened twice in two days, both times in the evening after I had already been out of the room all day. On both occasions, my “Do Not Disturb” sign was ignored. On the second day, I was even told, “We thought maybe you did not mean to put it on the door.” This is a clear disregard for guest privacy. I raised these issues with management, but the response I received was dismissive and inaccurate. My concerns about the broken toilet and unsafe door were ignored, and the explanation for ignoring the “Do Not Disturb” sign was unprofessional. Between the maintenance problems, safety hazards, disregard for privacy, and poor handling of my complaint, this stay fell far below the basic standards guests should be able to expect.

Reasonable parking on site. Beautifully appointed rooms. Quiet, clean, and comfortable. Will stay again! Way overpriced snacks in lobby, not a huge variety for breakfast, but tasty.

- Pmkkr (2/5): Hitlon Disappoints Again - First of all we are Hilton Honors members. Booked the reservation and knew there was ability to cancel. Unfortunately we didnt realize it was a 1 month cancellation policy. Who ever heard of such a thing. Majority of hotels offer 24-48 hours. Contacted Hilton to see if they could assist and they said it was up to the hotel and the hotel refused to allow us to cancel even though we were almost a month prior to the reservation. Hotel very basic and the information that there is "dining option" is an overstatement. Never saw such a sad excuse for a bar with food. Would not recommend.

The hotel is very well located in the business area. Rupp Arena is about 4 blocks, easy walk. The bar is well stocked. The coffee is really good. A little pricey, but worth it. The Hilton, across from Rupp Arena, was usually $200+ more. I recommend this hotel for your stay.
- Sunshine30469221900 (10/5): Hidden Gem in Lexington - We loved this hotel. The room was very clean, quiet, and spacious. The hotel layout was not the usual cookie-cutter design which was nice. Although not advertised, breakfast was included and complementary. Parking was advertised at $8 per night but with taxes and fees added on expect to pay over $9. It was also convenient to many restaurants and bars and only a short 5 minute or so walk to the Rupp Arena. When visiting Lexington downtown area again we will surely stay at the Sire hotel again.

Very clean and the entire facility smelled clean as well. Very beautiful place. The price for a one night stay is a little steap. Beautiful, but I would think there would have been at least a seat for the shower since I requested handicapped access. Or a large tub with jets for almost $300 for one night.

- ulysses68 (4/5): Not a good guest experience - I normally do not write bad reviews but had to in this case. My husband and I were so disappointed with this hotel. Beautiful old building close to downtown and historic district. But, when we walked through the door, there was an overwhelming smell of a dirty restroom. It was so strong that I thought there must have been an accident that they recently cleaned. Nope. The smell remained for our entire 2-day stay. Thankfully, we could not smell it in our terribly ridiculously located first-floor room - adjacent to the toilets AND across from the hotel bar/restaurant. We asked to change rooms but were told that guests who extended their stay got 'our' room. But, as Diamond Members (Hilton) - as we were informed - we were able to have a credit at the snack bar. Seriously? The hotel staff were not professional. They were inappropriately dressed in very casual clothing (sweatpants and sweatshirts) and sat behind the front desk on their iPhones. They couldn't even be bothered to greet us as we walked in or out of the hotel lobby. Not a good guest experience. Breakfast was late, coffee at breakfast was cold, and music was blasting in the hallways at 6am. They also charged for parking. I would NEVER stay here again. Reviews said it was in a more convenient location than the Hilton Downtown. But, when exploring on foot, they are only a few blocks away from each other. So, my advice - stay at the Hilton Downtown (particularly if you are a Hilton Honors member and want to stay at a Hilton property).

- Deborah (9/5): A boutique style hotel with attentive staff in a great location! - Excellent attentive staff. Very comfy rooms. Bathroom is large, lovely shower, outstanding toiletries. The bar is open limited hours, but is great! Leah was a wonderful bartender and she and the other staff were so accommodating. rooms had comfy robes and huge TV. Breakfast offered extensive options and long hours (6:30-10:30). Good quality, healthy products for breakfast, as well as biscuits and gravy! We had a very early flight when we left, and the staff prepared coffee for us at 5 am! The location is excellent! In the historic district, close to lots of restaurants and a great location for neighborhood walks or runs. Finally, the fitness room is very suitable for basic workout-- tower, bench, free weights, mats, treadmill, peleton, recumbent bike and elliptical. Would definitely stay here again. The room is not huge and there's only one chair, but the bed is very comfortable.

- Carrie (8/5): - I stayed here for 2 nights on business. I love the fireplace going out front. They had to be the most comfortable hotel beds and pillows I've had in a long time. Very clean feeling. The bar was nice - would prefer lower lighting. Breakfast was excellent. (And free). The whole area had a Dickens feeling at night. I ate at Carsons nearby which was excellent. I have a continued complaint IN EVERY HOTEL of overall inadequate lighting in the room and bathroom. Made getting ready difficult. Would stay again though.

- Juliana (6/5): - Average rating. The room was not very clean. There were fingerprints on the inside of the door to the room. The carpeting in the hallway had quite a few stains. The bedding had a very strong chemical/fragrance smell. It was so strong it was difficult to sleep.

- Leslie (10/5): Great stay. - Location and parking convenience. Breakfast and happy hour nice touch. Tv remote wasn’t in room and staff replaced…but no battery. Had to go fiend to front desk 2 times…but staff very helpful. Also toilet flusher got stuck, but service was fine very promptly. Just a little inconvenient.
- Stefan (10/5): - Great hotel in the heart of the historic district in Downtown Lexington. This older building has been nicely refurbished, the rooms are tasteful, comfortable and quiet. Bathrobes are included. The breakfast is just okay and it would be nice if there were more healthy choices. The downtown and historic district is close by and is comfortably walkable.

- Karen (10/5): Exceptional - The location is walking distance to downtown attractions. The facility was spotless and beautiful. The bar area is a great amenity and stayed open late. It was a fun gathering area. The beds were very comfortable and the shower was absolutely the best!!
- ImaBlueman (10/5): great place to stay if you want to be downtown - If you want to stay in Historic Lexington, I recommend the Sire. If you are not familiar with Downtown Lexington (which we were not), it is filled with corporate headquarters, large businesses and hotels. To support this there are many restaurants and bars, but basically no type of stores or shops. As you could imagine the streets are busy and challenging parking. The Sire is located about 2 blocks from the main strip and has very secure private parking at $8 per day. Knowing our car is safe is important to me, and there is no reason to drive as many bars and restaurants are easy walking distance, The Hotel is very nice, clean and safe. While the web contradicts itself, morning breakfast is included at no charge and is more than adequate to start the day with. The staff were all super friendly and helpful Being from out of state, we found overall Kentucky to be a very friendly state!

- Glen (6/5): - When we arrived we were confronted by a homeless person which was our first impression. Our room had a noisy air conditioner so we were relocated to another room which was much smaller. The staff was helpful but did nothing to make up for the inconvenience.
- geneferh2024 (8/5): Nice - The hotel is centrally located to shopping , entertainment and restaurants. Easy walking distance to everything. The hotel Itself is very nice. Clean and quiet. The hotel breakfast was decent also. Lots of different choices There is a bar at night.
- Robert (3/5): Lost my trust in the Hilton name. - Location worked well for us. Had to pull information out of check in desk. Not very customer friendly or conversant. Some earlier guest in our room had spilled food (a lot of it) between night stand and bed. Not sure how old that was. NO TUB! Wife only takes baths. Breakfast started with tepid coffee in both available urns. Breakfast offerings were very weak for a $200/night Hilton, well below other Hiltons we have stayed at.

- Elizabeth (10/5): Highly recommend. - This is a very old building that has been remade. The room was very spacious and comfortable. It is also within walking distance of so many restaurants.

- Jacqueline (2/5): DRAMA! - From about 8:00 pm until 10:10pm constant banging, jumping, running noises from room above. Called front desk several times. It kept getting worse. I asked the front desk clerk Joe to come to my room so he could hear the noise. He would not. He said he needed to talk to his manager. I asked him to call me back. He said is Manager was not at the hotel. He said she told him to stand outside the room upstairs (3rd floor) instead. The overhead noise continued. When I called the front desk there was no answer. I had to put my clothes back on and walk down to the lobby and make a 5th complaint. I asked did the manager talk to the people in room 307. He said no. His manager told him to stand outside. I said standing outside the door is not a true indicator. Each time you call them it gets worse. They are purposely running back and forth and jumping around. I told him this is a high end chain. I said I am paying over $200 a night. I said I came for a peaceful stay. I said the people 307 don't have the right to disturb others. Basically, after the 6th time calling. He finally came to my room. There was one small stomp but nothing more. He stayed about 3-4 minutes. I said I hope they have stopped but I doubt it. I feel they will start up again in the morning. And they did!
- Verified traveler (10/5): Lexington Opera House - Convenient to walk to our downtown event. Bed and linens were wonderful! Enjoyed the spa shower. Staff was friendly and breakfast was appreciated! Clean!
- macallan (6/5): Sire Hotel Lexington - Location is wonderful. First room I was given, rm 320 had huge rattling noise from ac in room. As I am here for almost 2 weeks I requested a change. Moved to room 302. Room clean. Bed is tired with sides of bed collapsing and very center of bed a wall or mountain. Requested in writing to front desk/housekeeping to change or rotate mattress. That has not occurred or it has and the solution did not fix the problem. Room has one chair, small table, king bed with bed tables on either side. Might be cramped for 2 unless one is always in the bed. Lighting is yellow energy saving. Enough outlets built into clock or dresser but one available wall outlet in room and then two in bathroom. Room spotless, service everyday. Hot water in shower. Breakfast adequate:eggs, bacon or sausage, bagels, toast, oatmeal (add water but again water lukewarm) milk, juice, packaged cake or muffin. Coffee and tea service just warm. I noticed refrigerated surface for cold things warms considerably later in the am. I agree the staff sit behind a large monitor in front room. It is disconcerting as they do not rise to greet you or invite you to sit down. They do not acknowledge you as you walk in. You cannot see them. The woman who checked me in was wonderful, but she sat behind the monitor quite low as I stood. She graciously changed my room when I called down to say I thought her ac was working very hard and rattling, and brought me the key. Depending on who is at the front desk the phone is answered if you have a question, such as laundry services. Cleaning staff very pleasant. One wants to love this place. The ac has been consistently mentioned in reviews as has staff tucked behind monitor. Beds need to be updated. Room is otherwise quiet-depending on the room, great location, breakfast food basic, go early. In evenings has bar with bar food which is pleasant. Le Deauville next door good for dinner. Lunch is more difficult to find in immediate area, there is a sandwich place and Doodles Breakfast and Lunch. If bed was comfortable it could be a great stay in room 302. If they really took past reviews to heart the Sire would be 5 star.
