Common areas immaculate and they are very helpful in local recommendations. Very good location for the main Osaka tourist spots and walking distance from all the best bars and clubs.

- Morgan (10/5): Good vibes for traveling musicians. - The weekly jam session absolutely made my night. Felt so fun to play an instrument after a few weeks away from mine. Kaz and his father put a lot of work in to make you feel welcome and I highly recommend a stay here. Don’t really have much to complain about. I stayed in a private room which measured about the same size as most Japanese hotel rooms (if you are an American it will feel very compact lol).

They were so nice and welcoming, would definitely stop by again next time I’m in Osaka. We jammed so much, great for musicians. The accommodations were excellent too, very comfortable and easy to navigate. I liked having a dedicated bathroom/shower area.

- Urszula (6/5): - It is very clean and well located. Showers are on the other flor than rooms so you have to take elevators or stairs. Tehey chage additional if you check in come after 21.00 and if you check out 30 min later they charge as well. You have to pay deposit.
- yonah (3/5): - Sorry i can't give this more. Location is great. The owners are just to greedy. If you arrive before check in time, you can leave the luggae for fee of 800yen(a mail was sent few days earlier, but who honestly starts following mails when they're traveling. If the were honest, they would write it on main page) You need to keep a deposit of 10,000 yen(cash or credit), which makes you feel like they can take part of it for whatever reason they'd like(for example 1000yen for dirty sheets, which they are going to wash anyways). On top they have security cameras everywhere and they take a picture of you when you check in so the camera will recognize you and won't call the police, just makes the stay uncomfortable, and the few people that were willing to socialize said the same. From my personal experience the hostel wasn't social at all, i was most of the time alone in to common area. Might be bad luck or just all of the reasons above ruined the vibe for everyone. Honestly, won't stay here again and won't recommend to my friends.

Check in hours are quite early and there's no flexibility towards guests. Requests for date changes are unacceptable so very low on customer centricity. There are better places where to get value for your money.

- Juan-Peter (10/5): The best Hostel in Japan! - I stayed at a few hostels during my touring in Japan, and I can say with confidence everything at this hostel exceeded my expectations! It felt like one big family. And a big bonus was the jazz session I could sit and listen into and meet people through some awesome music. Great location as well! Friendly staff. Just all around very awesome time with very awesome people. In a safe fun environment with a comfortable and very clean stay. There are also facilities to wash clothes and dry them. With lockers for more valuable items if needed. Thank you Kaz for everything you did to make my stay memorable! I can not think of anything I didn't like.
- Kevin (4/5): The excessive surveillance (FACE RECOGNITION!) leaves a bitter aftertaste at an otherwise solid hostel. - If you don’t mind the installed FACE RECOGNITION system and the rather strict house rules, this is a good hostel. It’s centrally located, the staff are friendly, and the facilities are clean and well maintained. The entire building operates with a FACE RECOGNITION system. During check-in, guests are photographed, and a deposit is charged immediately. If you don’t check out by 10:29 a.m., an additional fee is automatically applied. It’s also important to know that the checkout process can take up to 30 minutes, as the staff personally inspect each room before approval. In practice, this means you need to check out at least half an hour earlier to avoid being charged. I’ve travelled extensively within and outside Japan, but I’ve never experienced such a high level of monitoring. I wouldn’t book here again.
- Cheuk Man (10/5): ありがとうございます！個人的によく気になっていたカプセルのセキュリティ、清潔さ、音など、全て問題なし、落ち着いてゆっくり過ごせました。 - 正直30代になってから一回もカプセルホテルに泊まっていなくて、今回は万博終盤と中国の連休の時期が重ねて、大阪市内のホテルが全てとんでもなく高かったのでこちらを利用させていただきましたが、想像より良くて、セキュリティや清潔感はもちろん、スタッフさんの対応も良かったしやソーシャルスペースやランドリーも使いやすく、大変お世話になりました。シャワールームに女性限定のエリアまで提供されて安心して使えて感謝です。 なし
- Elizabeth (10/5): - This is one of those places that has all of the extra touches that make a stay very comfortable. I really appreciate there not only being shampoo but also conditioner for the shower, the shower room had lock boxes to put your valuables in to keep them safe and dry. It was also the quietest hostel I have ever stayed in, making for a great nights sleep.

- Rachael (9/5): Fun and thoughtful hostel - I love that they have instruments you can pick up and use (until 10pm then you have to be quiet). Met some people through that socially. I love the dorm room layout. They were thoughtfully designed with a kitchenette in the dorm (microwave, fridge, freezer, sink and bins), a changing area (wee curtain and mirror so you can stand up instead of fighting for your life getting on a pair of trousers in a bunk), a separate seating area where I could do my makeup in the morning and also did journaling in the evening there. Women also have a separate bathroom downstairs in the shower room! It has two showers, hairdryers, straighteners, and bits and bobs like cotton buds. You have to pay ¥800 to store your bags pre check in / out Silence everywhere after 10pm The jam only happens officially on a Saturday so you could stay all week and miss out on the jam session like I did :( The WiFi isn’t the strongest in the dorms

- Sean (10/5): Best Hostel in Osaka! - Kaz was a super friendly and welcoming host, and his communication before/during the stay was fantastic! He spoke perfect English, was happy to socialize, and full of excellent recommendations. The hostel was easy to find, had warm and inviting common areas, and nice clean facilities. I appreciated the smooth jazz in the lounge, and relaxing piano in the shower area. The bunk bed capsules were comfortable and I slept well with the provided ear plugs. I highly recommend Feel Osaka Yu, 10/10 would stay here again! The ladder for the upper bunk bed was a little awkward to use. I actually found it kinda fun, but you might want to avoid the upper bunk if you're not very flexible.

- Delfina (7/5): It is a nice hostel but I’m not sure it is worth the price. - People there were really friendly and helpful. Everything was pretty clean. Location is very good. During the afternoon they make jam sessions and that is super fun to watch. They have some requirements that are pretty annoying for someone travelling. No breakfast option. They don’t vacuum floors daily. And a very important thing: you can’t turn off your light without turning off the plug also so that is super uncomfortable for someone that’s a tourist.

Excellemment bien placé dans le quartier de America Mura et très proche de Doronbori à pieds ainsi que des transports en commun. - Kieran (10/5): Exceptional - This hostel was incredible you have to stay here if coming to Osaka it's the perfect escape from the busy city the musical theme is so real and enjoyable. Relax in the lobby and welcome some great socialising. Osaka is a maze of lanes and streets, it is easy to walk out the door and get lost but the hostel being on the corner means you can spot it more easily.

- Moritz (10/5): Exceptional - One of the Best Hostels I’ve Ever Stayed At – A Hidden Gem in Osaka I can’t recommend this hostel enough – it’s easily one of the best I’ve ever stayed at. The sleeping arrangement is perfect: you get your own capsule-style bed in a shared dorm, which gives you privacy and quiet even though you're sharing the room with others. I honestly didn’t hear a sound at night, which made for some great nights of sleep! The cleanliness of the entire place is top-notch. Everything—from the dorms to the bathrooms and common areas—is spotless and well-maintained. But the real highlight of this hostel is the common room. It’s not just a place to hang out—it's a creative space filled with musical instruments. Guests are welcome to play, and the hostel even organizes jam sessions, which are such a fun and unique way to connect with other travelers. What made it even more special was that the owner, Kazu, and his father joined in the music-making. It created such a warm, communal vibe. Kazu himself is an incredible host—super friendly, helpful, and always up for a chat. He’ll help you with anything you need and has great recommendations for local restaurants that are just a short walk away. If you're visiting Osaka and looking for a place that combines comfort, cleanliness, and community, this is the hostel to book. I’ll definitely be coming back next time I’m in town
- Lisa (5/5): Privicy issues , never again - It was so quiet . I slept better than I thought I would I want to alert potential guests about a privacy concern at this hostel. The entrance has temperature-measuring cameras that operate without any prior notice, such as signs or explanations, potentially collecting sensitive data like temperature readings or images. As someone who values privacy, I felt violated by this lack of transparency, which may not comply with Japan’s Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). I requested that the cameras be turned off when I enter, but the hostel refused, citing security reasons, and offered no alternatives like manual temperature checks. Not everyone may see this data collection as an issue, but I believe guests deserve to know about the lack of notice so they can decide for themselves. If privacy matters to you, I recommend asking the hostel about their camera policies and how they handle personal data before booking.

Convenient location, clean space and complete facilities. It would be even better if complimentary luggage storage is available on the day of check-in & check out. I also wished the drinking water dispenser is available 24/7.

- Lara (10/5): Grateful to have found Feel Osaka Yu and its people! - Kazu (son), Kaz (father), and Yoko were all warm and welcoming, and lovely to talk with and get to know. They’ve established a nice place for rest, refuge, creativity and community. Their recommendations led me to some places I wouldn’t have seen otherwise known about e.g. GLION Car Museum and Nakanoshima Rose Garden and therefore changed the course of my trip all for the better. It is conveniently located and yet on a quiet side street—I did a ton of exploring on foot and by the nearby subway. So glad I found this place and its excellent people. Capsule hotels aren’t for everyone, but I thoroughly enjoyed Feel Osaka Yu as my Osaka home, and I slept very well there. 😴. ありがとうございます

- Amelia (3/5): Good location.. thats all - The location was amazing. The bathroom also had good hair dryers as well as paid washing/drying machines for clothing which was convenient. The gentleman who ran the hostel was very polite. The shared female dorm I was in was very small and crammed (the most impractical layout that I've had so far) obviously small is expected in hostels however this was definitely not as spacious as in the photos. There were also lots of strange rules/extra costs that may incur. For example if wanting to throw out rubbish (such as a shoe box) it is 500 yen to recieve a plastic bag for this purpose (as opposed to just taking the rubbish). You also can not use the lounge/any amenities after checkout so if waiting a couple of hours for whatever reason you are required to pay extra for use. You are allowed 1 "free towel" every 24hrs and must pay for an extra, the towels are very small and thin which wasn't ideal and also no single use bathmats only one that remains at the shower door for everyone's use which felt quite unhygienic. I also found the owner was behaving quite oddly in a situation where I woke up to him trying to wake another guest in the female dorm from the outside of her bunk at about 7-8am (respectfully which I appreciate instead of opening the curtain). I'm not sure the details of the situation but he asked the guest to meet him downstairs to talk about something (I assume there was a problem) this was reasonable however after this he stayed in the room and waited until she walked down with him. I would have felt very uncomfortable if this had happened to me as I wouldn't want a male staff member standing at the foot of my bed area waiting for me to get up whilst dressed in my pajamas.
- Nahian (10/5): My second time here; Outstanding as always - Kaz and his father are exceptional hosts as always; happy to help with any queries or suggestions. Helped me book an appointment at a hair salon as well as getting us a table at a local place. Location is great for shopping and the metro is close enough to get to anywhere else you need to.

- Christel (7/5): Nice hostel, terrible staff - Hostel is clean, relatively quiet and at a very good location. Staff isn’t very friendly and feel like they are always right. The hostel has a lot of rules, which is fine, but I felt like they didn’t have these rules so they had a leg to stand on to kick someone out if they go to far (which is good) but more to be controlling (which is not fine). I made a mistake with where to leave my towel to get it changed, my mistake, but I suggested they’d explain during checkin as I found the instructions in the elevator or confusing. They continued (many times) that I am the only problem they ever had and that the customer is the problem. They didn’t even know where extra towels were and had to call the cleaners?
- Aud (10/5): - Pleasant dorms with nice amenities. Located in an art district with many nice cafes within walking distance. The common area is very nice, and so is the management. They have a security camera on the entrance and digital key fobs so it’s secure and convenient. Would definitely stay here again.
- Stephanie (9/5): Superb - The facilities were clean and staff were friendly. I enjoyed staying here. The capsule-like rooms did run a bit hot (not the actual large room itself). They have universal outlets in them, so I would suggest bringing a small plug-in fan to help.
