Guest Reviews
- Freedom28511822186 (10/5): Incredible staff, magical views, beautiful accommodation - I cannot express how wonderful all the staff at Caroline’s are. Nothing was a problem for them, the true definition of service with a smile. I don’t think I’ve ever been anywhere so accommodating.
- 538nat_liav (10/5): A Beautiful Escape at Palau Carolines Resort - My stay at Palau Carolines Resort was nothing short of unforgettable. Perched on the hillside with breathtaking views of the ocean and Rock Islands, the resort offers an atmosphere of complete tranquility. Each bungalow feels private, peaceful, and perfectly integrated with nature, creating a sense of tropical serenity from the moment you arrive.
- ov2010 (10/5): Beautiful resort on a hill in full nature, amazing views and good service - Lovely experience in this beautiful resort located on a top hill (a place with history). We stayed in the luxury tent, the resort also upgraded the bungalow initially planed for our kids to another tent. Nice amenities, amazing view including sunrise, feeling like living a a botanical garden. With the exception of some plastic based items included among amenitis of the room and the low quality of the breakfast delivered on the terrase in front of our Windows (it was a pity to get sheets made of poliester on the beds, instead of any kind of natural fibers if not only basic cotton, also felt strange to enjoy some sparling wine in a plastic glass, in such beautiful environment), everything was high class, exceptionally service - the staff îs very kind and helpful, trying to come in advance to your needs, organising and planning shuttle to dinner venue or coordinating other issues. Overall a pleasant impression, would love to return someday, hopefully in the meantime they improve breakfast style/items and decide on going more on nature based products while avoiding plastic as much as possible. For those interested in history, there are still visinle the machine guns and projectiles used by the Japanese soldiers during the WW2, as well some tunners under the hill.
- mochiya_tw (10/5): Quiet, clean, comvortable bungalow - We stayed here over other established hotels because we wanted a more private experience. Carolines Resort exceeded our expectations in every way. Especially Esther at the front desk. She was extremely responsive and friendly. I would highly recommend anyone visiting Palau to stay here.
- Wendy (10/5): - The property, bungalow and view were all gorgeous and even better than the pictures showed. The breakfasts were delicious, and delivered to your door at your preferred time. Staff were so friendly, kind and helpful. Parking is at the base of a steep hill, but staff are available to transport you and luggage up to your bungalow. Would definitely stay here again. Perfection!
- Verified traveler (8/5): Some tips - The property is pleasant but outside of town and requires ground transportation to reach town. (There are a few convenience stores within a 20 minute walk.) Although the facility provides adequate breakfast delivered to your room (there is no restaurant), you must otherwise travel into town to eat or find a place that might deliver for a fee. The online checkin email that the hotel sends in advance doesn't really work since you have to fill out the same information again when you arrive.
The staff are nice and everything in the room was operational i e. A/C, Internet, cable TV, coffee machine, etc.
- Travel602353 (10/5): Rose is the BEST as is the luxury tents!!! - We stayed in the luxury tent and I'm telling you, this is the BEST experience high in the jungle of palau overlooking the ocean. The best sunset views. Full breakfast served on the deck. An outside shower that overlooks all the beauty. Most comfortable bed and bedding. I didn't want to leave. EVER!!! Thank you Rose!!! You ARE THE BEST!!!!
- John (10/5): - We stayed in a tent and it was wonderful. Beautiful, spacious, with a large deck and view. Transportation service made the remote location a non-issue. Breakfast service on the deck was a treat. All of the staff were very attentive and helpful.
- 260antjef (10/5): die perfekte Unterkunft, wir sind im Paradies gelandet - Dear Caroline's team, we are infinitely grateful that we were able to spend our stay with you. We lacked nothing. The organization was perfect. Your friendliness is unsurpassable. Thank you to the ladies at the reception, the kitchen, the caretaker and the shuttle service. We can recommend you 200%. Be proud of your paradise in Palau Micronesia.
- Saeka (10/5): - スタッフも暖かく、朝食も美味しかった…!
何より、眺望が最高。贅沢なラグジュアリーなホテルじゃなくて、こういうバンガロー、いいよね。またパラオ来たら絶対ここにする。
- roxrich (10/5): wow!! Palau Carolines secret jungle bungalows! - wow beautiful Palau secret!! the service is amazing, views are pristine beaches, breakfast on porch EVERY MORNING... I was celebrating my birthday and the staff left me flowers, a big note on the door and special bed decor!! we got help booking tours, etc...A++++!!
- Jaybee13 (10/5): Boutique hidaway with best view of Rock Islands - What a gem! We stayed in one of the two luxury tents with the most amazing view over the Rock Islands which we enjoyed every morning as the breakfast was served on our private terrace. The tents are very spacious and equipped with all amenities we could have possibly asked for. Fan, A/C, high quality coffee machine, minibar, radio, USB ports and deck chairs. Very comfy beds.
Staff super friendly and helpful. The resort has a shutle that you can book for transfers to/from restaurants at night at very reasonable price (same as a taxi). Would definitely stay here again during our next trip.
- Thomas (10/5): - Nice 3 night stay after our livaboard.
Location is a little bit outside in the jungle but the offer bring an pick up service to restaurants and koror

- William (10/5): One of my favorite rooms of all time - This property will be one of my favorite properties for a number of reasons. When you leave the airport and see the van, they have to pick you up. You know you've picked the right hotel. The van is clean and spacious with beautiful Graphics on the side, so you already feel like a VIP walking out of the airport.
The front desk staff is very accommodating and able to answer any of your questions, set up reservations at partner, restaurants, and arrange transportation in and out of the town.
The room that we stayed in was the tent room, and we absolutely loved it. The best part was that there was not a television inside, but an old-time radio that we listened to whenever we were in our room. The room is beautifully done, and the views in every direction are amazing. Hopefully, you'll be lucky enough to catch a sunrise, sunset, and a rainbow while you're there from your balcony. I can't say enough good things about this property and their team.
- joemccarthysghost (10/5): Love This Place - Our flight was delayed by two days because of the typhoon but Carolines Resort made our short time here very special. The cabin/ hit was beautiful and well equipped. Breakfast was delicious and bountiful. Incredible service from kind, friendly staff. We haven’t even checked out yet and we already want to come back.
- Shannon (8/5): - Quiet bungalows on the hill
Little bit of a hike to get to the bungalows, which can be trying after a day hiking in the jungle. But the views are great staff is amazing and the bungalows are nice. Breakfast Is delivered every day and it’s kind of necessary because it’s quite a walk to your car. Would stay here again
- Olguita (10/5): - The people there is very nice and kind
- Will (10/5): - Overall, would say this place is one of the top stays in Palau. It’s a unique boutique hotel with cute individual bungalows that have spectacular views of the ocean and jungle. Super comfy beds, have great AC and good free breakfast. The staff is also amazing (Anne and Zaldy were awesome).
Only downside is that it’s not walkable to anything and the hotel charges for all van rides. On top of that there (currently) isnt a restaurant on site so nothing to really do at the hotel itself. They do have super cute dogs on site though :)
Overall would definitely recommend over the competition.
- JMFeld (10/5): Beautiful bungalows with stunning views and excellent staff!! - Beautiful room with great beds, linens, a/c. Stunning view and balcony. Extremely helpful staff. Clean and just as pictured online with nice breakfast out on the balcony. It's a short drive into town but definitely worth it to stay here. There's a small "lobby" building but not much of a communal area. This is not a problem at all but just know that it feels more like a bungalow rental than a hotel. We loved it and would definitely recommend!
- Honey-Bee12345678910 (10/5): Amazing stay at Carolines Resort Palau - What a fantastic stay at Carolines Resort Palau!
I truly recommend staying at Carolines in Palau - the staff is very nice - treated me like family and tried everything to make me happy as their guest!
The bungalows are cute, the bed is cozy and the view fantastic. Breakfast is directly served in to your room at your preferred time.
Hope to visit Carolines again!
- SallyB1642 (10/5): Palau’s Best Boutique Hotel - This is the third time I have been fortunate to stay in one of the only 8 in total, hand-crafted charming bungalows of the Carolines Hotel in Palau. I can’t praise this beautiful boutique hotel enough! From the minute you arrive you are treated with excellent service. You fill out your breakfast request the night before, write the time on the order when you would like to have your breakfast, and then just like magic, a golf cart is driven up the hill to your cottage and breakfast is delivered. Each cottage has a small balcony overlooking the gorgeous Rock Islands and your breakfast tray is put on the balcony’s wooden table. I have never been happier in any other hotel than when enjoying breakfast in this gorgeous setting.
The room rate is very reasonable for the amenities that are offered by the kind people at the Carolines Hotel. To be a guest there means you are one fortunate person.
- Ditte Rieland (8/5): - Carolines Resort is incredible! Beautiful view from all the bungalows and the service is very good as well.
- 753maximeh (10/5): Serene and beautiful hotel. Super friendly staf! - The view is amazing! Having breakfast on the balcony in the nature is serene and a great start of the day. The hotel staf was very helpful. Before we even arrived they helped us by booking our trips for us. They also helped by driving us to town and picking us up whenever we wanted. Amazing stay overal!
- ethanrO9865EC (10/5): Beautiful place to stay in Palau - My friends and I stayed at the Palau Carolines resort for a week. The views from our bungalow were unbeatable and we enjoyed the space and privacy it afforded us. We received great service during our stay, with plenty of recommendations and daily breakfast. While this resort is somewhat outside of town, we rented a car and we could easily get anywhere we needed to go within minutes. There isn't too much downtown anyway even if we could have walked, so we preferred to have the views and quiet. I would highly recommend this resort to folks traveling to Palau.
- 514simonb (10/5): 5 stars for Caroline’s! - The service and care shown by these people is extraordinary to say the least. The cabins are beautiful and the views to die for. Transported to the restaurants in the area whenever we need to go, and pick ups and drop offs to the airport as well. I was really impressed with their customer service and attention to our needs. I will always choose to stay here when I’m in Palau. Perfect.
- tayloranne541 (8/5): Great view and exceptional hospitality - Carolines resort is a wonderfully quiet place to stay in Koror, Palau. Breakfast on the balcony is a real treat with a magnificent view. The bed is SO comfortable. The staff is all very friendly and helpful. Overall a really nice place to stay. On the positive, it is very isolated and quiet, but this is also a bit of a downside in that you have to either have a car or take their shuttle to get anywhere for dinner. We heard there are plans to greatly expand the resort which will take away much of the charm which is unfortunate.
- Terrace809 (10/5): Great comfort, staff, and ambiance. - I will always remember breakfast on the balcony and the views of water on two sides, the sunsets, the super-personable staff, and the comfort of the villas. I would stay here again in a flash if I had the opportunity to visit Palau again.
- Tobacoman (10/5): Excellent hospitality with a spectacular view - We stayed at Caroline's Resort top bungalow for five days and it was an experience we'll remember for the rest of our lives. The view is spectacular and one of the best on the island. Facilities were clean and in perfect order, with a reliable room temperature, proper WiFi and breakfast catered to your own needs. What most stood out though was the friendliness of the staff. The single aim of the staff is to make you enjoy your stay as much as possible and to let the relaxed vibe of Palau, combine with the pristine location of their resort. This place is a gem.
- nicoled993 (10/5): Quiet and Relaxing - We had an amazing four days at the Carolines Resort!
We chose this resort, because we were looking for something smaller and intimate than the big hotels in the area. The Carolines only has eight bungalows, situated on one of the highest points on the island, with a fantastic view of the rock islands and the ocean below. The bungalow (#7) was extremely clean, large, with an amazing balcony with two chairs. The area is extremely quiet -- with the sounds of nature lulling us to sleep every evening.
We loved starting our day having our breakfast while overlooking the view from our balcony. The breakfast is included in the rate, and there were plenty of filing options to choose from each day.
The staff was fantastic and always there to help with any questions we had -- even driving us back and forth to our bungalow via golf cart. We took their shuttle from the airport and it cost 22 USD one way or 30 for roundtrip. We also had been traveling and used their laundry service. It was extremely reasonably priced for a hotel since they charge by the pound!
* An extra bonus if you are into WW2 history. Right above the bungalows, is a short path that leads to old relics left from the war.
We loved our stay at the Carolines and wouldn't hesitate to come back if we return to Palau!
- andreaeU3503RT (10/5): Fabulous Authentic Resort - We stayed here In combination with Palau Central Hotel. The views are amazing, and there is nothing like having your breakfast brought to you every morning on the deck!
Not sure what kind of bed is there, but it is the most comfortable I have ever slept in. We did the short hike around the property to see all the Japanese remnants from the war which is very interesting.
At night, we loved listening to the symphony of birds, insects, and possibly wildlife as during walks to/from the shuttle that would take us into town.
I highly recommend staying here to have an authentic experience!
- LizK242 (10/5): Absolutely fantastic! - Such a fantastic experience! My husband and I were there for four nights - then gone for a few days and back for 4 more nights. We were so excited to return for our second stint. The staff is friendly, helpful, accommodating and knowledgeable. We looked forward to talking with Krin, Abby and Nelson each time we saw them. The bungalows are so comfortable and give you nice privacy. The balcony is amazing - rainbows are seen regularly. Breakfast is delicioius! There are no restaurants on site, but staff will give you a ride to anyplace you'd like (a page with prices for rides is found in the office). Staff will also make suggestions of places to go with things going on (ie, Saturday night market). Laundry is available. Overall, Caroline's was a fantastic experience and we WILL be back again!
- StuartM1848 (10/5): Amazing place !!! - Great staff, great location, friendly staff. The rooms are very clean with incredibly comfortable beds. The breakfast is delicious.
It’s the best find we’ve made in a long time.
I am so disappointed to only have stayed one night. I will be back.
- TomofOrlando (10/5): Excellent as usual! - I thoroughly enjoyed my third stay at Carolines for a business trip that included a little scuba diving, too, with Palau Dive Adventures. The staff at Carolines is really delightful and help with any little detail: arranging to have a rental car delivered, coordinating with the dive operators, making restaurant reservations, advising on covid testing requirements, etc. I look forward to my fourth visit!
- Verified traveler (10/5): - プライベート重視でゆっくり
- Verified traveler (10/5): nothing there but that's what I want - 「
