• Louise (9/5): - Loved the local dishes such as Ischian rabbit and amazing seafood cooked fresh. Fish was amazing quality. Also enjoyed wine from their own vineyard and limoncello made from their own lemon trees in the family restaurant we ate there every night. The whole family made us feel so welcome fabulous hosts. We liked the beautiful relaxing gardens, pool area and jacuzzi. Quiet location away from the busy coastal road and could walk in all directions to Forio, to beaches nearby and the Mortella gardens. We loved our stay especially watching the sunsets in the evening. Damp sauna not up to sufficiently high temperature for use and dry sauna not in use, but realise it can't really be constantly heated for guests from an energy point of view!

• Corina (8/5): Good for a short experience of 1-2 days. But be aware if you have dietary restrictions, the food is not buffet style - The territory is nice and green, it felt like we were in our grandparents vila, back in 1990, and you feel like a guest the whole time. We had the Breakfast and the Dinner cooked by owners- which we are deeply grateful for the experience We visited in April, I expected pool to be cold due to the weather, but I completely did not expected Jacuzzi to be cold ( heated by sun ) At the end, before the checkout we were charged 55 eu. Ok, 12 euro is city tax, but the rest is for water and house wine - That was Purposed for Dinner during our stay of 3 nights. Maybe is a local tradition to not say that is not included, but from West to East from Customer Experience Perspective- nobody likes Hidden costs. Otherwise why we were not informed about water and house wine. Left with bitter taste

• Maria (10/5): - The villa is lovely. The hosts are incredible and very personable and friendly. The home cooked dinner was a highlight of our trip. With ingredients freshly picked form their garden all the way from the grapes for the wine to the little tomatoes.

• Anna (10/5): - Diese wunderschöne Familienvilla ist der perfekte Ort für einen erholsamen Urlaub! Das Grundstück ist groß, gepflegt und sehr sicher. Der Gastgeber und seine Eltern sind immer in der Nähe – freundlich, aufmerksam und geben tolle Tipps, was man auf der Insel unternehmen und besuchen kann. Das Frühstück ist lecker, besonders das Omelett – einfach super! Auch das Abendessen war sehr lecker und liebevoll zubereitet. Die Strände sind ganz in der Nähe und leicht zu erreichen. Unserer Familie hat es hier unglaublich gut gefallen – wenn wir wieder nach Ischia reisen, dann nur in diese Villa!

• Ralf (10/5): Urlaub in einer Oase - Die Unterkunft hat eine ruhige Lage. Sie befindet sich abseits der Hauptstraße in einer Sackgasse in Mitten eines sehr schönen Gartens mit einem alten Baumbestand. Der Pool befindet sich in der Mitte des Gartens und ist von außerhalb nicht einsehbar. Der Weg zum Strand beträgt ca. 10 Minuten. Die Gastgeber sind sehr aufgeschlossen und hilfsbereit. Zum Abendessen gab es mehrere Gänge, Max und seine Mutter Christina haben wunderbar gekocht und man ist mehr als nur satt geworden. Dabei haben sie das selbstangebaute Gemüse von Antonio verwandt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und würden diese Unterkunft wieder wählen.

• Toralf (9/5): Die Unterkunft war absolut tadellos. An die Straßen und den Verkehr von Ischia muss man sich gewöhnen. Unverständlich is - Die Anlage besteht aus wenigen Apartments, die sich idyllisch in einem gepflegten Park befinden. Besonders herausragend ist das Essen und die Betreuung durch die Familie des Besitzers. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Uns fehlte es an nichts. Nichts.
• Pavel (10/5): The little oasis of peace - If you're looking for a place to stay at Ischia but prefer a smaller, family run business to some anonymous hotel, this is the place to go. Max and his parents will take care of you as if you were their own. You'll find everything you need (pool, jacuzzi, sauna) in the garden that connects the main house and little cottages in the lower part to the restaurant in the upper one. We did have breakfast included but decided to go with dinners too for the full stay as it was easy and super nice option. You'll feel like Hansel and Gretel cos it's full Italian 4 course every day changing from rabbit (local speciality) to meat to fresh fish that is typical for this region and was absolutely delicious.
• Martyna (10/5): A wonderful stay in a green, peaceful setting - Villa Cristina's location is excellent – ​​close to shops and the beach, yet still feels like you're in the countryside – peace, quiet, and birdsong. The apartments themselves are quite basic, but the surroundings and excellent food make up for it. We had an incredibly relaxing stay, and I highly recommend it!
• Oonagh (10/5): Can’t wait to go back - Absolutely stunning, private little villas set in gorgeous gardens. Fabulous pool, jacuzzi, sauna..! The apartments were amazing, spacious and beautiful. It felt so private and quiet it was as if we had the whole place to ourselves at times. And breakfast was amazing too There was nothing I didn’t like at all !!
• Inna (10/5): Wonderful relaxing stay at Villa Cristina - It was a very good decision to stay for a holiday at Villa Cristina in these large beautiful apartments. My adult son had a separate bedroom and bathroom, my daughter and I also had a separate bathroom. Both rooms had access to a balcony overlooking the garden. The apartments also have a living room with a large table and a kitchen. Cleaning was done every day, which was very nice. The Villa itself is located in the middle of a luxurious garden, offering shade and coolness, and the pool was wonderful, always clean and well-maintained, and we often spent time here after a hot day at the beach. We were at a different beach every day, Massimo kindly told us about all the routes and also helped us book sun loungers in advance. The greatest value of this villa is its owners. Massimo from the first minutes surrounded us with care, and we felt very comfortable and protected, as if we were not just guests but dear friends. Massimo and his parents are incredibly kind people, we got peace and real relaxation while vacationing in their house. The breakfasts were delicious and filling, and Massimo's dinners with three courses of food and house wine were beyond praise. Massimo prepared seafood, fish, and meat, and they grew their own vegetables for the dishes. We dream of coming back here again. Thank you for everything, Massimo ❤️
• Susie (10/5): The most wonderful week in Ischia - We loved our stay at the villa cristina. I did panic slightly on arrival, as it felt in the middle of nowhere, but we were close enough to the beach (once we knew the better route not on the main road) and the hotel’s distance from the main town meant it was quiet and peaceful. The pool was great and the grounds were beautiful. But best of all was how welcome we were made to feel. Max and his family made our stay in ischia unbeatable. Max helped with anything we needed and made us the most exquisite food, catering for our picky family. All the food was fabulous, even the simplest things - bruschetta and caprese salad - were better than we had anywhere else. We had the most amazing stay. Thanks Max! Nothing

• Aleksandra (10/5): Świetne miejsce na wypoczynek - Rodzinna atmosfera, przepiękny ogród, bardzo zadbany, basen, cisza, która sprzyja wypoczynkowi, ale jednocześnie dzieci mogły być sobą. Do tego pyszne jedzenie, lokalne przysmaki, domowe wino. Niedaleko supermaket, dwie plaże w odległości spaceru. Trzeba trochę uważać na ulicy idąc w stronę plaży czy supermarketu. Ulica jest jedna głowna, i jest też chodnikiem. Tak czy inaczej, nie było sytuacji ryzykownej.

Le super petit déjeuner du matin ! La piscine magnifique suffisamment grande pour faire mes longueurs, propre et chaude! Les transats au bord de la piscine, sauna et jacuzzi et le jardin de palmiers fabuleux et très bien enretenu! C' est un vrai havre de paix si beau! Une résidence qui mérite 10/10! Encore mieux que sur les photos! L'appartement est confortable avec son lit XXL et sa super douche à jets! Le ménage fait tous les jours avec du personnel adorable! Nous aimerions y revenir! MERCI Max, Cristina et le papy pour votre accueil! Les déplacements en bus bondés et pas très bien indiqués !

• Carla (10/5): HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Beautiful tropical garden w/ pool on property, wonderful meals, hospitable staff! - HIGHLY recommend Residence Villa Cristina if you plan a vacation on Ischia! Each guest has a private apartment and bathroom with a small kitchenette. The residence is in a private, tropical botanical garden with a beautiful swimming pool. Breakfasts (and other meals) are in a beautiful open air covered patio overlooking the swimming pool and palm trees. Recommend the mezza pensione/half board in which dinner is included. The dinners include several antipasti/appetizers, a primo/pasta, a secondo/meat which was usually fresh local fish, dessert, and wine made by the owners. Very good value for the money and everything was freshly made at the moment! A bonus: the best beach on Ischia, San Francesco, is an easy 10-minute walk from the residence. Will definitely return! Seemed like things we asked for were a nuisance (like moving baby cot from one of our apartment to the other, literally 1 minute and we volunteered to do it ourselves \ moving tables so the group can sit together in an empty restaurant etc). Cleaning was not adequate especially garbage removal and refilling of soap. Felt like they were focused on providing minimum that is acceptable and not going above and beyond

• Robert (9/5): Relaxing off season stay on a beautiful island. - The facility was run by Max and his parents, who were very nice people. We did not want for anything. The other parts / towns on the island were within easy reach of Forio by local bus, which was reasonably priced. Mortella Gardens nearby was beautiful and well worth a visit, especially if you catch a music recital, (check the website and book in advance by phone). Walking to the town was very possible for us, (walked every day), but without footpaths on the main road, it would be difficult for small children or elderly.

Breakfast was good too, Mama made eggs and coffee which was fabulous. She also went above and picked oranges from their tree to make my son orange juice. Fresh veggies and fruits from garden to eat every day which we loved. The Jacuzzi was amazing too and the pool. It was so lovely coming back to Villa Cristina every day after beach and sun! The sauna was more of a steam room, it wasn’t that nice, smelt a bit funny too, but that’s ok as I had Jacuzzi instead which was super warm in the afternoon :)

• Victoria (10/5): Exceptional - Nice clean authentic rooms, surrounded by beautiful well kept gardens. Massimo couldn't have been friendlier and more helpful throughout the whole stay, even offering to arrange pick up/ drop off from the port. He arranged a great deal for car hire whilst we were there and we enjoyed a few meals in his restaurant which were really delicious! We felt very spoilt and would recommend anyone to stay here without hesitation.
• Colin (10/5): Utopia on Ischia. - Max and his family were wonderful. The meals that he and his parents prepared were great as was the accommodation. The pool was clean and inviting and the whole ambiance of the place was fantastic. The gardens were spectacular and well maintained. I would certainly recommend this place to anyone wanting to stay on Ischia and would make it my first choice whenever I return to the island. There was nothing I didn't like.

• Joanna (10/5): Holiday heaven - Everything about this Villa is perfection. Tucked away, it is peaceful, with beautifully maintained gardens, a lovely pool and privacy. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable, with air conditioning. The family are so welcoming and friendly you feel so looked after and cared for. The breakfast and optional evening meals are fabulous, would highly recommend dining here on an evening. Local bus stops and beaches are a short walk away, as are other bars and restaurants should you need them. Max and Maurizio were the perfect hosts, we had the best holiday. Nothing....it was superb
• Michael (8/5): Beautiful rooms in a perfect setting - Beautiful grounds with an incredible garden where a lot of the local vegetables and herbs are grown. Amazing to look over this while you have your meals. Their breakfast is everything you need and all in a lovely setting. The pool is great and it never felt busy or noisy. Max and his brother Mauro also went above and beyond to help us with organising a babysitter as we were visiting for a wedding. Their lovely cousin helped look after our 9 month old and she was very happy. Max was also very helpful and communicative and organized for our taxi to pick us up from the ferry. It's a few minutes walk to the main road but very easy to get taxis from. After the second night we seemed to receive some coldness for an unknown reason, that continued for the rest of our trip. We also had to pay 50 Euros for two meals for the babysitter which was not communicated or confirmed when booking. We were only informed of the hourly rate. This experience was a bit of a shame as it was a lovely stay despite this.

What really made our holiday was the kind family, Max, Mauricio and their incredible parents. They made the holiday. The food they produce every night is superb - an authentic delicious Italian meal using home grown and fresh produce. The homemade wine and Lemoncello are superb! The pool, surrounding area and views are excellent. Max and Mauricio helped us with transport, booking boat trips, bus routes, best places to visit and couldn’t have been more helpful. They went out of their way to make us (family of 3) all feel very welcome. Apartments are clean, comfortable and home from home. Location is superb and away from the busier centre of Forio although very close to supermarket and only 10-15 minutes to the centre and the beaches (Roads are busy and no pavements but that is across the whole island). We were very sad to leave - but looking forward to our next stay at this fantastic accommodation! Nothing.

Silence of the garden being apart of every main road, and having all the needed amenities like pool and jacuzzi. Room equipped with everything needed and cleaning done everyday. A lot of small flies in the room because there is no net on the doors. Not really disturbing, but inestetic. The road from accomodation to beach is very narrow and you need to be careful while walking.We recommend renting a scooter - host can help you with that.

• Alison (9/5): Hidden gem with the most amazing hosts! - After our stay it is obvious why Villa Cristina has such amazing reviews - what a hidden gem! Our apartment was clean, charming and had everything we needed. The grounds themselves are absolutely stunning, the views of the mountain from the pool were just beautiful and so peaceful. I think the best part was the hospitality of our hosts, we only stayed one night for dinner but the food was incredible and the homemade wine was to die for, not to mention amazing value! The location was slightly awkward so be prepared to pay for taxis - don't be fooled by Google maps as the residence is very close to Forio but the roads aren't the safest to walk on (esp at night) if you don't have a car/moped.
• Dollymixture (10/5): Amazing place, amazing people! - It’s Max & his lovely parents that make this place what it is.. Nothing is too much trouble at all. 15 mins walk from the beach & town, bus stop 5 min walk. Food is delicious and best value you will find anywhere on the island. Mamma Christina’s tiramisu is just the best! The road that you have to walk on to get to the bus stop or beach is a bit busy, but you soon realise it’s no different to any other road on the island!
• Anthony (10/5): A true pearl to stay on an island that is spectacular. and - Everything! the hosts are spectacular. the attention was phenomenal. The accommodation was a one bedroom apartment with a grocery store literally a 5 minute walk away. it was close to beaches. The breakfast was excellent and the dinners were cooked by the owners each night after discussing in the morning the plate for that evening. The setting is truly magnificent, peaceful, manicured and large. we essentially had our own pool as it was never crowded. the intimate outdoor (but covered) dining area was where you could always find Antonio and Cristina and their son Max. the word ‘No’ is not in their vocabulary. the accommodated all requests and made sure our journey around the beautiful island of Ischia was safe and enjoyable. each night we drank their homemade white wine, dipped our bread in their homemade olive oil and ate their garden vegetables that we could see directly in from of us as we dined. the apartment was fully functional. it was not small or overly sized but included a kitchenette and an outside table for afternoon snacks and a drink after a day of activities. max suggested to us 2 different beaches (actual sand beaches for those familiar with the usuals rocky beaches of Italy) and arranged a boat ride for us around the entire island. I’d write more hit the limit! truly nothing— except having the week come to an end! So I will use this space to continue my positive comments. As I mentioned above we invited ; other folks to accompany us on our ride around the island. these were people we never knew before but with whose company we were able to enjoy by being at the villa. we would go back today!! So much more I could say!
• Patricia (9/5): Peaceful and relaxing stay in beautiful, well kept grounds - Peaceful and relaxing stay in beautiful, well kept grounds. Max and his family were friendly, accommodating and generous. They fed us well and cooked my sons something different if they didn’t fancy what was on offer. we had plenty of produce from the organic garden, which was a treat, wine from their on site vineyard and lemoncello made by the dad. Our apartment had a kitchen and fridge freezer (a god send) and air con. The apartment was clean and comfortable. There is a small supermarket 5 mins walk. The public beach is 10/15 minutes walk. Nothing, when we had a problem it was sorted promptly. Our hob wouldn’t work when my son decided to cook one evening, Max and his dad sorted the issue straight away.
