- Emily (7/5): - Beautiful nature , clean and spacious room Not a criticism of the property itself but it’s not really in Pokhara as advertised on booking. It’s half an hour drive away and very expensive to get a taxi to town

- Matilda (9/5): Serene stay in local village - Beautiful location with Himalayan view on a clear day. Beautiful forest where you can walk. Very friendly staff, Susi was a really considerate host. Good food, nice yoga and lovely café. The water in the room didn’t work all the time but Susi took care of it ☺️
- Rory (10/5): Highly recommended. Fresh air, beautiful village, views of South Annapurna, and kind hosts. - This is a very unique place, located up in the hills with a beautiful view, kind hosts, and lovely food. There are many indoor and outdoor spaces for yoga. There is also an organic cafe with wonderful masala chai. I had a really lovely time here and feel grateful to have found it. Nothing to complain about. It’s a rural village, so expect to be a little isolated. Personally, this was a wonderful part of the experience for me.
- Goursaud (10/5): Amazing - It s beautiful and the best food I ever ate in Nepal Nothing

- Tuhinsuvra (9/5): Seeing mighty Annapurna from bed! - The view and the location are absolutely awesome. The area is well maintained, with beautiful flowers and plants. I’d especially like to applaud the employees who helped us throughout our entire stay. While the stay was pleasant overall, there is some scope for improvement in the facilities. We did not receive hot water in our bathroom as mentioned, and had to bring hot water from outside for bathing. Additionally, not all rooms have heaters, which may be difficult for guests who are not accustomed to cold weather.

- Jennifer (10/5): Highly recommend this unique gem. Such a special place, some of the best views of the Annapurna mountain range, true eco - Location is fabulous, stunning views. Cute coffee shop, good food, super friendly staff, cute dog. Nice walks around the lodge & perfect startinng point for trekking, we did the Mardi Himal Trek & the lodge helped us prepare the guide & visa. Nothing

- HABIBUR RAHMAN (10/5): - I liked the view, their natural foods, their good behaviour... Everything was good..

- Sheikh (7/5): Good -
- Sarah (9/5): It is a truly great place - what they've done with the bio-gas and water, organic veg, own teas etc. - Great place - eco village with rainwater collection and making own bio-gas. I was shown around, really interesting. Good location at the top of a hill and only 30 mins from Pokhara. Helpful hosts. Great massage! Own produce is amazing. Peanut/choco bar in cafe was divine. I would recommend a visit. There was a large party and they were having a great time so it was a bit noisy, although they were all quiet by 9.30 so no problem there. The menu is fixed, which is fine but I would have liked to know in advance. There was some flexibility however.
I would have liked to be told how it works, I kind of picked it up as I went along.
- Ana (10/5): A magical and heartwarming stay in the middle of nature, with wonderful people - The place has a truly special vibe. The view is incredible, the nature around is peaceful, and the people running it are absolutely lovely, they make you feel at home from the very beginning. It’s a beautiful and grounding experience. It’a a very quiet and simple place, so come with the right mindset to disconnect and embrace nature
- Anurag (8/5): Very good - The view, the mesmerising view of the mountains. Right out of a fairy tail. No basic immunities like water geyser and room heater. But the view is just breathtaking.
- Dhanasekar (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ichchha (6/5): Pleasant - Price for the food is really expensive
- Triskin (10/5): Well worth the experience. - A place of great natural beauty, clean air, water and food, and friendly staff, I highly recommend it to others. Everything was fantastic.
- Bebika (10/5): A very relaxing and beautiful place - Breakfast with that view is everything
- Lloyd (10/5): Beautiful place. Homely feel. Could stay longer. - Beautiful place at the foothills of Annapurna. Amazing staff, great food, stunning views.
- Nusrat (8/5): The village was beyond beautiful especially because of the annapurna view. The staffs were very welcoming and approachab - The welcome, view, service Road to get there
- Niharika (9/5): Superb - I loved my stay there. I would definitely recommend others. Rooms very clean& cozy, the view from balcony was beautiful as well as their surroundings.
- Arka (10/5): Exceptional -
- Marinova (10/5): Exceptional - Incredible view!!!! The place is a heaven in earth. My stay was so calm and relaxed, enjoying the view every single days, looking the sunrises and sunsets…. Very delicious food, kind and very welcoming family.
- Imke (10/5): Third time at this lovely family. Peacefull place, garden is so pretty. - Very sweet openminded family, so much love.
- Lennart (8/5): Very good - Amazing views, quiet and peaceful unique place fully self-sustaining. Would recommend to stay for couple of nights. Food is well-prepared but not so diverse (mostly dal baat). Breakfast is nice. It is more expensive than other similar accommodations, so I didn’t extent my stay eventhough I would have liked to.
- Sudikchhya (1/5): We didnt felt satisfied for the price of money we paid there . Didnt felt worth it . The rooms were very dusty as well a - The view was good Not as expected , the chares were high in what we got the value
- Jiezl (8/5): Very good -
- Bart (10/5): An absolute must if you are in the area! Come for the location, and stay for the people! - The setting, the people who work there, the food, the options for activities, everything was above and beyond what we expected. Watching both the sunrise and the sunset were absolutely incredible. I got along very well with one of the staff and we recorded a rap music video when I found out he is a rapper! Maybe it was just our bed, but it felt quite tough on our backs, but all of that was resolved when we did a nice morning yoga session!
- Asmita (9/5): A place to connect with your inner self! - Regardless of poor weather and visibility, the place had its own charm. The location is perfect - you can either stay in and relish the beauty of ordinary, or pack your day bag and hike to nearby villages and dive into the lure of hilly terrain. The staffs are friends and I must say, I found a family in them. I loved Annapurna Eco Village for its simplicity and calmness. I highly recommend it for those who are looking to get away from their city life and experience the village glamour that comes with comfort. The wifi could have been better but it didn't make much difference to me as I was there to connect with myself.
- Chiara (6/5): Pleasant - Room was spacious and clean, with a big bathroom and a great view. The place is very scenic and relaxing. The location is remote. It takes almost one hour to get to Pokhara by car. The place is mainly geared towards yoga and meditation but any other activity is problematic. The staff did not make us feel particularly welcome when we arrived. We felt as if we didn't belong there. They then became gradually more talkative.
- Bhattarai (9/5): Superb -
- Mireya (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sanyam (10/5): Exceptional -
- Claire (9/5): Superb - The good food
The view
The village
Nice staff
- Danielle (10/5): A peaceful and magical mountain retreat - Annapurna Eco Village was the most beautiful place to stay! Words cannot describe just how peaceful and magical the views are, as though you are flying in the clouds, perched high above the busy valley, surrounded by spectacular mountains. It was the perfect place to rest and relax, to enjoy yoga, peaceful walks through the local villages, the prettiest gardens and the friendliest staff. The rooms were very spacious, private, comfortable and quaint cottages, with an ensuite and all the facilities needed for a very relaxing stay. This was a true taste of traditional Nepali village life, away from the hustle and bustle of Pokhara. They grow most of their produce on the working Permaculture farm, so all the meals were fresh, tasty, nutritious and organic which is what we love! They even catered for my gluten & dairy intolerance, with the millet banana pancakes a morning favourite! We also went for some wonderful nature walks through the hills, guided by Navin (the owner's son), who also runs daily yoga and meditation classes that were very enjoyable and authentic.
We enjoyed our stay so much, it was a highlight of our month in Nepal. We will definitely be returning for a longer stay next time, and will recommend Annapurna Eco Village to all of our friends and family.
Thank you for making us feel welcomed like family!
Namaste from your Australian friends. 🌿🙏😊🇳🇵🇦🇺🌿 I couldn't fault anything! If we had any questions or problems, the staff made sure to fix it straight away with a smile.
- Saroj (10/5): Exceptional - The place is amazing .I really liked the place and the were so humble and friendly to us. Huge shoutout to Annapurna eco village. The people who are really interested in tracking and love to stay with nature I highly recommend them. Though the road or transportation is risky and bad but i think this should also be a part of your journey. Thank you Annapurna eco village to guve us the experience the beauty of nature ..😁😁
- Alhadi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Steven (9/5): Wonderfu eco-friendly retreat with awesome views - Beautiful location and view of Annapurna range.
Great staff and service
Organic food locally grown.
Most eco-friendly place I have ever stayed at.
- Defina (10/5): The place where you can feel at home - Everything. The 360 view, the food, the owner and the staff and even the dog. Everyone makes me feel like home. It was amazing! I would definitely come back! The road access to the property was still in construction on the rain season it can get muddy and only with 4 wheels or hike you can access it but it’s all worth it.
- Manu (10/5): Exceptional - I had the pleasure of staying at Annapurna Eco Village during my recent travels to Nepal and I must say, it was a delightful experience! Nestled in the heart of the mountais this family-owned hotel is a testament to the region rich culture and heritage.
The staff at the hotel were extremely welcoming and hospitable, making me feel right at home from the moment I stepped inside. They were always on hand to offer suggestions for places to visit.
One of the standout features of this hotel was undoubtedly the food - it was simply amazing! Every meal was freshly prepared with locally sourced ingredients and bursting with flavor. Whether it was the hearty breakfasts or the delicious dinners, I always looked forward to mealtime.
The accommodation was comfortable and clean, with all the necessary amenities that made my stay more enjoyable. The communal areas were also great, providing the perfect opportunities to meet and connect with other travelers from around the world.
In summary, if you're looking for a hotel that offers the perfect blend of excellent hospitality, homemade food, and a genuine family atmosphere, then the Eco Village is definitely the place for you. I highly recommend it!
- Gerard (9/5): Superb - Everything ,
- Denise (7/5): Beautiful place, lovely staff, but rooms could do with a bit more attention to detail for the price. - Amazing location and wonderful staff. Everything is environmentally friendly and organic. Delicious food. There was quite a lot of dead bugs in the ceilings/window sills in both the rooms and the main area - once you notice them you begin to notice more and more. Think the placecould do with a deep clean . I also think the rooms are quite expensive for what you get - each room could do with a lamp, table or rug - something to make them cosy.
- Fabienne (9/5): Family stay among nature and good vibes. - We liked the location right in the middle of a genuine village. The family is so sweet, welcoming. Lots of smiles experienced up there! Special mention to the good mood of the staff in the kitchen. You rock guys. The yoga hall and yoga mat could be cleaned more often to make of the space a more welcoming one. Because the yoga hall is just superb. It juts needs to be better maintained.
- Dennis (10/5): a memorable adventure! the hosts could not be more gracious. - comfortable, beautiful setting.
- Arya (9/5): Great experience - The location, the hosts, the culture of the place, the food, atmosphere, the fantastic view. The garden, and just being there is amazing! Woke up to an amazing view of the Annapurna, enjoyed the great local food with fresh organic vegetables. A bit pricey, our room wasn't the best. There is no running hot water, so showers are tough. Many other places in the region offer running solar hot water for rooms much cheaper.
Leaky toilet.
lots of flies in the dining room.
Overall great tho for the location.
- Cyrus (10/5): Amazing view, eco vision and the kindest people - Amazing place in all aspects. We were very happy to have found this place and spent 8 days there. The view of the mountains is stunning. The family who runs it has a great eco vision that they like to share and they are the kindest people that make you feel welcome and at home.
- Bogdan (10/5): Calm and peaceful - Stunning location and the staff and owners are the most genuine people we ever met
- Ellen (9/5): How to destress in Nepal - Watching the mountains from my balcony and the excellent food. I wish that there had been hot water for a shower. They have solar power, but it had been cloudy for a few days.
- Hhandley92 (10/5): Unbelievable location - - Amazing views in every direction from the premises and rooms. Room 10 has an amazing sunrise view from its balcony (with hammock)
- All staff extremely friendly and helpful
- All meals were great and very reasonably priced
- Room is fairly basic but comfortable and clean - extra blankets provided for when it drops a bit cool at night
- Was able to arrange a one-day guided walk to Dhampus with Navi and Tomo the dog I guess the only thing that would have made it better would have been a hot shower. However, hot water is available from the solar heated tank that you can take to your room in a bucket to wash with.
- Fazal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Debasishdas (9/5): Stunning views ! - The location is amazing and the views are stunning. You will get unobstructed views of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Fishtail.
However, keep in mind this is an eco-resort and hence amenities are basic. For eg. you will need to get hot water from a solar heater outside the room (that is really the only minor inconvenience). The temp of the room is fine and you won't need heaters (we went in early Jan).
These are small inconveniences but the room rents are very reasonable. There is one cook, so you will need to tell him what you want well before in time. He is very accommodating. Also, the road up to the Assam hilltop is under construction so you should be in touch with the property managers and tell them your arrival times etc. Regular small taxis are unable to go up to the resort so they will arrange a 4x4 car to pick you up which you will have to pay for. They speculate it will take one year for the road to be constructed.
In conclusion, I would prefer staying here again instead of the very busy Pokhara Valley. The morning views of the mountain range (sunrise and sunset) and the crystal clear night sky make up for the small inconveniences. We went for a tour around the three hilly villages around the area which was a nice experience. Also, they also have a dog (Tomo) on the resort who is not very playful. But the neighbouring property has a little puppy who is excitable and makes up Tomo's low enthusiasm :) Nothing really
- Ali (9/5): Superb - - Stunning views of the Fishtail and Annapurna mountains and a nice getaway from the city
- Family owned property - they were very friendly and helpful
- Sustainable property - they grow their own fruits, vegetables and use renewable energy and water harvesting - Rooms are very basic - they need to be refurbished
- Lacked basic amenities like hot water in the shower, shower curtains etc
- Cleanliness can be improved
- Quality of food needs improvement
- The road to the location must be improved by the municipality, it is a very harsh and bumpy trip
- Kneefel (9/5): Superb - breath taking scenery, lovely and open hearted hosts.
- Avinash (10/5): Exceptional - Views from the cottage, food from fresh ingredients. hot water is scarce.
- Bibek (8/5): Very good -
- Peeyush (8/5): Very good - Location and view Facilities can be improved
- Avraham (10/5): Exceptional - Everything! Paradise
- Benjamin (8/5): Very good -
- Atiar (9/5): very pleasant - nice and quiet atmosphere. Staffs were really nice. they were always there for help. they could upgrade the bedsheets and blankets.
- Verified traveler (10/5): - Superb
- Merijn (10/5): Perfect for a two or three day hike from Pokhara - The Eco village is a beautiful place on top of a hill close to Pokhara. Nice comfy but cold rooms, with warm blankets though. The solar power heated shower water was pretty cold because of the lack of sun probably and there is no alternative hot water. The food is good and we shared stories around the fire at night with the friendly owners family members and other guests.
We walked all the way from Pokhara lakeside and it was a great walk but you can also take a taxi or bus for the first part. The next day we walked on to Damphus which again was a nice (and easy) walk with great views.
Recommended!
