• Kamal Uddin (9/5): Like a Heaven - Location is wonderful. If any body want to spent some personal time , want to do nothing only taking rest, reading books then this is the best. We hope to come here again. This place is heaven for the surfers. Facilities are ok. Very simle one. Concept is minimalist.But it should be little bit more modern fittings maintaing the minimalist concept.

• Laura (10/5): Lovely stay at Oceane Villa - The staff went above and beyond during our stay. Nothing was too much effort. We enjoyed breakfast on our balcony at a time convenient to us. We had a lovely dinner organised by the hotel right by the beach. Felt a very personal experience. The place was lovely and quiet, almost felt like you had the whole place to yourself.We loved sitting by the sea on the grass in the villa, where you get the joys of sea view without the sand! You could also see turtles popping their heads. We really enjoyed the location as it was much quieter than mirrisa and it had a beach within walking distance that you could snorkel with turtles. We particularly liked Saman who looked after us during our time. We went on a whale watching trip and he organised the tuk tuk for us, was up early making sure we got it okay at 6am. We left early on the last day so he organised a breakfast for the road. up. Lovely stay! Nothing it was fab.
• Paul (10/5): - We stayed for 5 nights on a honeymoon trip. The hotel is very relaxing, with a stunning view of the ocean and coastline for sunrise and sunset. We loved the ambient noise of the waves which can be heard throughout the property. The staff here are incredible - Indika and the team were highly professional, courteous, and helpful. Breakfast was a multi-course meal every day with different options available - always delicious. We had dinner on several occasions here which was also always fantastic, in particular the Devilled Prawns was one of our favorite meals we had in Sri Lanka. There are also plenty of nice restaurants and cafes nearby.

Price of 250$ and above for the quality of rooms, lack of sound proofing is on the very high end vs what’s available around or in Weligama.

• Flurlie (9/5): Fantastisches Hotel mit außergewöhnlichem Service - Exzellenter Service und fantastisches Essen in familiärer Atmosphäre Frühstück und Abendessen werden direkt vor dem Zimmer oder wenn gewünscht im Garten serviert, mit traumhaftem Ausblick. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, hier eignet es sich gut zum surfen. Wer baden möchte, muss ein paar Minuten zu Fuß gehen um zu einem Sandstrand zu gelangen. Größere und bekannte Strände wie z.B. Mirissa beach oder polenha beach können problemlos per Tultuk oder Bus erreicht werden. Wir haben zwar auch selbst einen Hund, aber das Gebell der Hotelhunde kann teilweise etwas nervig sein.

La villa Océane est un bijou, petite structure de 5 chambres qui s’accroche en bord d’océan on a toute la journée et toute la nuit le bruit des vagues dans les oreilles, merveilleux. Le jardin est extrêmement bien entretenu, la piscine est parfaite c’est un coin de paradis. Les surfeurs descendent quelques marches au bout du jardin et le spot est là… paradis. Le staff est très agréable, serviable, très arrangeant, toujours prêt à aider. Nous avons profité d’un massage à la villa bercé par le bruit des vagues… les petits déjeuners sont délicieux, nous n’avons pas testé les repas car beaucoup de petits restaurants alentours accessibles à pied. • Morgan (10/5): Superbe - Superbe séjour à la Villa Océane. Le service était impecable. La chambre est très agréable et bien équipée avec une superbe vue. La pisicne est grande. L'emplacement est excentré par rapport à Mirissa ce qui était idéal pour nous. La mer en face n'est pas adaptée pour nager mais la vue sur les surfeurs et les tortues est exceptionnelle. Merci à l'équipe de la Villa d'avoir rendu ce séjour parfait.

The location is absolutely stunning — a popular surf spot and a fantastic place for turtle watching. It’s set in a quieter area away from busy Mirissa, which we really appreciated, and yet there are many cafes and great food spots nearby. Breakfast was included and was absolutely amazing - make sure to try the Sri Lankan breakfast while visiting. The villa truly wouldn’t be the same without its welcoming and incredibly attentive staff. Indika is one of the loveliest hosts we’ve ever met and made our stay feel extra special. Overall, we can’t recommend Villa Oceane highly enough for anyone looking for a relaxing and truly wholesome break. Nothing

• Kim (8/5): Einzigartige, ruhige Lage am Meer - Einsame Lage mit Blick aufs Meer. Schöne Ausstattung und zuvorkommender Service. Aufgrund des Riffs vor dem Hotel ist das Schwimmen nicht möglich. Im Zimmer sind immer wieder Ameisen aufgrund der Nähe zum Strandes. Die Hunde bellen leider häufiger sehr laut, was morgens störend ist. Preislich deutlich höher als andere Unterkünfte.

• Lauren (10/5): - I cannot recommend this villa highly enough. We were blown away by the service, hospitality and genuine kindness of the staff. It is technically a “villa” but much closer to the European definition of a boutique hotel. It offers five large rooms, any of which would have comfortably accommodated our family of 3. The rooms are very private and there is a communal lounge / lobby overlooking the magnificent pool. The reviews and photos didn’t do it justice. This place is absolutely perfect. The views from every room take your breath away. The pool is incredible, looking onto the ocean. The surfing launch point is directly in front of the hotel. The nearest beach suitable for swimming is an easy walk (5-7 mins) from the hotel. Madiha main beach is about a 15 minute walk at most. What sets this villa apart is the service. Nothing is ever too much trouble. The highly professional staff are always available but never intrude. They are so kind to kids and make families feel so welcome. Book this for a chilled out holiday, only a few kms from the far busier town of Mirissa.

• Mariia (10/5): Hidden gem away from the city noise. - Right in a front of the ocean, you can hear it from each room. It is only 5 rooms in the property, feels like a family stay. Staff is simply amazing, very attentive, kind people. Public beach is in 10 min walk. Very quiet place. Toiletries could be a bit improved, breakfast variety also.

A special thank you to Saman for being so welcoming as well as the junior staff, chef & wonderful gardener. An outstanding property & a well looked after garden & pool area. We had booked half board and we were pleased as all of the food portions were huge. Waking up to the serene view is worth staying here. We felt it was a bit overpriced as it lacked some amenities that we had in our other hotel stays e.g. toothbrush kit, moisturiser, robe. All these things could have made the stay a bit more special. We paid for half board and were surprised they charged us for the soft drinks we had ordered alongside our meal, on check out. I adored the dogs on site, but they did wake us up barking at 5:30am on most nights (not the most romantic for our honeymoon stay).

The on-site chef was excellent and made every meal a pleasure. Nothing significant. If anything, the beds could be a bit more comfortable, but this is only a minor suggestion and did not affect the quality of our rest.

Great place to stay, in particular, if you are a surfer, with a great break about 75-100 meters off shore.

Wir haben jeden Morgen einen Teller mit frischen Obst bekommen und konnten uns außerdem frische Omelettes und Pfannkuchen bestellen.

Tuvimos la suerte de conocer al dueño, ya que también estaba de vacaciones con su familia en el hotel, y se acercó a preguntarnos qué tal la estancia. The staff were extremely helpful and kind, always ready to fulfill our requests. They arranged an unforgettable romantic dinner for us by the ocean. The dinners were delicious, prepared with fresh, local products, and the same goes for breakfast. We also chose to have a massage, and they prepared a beautiful spot facing the ocean for it. The masseuse was excellent – highly recommended. The rooms were very clean and equipped with every comfort. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was magical. I never wanted to leave that place. Nothing.

The photos of the outside area facing the beach don’t do it justice. It’s a very calm & relaxing place to stay and lovely to hear the waves crashing onto the shore. The staff are lovely - so helpful & attentive. They went above what was necessary to help us organise onward transport to our next accommodation & then to the airport. Thank you.

The food is out of this world! Go for the Sri Lankan breakfast and make sure to have dinner at least once, that Tuna steak was just unreal! Cleaning was spotless! We felt like home every minute of our stay and we would still sit on our balcony in deep conversations staring at the perfect surf if we could! • Kristen (10/5): This is such a beautiful and welcoming place to stay. Only 5 rooms so you get top level hospitality - The hotel is so wonderful. The rooms are lovely, staff is so kind and caring, our breakfast and dinner were both excellent
• Chris (10/5): Paradise, in paradise - This place is absolutely breathtaking. Not only is the room and hotel immaculate, but with just 5 rooms, you honestly feel like you have the entire place to yourselves. They don’t let any non-guests into the hotel or garden, meaning you always have tons of privacy and space. The garden and pool area is incredible, and kept absolutely pristinely, with a bigger swimming pool than I’ve seen in some large resort hotels, so when not completely to yourselves (which it often was!) tons of space to feel like your own. A highlight was watching the surfers every evening as the sunset right in front of the hotel, with a few Turtles also making an appearance closer to shore / by the garden. It’s only 10 minutes from the main beach in Mirissa by TulTuk, and there’s a closer beach 5/10 mins walk away for swimming / snorkelling. This wouldn’t of course be the place it was without the staff. They were incredibly attentive and friendly, and make you feel entirely at home. We opted to have dinner 2 of the 3 nights we were there, and realistically should have done all 3, the food was some of the best we had in our 2 weeks in Sri Lanka, having both the curries, and fresh Yellowfin Tuna steak, both as good as it gets. A special mention to the young chap who serves dinner / breakfast (didn’t catch his name) he made all mealtimes even better, always with a huge smile, bringing you anything you needed, and topping up anything on your plate you wanted more of, and got the balance of attentive vs privacy perfectly. This is one of the nicest hotels I’ve ever stayed in, and would come back in a heartbeat!
• Austin (10/5): Wonderful place to stay, where we felt safe, loved the view and the service was exceptional!!!! - We stayed at the Villa Oceane for 3 nights and it was a wonderful experience from beginning to end. The extremely friendly staff meet us at the door and welcomed our whole family (we have 4 kids) with fresh juice and smiles. The rooms were beautiful and clean. The kids loved the pool and the beautiful view of the ocean. We loved the sound of the ocean and watching surfers every morning. We ate breakfast at the Villa every morning, the staff was very accommodating, and the food was amazing! We felt safe the whole time and felt like the staff answered any questions we had and helped us get in contact with the right people for activities that we asked about. Overall we loved the people and the facility and if we are ever back in the area we would 100% go back. Honestly we loved the whole experience.
• Niro (10/5): Exceptional - We absolutely loved our stay at this charming boutique hotel, tucked away on a peaceful street near Kamburugamuwa. The staff were incredibly welcoming and provided exceptional service throughout our visit. Waking up to the sound of the ocean and watching the surfers was a delight. The hotel's daily Sri Lankan meals were not only delicious but made us feel like part of the family. If you're seeking a home away from home, you won't be disappointed.
• Stuart (9/5): Great place to stay if want to be a little out of Mirissa but close to some bars and restaurants and to have fantastic s - The service was awesome from the most junior to the most senior staff . Always helpful and friendly. The meals are served on balcony / verandah and were of a very high standard . The villa has a nice refreshing pool . It’s about 500 m from lots of nice cafes , bars and restaurants in Madiha that has a beach mainly surfers . It was about a 10 min tuk-tuk ride into Mirissa . Perhaps a little over-priced

Additionally, the villa's close proximity to a beautiful, quiet beach offered the perfect setting for relaxation and activities like surfing and leisurely walks. Be happy to come back, 🙏
• Tomas (10/5): Very pleasant stay - We travel a lot but this accomodation was one of the best we ever had. Nice staff, good location and very comfortable room with large extra bed for our son. We felt like VIP every moment of our stay🙏 In front of villa is not beach or spot for swimming, only for surfing. So it can bother some. But nice beach is in walking distance so no problem at all.
• Cameron (10/5): A welcoming luxury hotel on the quiet coast - We immediately felt welcomed into stylish open-plan hotel, with an inner courtyard where the reception/help desk is. All bedrooms face the garden, clean pool and the sea. Breakfast of fresh fruit, pastries and omelette was served politely and cheerfully on our balcony. The kitchen was open to the courtyard and was clean and professional. The sea in front would be difficult to enter, but a 10 minute walk on small quiet roads lead to beaches. The main road with ATM and supermarket is 20 minutes walk. In summary, this is a well run, welcoming, high quality hotel in a beautiful quiet area.

• Hannah (10/5): Exceptional - Amazing place. So nice and clean and quiet. We upgraded to the suite after they offered us a discount and it was beautiful. We swam in the pool every day and lay out in the sun. We could walk to many restaurants and the main road isn't too far either with a supermarket. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. It isn't very safe trying to swim out into the sea from here. Its rocky and wavy. Stick to the pool.

• Bahadur (9/5): Superb - We enjoyed our stay and extended it for another night. Room was nice and spacious with sea view. We could see the surfers all day. Unfortunately the beach adjacent to the hotel was stony with strong waves which made loud sound (some people may need some getting used to this). The highlight was breakfast and dinner on the balcony. We chose at the start of the day from the menu and the cook would prepare from fresh ingredients some delicious food, which was very well presented. Our daughter thoroughly enjoyed the swimming pool. The fruits available were fresh and delicious. There are few nearby restaurants however we did not try them. The staff were really nice and helpful. We will be back again esp for the food. Loud sound of the waves. Stony beach area. Get a mosquito repellent for your feet if sitting out for dinner.
• Hannah (10/5): Peaceful luxury! - The most stunning location in a small boutique hotel. The staff go above and beyond. The breakfasts every morning were delicious and waking up to the sound of the waves. Wow. It’s a short Tuktuk into Mirissa. We also got the public bus to Weligama which was really easy. It’s so peaceful but also close to lots of fun things to do. I loved watching the surfers every morning. Would definitely stay again! Nothing

• Erik (10/5): Relaxed stay - The small well taken care of property, the unpretentious yet exclusive vibe, the incredible staff, the location so close to the ocean full of wide life like turtles and crabs, falling asleep to the sound of the ocean, very tasty home cooked food. And the amazing pool. A bit more care to the rooms, some nice lights for the coziness, some nice products for the shower. This are small things that would elevate the place to an 11 out of 10 :D

• Cheng (10/5): Exceptional - Stayed with a group of 7 adults and 5 kids. Took 4 out of the 5 rooms available which kinda made it like a private stay. Location was right by the beach where we could see surfers everyday. Walking distance to food choices. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff were attentive and always available to help. Had a local curry dinner there which was great too. We loved the pool too. Waves were a bit strong for swimming, had to walk a bit further for a dip in the sea.

• Suhas (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our needs. They also provided great recommendations for things to do nearby. The breakfast on the room balcony by the beachside was also a great experience. The rooms are comfortable and the pool is clean and is a good size.
• Simon (10/5): Chilled out ocean front stay with only the sounds of the waves and the breeze - Lovely greeting on arrival and everything about this stay was perfect and the Villa Oceane team were all very attentive, friendly and courteous - they were just wonderful human beings, as all Sri Lankans we met seem to be! The location and the sound and sight of the waves was very special and a local cool beach bar/restaurant (Doctors House - amazing Fish curry and Nachos) was only a relaxing 10mins walk or 3-4 mins in a Tuk-Tuk away. It was probably a little further away from Mirissa than we had anticipated - but only 10mins in a Tuk-Tuk
