Guest Reviews
- Ken Donison (9/5): -
- Joan (6/5): For the most part it was about what I expected other than the 2 issues I mentioned. - It was nice having breakfast included. There were lots of places to sit and enjoy breakfast
On the second morning, the lady working the breakfast station was very pleasant and very friendly….the nicest one we interacted with during our 2 night stay. The bathroom fan was wired up to run 24/7 which was not pleasant for sleeping. Even with the bathroom door closed we could hear it all night.
On the morning we were leaving a person from housekeeping knocked on my door at 9:00am to ask if we would be out at 11:00am checkout time. He was starting to use his pass card to enter when I opened the door. This was just weird and unprofessional in my opinion.
- surinder kaur (4/5): 0 from out off 10 - Nothing like very expensive what I pay nothing get anything breakfast was so so for vegetarian people only eggs was serving but no beans no oats meal vegetarian people wasted our money $609.00 Canadian dollars for two nights stay without any peak time really expensive next year we r not going back this property yealy we stay there but next time no we were hungry at night there is nothing for eat by waking distance toilet was really look dirty from in side like poop stick I look very dirty so finally never going back at Oliver location No restaurant not good breakfast for vegetarian consumers only egg servings in breakfast we looking for bred beans or potato vegs or oatmeal nothing for eat breakfast I wasted my $ 609.00 🇨🇦Canadian dollars for 2 nights nothing get I wasted my money and time they respect only white peoples they looking very different way for wearing Punjabi staying clothe but I have worldwide experience from hotel never seen like this staff judging customer only from age and clothing stayal
- Anne (7/5): Nice centrally located property - Centrally located in Oliver and within walking distance to several pubs and restaurants. Quick drive to N'Kimp golf course and Area 27. Free and easy parking. Air conditioning worked well. Breakfast (included) options are quite limited. My partner found the king bed quite uncomfortable, however, it was fine for me. Daily housekeeping was good and yet they never replaced our drinking glasses during our 3 night stay?! Towels were minimal, needed to request a couple more. 4 floors are serviced by one, rather slow, elevator.
- Nicole (8/5): Great place to stay in Oliver - Great location, wonderful staff!
- wayne (9/5): - We came to ride our bikes. Having the bike path beside the hotel was excellent as we did not have load and unload our bikes off the truck.
- Mark (10/5): We love the location and everything there is to offer at this Coast. - There was everything we enjoy and need in the breakfast options. Everything was good. Coffee was nice and hot and always in good quantity. Great to see wooden spoons. Would have liked option for croissants, muffins or bananas.
- BARRY (8/5): A great "home base" where to park the car for most of the time and walk freely about Oliver!! - Perfect location! A great setting. Fresh inviting appearance. Courteous reception. Overall relaxing ambience!
Gracious & accommodating manager (named Ron) who resolved a problem with our kitchenette fridge. Noisy fan in bathroom (of the room we were in) that surprisingly could not be switched off.
- Shilo (8/5): - Location was nice. Breakfast was a nice variety. The mini fridge did not have a freezer and was not very cold all my frozen stuff that I had thawed during my stay.
- Rob (10/5): -
- Sheila (10/5): This place was a refreshing treat I wasn't expecting - Friendly staff!! - Excellent value for the rate . The room was exceptionally clean -and I love the "BEE KIND" bath products to use! I felt very comfortable here and we will be back to book again as our central spot to visit Wine Country or hop on the KVR trail with our bikes .
- Mrs Cooper-Jones (8/5): - Travis, the front desk gentleman was very welcoming. We appreciated his zest for life! The breakfast options weren't great. Get there early or you wont be left with much.
- Bruce (8/5): -
- Ewanowich (9/5): - It was a nice quiet stay and I slept very well. Nothing really. A little noisy at times when the pool was open but it got very nice and quiet after 10pm.
- Jeffery (7/5): - Thought they could have a bit more put into Breakfast menu, a waffle machine instead of Eggo waffles, Bacon would have been nice instead of Just sausages .
- Ayers (8/5): - location was good. Room was bright. Breakfast included was nice. pillows were too lofty. We had 2- 15lb dogs with us. Pet fee seemed high, charged on each dog. No dog bed, water or food bowls or treats. Most hotels provide something. No manager available to talk too.

- Manns (7/5): Pleasant hotel, nice rooms, friendly staff. We'd stay here again. -
- Launa (9/5): -
- Genevieve (4/5): - The girls at the front desk were very nice and accommodating The place is really beat up. Marks on the walls, broken stuff etc. The cleaning was very sub par
- Phillips (10/5): - Friendly staff We didn’t have a television for our one night stay
- David (8/5): Ok for a night or 3 - Large comfortable room . Complete with kitchen . Nice sitting area outside the patio door The heating system was off . It never got higher than 20 degrees inside the room regardless of temp set at 30. We always felt a bit chilled .
Gym equipemnt . the bike and tread mill are not working properly
- kelly (9/5): -
- Chaz (8/5): The staff was friendly, room was nice and clean, but it was a bit expensive. - Skipped breakfast. Convenient location. It’s a nice place to stay but pricey.
- Dave (6/5): Stay for the rooms but plan on going elsewhere for breakfast if you want something half-decent! - The room was very good and the location was good. The breakfast is very poor. It is extremely limited in what is offered and the quality of what is offered is the most basic "quality" you could find. It does not come close to matching the breakfasts at Holiday Inn or Best Western hotels.
- Bernard (9/5): -
- Lee Anne (8/5): -
- Tanya (7/5): -
- Julio (7/5): Would look for a more reasonably priced hotel next visit to Oliver. - The prompt response we got from the staff when the toilet tank malfunctioned. We were immediately given another room which happened to be better than the first assigned. I felt that the cost of staying at this hotel was very high. You are paying premium rates for a hotel that is marginally better than a Hotel 8. Not overly impressed with the breakfast either.
- Lelaine (10/5): Great trip with the ladies! - Clean, accessible friendly. Please have a yogurt that does Not have fibre in it.
A choice of a regular yogurt would be a great addition.
- Joanna (7/5): Handy location - Good stay. I probably shouldn't have picked this room! Tons of space The plumbing was noisy and there was a smell from the drains
- Edward (10/5): Clean, comfortable, nice breakfast -
- Johnathan (10/5): -
- Margerita (6/5): -
- Cella (9/5): - Very friendly, at front desk, new young ladies Very nice, and friendly.
- Beverley (9/5): Lovely location - Great quiet location, only a block off of Main Street. Borders a lovely waterway pathway. Nice hillside views. Very comfortable beds. Enjoyed the pool & hot tub. N/A
- David (1/5): If you don't mind kids running and yelling in the hallways - The room itself was OK . Clean , nice soaker tub . Avoid this hotel on weekends during the winter . It is used by minor league hockey teams . When we were there boys the ages of 9-12 ruled the hallways . We had kids running up and down the halls till 11 pm and again at 8 am . Staff did nothing to put an end to it . We even had kids chasing each other through the dining area . The pool was off limits because it was full of unsupervised kids running and jumping into the pool. All this made for a horrible stay. 1 night was enough. I wrote a letter to the manager with my concerns and haven't yet relieved a reply . Never again .
- Sharon (9/5): A great place to stay for the price. - I was a little late for the breakfast so some food was just warm instead fresh and hot. There was enough to eat to satisfy anyone though.
- Caili (9/5): - Clean and convenient, good location, friendly service.
- Alden (6/5): OK - Breakfast average. Location great Trouble getting hot water in the room
- Christopher (7/5): -
- Clucky (8/5): The Coast Oliver is conveniently situated, clean, quiet, a perfect base from which to explore. - The hotel was quiet and the beds were comfortable. The toiletries were very nice! Our window looked out onto a gorgeous view. The room felt safe. Wifi was great. We were grateful for breakfast, there was lots and it was certainly fresh. I enjoyed the fitness room while my grown daughter had a dip in the pool. We were extremely close to everything but set back a little from the bustle of Oliver. The location is perfect for walking everywhere (we parked here and walked to Venables Theatre.) Landscaping was pretty and there was plenty of parking. Hotel staff were friendly and efficient. Glad to have such good coffee too - my daughter is a coffee connoisseur! Can't speak to the TV as we never turned it on, but lighting was great for reading and pillows were great: there's a lumbar pillow if you happen to need one. Room smelled clean - don't take that for granted! We had to move the "tea/coffee station" to find an outlet, but it was easier to heat water in the microwave. Nothing was labelled at breakfast (contains gluten, contains butter, etc.) and we hate to bother anyone - I'm sure we could have asked, and someone would have found us gf bread or told us if there was butter in the eggs, but we always feel awkward being a pain. I do think, though, that these are common questions: maybe you could label. There might have been a sign I didn't see saying "ask us for gluten-free" or something, we were a little bleary eyed.
- Angela (4/5): A Frustrating Stay — Noise, Poor Service, and No Resolution - Good location to the Venanles Theater. On the day of arrival, we received a call informing us that the room we originally booked wasn’t pet-friendly, so we were reassigned to a ground-floor unit. Unfortunately, our stay was far from restful. Starting at 4 a.m., we were woken by loud noise from the room above — a child crying and jumping repeatedly on and off the bed while the mother tried to settle them.
When we asked to be moved, we were told there were no other rooms available and that the guests above us were on a long-term stay. As a result, we decided not to stay the second night. The hotel declined to refund us for that night, which was disappointing given the circumstances.
Overall, the customer service was poor, and the room itself was in need of attention — the walls and headboard were noticeably unclean and could use fresh paint. We travel often, and unfortunately, this was one of the most disappointing hotel experiences we’ve had. Next time, we’ll stay in Osoyoos and make the drive to the theatre instead.
- Diana (6/5): - The breakfast was sparce. No waffle or pancake machines. Frozen waffles! No muffins or bacon. I was disappointed with the breakfast.
- Jeremy (10/5): - Clean and comfortable rooms.
- Robyn (8/5): - Nice hotel didn’t use the amenities
- Chuck (9/5): -
- Andrew (10/5): - Always clean and friendly. The available breakfast is quite good
- David Mark (7/5): - Nice people
- Kim (10/5): - Great location right along a beautiful hiking path and river. Walking distance to coffee shops, restaurants and Venables Theatre. Hot breakfast was served. The room was very clean and the air conditioning worked amazing!
- Lisa (10/5): - Clean room. Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Good location.
- michael (8/5): - It was great thank you
- Lou (10/5): - All was above reproach and we liked the breakfast offering.
- Douglas (10/5): Loved our stay. - Our room was comfortable and clean. The staff were helpful and friendly.
- Emily (8/5): - Comfortable room. Great staff.
- Anetra (8/5): - I think it be a bit cleaner it was not dirty by means but
- Susan (8/5): - We have stayed here in the past. Area 27 is nearby and it is not too far from the District Wine Village area. No Frills and a pub is within walking distance.
- James (10/5): - Our room was clean and comfortable. Ample towels, coffee in the room. Staff are very friendly and eager to please
- John (10/5): - breakfast options were good
- Tammy (8/5): - Some vending machines would be a bonus
- Sarah (8/5): - We stay at the Coast every year around this time and feel like this year something has changed . The quality of the stay was lower . The room supplies have definitely become more budget .. toilet paper, kleenex and even the lotions etc. the carpet in my room was really worn which is strange because the hotel is not that old . The front desk staff while lovely could not help us with any information. I feel like they really didn’t know anything about what is happening in their own town .. oh well
- Sharon (10/5): - Very nice staff, good clean hotel
Good value
- Clark (8/5): - It was within walking distance of downtown.
- David (8/5): - Very convenient to wine country.
- Deanne (8/5): - Property was well situated in town. Walkable to many local things. Beds comfortable and relatively clean. In the room we stayed in there was a sitting lounging chair that had visible stains. So we did not want to sit on it.
The pool and hot tub was nice.
The continental breakfast was very underwhelming. It did not change the 2 night we were there. And very limited items.
Only 1 elevator which caused many delays as the hotel was very full.
- Lianne (8/5): - It’s a nice, clean hotel.
- Jayson K (4/5): - Rooms are showing wear and tear. Dirty and scuffed walls-needs a repaint. Carpet in room dirty with some kind of burn spots.
- Joseph (10/5): - Good hotel in a good location. Have history in Oliver and felt this was a much needed unit. I know there was some push back from locals but Oliver is a quiet sleepy town so thats expected. This place gives great options for people from out of town or people hitting up area 27. Nice staff and nice building!
- Colin (10/5): - This hotel was conveniently located and is clean and well provisioned. The staff were very helpful. The included hot breakfast was very good.
- Sharon (8/5): - Great way to break up long road trip from Vancouver! Continental breakfast was surprising had lots of options, bed was extremely comfortable.
- Amanda (10/5): - We had a very nice view of the marina. The room was comfortable and clean. The elevators were functioning, however the staff were very pleasant. The location is perfect for walks.
- John (8/5): -
- Haley (6/5): - No elevator each day of my stay
- Jan (10/5): - All good!!
- David (10/5): - .
- Mike (10/5): - Good place
- Jorgen (9/5): - Breakfast was good, rooms where clean. Breakfast could start 30 minutes earlier
- Simson (10/5): FOR THE PRICE, BEST CHOICE IN THE AREA. - CLEAN AND BIG AND MODERM ROOM, REASONABLE PRICE, INCLUDED BREAKFAST AND CENTRAL LOCATION FOR GOKART AND RESTAURANT CHOICES. NONE, BUT IF MORE HOT SELECTION IN THE BREAKFAST AND PERHAPES MORE FLEXIBLE CHECK OUT TIME WILL BE EXCELLENT AND OVER THAN OTHER HOTELS.
- Brian (10/5): - Staff are very friendly. Hotel is close to all amenities and parks.
- Tricia (2/5): - Terrible experience checking out of hotel. Debit transaction for payment went through however hotel staff did not acknowledge my payment even tho’ I showed them the amount was debited from my account.
- B (10/5): - Good stay
- judy (10/5): - the breakfast was excellent
- Michelle (6/5): - We had a kitchen in our suite and it didn’t have the proper cooking equipment to cook with. Waste of money for the extra kitchen and was not able to use it.
The staff at the breakfast were absolutely amazing so helpful
- Juggy (2/5): - We stayed in 3 rooms for 3 nights which cost us more than $3000. We were there for a family wedding. The rooms were infested w fleas and bugs. No apologies and poor customer service w. Coffee makers dirty. Staff lacklustre and not interested in helping. Breakfast eggs inedible. Room cleaning staff were friendly.
- Baljit (10/5): - Great place to stay such a nice hotel and town
- Ramandeep (10/5): - Had a good time
- Parm (10/5): - Convenient charging
- Gareth (10/5): - Breakfast was great 👍
- Heidi (8/5): Always appreciate a Coast hotel. - Great location. Being right on the river and green space is really nice. Easy access to the waking path, awesome for dog owners.
Love that Coast is dog friendly. When we checked in the room was heavily sprayed with an air cleaner. The bathroom had a lingering body odour smell. Took some time for that to clear, but it continued to smell a bit like body odour. That’s not really the hotel’s fault as some types of guests really have poor hygiene.
- S (8/5): - Beautiful view from our room and we enjoyed our stay at Coast Oliver 💙
- Edward (10/5): - The service people were friendly and helpful! Thank you! The room were clean, but the beds were a bit small
