• McCreary (10/5): - Nice hotel. There should be on-site parking for all of Hyatt guests. We had to walk 2 blocks from the hotel, late at night, with all of our luggage to another parking garage that is not the Hyatt, and would charge us if we were not out of their garage by 8am. This is what the Hyatt front desk gave us for the option of parking.

• Wendy (10/5): Great hotel with parking, a hot and varied breakfast, and great location right by the pedmall! - The front desk girls were so friendly and helpful. One of them was named Rachel, but I forgot the name of the girl when I checked out. Both of them had wonderful people skills. The breakfast had a great variety of food. The location is wonderful. It would be nice to be able to park in the lot before checking in, but I realize that is tricky for the hotel since access is very secure and requires a hotel key. Not that big of a deal for me with this trip, but it might be on a day when campus is crowded and street parking is filled.

There were lots of restaurants in walking distance. All in all, I would recommend Hyatt Place to anyone visiting Iows City. Every thing was great!

So disappointing and we stayed on the nine floor. We still heard people talking from the street! Hearing every door that were shut. Our door were vibrating every time! I did not sleep well at all! Never going to booked this hotel again!! If you check our records we stayed a lot of hotels!

I like how clean the rooms are and noise level is quite which is good after a long day makes it easy to unwind. The next morning the water in the shower was Luke warm at it's best. Had it turned all the way to hit water settings d it didn't change anything. I stopped at the front desk and checked out and let the staff know. At that time she apologized and was going to have mantaince look at the problem.

A hot tub would be nice! Wish we didn’t have to move our vehicle by 3pm, our event wasn’t over until 6pm and e hands to move our vehicle and pay parking in a downtown lot after paying to keep our vehicle in the underground parking over night.

We even found charcuterie and wine in the shop for a long afternoon. Splitting hairs, but I like some warm colors around. It’s nicely contemporary with shades of colors, cool colors. The latest decorating colors.

We couldn’t get the TV to work in our room and when I called down to the front desk and told them - I was told to turn the TV off and turn it back on and that should work. It did not. I decided the person at the desk didn’t know or didn’t care so I did not call back down. It was very disappointing.

The parking was well worth the small extra fee. Everything was clean and well maintained. The breakfast had a great variety, accounting for many diet types. Check-out was virtual and an hour later than most other hotels in the area. We did not have any complaints.
