- kimberly (2/5): - We were visiting friends in Grants Pass and made a last-minute decision to stay overnight. Our friends suggested Redwood Garden, noting that the outside grounds looked beautiful, though they had never stayed there themselves. When we arrived, a woman at the front desk was asking to be moved because her room smelled bad. During this, the front desk associate, Daniel, didn’t acknowledge me at all—no greeting, no “I’ll be right with you.” It took him about 15 minutes to handle her request, which seemed unusually long for something so simple. Once it was my turn, Daniel checked us in. We were excited because the grounds of the hotel are lovely, but our room was the complete opposite. It smelled terrible, the carpet was heavily stained, and overall it did not feel clean. I went back to the office and asked Daniel to move us to another room. He refused at first, saying that because I booked through Expedia, we had to stay in that room. I pushed back, explaining that the room was unacceptable and asked for a manager. Daniel reluctantly called his manager, but instead of resolving the issue promptly, he insisted on walking to the room with me to “verify” the stains—as if I was making it up. He even argued that the black stains were cleaning product, which was absurd. Back at the office, while processing the switch, he told me the hotel was “taking a loss” because I had booked through Expedia and implied that it was my fault. I was stunned by how rude and unprofessional this was. T

Close to the downtown area made our visit to Grant's Pass even more enjoyable with plenty of restaurants to choose from. I would definitely return to this property.

The way the bed was made, when I pulled down the top sheet/blanket, everything came undone. Flat sheet used for bottom sheet - I had to remake the bed before getting in. Front desk clerk did not advise when desk closes - I wasn't sure how to return key. Left at night desk. Would not stay here again or recommend.

So no breakfast,and no on site breakfast as advertised. Coffee in room but no decaf. Only 2 towels for a king size room. Sheets and towels are rough.AAA signage everywhere and no AAA discount. Tile floor in pet friendly room is sticky. Dog walking area is on the other side of the compound from pet rooms. Beautiful grounds,it appears all the energy invested is in the landscaping.Would have moved but for the 48 hour cancelation policy.

- 511NotOk (2/5): Calling all firemen! - Well, where to begin. We arrived to our king bd room that smelled like yrs of smoking and the door was broken so it would close fully, to keep sound out. There was a draft and excessive nose from the busy street we were next too. We called the frint seat to see if we could switch to another room, when she let us know that there was already a maintenance ticket in for the door issue. She said she would see what she could do and that almost all rooms were booked. She called back 20 min later saying her manager who was not on site and out of town said for us to just go elsewhere (WHAT?) instead of moving us to another room. So, we farhered out things to leav and tried to walk out the door and the dam door wouldn’t open, as we tied and tried to open it nothing. we called the front desk again and asked if she would come and let us out. she could nr get the door open and went and called her manger again, she came back with a tiny screw driver and pulled the screen off, a 8in x20in slider window to get it to us. She was finally able to open the door from her end came in and shut the dam door so now all three of us were locked in the room, I tried several times reaching my a out the window to open from outside but could not, THANK GOD I’m a tiny human, cause I had to climb out the window to get to the door and get it open to let my husband and the worker out of the room. EVEN AFTER ALL THAT THEY WOULD NOT UPGRADE OR CHANGE OUR ROOM! when I went to get a refund to leave there were not one but two charges on my account. WHICH SHE then proceeded to tell me we’re not there as I showed them to her. She talked to the manager several times in the phone and said she was out of town and that she was gonna get yelled at or even fired if she gave us another room and didn’t charge us more….ARE YOU KIDDING ME WHAT A JOKE THIS PLACE IS!!
- cathyreno (10/5): Great Experience - We didn't make a reservation because we didn't know when we would be ready to stop driving for the day but they were able to accommodate us. The front desk clerk provided excellent customer service. We stayed in a room with two queen beds. It was very spacious and I liked the way the rom was set up with the separate refrigerator/microwave/coffee pot area. The bathroom was nice sized, and the shower water pressure was great. I didn't run out of hot water in just a few minutes like other places I've stayed at. The bed was very comfortable, the three pillows were great, there was almost no outside noise to bother us. The room was clean and spacious. There was a dining table, dresser/tv stand, closet and 3 nightstands for lots of storage room for longer stays. There is a pool and hot tub, but we didn't use either. The landscaping is very nicely done, giving it a small park like setting. All in all, it was an excellent experience and I would definitely stay there again. I highly recommend this hotel.

One of the 2 queen beds in the room even had a major dip in the middle of the bed and we sunk down in. Felt like we slept on a concrete floor. Time to upgrade!!

They are super clean and roomy. It's like a home away from home. Even though you are down town, the redwood trees, water features, and other landscaping make us feel like we somewhere else. Will definitely stay here again.

This was our 3rd visit to Redwood and it didn’t disappoint. The ground are nicely kept, friendly staff, quiet, good beds, etc. They are a family business, not a chain, and take great pride in their business

Expedia should not EVER had taken this reservation since hotel was still in phase 1 opening. Even the hotel had stated upon our arrival that they just stopped taking resvervations due to complaints. Bottomline, even with all the above, this hotel is still only a $65 room w/ lipstick.

- Brittany (10/5): Cute hotel - I stayed here with my mother in law and daughter. We stayed during covid times, there was a lot modified, no breakfast, pool, gym. But it’s ok we really just needed a place to sleep. The property is beautiful!! Grants pass is a cute little town. Our room was bigger than most places so that was nice! Ac unit worked well and so did the heater. Beds could be more comfortable for sure.... not too excited about that. Otherwise it was a great place to stay. Staff was super friendly.

I decided to get a hotel while in town instead of sleeping on my dad's couch that hurts my back. I could have saved the money because the couch is softer! Other than that it was great
- cathywQ9962FT (10/5): Best in Grants Pass! - The Redwood Hyperion checks all the boxes for me. The staff are friendly and always available. The rooms are spacious, comfortable and well appointed. Everything about this place is clean! The rooms, the grounds, the pool, the spa. Location is convenient to downtown area and easy access to highways. It is also very quiet at night. I have family in Grants Pass and have stayed at Redwood Hyperion several times.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay in Grants Pass - This was kind of a staycation since we live about 30 miles away. The desk clerk was very nice, friendly and helpful. He went out of his way to make sure we knew where the room was. The room was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were pretty firm & we generally like a softer bed, but it was fine. (To management: an idea i thought of was to have one softer bed and one firmer bed in the rooms with 2 beds). Even though it was a Saturday night, the hotel was very quiet. The bedding was warm, the shower had good pressure. They gave us plenty of soaps. The grounds are really pretty amd very relaxing. A gery nice stay. Thank you.
- Peters (8/5): - Property has easy access to both one way traffic streets allowing safe entry and exit. Despite its location to the Historic town center it is quiet with pleasing landscaping to give an outdoorsy feeling. Our stay was from a Sat to Thu during the off season when reduced staff and amenities limited the full use of facilities. Wake up service was not provided via room telephone and the provided alarm clock was complicated to use. Not a pleasant situation for making an early morning flight out of Medford.
- Paul (10/5): - Overall, this is the best place I ave stayed in Grants Pass having made four trips there in the past 18 months. On th exterior, it has esthetic grounds and good-ample parking near your room. My room was up-to-date as to furnishing and everything was very clean. This is the place I will continue to use when staying overnight in Grants Pass.
- kinwa (6/5): A Nice Place But... - Hotel was nice and clean and we were told we were the only guests so far (an off-season Monday). I made the point of saying, “Good - no noisy people beside or above us!” When we came back from dinner another couple was going into the room right next to us and of course proceeded to turn their TV on loud. On a slow day why wouldn’t they leave an empty room between guests? Argh!
- mini (10/5): Amazing Suite Room - Loved Our Stay at Redwood Hyperion Suites, Grants Pass, Oregon - We stayed at their amazing suite at Redwood Hyperion Suites. Its a very large place to stay with nice living room with fireplace. There is a huge kitchen with dining table. Then there are two bedrooms with comfortable beds. There is a bathroom. There is also a hall closet. We decided to splurge and stay there for the night. We were so happy we did. We made our own dinner. The breakfast buffet is nice and I enjoyed it and took food up to our suite to my husband who was sleeping in. There is a pool and jacuzzi. There is also an exercise room. I opted to walk the neighborhood instead as pleasant area for walking. Staff is very nice and helpful. This is a great place to stay in Grants Pass. Parking is free; one does put a parking permit in one's car window.
- A3170KVterryh (6/5): nothing spectacular. - this is a nice hotel. There isn't anything around it to do. You have to drive to the river and downtown. The rooms are clean and comfortable. This is a place that would be last resort. The prices are high.
- lindamX6800GQ (10/5): Perfect! - We stayed overnight on our way to Lincoln City, and couldn’t get over how perfect our room was! The room was very spacious, and included a separate bar area with a refrigerator, microwave, and coffee pot. The bathroom area was spacious as well, with double sinks and nice, thick towels. Another added convenience was being able to park in front of our door. Also, the motel grounds and lobby area were especially beautiful. Our only regret was that we weren’t staying longer!

- kenbU4479GL (8/5): Nice Rooms and Well Groomed Grounds - We were very impressed with the overall look of the place - it showed class and was very clean and well maintained. After a long day on the road, the hot tub was nice. The room with a king bed felt spacious. The desk clerk was very helpful, polite and friendly. The only down side to this motel was the complimentary breakfast - packaged food for heating for example; we turned around and went out for breakfast - very disappointing.
- P215WDdawnr (8/5): Cute, comfortable and clean. - The grounds and rooms are well maintained and clean. The only downside was the beds are FIRM! That being said I would for sure stay again. We used the hot tub and also had breakfast. Breakfast is the usual continental but dining room was clean and items were replaced quickly. Made coffee in our room and drank it on our little patio. Very nice place to stay at a great price!
- Edstevens420 (10/5): Very nice hotel! - The rooms are really nice and clean, with beautiful grounds. We have stayed a few times now in various rooms and gladly come back when we can! Just as a heads up, unless you plan to sit and look out the front window (the one by the door) while you eat or drink coffee or whatever the case may be, the “garden view” rooms are not worth paying extra for since they are the same room as the regular rooms just with a better view out the front window. There are also cars parked between the room and the garden area, so if theres a big car in front of the room, the “view” is non-existent. Didnt bug us any, but just more of an fyi
- DoloresJacoby (10/5): Fabulous Gem - If you venture a little further west from I5 you’ll find this gem of a hotel. Redwoods are planted on the property, architecture is lovely, rooms spacious and well appointed, and several waterfalls soothe travelers’ weariness. The checkin process was outstanding with Cindy, who accommodated every need. Breakfast is included and the price well worth the stay. Pool is available on premises. A great rest!
- scotthV2830PW (10/5): Nice location - No complaints staying here. Liked parking right in front of the door of the room. The bed was nice. Breakfast was just okay. Some yogurt and oatmeal. About in the middle of the town and was close to Hellgate boats that we rode on.
- jonih845 (6/5): Three years of stays..... - Over the years the Hyperion has always been clean and ready. This year we noticed a few slips and would like to point them out. The breakfast was skimpy-coffee not hot- fruit looking old and unattractive. There is an attendant but she's usually doing a puzzle -why not use her time to service guests ? Breakfast hours inconvenient, too. If check out is 11:00 why stop breakfast at 9:00 ? Not enough towels in the room. Ok, so I think we could get more at the desk ....but really.....why not just stock with two? Summer prices were terrible. We paid 50% more than winter.
- SoCal_Mary_Ann (10/5): Favorite Hotel Experience EVER! - My husband and I travel to Grants Pass to visit family about twice a year. Our room is always ready on time and impeccably clean! The office staff and the cleaning staff treat you like royalty. The pool and jacuzzi are fabulous! The grounds are so peaceful - you’ll never want to leave! They are located just a few short block from downtown Grants Pass! I highly recommend that you stay here when you are in town... you will not regret it!
- scarpa1977 (8/5): Great pool for the family - I stay at Redwood for two reasons! My grandkids love the pool and they have clean nice rooms! These are not the cheapest rooms in Grants Pass but the pool is the best in Grants Pass and the place is very safe! If they would improve the breakfast and the air conditioners in the room they would get 5 stars. We have brand new towels in the room and the beds are perfect! You would think they would add some hard boiled eggs or oatmeal to the breakfast? The staff at the desk is friendly and the keep the grounds perfect!
