• Ritchel (10/5): - The location is too close to everything that you need. Karen (the owner) is so responsive. It’s a beautiful place to stay. Just few steps outside the place, you can have the entrance to the York’s wall .. of course apart from it being close to the York Minster and shops. Maybe an extra pillow would be best. :) But ptherwise, this place is so amazing and well maintained.

• O'Brien (7/5): Lovely room in ideal location - Location was ideal. room was as advertised. Great communication from owner. The bathroom wasn’t as clean as I’d have liked. I had to wipe the toilet seat and wipe around the sink etc. could’ve done with a better clean prior to our stay.

• Anita (9/5): Karen was very helpful & replied to any text messages straigh away - The property was in a good location as was not far from the station & right near York Minster. The property was clean & my bed very comfortable & tea & coffee etc was provided & so was shower gel & hand washing with towels, extra pillows & hair dryer Nothing really. The attic room did have 6 short flights of stairs, 50 steps approx to climb, but I did choose that room
• Ian (8/5): Generally good value accomodation and close to many of the cities facilities. - the accomodation was close to much of historic york and easy to get back too This comment is just personal. Although I could manage the stairs, I did find them a little difficult at times, and did not appreciate from the description of the property that the room was on the top floor.

Some aspects of the room could be better, such as the size of the shower in comparison to the room it is in and the finish of the decor. But if you need somewhere comfortable to stay with no frills, it was perfectly adequate.

• Lilith (9/5): Nice, clean and comfortable - good for a short stay! - We had a lovely stay in the room, it had everything we needed. The bed was lovely and comfortable, the bathroom super clean with soap and body wash and we enjoyed our complimentary Yorkshire Tea in the morning. It was well located near nice restaurants and not too far from the centre. Would recommend! The communication was a little bit stilted but overall not bad and didn't affect our stay. You can hear when people are in the hallway but we had no issues with anyone being loud.
• Jessica (10/5): Perfect location, big cosy clean room, owner was super easy to contact and literally everything was so close! - Had an absolutely lovely stay room was very clean and bed was super cosy! Had a TV, a nice wardrobe, a couch, tea and coffee making facilities, a big bathroom and even an LED mirror in the bathroom and bedroom to do your makeup etc! In a very convenient location on a road with Tesco express just a min away and everything was pretty much a 10 min walk away - check in was also super easy. Definitely recommend :)

• Robert (7/5): An attractive room, excellent location, easy to access, with a couple of niggling features. - The location was excellent, with quick walking access to the city and Minster; and the street became quiet for sleeping from around 11pm. The decor was tastefully done, the bed and bedding was comfortable and access to the keys worked well. The secondary glazing in the bedroom helped to reduce the noise of the street, but I could not open it to get fresh air into the room. As no breakfast was offered, I brought my own, but there was no fridge to keep it fresh. The shower head dropped and there was no extractor fan working in the bathroom.
• Mégane (8/5): Logement à 2 pas du centre historique de York - Proche du centre historique de York, nous y avons très bien dormi. La chambre est spacieuse et agréable. Le système pour la douche est un peu spécial et difficile à réguler sans que l'eau ne passe de très froid à très chaud.
• Barclay (9/5): Excellent experience staying here and would definitely recommend for a city break - I liked how close the property was to the man part of the city and was very easy to get around! Only fault is no parking, but understandable given the location. There are car parks not too far from the property

The room was clean and comfortable, the shower was good. We would definitely stay here again. Would have preferred a parking option. The iron was unclean and would have stained my clothes had I not used a towel.

Very quiet room in center of town. Close to mini market for snacks etc. The bathroom had odour, but not game changer. Some basic cutlery would have been helpful. Easy for me but hard if anyone couldn’t maneuver steps.

They apparently sent me some info through whatsApp. I don't even use it. Booking. Com also failed to reach the property. I had to make a last minute booking. Cost me double the price. • Dominika (8/5): Central location with a comfortable bed - The location is great, nearly on the doorstep of York Minster, with a fantastic Love Cheese (and wine) shop right opposite and plenty of local amenities. Although I haven't seen any staff, I received text messages asking about my arrival, mid stay cleans etc, which was nice. The bed was medium hard with a soft topper. The heating was on, which made my autumn stay very comfortable. Plus, the walk in shower and water temperature were great. Due to the location and set up, this accommodation is not suitable for light sleepers or people with mobility issues, which I knew and was fine with, but it might be helpful information for other travellers. A modern day problem - the TV was very small and I struggled to see the screen; it might be worth for the accommodation to consider changing the position of the TV in relation to the bed of the sofa.

• michael (9/5): A really lovely four days. It was good to be so near the minster and other attractions. - Excellent location. Spacious. Tea and coffee. Fresh thick carpets. The boxes for the keys were a little high fir short people.and it took a while to work out hiw to open them. I found it a little difficult to get a comfortable temperature at night

• Mónica (7/5): Fair enough - The location was amazing, very close to everything just walking. The bed was comfortable and it had basic things. I had some communication issues with the owner and stressed a bit regarding check-in. I was supposed to receive a code to get the keys but something failed along the way, I'm not sure who's fault was it, in the end someone opened the door for me and let me in, they also apologize. The building is not very accessible, there are only stairs and luggage must be carry all the way up. The bathroom was very small and the shower layout was uncomfortable, to get in or out there is a big step and the space between the glass and the wall is very reduced, there was no place to put thing inside the shower. The room was very basic but comfortable.

• Cecilia (7/5): Sencillo pero céntrico y correcto - Un alojamiento sencillo pero correcto en una ubicación muy céntrica para poder visitar todo York a pie. Limpio y con todas las comodidades. Lo único a tener en cuenta son las escaleras si se trata de personas mayores, con poca movilidad o viajando con equipaje grande (como me sucedió a mi que tuve que subir 3 pisos con una maleta de 20k, aunque no puedo decir que lo ubiera revisado antes así que no culpo al alojamiento). Pero si no es el caso o si viajan ligeros de equipaje, lo recomiendo.

It was exceptionally clean with more than enough towels and coffee making stuff provided. There was also soap and shower gel which was handy. The location was even better than I had expected, everything in the centre was so close. Karen was very nice and helpful and replied very promptly to messages. The bathroom needs a little tlc but it’s nothing crazy and mostly cosmetic. It didn’t impact on the cleanliness or functionality which is all that really matters.

• Mass (7/5): Great location, room is in need of repair. - Great location. Good space. Great light. Good storage in room area. Insufficient storage/ surface in bathroom. Window in room did not open and had garbage between the panes! Fireplace also had a garbage bag hanging down inside it. WiFi is very spotty. Tiles and door in bathroom are cracked and in need of replacement.
