• Lothar (9/5): I felt welcome to a beautiful house of historic charme. Spacious bathroom, very good value for money - Spacious entryway leading to the house. Very secure in excellent neighbourhood. Artcaffee and Restos close by. Breakfast was good, the host provided the ingredients. Historical charme of Kilorun house is unbeatable. That is what attracted me. Adriel was a great host, came to greet me and told me about the house. I had everything I desired, so can not think of things I did not like.

Such a beautiful house - it felt like staying in a museum :-) It was only a short stay, but quite exceptional.

It is a lovely cottage vibe right in the centre of Kilimani. There is a pharmacy and supermarket next door so had everything I needed. A very secure property too with a gate and many locks. N/A

Tout était propre, bien entretenu, le quartier est très safe Rien !
• Céline (10/5): Wonderful stay, welcoming host and safe neighbourhood. - Adriel is a wonderful host, very kind and so much available for us and all what we have experienced. First, my flight has been cancelled and I was afraid to not make it on time for the safari tour that I have booked way earlier (not refundable at the time) and he tried many times to call them to make sure I could go to the tour as planned (while my time of arrival had changed). Even though the guide arrived at the house in the morning, very early, Adriel was up to make sure that everything would be okay. My friend also got a little bit sick the following day and he did everything he could to make sure that he was doing okay, including offering him to take him to see a doctor. The place is really clean and the beds are very comfy! We had the house for ourselves and it was just such a pleasure to get to know a place in Nairobi that is so good.

• Nathia Jeganathan-Jeyarajah (10/5): - Maison magnifique avec un jardin luxuriant. Le lieu est calme et apaisant. La chambre étaient spacieuse et disposait de tout le nécessaire. Un merci tout particulier à Adriel, Anne et Karambu pour leur accueil chaleureux. Nous y serions resté encore des semaines si on le pouvait !

• Mary (5/5): Next trip, I prefer a room with at least 2 meter of ceiling. - The location is very good I used the room with a single bed, no view, no access to the garden or terrace, the ceiling is less than 1.7meter. The shower is shared, also with very low ceiling of 1.6meter. The staircase to access the room is very steep 60 degree and no landing space, if you are carrying your luggage, you need to be very careful. The breakfast is with a few pieces of bread with some fruits, like banana and apple. Bring your shampoo and shower gel or soap, they are not available. The location is very good, 20 mins walk to Yaya Centre.

• Brandon (10/5): The home is an experience itself. - Loved this place and the hosts. It is a colonial house from 1926. Staying there is like going back to another era. Very special. Waking in the morning and sitting on the veranda with a coffee and listening to the birds, while being in the heart of Nairobi. The owners are very interesting people. Liked it so much that I returned again for two days upon my return to Nairobi.

• Werner (9/5): Superb - There are a lot of Plus! First of all the house is in a quite and safe area. Just across the road is a restaurant, a little supermarket and bakery with a real good European like bread. Everything is clean and especially the kitchen open for every guest is a good idea. Some toast, butter, marmelade, milk and coffee is available as basic breakfast but as I said nearby you get more. If you have questions Adriel is always open to help which realy is the biggest Plus! There was nothing to complain about.

• Sinfuliving (7/5): A charming gem in the middle of urban sprawl - This accommodation is centrally located and has English colonial charm amidst the sprawling urban high rises. Our room was spacious and was furnished with antiques of days gone by. The common rooms are spacious, perfect for those who want to chill, concentrate, write or read. Our hosts were gentile, gracious, and very communicative. Kiloran House is an oasis of green tranquility. What it may lack in modern amenities it makes up in charm and character. I'm glad I found this gem with such wonderful, warm hosts. The warm water heater is old-fashioned and wasn't optimally working. The American female guests that occupied the room next to ours left a MESS in the kitchen for "someone else" to clean up when they departed. I was a bit miffed when we were blamed. Breakfast items included white bread and some fruit, coffee, tea. Art Caffé is down the street for more varieties of pastries and coffees.
• Bronia (8/5): Very good - Great location, security good, quiet, 20 minute walk to YaYa shopping centre and easy to get downtown. Having the use of a kitchen was great, and a lovely balcony to sit and relax. Big shout out to host Adriel for his hospitality and assistance Nothing to dislike here as far as my expectations go
• Sinfuliving (7/5): A Charming Colonial Oasis - Kiloran House is an oasis of green with an English-style colonial manor in Nairobi. What it doesn't have in modern facilities, it makes up in charm and authenticity. You walk back in time, and enjoy the tranquility of green, lush gardens, in a fabulous location near to Karen and Lavington. We didn't make use of the kitchen but appreciated that we had access to one. Thankfully they had a large bed for my 6'2" Dutch husband. It was more chilly than we expected and could have used an extra blanket. Since we got in so late, we didn't want to disturb the owners. The warm water boiler needs some maintenance to generate warmer water. But we managed.
• Anne-kirk (8/5): Great! - The property is located in a good area and is beautifully maintained. The host is incredibly kind and accommodating! We stayed in a room in the cabin, which was nice. There was a fully equipped kitchen with fruit, bread, jam, coffee, milk, etc. provided by the property. If you have a larger group, the cabin would be perfect. The shower/tub was a bit hard to use, so just keep in mind!

• Elisabeth (10/5): Exceptional - A place with a history rooting back to the beginnings of Nairobi, everything has an angle and the wooden floor is from 1928. It is charming and unique. Everything is well kept. The garden is lush and full of life. Quite an oasis. The owners are very knowledgeable about everything we talked about and very helpful with setting up trips. They are running this place after a successful carrier in science and are the soul and heart of it. Breakfast was provided (toast, butter, a very delicious jam, fruits, milk, coffee and tea). The WiFi is working well. Very minor critique: you cannot shower standing if you need to be quick and you need to be patient to find the right water temperature.

• Simon (10/5): An oasis in Nairobi - Where do I start? In a city that might not always feel super safe, especially as a non-local, the Kiloran House offers a safe haven. In the truest meaning of the word. I have stayed in many accommodations around the world, but this is by far the most unique and homely feeling I ever had. Not only is the house itself extraordinary clean and atmospheric, and beautiful - but the owners too! Adriel and Anne made us feel like home from the very first moment. So easy going and caring and considerate, it really affected us. Our stay in Nairobi became better because of them, we are truly happy we chose Kiloran House over a standardized and faceless hotel chain. We are truly thankful for Adriel and Anne! If you want to feel Nairobi and Kenyan hospitality, then Kiloran House is for sure your choice! Location is good, easy to reach anywhere with a Bolt or Uber. The location is safe and sound too. Absolutely nothing!

• Heather (8/5): Peace and charm just minutes from the city. - Kiloran house is a lovely historical home with a peaceful, cool garden that can be overlooked from the verandah upstairs. A lovely position to have breakfast. Breakfast is simply provisioned and you prepare it yourSelf. All that is needed to start the day. The house is immaculately clean with a wonderful old English manor style.
