- david (10/5): - Good location price and friendly staff The chef was very pleasant but the English breakfast could be improved
Eggs overcooked mushrooms seem to of been deep fried which dries then up and no taste. Sausages well cooked but were burnt.
- Adam (7/5): -
- chris (9/5): -
- Mark (4/5): Would not return. - Very noisy from other rooms, tv sounds could be heard late at night, doors banging from 05:30am waking you up.
Bad smells from bathroom sink not addressed.
- Mick (9/5): - Friendly staff , big comfortable room , a good breakfast, happy to recommend and stay there again
- Keith Newton (10/5): Lovely hotel - Helpful friendly staff
Characterful hotel
Comfortable bed
Excellent breakfast
Thank you Nothing at all to complain about
- Robert (8/5): I think the hotel provided everything I needed. - I thought the staff were very helpful.
- Deighan (6/5): Great for a night or 2 - The staff were really helpful and friendly. Brilliant gluten-free breakfast each morning. The reception lent me a sewing kit when my hem came down and booked a taxi for me when i asked for one. The room i originally booked had some issues, and the manager upgraded me to a better room. Beautiful garden, my room had a garden view. This hotel has many positives, but if you are used to staying in a modern chain hotel, you are probably going to be disappointed. It's in desperate need of a refit, curtains were worn, wallpaper needs upgrading. A housekeeper needs to keep an eye on their cleaner.

- mary (9/5): Good hotel. - Good location, big rooms and good parking. Breakfast had a mix of continental and cooked. Staff were friendly. Bit confused over entrance to hotel due to signage.
- Paul (4/5): As stated above. - Breakfast was well presented and cooked , good choice. Staff were excellent, could not have been more helpful. Free taxi service to local restaurant for evening meal, splendid. We were expecting an evening meal at the hotel, it was listed in the brochure in the bedroom. So a bit disappointed , after a long journey and emotional visit to relatives, to find that we had to go out to eat. However the manager was extremely helpful.
- Patricia Christine (7/5): always happy to stay again - very good room. lovely breakfast. friendly staff.
- Mike (8/5): - Everything very good but we were disappointed that no evening meals were available. See

- shaun (8/5): - Good breakfast, cooked to order
- Gail (7/5): - Close to town centre, staff were friendly, comfortable bed, good breakfast No meals available (apart from breakfast, which was excellent) Cleaning needs to be improved, particularly in the bathroom- needs a good dose of limescale remover & a lot of scrubbing in the shower. Bathroom sink was cracked, dirty plug hole & surround. Mirror, tv & desk top dusty & grimy
- Sue (10/5): -
- Kevin (9/5): This was a sad moment for us, as we were here to attend a funeral. However we were able to make the best of the moment - Friendly clean and tidy, the room offered all the usual facilities plus it was comfortable and quiet. Good on sight car parking. There is a bar ( we never used it) breakfast offered a great choice, which was excellent.
No evening meals however staff more than happy to direct you to very good places to dine or organise a takeaway service
- Quinn (10/5): Shit - It was clean and comfortable and all around amazing The staff was absolutely terrible and horrible they accused of so much and they are bad people
- Kristina (9/5): - The room and the shower was big and comfortable. Really good shower with hot water indeed! Nice and polite staff. Wi-fi could be much better.
- Lionel (10/5): -
- hamish (8/5): I would stay again, thanks - Friendly staff, generous size room, decent shower, great breakfast. I like my steak rare and mattress like concrete, so for me the mattress was too soft, but, the blackout blinds and sensible room temperature meant I still got a good sleep.
- david (8/5): Would happily come again - We have stayed there before but did not have the breakfast but this time we were able to enjoy a very good cooked breakfast. The bar was quite reasonable after eating at a local restaurant. We found the bed quite comfortable and the shower was very good in the morning.Maybe the time of year but there was loads of free parking. We had requested a ground floor room but were upgraded to a room on the first floor which was quite a nice room but could maybe have done with a quick wipe over with a duster. It would also have been nice to have more than 2 teabags but I am sure that we could have easily asked for more if required.
- Walker (8/5): - Comfortable. Good location. Nice breakfast. Noisy wedding on downstairs. Window in room wouldn't fully close, so couldn't shut out the noise.
- Paul (9/5): Very handy for memorial service - Clean, comfortable, lovely staff Nothing

- Peter (10/5): -
- Beverly (10/5): - Good welcome very quiet
- Carol (9/5): -
- Jay (7/5): -
- Denise (7/5): - Friendly staff , clean well appointed room ..
- Yvonne (8/5): The value for money and the 2 members of staff young man on reception excellent as was the chef and the breakfast was fi - Very quiet but it was a Sunday evening Staff extremely friendly and helpful Dated
- Yvonne (8/5): Relaxing night, bar and breakfast room. - Friendly staff and nice fan in our room to cool us down after a hot day plus windows that open properly. Just be aware there's no lift but there's only one flight of stairs and we didn't book level access tbh
- Dean (5/5): Rooms dated and poor bad sleep. Brekkie was nice - Lovely building.
Very very basic rooms Bed was hard
Rooms really dated
No circulation / tiny fan
- Stevenson (8/5): Could not fault the hotel - Staff lovely, room lovely some say dated olde worldy feel but very nice, breakfast lovely very clean including bathroom can't fault it at all Location to town was very good but the town it's self has limited options not a lot going for it could only find one proper restaurant which was Italian and only did vegan food so witherspoon was really only other option not the hotels fault though
- Julia (8/5): Very good -
- Dean (8/5): Very good - Friendly management, good breakfast
- Nicholas (6/5): Pleasant -
- Mandy (6/5): Stay for Spalding Festival - The bed was comfy.
The staff were lovely.
The main room was clean but very dated. The toilet would not flush.
I ended up using the bin basket and water to flush the loo. I was only there one night and had to leave early so didn't call anyone.
The shower screen had accumulated scum at the bottom and needed replacing. lovely to look at when I had my bath!
The whole plumbing sounded poor and insufficient.
I was in room 1.
- Valerie (8/5): Overall very happy and would stay there again if we were revisiting Spalding - Excellent breakfast Biscuit crumbs left in the drawer, a bit more attention to cleaning the room. Pillow quite hard. The shower cubicle needed replacing. All over the hotel needed some money spent to refurbish, but couldn't fault the staff and would stay there again.
- Martin (9/5): Superb -
- Chris (8/5): Very good -
- Kevin (6/5): Pleasant - Location Walked around property 3 times on arrival before an open door was found, only 1 staff on duty! Decor dated, room toilet wouldn't flush.
- Steve (8/5): Very good -
- Marc (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mandy (10/5): Great value for money & excellent service - Staff was very accommodating
Very polite & courtesy Lovely location
Clean & comfy bed
Good English breakfast
- Sandra (7/5): All good apart from the thick dust - Near to town. Pleasant staff. Nice breakfast Very dusty room, ironing board, phone, top of bed surround, shelves really dusty. I got a cloth and cleaned the shelves before I could put stuff on them. Told reception and left some of it but wasn’t done the following day either
- Viktoras (10/5): Exceptional -
- Rod (9/5): Superb - We really liked this hotel, and if staying in Spalding, it's worth the 5 mins walk down the road.
There was an issue with our room, which was dealt with by the staff to our satisfaction.
It's a nice old building which has the inevitable slight defects, but we very much enjoyed our stay and will return should the need arise again.
- Dana (9/5): Superb -
- Meiklejohn (10/5): Exceptional - Friendly staff. Good breakfast. Clean room. Nothing to dislike apart from a light flashing in the ceiling.
- Adam (8/5): Very good -
- Pearson (7/5): Good - Beautiful property. Felt comfortable. The entrance, bar & hall are very elegant reminiscent of a by gone era. Lovely. Nothing
- Ronald (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were brilliant. Room very clean.
- Rupert (1/5): 2 day stay, left after 1 day......awful attitude from the owner - Owners attitude with me

- Peter (9/5): Superb -

- Peter (10/5): Exceptional - Very warm room and comfortable bed. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast. Good value for money. There was nothing to criticise.
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional - Very friendly staff reception went out of her way very good she gave same breakfast cereals for the morning as I had to start work early as I'm a lorry driver she put wrap to keep it fresh for the morning comfortably bed's I would go there again
- Mark (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sue (10/5): Lovely, toasty warm room - We stayed for one night on Saturday 9th November. We were made very welcome by the lovely lady at reception. She gave us some great ideas for where to eat in Spalding. Our room was spotless, bedsheets were clean, towels were lovely and soft and the heating was on. Room was toasty warm. We had no downsides or complaints except the breakfast. The fried egg was not runny, it was as if it had been sitting on a hotplate for a good while. Other than that it was delicious xx Thank you. We will be returning xx The fried egg
- Buchanan (7/5): Good -
- Katie (7/5): Good - Very clean, rooms very spacious Very outdated decor.
Wallpaper missing in main reception/stairway.
- Paul (9/5): Nice clean, comfortable hotel in a quiet area a short walk from the town centre. - Booked a single and was given a double at no extra cost, nice clean room. lovely comfy bed and really good breakfast cooked to order. ground floor room was close to the function room where a party was going on, hence a little noisy but bearable.
- Joanne (7/5): Good -
- Brian (8/5): Enjoyable stay excellent breakfast and lovely staff - Breakfast was excellent and staff were really friendly Poor toilet flush and sticking toilet door
- Dianne (10/5): Charming hotel with old world appeal within walking distance of the town centre. - In a nice street close to the town centre. Great breakfast and friendly staff.
- Stacey (7/5): Nice hotel made nicer by the staff! - The staff were welcoming and friendly. We had an issue with the hot water in the room, however the staff were on hand to help and even though they were unable to rectify the problem, they moved us into a different room and were hugely apologetic.
The breakfast was yummy and the staff noticed we were part of a group booking and set up a table for us all for breakfast, which was lovely. The issue with the hot water was stressful! Although it couldn't be fixed, the staff helped to find a solution.
