Guest Reviews
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Bryan (10/5): Perfect property in a perfect location. - Everything, exceptional property, better than we could ever have imagined. Nothing.
- Darren (10/5): - Very spacious, very dog friendly. Modern and clean with excellent site facilities. Small setup so not too busy/noisy. Lodges are well equipped too with everything you might need. Firestick for TV is a bonus. Several nice beaches within reasonable driving distance. Friendly and helpful staff. Would definitely go back Seating in lounge could be slightly improved? Don't be put off staying, just a personal preference. Overall, it's a fantastic place that is much better than we expected.
- Claire (10/5): - The location and how well looked after the lodges were, facilities were excellent.
- David (10/5): Great place and hosts were brilliant . - Fantastic property and easy to access Nothing
- Shaun (10/5): A wonderful chilled break. - Great location with pubs not too far away All excellent
- Michael (10/5): -

- James (8/5): Lovely quiet stay in the countryside. - This was a lovely little escape for the week. It was very well supplied, with good pans and knives for cooking etc. Very big apartment.
I have very sensitive allergies to pet hair, I reacted quite badly on the first night. The staff were very attentive and went above and beyond to hoover and even wash the sofa, which helped immensely for the rest of the week. The bed room was a bit dusty, we had to dust the surfaces down, but again that is only because my allergies are so sensitive to these things. Any other normal person, this would not have been an issue at all.

- Colgan (10/5): Looking forward to returning - Stunning, spacious and comfortable. Beautifully presented throughout and with parking. All the facilities of home and more. 10 out of 10. And communication with hosts was superb. Style, space and facilities
- Stewart (10/5): We had a very nice stay and will look forward to returning soon (Hopefully !) - Everything Nothing

- Derek (10/5): Are stay was a family celebration and we couldn’t have asked for a great place to stay and for all the family to be toge - Excellent lodges well equipped and great layouts which suited are needs Couldn’t disagree with anything.
- Deborah (10/5): - We stayed in Kingfisher Lodge. 100% perfect. Absolutely beautiful Lodge and site. Cinema room, gym and sauna were fantastic. Peaceful setting, well maintained and clean. Everything was lovely
- Tony (10/5): I would happily return, great place to meet friends and large families - Style of the property, easy parking, quality furnishings. Good utensils to cook with.
Staff were friendly and very helpful, good communication prior to arrival. Allow dogs which is also a bonus. The only thing that was a little annoying was the road noise if you were in the accommodation alongside it, this is completely out of their control and to be honest traffic is relatively light.
- Linda (9/5): Excellent accommodation and well equipped - Beautiful clean accommodation and well equipped. Easy to find
Good WiFi and TV services and plenty of parking
Helpful staff Bedroom next to a small road that was busy in the morning but didn’t really bother us
- Jayne (9/5): Fabulous! Would stay again :-) - The property is beautiful and the setting also so lovely and peaceful. Lots of lovely space for my family and our dogs Only problem we had was being inundated with flies! They were everywhere all the time which made eating inside difficult. We had to go and buy some sticky fly papers. This might be because our lodge was next to the pond. This is the only thing that spoilt it for us but we would definitely come back.
- Robert (7/5): It was a pleasant stay for a few days, - Comfy beds, Didn’t know there was stairs, the noise from the road very loud either tractors, or speeding cars, didn’t have a blind in the bathroom, and had a loose toilet seat, no where to properly change when you came out of sauna especially when your wet, took ages to work out how to get movies on, when we sorted it we didn’t have long left to watch anything as other people were due in.
- Sally (7/5): Nice as a base for a short stay. - Layout was good, well equipped. Shower cubicle was very dark, needed lighting.
Not as quiet as expected for being out in the country, the road was very busy.
- Jessica (10/5): -
- Jeannette (9/5): All the modern facilities in a relaxed, comfortable setting. - We liked that it was isolated and yet near enough to the areas we chose to visit. It felt modern, light and very spacious. It had everything we needed for our short stay, including fans as it was quite warm. We liked everything!
- Nicholas (10/5): -
- Martin (10/5): A fantastic play to stay - Very quiet, very clean, good facilities. Not far from the coast. All good
- Kathleen (10/5): Perfect Suffolk Getaway Location - Very spacious accommodation with everything thought of and included. Quiet even though there were lots of other guests around in the other lodges. Only about a 20 minute drive from Snape Maltings, Southwold and Aldeburgh, we would definitely stay here again if in the area. Nothing!
- Nicholas (10/5): High Standard Throughout - Highly recommended. Everything finished well, comfortable, done to a high standard. Good broadband too, important for working away.
Also, heaps of parking, and a super quiet corner of the county. Nothing on my 'don't like list', the guys have done a great job here.
- Pjg3103 (9/5): Lovely quality barn conversions with choice of style and number of bedrooms - Shared cinema room and a small amount of gym equipment an extra bonus that I had not realised we could use. Design of properties lovely.
Beds comfy.
Location was halfway between Southwold and Aldeburgh.
Facilities in kitchen. A shame but some of the bedrooms are next to the road which, although a country lane, was busy at rush hour. This did wake my sister up very early but understand that not much can be done about this except triple-glazing those windows.
Lights could have been brighter in the bedrooms.
- Clare (9/5): The perfect place to escape and relax - Clean peaceful and dog friendly Nothing
- David (10/5): Exceptional -
- Martin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Douglas (10/5): A lovely hidden gem - our lodge Tawny was very spacious with a big bathroom, living room/kitchen. The location is very quiet with little to no traffic noise passing. Will definitely stay there again
- Judy (8/5): Immaculate - The property was spotlessly clean, modern, peaceful, spacious, and in lovely surroundings. I would definitely come again, but would choose one of the properties with a view of the garden If I were being picky, I found the pillows a little uncomfortable and the duvet too warm, with no other alternative
- Robert (10/5): Exceptional -
- James (10/5): Great place for short or long breaks in the country and plenty to do in surrounding areas. - Nice quiet location and close to amenities nearby, use of sauna, gym and cinema room is a great bonus if the weather is bad or want to stay put. The place was great no negative things to report.
- Greer (10/5): Exceptional - We had the most wonderful stay at White House Lodges. We stayed in Drangonfly and could not have felt more at home. It was exceptional clean. The appliances and finishes were truly fantastic, and the bonus of being able to use the sauna during the cold spring mornings was amazing! I would definitely recommend a weekend stay here!
- Sam (9/5): A fantastic collection of converted barns and farmhouses, all done to a really high standard. - The sauna and cinema room were both excellent, and a great backup in case the weather isn’t complying. The lodge was a really comfy space to relax in As some have mentioned some of the rooms are quite close to a country road so you get the occasional noise of a vehicles through the night, but it’s a quite country road, so isn’t really a bother. Might be different in summer if you wanted to have the windows open.
Nowhere to hang coats in the entrance to MeadowView. A few hooks on the entrance wall would be a very easy improvement.
Could do with a bit more cutlery and mugs, although everything provided was in good condition and all from the same set (unlike the random collections you tend to get in rental cottages)
- Valloo (10/5): Would recommend. A fire pit would be a welcome addition. - Clean. Well equipped. Comfortable. Underfloor heating was a bonus. Connectivity was hit and miss but didn’t mind because it meant more communication!!
- Sarah (9/5): Superb -
- Jenny (8/5): It was a lovely place to get together with friends but we could have done without the irritations listed above. - Location, space, decor and furnishings, comfort. Cinema Room. WiFi - not working in our house, borrowed from next door, but didn’t work upstairs for TV
Oven - no working instructions, all markings rubbed off
Dishwasher- not reliable, hit and miss whether it worked
Shower valves very stiff in small e/s and bathroom
- Gemma (8/5): Very good - Lovely area and comfortable lodges Wifi and sauna didn't work the day we arrived. Both resolved the next day
- Jessica (10/5): Fab lodges, really clean, perfect location! - Really clean, lovely furnishings, super cosy and they even put up a Xmas tree for the festive period! The communal cinema room was a great touch for us and just loved the relaxed countryside location. Can’t say anything bad about it!
- Rodney (10/5): great weekend break with friends - The lodge was amazing with everything you could possibly need for a weekend break. Excellent coffee machine with pods was a nice surprise Traffic noise and flies
- Linda (10/5): Great facilities and good value to money - Lovely, well equipped apartment. Fanstastic cinema room which we made good use of. Would benefit for a blind or privacy glass at the kitchen window
- Trisha (10/5): Exceptional - Very comfortable beds, sitting outside with my morning cup of tea listening to birdsong Nothing
- Christine (8/5): A lovely weekend away with the exception of dog owners behaviour - The lodge was of a very high standard and the furnishings were good quality. The fact that dogs were allowed to poop in the communal garden although we have been told that there is some form of ‘doggy park’ being built.
The gardens were communal but it was annoying that owners could not take their dogs down to the bottom of the garden but felt it ok to allow the dogs to poop outside our door/window
- Jane (8/5): The perfect location for us to explore a new area. - An imaginative conversion with excellent facilities and very safe enclosed grounds for our dog. Nothing significant
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional -
- Christina (8/5): Great place, well equipped and very clean - Great lodge, very clean. A little close to the road, so if a light sleeper may struggle.
- Royofkent (10/5): Highly Recommend! A* - Lovely place, very spacious and had everything you needed.
- Judith (9/5): A great and comfortable place to stay - The house was so spotlessly clean and well equipped. We found it perfect For our needs and with the inclusion of a bbq and a safe and secure outside space for our dogs it was ideal. It was very remote so good planning the meals we wanted to make and a delivery from a supermarket made things easier.
Unfortunately there were lots of flies around so it was tricky to have the doors and windows open but the fans supplied did help.
The staff were especially helpful and provided everything we needed The flies and heat inside
- Matthew (9/5): A peaceful and quiet place to stay. - Spotlessly clean property with lots of character. Plenty of outside spaces.
- Tracey (10/5): Exceptional - It was perfect. Great location. Lodge was very clean and comfortable.
- Tinbark (8/5): Very enjoyable stay in lovely property with beautiful surroundings. - Attractive accommodation, both inside and outside. Lovely grounds, very secure for our dog. The girl at reception was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. Well placed to visit local attractions,to shop for provisions and for pub meals. More than 2 cups would have been nice, constantly washing them up to use again - very irritating. A mirror and dressing table needed in the bedroom, plenty of space for one. Only one bedside lamp, why not one each side of the bed, impossible to read given the very low wattage of the ceiling light. Nice bathroom but absolutely nowhere to put any toiletries hang anything.
- Michelle (9/5): Superb -
- Christina (8/5): Overall our stay was fabulous and would stay here again. - The location was excellent for us, easy to get onto the tourist routes.
Quiet, peaceful in the middle of nature.
Kitchen was fully equipped for cooking anything you fancy. Plenty of kitchen surface too!
Beautiful modern building, as were the modernly fitted out large rooms, lots of heavy Oak had been , fab! We weren’t warned about the flies! But there were fly catchers supplied by the site.
The table and chairs outside the front of our property could have been more comfortable. Sun umbrella would have been useful .
Could have done with more tea cups…only 3 provided all other crockery was plentiful ….but that’s just us being picky.
- Michael (9/5): Quiet relaxing location with excellent cavities. - Location, size, facilities
- Derek (10/5): Very good - Breakfast N/A . Location great for us . Wi-Fi or my phone signal not always good ( I’m not well up on technicalities ) so don’t know which was problem 😀.
- Weaver (10/5): Lovely place to stay in rural location, well placed to explore Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex. - A lovely spacious property with everything you could need. The facilities are to a high standard and everything was extremely clean. Nothing really, it is the second time we have been.
- Kelly (10/5): A perfect little get away - We absolutely loved our stay , The accommodation was beautiful spacious, clean and had everything we needed. The bed was the comfiest bed I'd slept in ,in a long time .The location was great ,very peaceful and near to all the places that we wanted to visit . Nothing everything was perfect ,we can't wait to stay again
- Robert (6/5): Almost perfect but let down by the flies - Location and quality of the accommodation was superb and was set in wonderful grounds, lovely open plan space and tastefully decorated and the beds were really comfortable The lodge we had was next to the pond and we were inundated with swarms of flies every time we opened any doors or windows, that particular lodge desperately needs fly screens fitted as that one aspect really put a dampner on the stay for us as we had to spend hours trying to get rid of them and in the end were forced to keep doors and windows all closed permanently
- Jane (10/5): Lovely stay. - Lovely and clean great quiet location.
Was great for our dog to.
- David (9/5): Perfect for a few days in Suffolk - Wagtail was nicely laid out, nice & clean, perfect for a few days. The location was a lovely & quiet, but in the middle of nowhere ! Had to use the car in the evening to get to the local pubs.
- Eleni (10/5): Exceptional -
- Antony (8/5): Very good -
- George (9/5): Very relaxing stay in a very well maintained complex - The staff are extremely attentive and nothing is too much trouble.
The lodges are extremely clean and well maintained. We've stayed in 2 lodges and both have been extremely airy and offer a very relaxing environment.
- Julie (9/5): Good value holiday and a lovely apartment - we will be coming back - Great facilities, spacious, well located, useful local information provided, good secure car park and very receptive, helpful staff. Good local pub restaurants in the area and lots to see. Out first apartment hadn't been processed at all after the last guest when we got there, although we were instantly upgraded to one that was by Victoria, who was very helpful and rather mortified and concerned as to what had happened to the cleaner. It didn't spoil our stay as it was all resolved within minutes. The replacement was absolutely spotless, except for under the bed which was dusty. Heating controls were difficult to work out, although hosts indicated to call to get instructions, most guests don't like to, The area as a whole isn't great for wi-fi and a q-reader is needed to get the apartment information, but once we'd overcome the initial difficulties logging into the apartment wi-fi, all was fine. The apartment key system relies on a number fob - I hope the number gets changed after every guest as otherwise, it will only be a matter of time before an observant and determined visitor gains unauthorized access.
- Carol (10/5): Lovely property, quiet location, highly recommend - Great layout, quiet location, pet friendly No heating instructions, small mugs, no dog water bowl this time (was with previous stay), no bath in any of the three bathrooms (all showers)
- Jayne (10/5): Wonderful - would definitely recommend! - Very well appointed and spotlessly clean. Finished to a high standard, beautiful and peaceful location.
- Maria (9/5): Lovely break - The lodge was very spacious, airy and well equipped.
Had underfloor heating which kept it nice and cosy.
Was very clean.
Bed was very comfortable. The lodges are located right next to a road. Although it was a country road it was very busy and there was a lot of traffic noise.
- Jason (8/5): Great stay in a lovely location. - Clean, well presented & modern
- Alexandra (8/5): Perfect weekend in the countryside - Everything! Great location, lovely property, stylish decor, comfy beds and sofa. Well stocked kitchen. Only minor issue, the fire stick was not working.
- Lucy (9/5): Superb -
- Donna (9/5): Superb -
- Robert (9/5): Good stay - Nice property well maintained Road noise
- Abdul (10/5): Excellent! - Really clean and spacious property! All facilities available.
- Claire (10/5): Really fab, location superb and the property was spacious and homely, we’ll return when visiting friends in Aldeburgh ag - Location, spec of property and extras such as the patio space and entertainment room were a lovely unexpected bonus. Hearing a little erratic - cold floors when we got there and didn’t want to have someone round in the evening we arrived but didn’t know how to alter the thermostats as the manual said not to touch. It was very cold on the first evening/night especially the bathroom floors, which was a shame but otherwise everything was lovely. The sound on BBC 1 didn’t work on the tv but there was iPlayer so no big deal.
- George (10/5): Immaculate Lodge in excellent
location - There was excellent communication with staff before arrival. They even offered the use of the cinema room for our Son.
The lodge was airy, immaculate, and had excellent facilities. The underfloor heating provided a lovely, comfortable atmosphere to stay in.
- Paul (8/5): comfortable accommodation in a lovely rural setting with good food shopping a short drive away - lovely location and nicely decorated lodges. The outdoor spaces are all beautifully maintained and will be a great amenity in the summer months The key handover was a bit rushed so issues such as heating and Wi Fi connections took some time to resolve so we got off to a bad start. The contact number given was out of date and caused unnecessary frustration
- Stephen (9/5): Superb -
- Robbie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Luke (10/5): Exceptional -
- Joseph (10/5): Nice spacious lodge, enjoy it very much - The lodge we stayed was very spacious, modern, and good quality furnished. I would give the host Rebecca more than 5 stars if I could, she was very helpful and made my stay even more enjoyable. The lodge was clean and well-maintained, with all the amenities I needed for a relaxing stay. The location was also great, with plenty of things to see and do nearby. There are 3 ponies you can see outside the window, and a nice meadow and lawn to wonder around. We also very lucky to see the meteor shower when we stay here. I would definitely recommend this accommodation to anyone looking for a comfortable and enjoyable holiday experience Our lodge is situated next to a country road, so we do hear some noise when cars drive by. However, the road doesn’t have much traffic and we found that the noise didn’t detract from our stay. In fact, we enjoyed our time at the accommodation so much that we hardly noticed it after the first day.
- Carol (10/5): Great location, fantastic spacious lodge - Great location - extra peaceful as no other guests in adjacent lodges N/A
- Ameena (10/5): Great location, beautiful lodge, perfect Christmas stay - Great place to stay for me and my mum over Christmas, location was ideal with a car though not really close to anything on foot. We didn't actually meet the host/staff but everything was communicated clearly via phone. The lodges are beautiful inside and out, really enjoyed the environment and the little decorations for the holidays were a nice cosy touch. Can't stop thinking about the kitchen! Very well stocked and the facilities worked perfectly for the huge Christmas Day dinner we made. I would have loved the views from the window to face the gorgeous landscape in the back, but that's probably a difficult ask! :)
- Antony (6/5): Pleasant -
- Dawn (8/5): Overall we had a good stay. The points above are really only a slight downside. This is a great place to stay although y - Good sized, well equipped lodge which gave a good base to travel from. Very clean. If I’m being picky then the en suite needs more light as we couldn’t use it to shower as it was too dark. The sofa in the lounge is too low and very soft, not good if you suffer with a bad back! Due to being close to the road this is quite noisy especially at night.
- Sue (9/5): Excellent 😊 - Nothing
- George (10/5): Exceptional - The staff were very accommodating. The lodge was beautifully decorated and very comfortable
- Susanne (9/5): Superb -
- John (10/5): White Horse Lodges - Modern, well appointed accommodation Nothing
- Clare (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tom (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sharon (10/5): Lovely, well appointed, comfortable property. - The whole property was absolutely lovely, extremely well equipped, beautiful property. Location was off the beaten track which we loved.
- Enrique (9/5): Superb -
- Roger (9/5): Superb - Cleanliness, facilities, equipment, size. & value for money. The shower heads, road noise & remoteness. Not safe to walk on adjacent roads!
- Steve (9/5): Superb -
- Wilkins (9/5): We all a lovely stay - The lady the looked after the property was helpful and kind. All was great.
