- Lise (5/5): Acceptable but not great. - It was in the perfect location. Close to the hospital and a lovely mall. The flat needs a deep clean. The interior is outdated and lacks the homely feel. All the curtains are dirty. Lovely wooden chairs on the balcony but there are no cushions for them so they are extremely uncomfortable. The spare room beds are uncomfortable. You can't sit at the kitchen table because the bar stools are too high.

- Rashana (7/5): Harcourt - The location was absolutely perfect. We had off street lock up parking and our host was efficient and super friendly. The beds were comfortable and the place was spacious. There was also a tv with a smart box to watch Netflix etc. I would have liked to have tea, coffee for when we arrive. There were basically no plugs for our phone charges so we had to use one for the tv media box. Extra fans besides ceiling fans would have been nice.
- Patrick (5/5): I enjoyed my stay and the property despite issues mentioned. - Breakfast was not applicable or included. Regarding the location I didn't like that the property is on the busy road. But late at night the noise of vehicles reduces and will start in the morning. Property is next to a shopping mall so you just walk, no need to drive. I liked the the space offered by the property. Old furniture. No clothing cupboard in one bedroom. In the other it's an old wood free standing cupboard. Old style locks on bedroom doors, no keys on them to be able to lock. You struggle to turn the lock knob in order to open when closed. Shower taps need some service. There's a smell inside the property which I don't find pleasant. Just give the property some good renovations and or maintenance, then it will be nice. For example, fit proper clothing cupboards, put some new furniture, identify what is the cause of the smell inside and sort it out.
- Nqobile (9/5): I it was a splendid experience to stay in, I enjoyed every second of it. The place is perfect, we enjoyed ourselves. Th - The mall is a walking distance. Safest place I’ve stayed in. Very quiet and private. Some of the rooms had dirty curtains. But it’s not so bad.

- Kennedy (8/5): Great apartment and space for a longer stay - I liked the welcome from the host, and the clear intent to be helpful and consider our needs during our stay. The apartment was spacious, clean and neat, and clean towels and bedding was great to see. Also host made a good effort to be open to communication and needs. There were weird electric quirks in the apartment. Some lights were not working well, the fans in the bedroom were interconnected with the fans and light linked the main lounge, the plug socket by the TV was finicky, which could lead to frustration for non tech people to sort out. Also the lounge curtain fell off with a simple opening motion (stopper at the end was loose) I'm nitpicking, only because I like the place, and would like it to be better for the next guest
- Rayhana (1/5): Horrible experience. The only positive was the friendly and very apologetic caretaker - I booked this place for the location, central to my needs and close to a shopping centre. The building has an old world charm and is furnished with beautiful antiques. We reached much later than expected but the caretaker didn’t mind and was very accommodating and friendly. Harcourt is a grand old lady who needs updating and cleaning. The kitchen has been renovated but that is it. The place needs sanitation and cleaning, I found lumpy beds, uncomfortable pillows, threadbare linen and towels, stained curtains and worst of all, termites in the bed. The property also has steep stairs which are difficult especially for older people. I booked for 3 nights and checked out after the first, the owner wants to charge for the very uncomfortable night we spent and has yet to refund me.

- Melanie (10/5): Amazing girls getaway - Lovely clean apartment with all the comforts of home. The host is an amazing, friendly guy, and he made us feel so welcome. Location is safe and central for where we needed to be. Would have liked small soaps and towels in the bathrooms, but it wasn't a big enough issue to complain.

There was not even a tiny cake of soap in the bathroom to wash hands or a dish cloth/towel in the kitchen to dry dishes. The photos on the booking site were not reflective of the apartment.

All facilities where present including electronic gates and alarm for the property. Full package DSTV and comfortable lounge was really well appreciated. Morne the owner was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this property and definitely like to stay here again. The single toilet door did not lock, or rather the locking mechanism did work, but the door frame allowed the locked door to slide open. This needs attention. Also, in the bedroom with two single beds, the chain for the ceiling fan is not reachable, even when standing on a chair (not safe to reach the chain that way). In humid Durban climate a working ceiling fan is a minimum requirement.

The unit was not properly cleaned, previous guests' beer top under the table in lounge, hair in the bedroom on the floor. The unit is advertised as a two-bathroom unit with two bedrooms. There is only 1 bathroom with a guest toilet, which did not work. We had to close the toilet tap to prevent water getting onto the wooden floors.
