- Jaeyjli (7/5): Mostly great, except some minor points. - Great view, very nice private in-suite bath. The room with table tennis was fun, and the room with old style matsuri games were really interesting! Dinners were good. One of the older male staff at night was rude. He assumed I can only read Chinese and abruptly flipped the info page I was reading from English (my preferred language) to the Chinese side without even asking me. I believe the same person also gave unhelpful answers later at night when I approached, including some that may be inaccurate. He was very different to everyone else who were super nice and helpful. Additionally there were a lot of kids running around and yelling, I don't think the staff can really stop them but they sometimes ruin the relaxing mood.

I asked the hotel how to get there, and the hotel told me to get off at the Izuhokkawa（伊豆北川） Station. In fact, Izuhokkawa（伊豆北川） Station is a very small station, there is no shuttle bus, there is no taxi, and there is no staff! The day we arrived it was raining and we walked on the rain road for nearly 20 minutes with two suitcases! It was really sad! Guests should be told to get off at Izuatakawa(伊豆热川） Station to take the shuttle bus.

Then walked us to our room which was an amazing ocean front room with a full private open air onsen on the balcony! They had many free activities throughout the day and the included breakfast and dinner were amazing! My husband and I came here during our very packed and busy japan trip just to relax and we would go back in a heartbeat! It gets a little harder to travel to this area if you don't have a car but we used the train and taxi's and got by just fine!

Highly recommend the room wirh private onsen overlooking the ocean!! Meals are delicious and the staff at the restaurant deserves special praise for their warm service. Only thing is dinner time was a bit too late for our usual schedule. But the staffs made the whole experience beautiful. Most likely will come back next year :)

- seiko (10/5): - We truly enjoyed our stay at Tsuruya Kisshotei. Our main interests were onsen (hot spring) and dinner; they were both wonderful, actually much better than we expected. The hotel is located in a quiet seaside community slightly tucked away from the main road. We could see and hear the ocean from our spacious room! The building is not new but maintained very well and clean. All the staff were so polite and helpful. We would highly recommend this place.

No ocean view from the "ocean view" bath 😉 Blackout curtains would be nice as the sun rose quite early (before 5am in July).

- Verified traveler (10/5): Highly recommended - Relaxing. Staffs are best in service. The room is huge and face the sea with sun rise every morning. There is private onsen room for foreigners who are not comfortable to use the public bath. The meal provided are very good, which the chef takes pride and effort to prepare. My friend is a vegetarian and they take great efforts to come up with new menu in every meal despite using limited ingredients. The presentation of the course is amazing. So book the room with meal. Highly recommended. The staffs also keep track of our needs. We were out and needed to catch the shuttle van from IZU-ATAGAWA stn, and the staff ensure we catch the shuttle van back as there is no walking access from stn to hotel. I will suggest to take the ordoriko superview exp or the black train which offer scenic view during the ride from Atami, ITO or Tokyo. JR pass covers till Atami and local train needed. Credit vouchers are given to guests for their games room. You can also redeem softserve or cotton candy. Also, a small glass of complimentary beer between 4pm to 6pm. Decor and design are old but traditional. The view, service and meal supercede everything.

- Verified traveler (8/5): のんびりできました。 - 想像よりも施設が少し古い感じがしましたが全体的には良かった。お料理も美味しかった。ただ、売りの貸切風呂の予約ができなかった。チェックイン時に予約についての説明がなく、予約しにいったときには翌日まですでにいっぱいとのこと。そこだけ少し残念です。旅館のとなりにある黒根岩風呂はとっても良かった。

- Tsugio (8/5): 半露天風呂付き部屋は広く景色も良い - 半露天風呂付きの 部屋に泊まらせていただきました。部屋はリノベーションされており 綺麗でした。 冷蔵庫無料で ビール 酎ハイ 水も十分な量でした。コーヒー豆の サービスも最高だった。 食事後 部屋に戻ると 冷酒 が 準備されていて、 気遣いに感謝 しました。 食事は 夕食は 良かったですが、 朝食 和食膳は まあ 普通の感じで ちょっと残念。楽しませていただきました。
