- John (8/5): Would definetly stay again . - The pool was great with the kids although VERY cold .
It was nice to have a restaurant on the premises . Facilities such as iron & ironing board were very old and unsafe .

- Dean (8/5): Very good -
- Nikhil (7/5): Good -
- Maleribe (8/5): Very good - The villa was great, very quiet and peaceful. But very far from Ubud center. Gojek and Grab doesn't work around here and the villa changes 5times the price of Grab. There was no electricity on my first night, I couldn't bath. And the stuff didn't even bother letting me know upon arrival. T
hey didn't make mean to provide hot water😩😩
- Lu (1/5): Bad -
- Steven (8/5): Very good -
- Lesele (10/5): Best villa stay in Ubud. - The staff's competency, friendliness, and professionalism. The food selection could be wider for international visitors.
- Dream694551 (2/5): Poor, unclean, tired villas. - Aesthetically looks pleasing to the eye on first impressions. But unfortunately the stay was not a pleasant experience. The location is beautiful and has great potential. Stayed in a two bedroom pool villa. The bathrooms are very tired, mould and the units have serious ant problems! The safe would not lock, so each time management had to help, they say they would fix, but never happened. Unable to use safe. bedrooms had severe ants, ants in beds, insects everywhere. Linen did not look fresh, mould on curtains with an army of ants tucked behind. An awful lot of broken tiles within the pool, very dangerous for younger guests. My daughter walked on outside decking and her foot fell through a rotten part. We reported all issues immediately. Whilst the staff smiled and apologised profusely nothing got resolved apart from the staff returning with a can of ant spray!! They sprayed my daughters bed with ant spray, this covered her only teddy that she sleeps with! I had to request for the linen to then be changed..but three hours later, still waiting! Broken rotten decking everywhere. The outdoor seating chairs have mildew on where people have sat in wet swim wear. Nothing feels clean!
If you like ants, this is the place for you. Very disappointing as advertised as four star! This definitely isn’t a four star. Ants should not be in your bed despite being in the jungle! Average food for dinner. Breakfast poor.
- Dianne (10/5): Great - Staff were very friendly and the romantic dinner organised by Widiya for my parent’s birthday was perfect. Thank you
- Stella (6/5): Okay - It is pretty but not worth the money. Probably good for a family but I don’t recommend it if you are young. It is so far away from everything and the food at the restaurant is not good. Be prepared to wait ages for a grab or gojek as they don’t really come around this area or pay for an expensive taxi from the hotel.
- Ambar (6/5): Good but wouldn’t stay again - Food was very average and expensive. Staff were very intense at watching you but very slow table service. No comfortable seating in the villas. Hard to get taxi or gojek. Yoga had to be paid for which is silly seeing as how much you spend on accomodation. No hot water for two days. Wifi very bad.
- Andrew (8/5): Duan Lebar is excellent value for money. - The villa rooms are amazing, with an open living area, private pool, and spacious bathroom. Breakfast is not extensive, but fine. The location suited our needs perfectly, but if you want to be near the action, this is not the place for you. There was a smell in the bathroom. The young wait staff in the restaurant are friendly, but their English is very basic. They tend to congregate at the drink counter instead of seeing if the customers need anything. There was no ability to exchange or obtain local currency.
- V2900RCbethanyh (8/5): Beautiful location, friendly staff - We booked lots of rooms for our wedding of 35 people to stay. The service was great, the new buildings across the rice field with the swim up bar will have an amazing atmosphere when its finished. Rooms were a little run down and needed better cleaning but overall werent too bad. The new side of Daun Lebar was beautiful though! It was north of Ubud so hard to find close places to eat, villa restaurant food was good/okay. Villa decking needs fixing - a bit dangerous.
- Ardi (8/5): Very good -
- Jake (7/5): Good -
- Zairianti (8/5): the right choice for honeymoon or relaxing - I like almost all the things/facilities provided in this villa. Polite receptionist, fairly large and clean rooms, swimming pool, atmosphere, food, wifi, etc It's a bit far to find places to eat/restaurants outside the location
- Pita (10/5): Exceptional - Very nice, perfect for family
- causaw (2/5): Cant find online driver - Never come to this far away villa
We cant find any grabike, gojek, gocar and any online
You should take their hotel car and charge you double price
And nothing much to see here
You can get more nice view and price in other ubud area
If you really want enjoy place , find nearby ubud center
- Shazrin (10/5): Exceptional - Quiet and peaceful location -
- Hafiz (2/5): Bad air-conditioning. - Nice villa with beautiful scenic area Stayed in 108 Pala villa. Expect to have good air-conditioned when you are staying in hot country like Bali. Called front desk many times to fix the aircond, they sent technician twice, still not able to fix the aircond, technician said that the hotel staff will contact us for further action. Waited few hours didnt get any calls from hotel, thus decide to call again the front desk. They said still waiting for the manager answer. No answer till we all check out. And no single apologies from the hotel staff @ manager. Our aircond was put on 18degree with max fan, but the temperature is like 26degree with slow fan until morning.
- PI3000 (4/5): Pool & Service Need Improvement - It is a great product in great location, but maintenance and service need improvement. The pool water is murky (not clear at all). We stayed in 2 Bedroom Villa, but there were only 2 glasses/mugs in pantry (so I had to use a glass in the bathroom), no tea bag, no tea-spoon, only a jar of coffee which seemed not being refilled from previous guests. There was no tissue in tissue box. The liquid soap were nearly finished in both bathrooms. The service of receptionist was slow, the staffs didnt seem to have motivation to serve us. I really wish they can improve their services, as I really like the product and would like to go again. But not with this kind of service!
- Respito (10/5): Exceptional -
- Mirah (10/5): Exceptional -
- Abdulrauof (8/5): Nice place for couples and family to escape the rush of the life - Peaceful place to clear your mind and soul The unit was a little bit not clean and the gecko was disturbing
- Putu (9/5): Superb -
- David (7/5): Good - Bed was very comfortable. Shower was excellent. Staff were amazing!! Ants in our room. Stains on walls. Food was very poor
- Fatmanur (5/5): Passable -
- Gusti (6/5): Pleasant -
- Marmer (9/5): Superb -
- Peace (8/5): For unwinding? Definitely worth it - Tranquil and clean Location only.
- Robbi (10/5): Exceptional -
- Fiona (10/5): Exceptional - The villa was beautiful Limited food and drink
- Ahmed (10/5): Exceptional - I liked everything abt this place its a gate away from the city for few days. Staff were so friendly food was amazing esp the floating breakfast... Nothing
- Anonymous (8/5): ZEN, PEACE, SERENITY, FAMILY, COMMUNITY.. overall everything I needed. - I loved the staff, they were so nice & super attentive. The most friendly & accommodating hotel staff I have come across in my history of traveling. I wish I could have brought them back to America just to feel there good vibes everyday lol. I also loved how spacious the villas are, how secluded and quite the atmosphere was — believe it or not, I enjoyed the sounds of the animals every morning. The property is exactly what I need, peace and zen. There was a ton of ants in my villa, I do understand that it’s located in the jungle & thats almost uncontrollable but I didn’t mind them in my villa however, on my bed & in my room was what I didn’t like. When I notified the staff they provided ant spray & that actually helped a lot. I also didn’t like the location for only one reason, the taxis come to the front desk when you call them & you have to walk all the way down along unpaved “road” to get to the front desk & at night that can be super scary because there’s no lights. I wish the hotel address was linked to where the villas actually are, this would make pickups/drop offs easier — or a safer, smoother road with lights to walk down to the front desk.
- Jessey (7/5): Good - Very quiet place and helpful staff. Very far from town
- Alldy (9/5): Superb -
- Bambang (10/5): Great place to healing - Nice villa n view
- Chafikcharbaji (8/5): Very good - The location was amazing for serenity and some isolation Food was average, outside of the rooms needed cleaning.
Hotel taxi was extremely expensive
- April (10/5): Exceptional -
- Muhd (9/5): Superb -
- Codie (10/5): Exceptional -
- Sandiery (6/5): Pleasant - It was calm and relatively secluded. Good place to choose if you want to be away from the hustle and bustle. There were several minor annoyances like the water heater being undersized for the room and running out of hot water before even filing a third of the tub. As for the other things, the staff was very responsive in handling them.
- Lily (8/5): Relaxed Ubud getaway - Beautiful light interior and surrounding of rice fields. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but bali traffic, 4.1km can take 1.5hr.
- Imran (8/5): Great stay would recommend - Great location and staff were helpful especially Easter! Very clean and comfortable . Villa was well kept and beautiful. Perfect stay Pool was cold as no direct sunlight so maybe could do with a heater.
- Azuan (7/5): Good - Design and ambiance Location
- Anita (8/5): Very good - Amazing staff. A+++++ I can't say enough about how lovely they were during our stay.
Son was sick, got great advice about the hospital and then staff turned up in our villa with food for him to try and a get well soon card.
My birthday and staff arrived with a cake and card signed by all staff for me. Housekeeping was a little lacking in some areas.
- Stephanie (5/5): Passable - Staff were friendly The villa was not the cleanest
- Praveen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Ahmad (8/5): Very good -
- Praveen (10/5): Exceptional -
- Deep (7/5): Average stay - Property is good and stay was also good, if you are searching for a good atmosphere then you must stay here. We booked a three bedroom villa but there is only 1 single master bedroom with a double bed and the other 2 bedrooms are with a single bed. So all bedrooms are not the same. They provided kitchen in villa but there is only fridge and electric kettle means no meaning of kitchen.
- Rayan (7/5): It was good. But I would not go stay there again. - The staff were very nice. The nature around the place is beautiful. They do not change bed sheets. They just flip them over. The pool was broken down for three days. Construction noise in the villas will wake you up the morning. Very difficult to get taxi because the location is very remote. And when get a taxi it’s very expensive.
- Alethea (8/5): Quiet and serene villa stay at the outskirt of Ubud - Everything was perfect. The service was really good, the staff were courteous and friendly. Food could be better, lots more room for improvement
- Morris (10/5): Great place to chill great staff hour and half from airport so leave plenty of time to return to air - We called it the bali bingo breakfast every thing was lovely just language barrier sometimes so if you like tea with milk ask for sou sou very friendly staff could not try to help more then they did I would definitely visit again
- Johannes (8/5): Very good -
- J5655BIdebrab (8/5): Comfortable and pleasant stay - Had a very pleasant one week stay here. My bed was extremely comfortable and my bedroom and bathroom were clean and spacious. Staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful. Most activities had been cancelled since covid - not sure why they hadn't been reinstated but this needs to happen. Food was fine but could do with more vegetarian options. Villa kitchen area needed to be stocked with cutlery and crockery as none when we arrived. The villas are great value for money and we enjoyed our stay very much.
- Agus (8/5): Very good -
- Wira (10/5): Exceptional -
- Bhavani (10/5): Noce and quiet place. Will definitely go again! - Awesome and cool place.. All the staffs were friendly and fast.. Location is a bit deep in. No shops nearby..
- Juniper64 (4/5): Needs a serious rethink - This is in a fantastic location, in a lovely valley area north of Ubud (approx 30 mins to the centre.)
However, the property has undergone a change in management ond perhaps ownership. The glossy website is deceptive - it was pre-pandemic, and most of the things listed there are not available any more.
There's no proper resort manager, so the place is left in the hands of a young and inexperienced crew of staff. All enquiries (via any medium!) will remain unanswered. There is a serious plumbing problem in some villas that leads to an unpleasant smell in the bathrooms. (This is not a one-off, as other friends reported the same thing.) The food is basic and not outstanding.
There are two 5-star (hence more expensive) resorts within walking distance: Nandini and Hanging Gardens. If you really want to stay in the area, these might be a better option.
Daun Lebar has potential, as physically the villas are not bad - but proper management and more senior staff need to be added.
- Rajpal (10/5): Exceptional -
- Aphisit (10/5): Exceptional -
- Benjamin (10/5): Exceptional -
- Livia (9/5): Superb - The villa is beautiful, though it is pretty hard to reach.
- Alyssa (9/5): Superb - The villa was very clean and the environment was serene and relaxing! The staff were very helpful and ensured that we were comfortable.
- Patel (9/5): Superb -
- Jared (5/5): Passable - Friendly staff The food, not very clean (cushions of chairs, toilets etc.) Alot of ants sometimes in the bed.
- Johan (7/5): Good - Location is good if you want to stay in the villa the whole time. Quiet place due to its remoteness.
Good size pool and villas.
Friendly team! Breakfast gets repetitive after 3 days. Should have a few more options.
Provide shuttle options as too far from literally anywhere - no food options...
- Chun (10/5): Exceptional - Things are perfect. The rooms are nice and clean. The food at the restaurant is surprisingly good. On the downside, lacking of activities to do. Better to have a vehicle yourself to drive out.
- Ellsa (8/5): Very good - room and amenities, clean location
- Maulana (10/5): Exceptional -
- Elizabeth (7/5): Lovely place, great for a couple's retreat or friends travelling together - The place is lovely. It looks little different to the photos. I think a lot of places in Bali are taking some time to bounce back from CoVid. Was a nice place to chill. It was difficult to order at the restaurant. There is an app but the manager needs to enter a PIN, so you can't just do it at your own pace, it seemed overly complicated.
The place seemed as though it was lacking something, I think it's just due to Bali bouncing back from CoVid. I thought it was overpriced for what is was, but in saying that, I was travelling on my own so I had no one to split costs with.
- Truc (9/5): great stay, will definitely come back again - the peaceful vibe plus great swimming pool location is a bit hard to access
- Rosnalia (8/5): Very good -
- Renchi (7/5): well countryside wild villa experience - private villa very nice to share with whole family first as rain a lot every mats are humid and a little muddy on the wood and grass yard
- Jacky (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tejinderpal (9/5): staff is great... love the service....friendly and welcoming -
- Amirah (9/5): I simply love the villa. - The serenity, the landscape, the food, the people and the staff. the insects
- Tjoen (9/5): Superb -
- Sarah (8/5): Very good -
- Verified traveler (6/5): -
- ayuariw (8/5): Lovely stay - A loving and humbling experience. Stay here for one night. Rom was spacious and comfortable. The Check-in experience was excellent, Mr. Sara greeted us with his warm welcome, he accommodate us in every single details of the room facilities and Villa. And Swasti helps me for organizing my trip. And the housekeeping staff made us swan towels with flowers.
Thank you to all the staffs for making this trip and stay so memorable.
Keep it up.
- Dwipariana (8/5): Weekend on vacation - Thank you for have a great stay, good villa in ubud, comfortable place, away from the crowd, friendly staff, fast response and maximum service, but there is a little problem in the private pool, the long chair is dirty. Over all is good, We will be back for more stay.
- taylajh (10/5): Perfect Getaway! - This place is so beautiful! It’s so quiet, tranquil and it’s the perfect getaway. The staff are so friendly and their service is impeccable. The free daily shuttle ride to the city is fantastic and the drivers are always great! We loved this place and definitely want to come back.
- ishodisho (10/5): MUST VISIT - From the minute you arrive you are at total peace at Daun Lebar. The villas and surrounds are lush and picturesque. Everywhere you look is beautiful greenery and nature. The villa itself was IMMACULATE, not a spot of dirt or dust anywhere. Beyond the cleanliness the villa was beautiful, very new with a great outdoor area- also very green and lush by the pool. The food was AMAZING! We were lucky enough to experience head chef Edna's traditional megibung dinner which was served to us in our room. The staff at Daun Lebar were so warm, welcoming and professional, it was a pleasure talking with them each chance we got. They were also very helpful and wanted to ensure we had the best experience possible at Daun Lebar- it was clear they took great pride in their work and enjoyed working with one another. Our complimentary massage was exceptional. The space opens up to a green field and whilst having the massage all your senses are consumed by nature as you can smell/hear and feel it all around you. Although not in central Ubud a daily courtesy bus to Ubud is provided however we opted to spend our time indulging in the total serenity offered at the villa. It seemed a waste to leave even for a minute. We will be back!
- kikiiscanbali85 (10/5): Mr - my experience of staying at @daunlebarvilla on 10 feb 2020
when I entered, it was served with a nice view of rice fields and a very friendly with the poeples.
when parking the motorbike is welcomed with friendly security and entering the lobby to check in is welcomed with a warm front office and very unique lobby and healthy welcome drink.
the concept of the villa is the leaves, where when I enter many leaves everywhere and many plants and leaves decorate the inside and outside areas of the villa.
villa with one bedroom private pool, the villa is very large and nice and very unique with the concept of the leaves and private pool villa. Very large room with private pool and bathtub and also a very warm living room facing the pool area and leafy plants which warm and beautify the villa.
I order dinner at 7 pm. where my order came according to the order hours and I ordered menu dinner was an international standard and very satisfying service.it feels very international standard.
and also very suitable for couples who will be honeymoon or couples who celebrate the wedding day and anniversary
breakfast in the morning is served with an alacard menu and there is a portion of the buffet menu. the breakfast menu that is served is of international standard and arouses our appetite to eat and finish it, because it tastes very good.
the spa is very nice with view of rice fields. when i do an hour and a half balinese massage with scrubs, the atmosphere is very calm and the sound of the wind and nature that makes calm and treatment is very good and relax.
Position of @daunlebarvilla in the ubud area (payangan) and is perfect for couples who will celebrate their anniversary or marriage and also for families who are looking for private pool villas and a different atmosphere and international service standards, be it the service, unique villas according to the concept and dining very extraordinary.
for me if you are looking for a private pool villa with one, two or three private pool villas, @daunlebarvilla is a high recommendation with the concept of the villa and international service standards.
Thanks a lot @daunlebarubud for good service
Best regards,
Kiki antonius
- mica7675 (10/5): Amazing location to relax! A quiet place to stay! - I really enjoy the stay was calm and surrounded by nature! The staff was extremely helpfull and kind. Down side: is far from everything (but if you want to go anywhere you can book a car in the reception, they would take you to the center of Ubud, or actually anywhere; Upside: quiet, relaxing, the villa is big with a beautiful private pool, you can so nature trakking, see the local people!
- VigneshBalan (8/5): Beautiful villas in a calm surrounding - Well maintained pool villas in middle of agricultural land make it a good choice of stay in North Bali. Given the traffic jams and chaos in the main tourist place, we did those day trip to them and back to a peaceful evening/night sleep. The staffs are super friendly. This was not our first choice but was stood up by another famous property in the neighborhood and we are glad we made the choice to stay here.
- VinaTraveler (10/5): Our Second Visit was even more Amazing! - My friend and I booked once again here at Daun Lebar Villas and second stay at 2-Bedroom Villa in Daun Lebar Villas was even more amazing this time!
The moment we arrived, the staff greeted us warmly. They offered us welcome drinks and cold towel for refreshing up. And, only after 10 minutes, we were already escorted to our 2-Bedroom Villa.
Again, our stay was even better. The 2-Bedroom Villa was still spotlessly clean as I remember the last time. The 2-Bedroom Villa was really spacious, One master bedroom comes with en-suite shower with bath tub and one room comes with en-suite shower only. We have stayed here for 5 days 4 nights - so, we had daily replenishment of coffee & tea, daily cleaning service including the pool.
The breakfast here is always good! You can good choices of breakfast - from Nasi Goreng to American or Western Breakfast to Pancakes! I really love the big breakfast option that comes with bagel, scrambled egg, mushroom, bacon, sausages, - with pastry and fruits. All taste good!
During our stay, we didn't miss out to try their one-hour Balinese Massage and it was very nice! I actually fell asleep because of it's good massage. And, their free Shuttle bus to-from-Ubud area was really a good service. There's just only two (2) different times per day - but it's already considerable.
For 3rd time? definitely will stay here again because it's so worth it!
