Guest Reviews

Rien

L'emplacement idéal.
La qualité des mets au restaurant. RAS
- Maria (10/5): A cozy, welcoming stay in a peaceful forest setting with excellent food, easy access from Geneva, and great value skiing - Guesthouse du Grand Paradis is a wonderful place to stay. The location is extremely convenient: arriving from Geneva by train was very easy (just two train changes), and once in Champéry you can take the free local bus almost all the way to the guesthouse. From the bus stop, it’s only about a 3-minute walk.
The guesthouse is beautifully located in a quiet, charming forest setting, with snow and trees all around—very peaceful and cozy. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and friendly.
The restaurant downstairs deserves a special mention: truly authentic, home-style dishes, very warm and comforting. Easily 5/5 for the food and ambiance. It really adds to the feeling of being taken care of.
The room was practical and comfortable. The bathroom was outside the room, but it was directly across the hall and not inconvenient at all. All the guests were respectful and friendly, which made the stay even more pleasant.
I came primarily to ski. Even though snow was limited during my stay, access to skiing was still good. With better snow conditions, you can ski almost directly from the guesthouse to the Grand Paradis chairlift. Once on the lift, the skiing is excellent and connects to an enormous area—about 600 km of slopes.
Overall, this is a great value option compared to much more expensive resorts, without sacrificing quality or atmosphere. Excellent location, great food, welcoming hosts, and a cozy alpine feel. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it. Nothing
- Anastasia (10/5): - Bon accueil personnel chaleureux

- Hugo (8/5): Gehe gerne wieder hin. - wir wurden freundliche empfangen. Sehr familiäre Atmosphäre (es sind 3 Generationen).
- Andrew (8/5): Amazing place with amazing views - Location is perfect! Would be great if they had a sauna and Jacuzzi to finish the days skiing
- Louis (8/5): Very good -
- Neil (8/5): all boxes ticked for our 3 days of eat, sleep, ski, dinner, drinks repeat - Location was spot on for us, ski out was a short walk across the car park, skis on then gentle minute run to chair lift. Ski in is a long meandering run from top to bottom. Nothing really. Staff were very welcoming and food and drinks spot on.
- Peter (9/5): Amazing guesthouse - Amazing guesthouse on the end of the grand paradis piste. The owner is a friendly canadian couple, the staff is wonderful especially the regular crew (the cook, Rommely) thank you for making our yearly wintersport! N/A
- Julia (9/5): Superb - Very good restaurant. Great location. Nice people.
- Philippe (2/5): - Excellente
- Jeanne (10/5): Exceptional - Lovely decor, great staff and wonderful meals. Nothing
- Mason (10/5): Exceptional - Kelly and David and the other staff we so welcoming. Breakfast and dinner were delicious, especially the new ice cream menu. Its a gem in a remote corner of Switzerland, with superb access to hiking trails. Can’t think of a thing.
- Stefano (9/5): Superb - The location is quite amazing. Surrounded by mountains and very quiet. At this time of the year, there were a lot of flies. As soon as you opened a window, multiple flies were getting into the room.
- Antonio (10/5): Tolles Abenteuer für Kinder - Toller Aufenthalt für die Familie im "Zirkuswagen". Die Kinder liebten es.
- Maria (7/5): Good - cute place- lovely located next to the piste- ski in and out and quiet area. We stayed in the caravans outside but they were super cold and not isolated. bed is also very small 1.40 so take that into account. Also breakfast was expensive, even for Swiss standards (30 Pp)- for that I would expect more choice
- Hameed (7/5): Good -
- Svetlana (8/5): Very good -
- Ben (9/5): Superb -
- Suenje (9/5): Superb -
- Rani (10/5): Comfortable stay, friendly staff, amazing location. Excellent -
- Xuan Mai (10/5): Why stay anywhere else?! - I brought three friends from the US for a hut to hut trip in the Dents du Midi and this was our starting point, The Auberge du Grand Paradis had recently been taken over by Kelly and her husband and they are doing a phenomenal job bringing this property back : the facilities are newly renovated and quaint, a typical Swiss chalet with the wonderful smell of wood all around, super clean, in the typical Swiss fashion. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom located in the hallway, not directly in the room, just like any home would be. It truly felt like staying over a friend's house, especially with how friendly the staff and Kelly is. The restaurant has authentic food, with mushrooms picked from the local mountainside. It is located up the road from downtown Champèry ( we walked there in ~ 20 minutes most people drive) and conveniently at the base of the main trailhead. Highly recommended, don't look for any other place if your goal is to have a comfortable place to rest as you prep for your mountain adventures (on foot, horses, or bikes!)
