• Tally (10/5): The town of Matera is magically beautiful. The pride and generousity of the town people is very much - After help from Aldo, with parking, everyt was fabulous!! The breakfast, Rosa and Aldo was amazingly gorgeous and delicious! Location was absolutely perfect. Definitely very kind hosts. We recommend this to anyone staying in Matera. Pls review where to park and when. We were very confused on the parking. We knew not to park at BnB , but not able to read Italian, I made a confusing situation. Aldo ki ndly and gently helped us!!! • Marcel (9/5): Onvergetelijk indrukwekkend verblijf - Ideaal gelegen in unieke historische Matera. Authentiek ingericht en comfortabel ingericht appartement, met super aardige verhuurders. Ontbijt kon beter qua koffie, kaas en eieren (waren er niet).
• Claudia (10/5): Magisch! - De hele setting was gewoon geweldig en het appartement ligt op een toplocatie midden in de sassi. De eigenaars zijn ontzettend lieve mensen en zijn heel behulpzaam. Het ontbijt was heerlijk, zoveel keuze! Wij hebben de auto buiten de sassi geparkeerd en Aldo heeft ons opgehaald en teruggebracht. Super! Echt een aanrader als je naar Matera gaat! Naast het balkon vol mooie bloemen en planten zat een nestkast voor de torenvalk. Heel bijzonder om die van dichtbij te zien. Al met al een dikke 10 van ons. Niks!

• Helen (9/5): Really delightful hosts who could not do enough for us. - The location was excellent - very near all things of interest. Had all the amenities we needed for a comfortable stay. The hosts, although they spoke very little English, were very helpful and so kind. We found it tricky coming downstairs during the night to reach the bathroom even though there was good lighting as that woke up the other partner.
• Susanne (10/5): Einfach unvergesslich - Die Unterkunft im Herzen der Stadt Matera ist perfekt um von hier aus die Stadt und die nähere Umgebung mit den Felsenkirchen zu erkunden. Unser großzügiges Appartment war auf zwei Ebenen (Schlafbereich oben), das Bett war sehr bequem, Es gab eine kleine Küchenzeile und sogar eine Waschmaschine im großzügigen Badezimmer. Das Frühstück liess keine Wünsche offen. Von Italienischen Käsespezialitäten bis zu hausgemachtem Kuchen und Obst war alles geboten. Wir haben zwei Nächte in Matera verbracht und hatten eine unvergessliche Zeit bei Aldo und Rosa. Ihr Freundlichkeit und Gastfreundschaft haben unser Herz berührt. Nicht zu vergessen natürlich, daß Aldo uns von einem gut erreichbaren Parkhaus abgeholt und zur Unterkunft gefahren hat. Gar nichts.

Desayuno abundante, ubicación mas q excelente y atención personalizada por Aldo y Rosa. El lugar para alojar si visitas Matera. Y si llegas en auto Aldo te va a buscar y te indica donde dejar el auto. Una experiencia unica en Matera!!! Ah y la pastafrola de Rosa una delicia!!! Nada, todo mas que excelente!!

• Holger (9/5): Etwas spezielle Einrichtung, Gastgeber sehr herzlich und hilfsbereit - Wenn man in der Sassi von Matera eine Unterkunft sucht und kein Vermögen ausgeben möchte, ist man bei Sax Barisano genau richtig. Der Gastgeber Aldo bewirtschaftet eine mit original Sassi-Möbeln ausgestattete Unterkunft mitten in der Sassi. Über Kleinigkeiten schaut man bei dieser authentischer Unterkunft gern hinweg. Das Frühstück würde ich als betreutes Frühstück bezeichnen, bei dem so ungefähr alle Spezialitäten der Region, darunter 3 verschieden frische Fior di Latte (Mozarellas in verschiedenen Reifestufen) sehr liebevoll und persönlich von Aldo's Familie aufgefahren wurden. Das Bad war sehr modern und gehörte eindeutig zu den besseren Bädern auf unserer Italienreise. Wenn jemand mal eine gute Tat vollbringen möchte, sollte er einen 10er Pack LED-Leuchtmittel mit gleicher Lichtfarbe mitbringen, um den Wildwuchs verschiedenster Beleuchtungen in der Wohnung zu beseitigen.

Ogni oggetto dell'accogliente stanza con soppalco aveva una storia da raccontare, la sua gentilezza ha fatto il resto. Letto comodissimo, bagno impeccabile. Frigoriferino gia' ben fornito.

Unser Frühstück war super, Vielfalt und Qualität der Speisen, das Ambiente und die Atmosphäre der sehr liebenswürdigen Gastgeber. Das Apartment war sehr sauber und hochwertig ausgestattet, z.B. mit Einbauschränken. Die Krönung ist der große, üppig bepflanzte Balkon mit Blick auf die Kathedrale. • Andreja (10/5): - Vse kar so opisali drugi je bilo res. Bili smo navdušeni. Že v začetku nas je prišel iskat prijazen gospod in nas odpeljal do hotela, kjer smo prejeli prečudovit, čist apartma. Apartma je bil zares izjemen. Imel je vse od štedilnika, hladilnika, mikrovalovne pečice, kavomata, štirih postelj pa do prečudovite kopalnice z velikim tušom. Zajtrk je bil izjemen. Dobili smo foccacho, svež kruh, domačo pecivo, meso, sire ( mocarelo buffalo, ricotto, strachatelo), pestro izbiro marmelad in namazov ter melono. Zares bi pohvalili tudi odlično kavo in celotno izkušnjo. Zagotovo se še vračamo. Nič vse je bilo odlično (10/10)

• Annelaure et Bernard (10/5): Séjour mémorable dans le cœur historique de Matera chez Aldo et Rosa - Tout d’abord les hôtes (Aldo et Rosa) sont des personnes incroyablement attentionnées, réactifs, prévenants, arrangeants et grâce à eux on passe un séjour comme si l’on faisait partie de la famille. Le logement correspondait parfaitement à nos attentes, localisation idéale au cœur du village historique avec une vue depuis la terrasse incroyable ! L’intérieur très confortable (tbien équipé) dans un appartement typique, on s’y sent à l’aise ! Le petit déjeuner… un vrai regal ! Fromages fruits / légumes frais charcuterie gâteau maison… très qualitatif et s’est l’occasion de tous se retrouver autour d’une grande table familiale avec nos hôtes et les autres clients. • Sabrina (10/5): Absolute Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Wir haben uns wie Zuhause gefühlt. - Die Unterkunft war super gelegen, total gemütlich, sehr sauber und hat einen Balkon mit einer tollen Aussicht!! Beherbergt wird man durch ein sehr herzliches älteres Ehepaar. Die beiden kümmerten sich herzlichst um uns und zauberten jeden Morgen ein tolles und leckeres Frühstück für uns!! Unser Sohn hat sich ebenso total wohlgefühlt, als wäre er bei Oma und Opa zuhause 🥰. Was ich auch super fand, ist dass der Kühlschrank voll gefüllt mit Wasserflaschen war. Wir kamen spät an und mussten nicht extra einen Supermarkt aufsuchen. Wenn ich nochmal wiederkomme, dann komme ich wieder in diese Unterkunft 😊!! Danke für eure herzliche Gastfreundschaft!! Our room was cozy with a spacious bathroom. The breakfast was the best we had in Italy! Try everything at breakfast. The place is convenient to everywhere in Sassi.

Il terrazzino pieno di piante e fiori con vista sui Sassi e' meraviglioso. Abbiamo apprezzato moltissimo l’ospitalità di Aldo e Rosa, che hanno condiviso con noi storie della loro famiglia e ci hanno preparato una colazione straordinaria, con tutto ciò che si può desiderare, tutto freschissimo (inclusa una crostata fatta da Rosa). Il caffè preparato dal loro nipote era ottimo. Aldo, sentendo che mio figlio ama le arance, gli ha portato una grande quantità di arance, anche da portare in appartamento. Inoltre, è stato molto gentile venendoci a prendere e riaccompagnandoci con il suo furgoncino fino a una zona dove si può parcheggiare gratuitamente fuori dai Sassi. La posizione nei Sassi, e vicino a molti buoni ristoranti, era perfetta.

Le petit déjeuner est hors catégorie: grande diversité et produits frais et délicieux! La circulation dans les Sassi étant limitée, Aldo propose de faire la navette si nécessaire: ce qui fut notre cas pour rejoindre la voiture laissée au Parking. Aldo odebrał nas autem z pociągu i po pobycie odwiózł na stację. Doskonałe śniadanie serwowane przez włoską rodzinę, niesamowity klimat. Wygodne łóżka, czyściutko. Trochę strach polecać, bo jeszcze przy okazji następnej podróży do Matery będzie zajęte ;) :P Wszystko nam się podobało.

Solo due parole: tutto perfetto!!! Aldo e Rosa, i proprietari, sono delle persone eccezionali. Aldo è venuto a prenderci alla stazione dei bus e ci ha riportate (cosa non scontata). La colazione ottima e abbondante, la stanza pulita e accogliente. Aldo ci ha anche consigliato il sig. Liborio come guida e lo consigliamo anche noi: ci ha fatto andare indietro nel tempo con la sua narrazione. Che dire: io lo consiglio vivamente

They treated us with a tasty breakfast with homemade cherry pie, frittata etc They made sure we had vegetarian food and had a variety of the local cheese for us to try. His grandson- Gabriel was also very helpful serving us breakfast. Aldo helped us park the car and brough us in his car to the Sassi. The place is amazing, great views, couls walk all around the sassi. Nothing.

• MARTA (10/5): - Wspaniały apartament w samym centrum Sasi. Gospodarz powiedział gdzie zaparkować i zawiózł nas do apartamentu. Poradził gdzie zjeść i co zobaczyć. Śniadanie przeszło nasze oczekiwania. Bardzo dziękujemy i następnym razem z pewnością tu zanocujemy.
• Paweł (10/5): - Lokalizacja w samym centrum starego miasta. Bardzo klimatyczne mieszkanie, czułem się jak bym był w skansenie. Ale wszystko nowe po remoncie i bardzo czyste. Cudowni, ciepli i bardzo sympatyczni właściciele. Dbali o nasze brzuchy jak nasi dziadkowie:)

• Marcin (10/5): - Obiekt położony w sercu Sassi Barisano (z tarasu naszego apartamentu był piękny widok na Duomo) gospodarze serdeczni, chętni do pomocy - Pan Aldo odebrał nas spod garażu, a w dniu wyjazdu odstawił nas z powrotem, opowiedział nam też jak zwiedzać Sassi. Przepyszne, autentyczne śniadanie; w naszej ocenie chyba najlepsze, jakie jedliśmy we Włoszech Wszystko nam się podobało
• esther (9/5): Miraba por la ventana y creía estar en un sueño - Hacía tiempo que quería ir a Matera y ver los dos Sassi. Aldo nos vino a buscar a la Matera moderna (y allí dejamos nuestro coche), y creo que no voy a olvidar la primera impresión de la ciudad antigua mientras descendíamos en su coche. Pues bien, el apartamento está situado justamente en el centro de los dos Sassi, o barrancos donde se fueron desarrollando los dos barrios del Matera antiguo. Matera es increíble. El apartamento es una de las antiguas casas habilitada para estancia turística. Se ha hecho de manera ingeniosa, construyendo un altillo, donde está la cama principal, y debajo un aseo muy cómodo. El resto de la estancia es encantadora, con un techo que es una gran bóveda de cañón y decorado con muebles y objetos antiguos. La cocina, camas, baño, etc. son nuevos, respetando mucho la tradición. Los desayunos se sirven en un edificio adjunto donde Rosa te trata como si fueras de su familia, recibiéndote en una gran mesa con embutidos, quesos, focaccia, frutas y pasteles. El apartamento está muy bien, la ubicación inmejorable, pero la atención de Rosa y de Aldo es lo mejor. Aldo incluso nos acompañó a ver una iglesia rupestre al otro lado del barranco y nos indicó la senda para ver de frente el prodigio de los Sassi de Matera. Muchas gracias, Rosa y Aldo! Todo me gustó
• ROBERTA (10/5): - L'accoglienza da parte del Sig.Aldo e della Sig.ra Rosa è eccezionale! L' appartamento è molto bello, ben curato, pulito e si trova nel cuore del Sasso Barisano. Colazione piu che abbondante e piena di prodotti freschi e locali. Grazie ad Aldo abbiamo conosciuto anche il sig. Liborio che ci ha fatto da guida e ci ha permesso di scoprire Matera attraverso i suoi racconti. I nostri bambini ne sono stati entusiasti! Consigliatissimo e grazie ancora di tutto!

• Monika (10/5): Jesteśmy bardzo zadowoleni z pobytu, gospodarze bardzo mili. - Wygodne dwukondygnacyjne mieszkanie z sypialnią, jadalnią, łazienką, aneksem kuchennym i balkonem. Z balkonu można podziwiać obłędny widok na zabytkową część Matery. Śniadania obfite, z dużą ilością wędlin, serów, warzyw, owoców. Codziennie też było ciasto, focaccia, no i oczywiście kawa oraz soki. Mieszkanie bardzo czyste, gustownie urządzone. Czuliśmy się tam, jak byśmy przyjechali do rodziny. Gospodarze to urocza para. Aldo był tak uprzejmy, że odebrał nas z dworca autobusowego w Materze i potem odwiózł w ostatnim dniu pobytu. Na pewno wrócimy do Aldo i Rosy! Nie było takich rzeczy

• Maria Fernanda (10/5): Excelente Estadía! - El alojamiento está perfectamente ubicado en el Sassi Barixano, reúne todas las condiciones para disfrutar, estar cómodos y descansar bien, pero lo que lo vuelve único es realmente la atención amorosa de sus dueños, Aldo y Rosa!!! Nos han recibido y atendido con muchísima dedicación y amor de abuelos! El desayuno que nos preparó Rosa fue delicioso! Aún recordamos esa crostata y la stracciatella! Mil gracias por todo, ya queremos volver! un gran abrazo desde Argentina!!!
• Munfoon (10/5): Great views and location. Super good hosts and accommodation full of character. - The apartment is not modern but Instead was homely, full of character and clean. It has wonderful view of Sassi and from balcony can see the goings on the street. The location was perfect to walk to different sights without negotiating lots of steps if that is preferred. Our hosts Aldo and Rosa made our stay super special. There was so much offered at breakfasts served in cave including different types of cheeses which we got to learn about from Aldo. Rosa bake tart was a delight. They can pick you up from bus/train station and Aldo was so kind to wait with us at the bus station. Sax Barisano would be one of top accomodation I have stayed at due to hospitality of the hosts. There was nothing I did not like.

The host was incredibly friendly, told us where to park the car for free (via Cererie), met us and took us with our suitcases to the room by his car. And on the last day, he drove us back to my car. The breakfast is light but very tasty, with meat and cheese

• IRENE (10/5): Una perla tra i sassi - La nostra esperienza conferma tutte le belle cose che avevamo letto sui gestori e proprietari della struttura..Rosa e Aldo il top dell'ospitalità e dell'accoglienza, come sentirsi in famiglia ed avere l'impressione di conoscerli da anni! E poco importa se la casa è poco insonorizzata a quella adiacente, poco conta se per un aspetto estetico ed igienico il box doccia è praticamente aperto e si bagna il pavimento quando si fa la doccia..il nostro soggiorno è stato splendido!!per la bellezza di Matera, la posizione della struttura, l'accuratezza con cui è arredata la casa, la dotazione all'interno di essa compresa acqua e caffè a disposizione. Colazione abbondante e di ottima qualità servita sempre con sorriso; disponibilità (non dovuta e scontata)nel venirci a prendere e riportare alla macchina fuori dalla ztl. Un soggiorno che ti lascia la voglia non solo di tornare a Matera ma di tornarci per andare a salutare i tuoi amici Rosa ed Aldo 😀 grazie di tutto, un caro saluto da Pistoia!!!
• Vincenzo (10/5): Accoglienza gentilezza disponibilità - Posizione centralissima , entrata indipendente, confortevole. Il signor Aldo e consorte sono stati gentilissimi, accoglienti e premurosi. Siamo stati trattati come in famiglia; il signor Aldo ci ha accompagnato con la propria auto in centro (chiuso ai non residenti) ci ha spiegato dove parcheggiare e cosa trovare nel paese; ci ha spiegato come muoverci e ci ha fatto trovare una super colazione con ogni ben di dio con prodotti locali buonissimi. Stamattina, andando via ci ha fatto trovare anche un filone di pane fresco (il famoso corno materano), oltre a darci tutto l’occorrente per dei panini da portare per il viaggio. Che dire tutto fantastico e consigliatissimo. Grazie di tutto.

• Gloria (9/5): Capodanno abbondante. - Appartamento tipico dei sassi, accogliente,pulito,bagno nuovo, proprio nel centro dei sassi, a 10 minuti a piedi raggiungi piazza Vittorio Veneto, colazione super abbondante con prodotti tipici della zona freschi di giornata,il signor Aldo e la signora Rosa proprietari dell'appartamento sempre super disponibili e gentili. Unica cosa negativa,non si può arrivare alla struttura con la propria vettura, perché zona ZTL quindi bisogna trovare un parcheggio e poi farsi venire a prendere dal signor Aldo,sempre disponibile.

Quello che più ci è piaciuto di questo soggiorno è stata l'ospitalità che ci hanno offerto i proprietari, due signori davvero accoglienti che hanno reso il nostro soggiorno ancora più speciale.
• Martine (10/5): Un séjour fabuleux à refaire sans modération - Aldo et Rosa nous ont accueilli comme des rois. Le petit déjeuner est loin d'être "petit". Tout est succulent. L'hébergement est idéalement placé et Aldo est absolument charmant. Il nous a permis d'arriver aux Sassi sans problème en venant nous chercher et en nous raccompagnant. On se sent presque en famille et on sent l'amour pour sa ville Matera. Merci infiniment pour votre accueil. Absolument rien

Nicht nur das Abholen von der Parkgarage, nein auch die Fahrt zur Unterkunft, die authentischen Erläuterungen zu Matera und seiner Geschichte sowie das hervorragende italienische Frühstück, alles einfach nur fantastisch.
