- johnathan (10/5): - Everything was perfect Fan in bedroom would be nice other than that everything 10/10
- Weiwei (10/5): A hidden gem - This is the most amazing accommodation during our trip, no TV in the room but a CD player in the living room. Very cozy and comfortable, and quiet all the time but we enjoyed encounters of ducks visiting us in the garden occasionally, it is a kind of black and white dressed species. The host is very helpful and friendly. We have visited the garden twice and enjoyed finding other species of ducks and birds, lots of plants and a waterfall. I was not familiar with the stove provided in the kitchen, it was a stove with gas can used for picnic, luckily my friend knows how to use it for cooking. Finally we have made the best beef ever cooked with this stove.
- Francesco (10/5): Wonderful hosts, very comfortable and stunning surroundings - Beautiful surroundings , amazing lodge Nothing - it was all breathtaking

- Goran (10/5): -
- Cathie (10/5): A fabulous start to our New Zealand adventure. - Fabulous location! A wonderful place to relax and wind down. The gardens are magnificent and the house is very spacious and comfortable. We had such a warm welcome from Serena. Having breakfast supplies ready for us meant we could enjoy breakfast at our leisure and soak up the amazing view. Our (slightly!) older eyes found some of the lighting a bit dim in the bedroom and bathroom but it didn’t detract at all. It didn’t stop us gazing out at the gardens!!
- Martin (10/5): -
- SONIA (10/5): Just wish we’d been able to stay longer in this stunning, unique environment.Delightful, helpful staff who couldn’t have - Stunning setting in beautiful gardens and ponds surrounded by miles and miles of pure native bush interspersed with streams and waterfalls. The kitchen has everything we needed.

- Peter (10/5): Rest, peace and tranqillity - The gardens are beautifull, the waterfall at the of the end of the 'red' walk is spectactular. After a hectic year is was great place to unwind at the beginning of our NZ holiday. With no internet or TV we could catch up on some reading and have a nice rest. The supplied breakfast with eggs was a great way to start the morning. We stayed three nights and headed up to Corromandel Town for a peruse and headed out to driving creek for the zipline tour (so fun). I recomend Peppertree at Corromandel for a delicous dinner. Thanks Sacha and Trish for bieng great hosts, we hoped to stay again. If you are simply in the area head out and do the garden walks, you will not regret it. Nil, all good
- Carol (10/5): Perfect spot to enjoy nature and relax with family. - Beautiful lodge in a gorgeous setting! Very peaceful and relaxing. Leaving it!
- Kim (10/5): - A perfect start to our New Zealand vacation. Please be aware that you will have no cell phone service but that is part of the allure.
- Eleanor (10/5): The most wonderful rural retreat. - Situated in the most beautiful location, in the amazing Water Gardens. The beautifully furnished and equipped lodge far exceeded anything we expected. Amazing place to stay, totally peaceful and wonderful welcome from Sacha. It just has to be appreciated that it is located on the West side of the peninsular quite a drive down a lane from the main coastal road. So not suitable for exploring East coast of peninsular. But to recharge batteries in wonderful natural setting it surely cannot be surpassed. Thankyou Sacha. Catering no longer available in reception, but that did not really affect us given our own facilities.
- Princeton (10/5): Exceptional -
- Maree (9/5): Tranquil garden retreat - Breakfast of eggs and toast, coffee and tea. Cereal option also available. All the basics provided, plus lots of CDs and books in the beautiful garden surroundings, the cottage accommodation is immediately 'next door' to the water gardens. A two night retreat, I would happily have stayed for several. It is well advertised that the cafe is currently closed. It is a charming facility settled amongst several large trees and with potential atmosphere to well complement a visit to the gardens, easily imagined with day visitors for tea and cake.
- Terry (10/5): Beautiful gardens with a friendly and knowledgeable owner - A little bit of Paradise away from the hassle of modern life ! Thank you Sacha
- Gloria (10/5): Relaxing in gorgeous Ruapara provided us with much needed replenishment - Loved the peaceful atmosphere, the warm fire, and lovely clean windows to see the gorgeous views n/a

A wonderful garden with ponds with water lilies and waterfowl. Safe hiking trail to the waterfall, wonderful nature all around. Eggs were prepared for breakfast with everything you need. Very open and caring host. Wonderful stay. I would have liked to stay longer.

- Lisa (10/5): Exceptional - Rapaura watergardens is a hidden gem! The accommodation is lovely place to relax and rewind in nature. - Gianna (10/5): Blissful, relaxing, amazing, beautiful and very memorable - Everything was amazing we had the most relaxing time and would go back in a heartbeat. We were looked after so well and every detail was perfect.
- Jennifer (10/5): Stay in paradise - This is a really beautiful place to spend a few nights. Setting is in a rainforest with waterfall and lovely gardens. It is a unique experience that is hard to find now. Sacha is a wonderful host.
- Adrianus (8/5): Good relaxing stay with a great host - The water gardens were beautiful.
If you like a very quiet stay far away from civilization this is the place to be. The villa was outdated. Furniture and bathroom were still from the 60ties.
- Gary (10/5): Exceptional - Peaceful location surrounded in beautiful gardens No closet to hang your clothes
- N (9/5): Absolutely loved it!Just what we needed! - The owner of the property, Sacha was very helpful and friendly.BBQ at the cottage was a lovely setting for us to relax and enjoy the calmness of the place without mobile signal and Wi-Fi.Also we enjoyed their cafe space and walking to the fall.An old instrument called Pianola was in the cafe area.I loved watching Sacha showing us how to play on it!Only less than 2 hours from Auckland. It was an amazing experience even for one night stay! It was shame their restaurant was not available yet.It might be open when you get there but check with the accommodation in advance. If you take some food from supermarket or takeaway from Thames it is no problem. We had a special private BBQ dinner at the cottage instead.
Shampoo was not included but soaps and bath bombs were there for the bathroom!
- Catherine (10/5): Exceptional -
- Andyjf (10/5): Exceptional - What an extraordinary location. The gardens and the waterfalls and the associated walks were exquisite. The cottage itself was so far beyond what we had expected that it is difficult to praise it enough. It was simply wonderful!! And so peaceful. Paved road from the west side of the Coromandel peninsula ends just past the entrance. The gravel road beyond can be used to journey to the East coast of the peninsula. Not being able to stay longer.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Beautiful gardens and the cottage was amazing. We were there for a friends wedding and the staff went above and beyond! Only advice would be to request a fan in the cottage, it was very warm well into the evening and as the cottages are surrounded by the garden and trees there are too many mossies to be comfortable leaving windows open

Environnement super, jardin magnifique, chemin privé pour aller voir des cascades
- Verified traveler (10/5): - If you want someplace and tranquility for a day or so this is the place, a rustic cottage set in beautiful gardens.
- Leena (10/5): - Lovely gardens and the nicest staff. Wonderful to swim on the waterfall!
