• Richard (10/5): - We loved this characterful and stylish home in one of Tainan’s typical alleys. We had a huge room with a large room and plenty of room to hang your clothes. The bed was large, albeit a little hard for us but this is a very personal thing for people and it will suits others..the shower and bath room were excellent with a decent shower. The public areas had tables for breakfast or even to eat your own food. The breakfast was local and a great experience. The owner was the ultimate professional, and seemed have thought of everything

• Ni-Hsuan (10/5): 超級棒的民宿 - 當初看了評價 想說怎麼可能會有各大訂房網站滿分的民宿 結果住宿體驗非常好 已經好久沒有住到這麼棒的民宿了 一樓的裝潢陳設 看得出老闆非常有品味 態度也很好很親切 進房間時真的忍不住「哇」讚嘆 房間很大、乾淨，氣味香氛非常舒服 一樓可以聽音樂，老闆提供餐具，買回民宿的食物可以在一樓用餐 寢具也很好，我第一次住到想把枕頭買回家的民宿🤣 早餐有三個時段可以選擇 熱騰騰的肉羹跟肉圓👍 還有水果跟飲料 一樓也有老闆推薦的台南景點跟餐廳 完完全全可以感受到老闆的用心 早上老闆看我們在看他們提供的景點推薦，也熱心的介紹 我跟朋友以前也是在民宿跟飯店工作過的 這家真的是品質跟水準真的是非常好 一定還要再來❤️ 只能給5顆星，不然想給10顆
• Bessie (10/5): - Chez Poky is the BEST B&B in Tainan. It exceeds 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐. It's well designed, beautifully decorated, and the host, Poky Hsu is friendly, helpful and gave us the VIP treatment, as I'm sure he does with all his guest. His guidance and recommendations for Tainan are spot on! The Taiwanese breakfasts served were delicious with beverage and fruit. The amenities were plentiful, including thick plush cotton towel, complimentary snacks and beverages. Poky recommended a specialty dessert place called Katsura, which we would have never tried without him telling us Thank you Poky for a most memorable time in Tainan. Rating: 10 and highly highly recommend this place. You can't go wrong!

From the location on a small quiet street, to the extremely well-appointed, large, comfortable and quiet room in a beautifully designed home, to the breakfast offerings that changed daily, to Poky's warm & welcoming professionalism our stay was fantastic. Poky was always there to help when we needed it, especially for foodie dining recommendations and equally there just to chat when we were on our way out or in after a full day in Tainan. Truly one of if not the best place we have stayed in many years of traveling throughout the world. Book it, you won't regret it! Thank you, Poky!

• Rachel (10/5): Incredible stay in Tainan - Poky was an excellent host. The room was beautiful, so open and clean. Poky made us traditional Taiwanese breakfasts each morning, and also shared with us his film collection. I would absolutely recommend!

He is also fluent in English and can point you to places to visit, present local delicacies at the breakfast table, and call taxi services for you. Very thoughtful throughout our entire stay and will be our #1 pick our next stay in Tainan.
• Andy Chi Chung (10/5): - I can’t recommend this bed and breakfast enough! To start the room we booked was large, clean and comfortable. The breakfast provided is selected from local places in Tainan, and you get to try the amazing local cuisines. There’s also a great movie collection you can choose from downstairs, and it was a great way for us to unwind after a long day of exploring Tainan. There is so much more to say about how amazing the host, and the space is, but I’d just say to book it and experience for yourself if there is availability.
• Verified traveler (10/5): A design aficionado’s hotel - We had a delightful stay at Chez Poky. It is clear that each detail, from the decor, to the tableware, to the toiletries and in-room snacks was chosen with great care and thought. There were so many beautiful things to look at, and an incredible selection of films you can borrow to watch in your room. The room was spacious, clean and comfortable, and the breakfast was also very enjoyable - each morning, we were treated to a local Tainanese dish, with a helpful explanation of its history and significance. Poky, the proprietor, was also incredibly helpful and polite, and he is clearly a foodie with the food offerings and local food recommendations. I cannot say enough good things about this boutique hotel! I hope to be able to stay here again.

Our host also provided a great many tips on places to see and eat. Our room was modern and comfortable. It was quiet for sleeping. Breakfast was gathered from famous local restaurants and was elegantly served. We enjoyed our three nights here and look forward to coming back again.

• TSEN-HAO (10/5): 入住的體驗 - 整體入住的過程非常簡捷，整體環境非常優美，入住的房間寬敞清潔，整體的體驗是非常棒的，唯一一個小小的建議就是可以加裝個循環風扇讓房間裡面的溫度可以更平均，因為冷氣出風口與床是在房間的兩側，雖然距離不遠，但有明顯的溫差，所以睡覺的時候會感覺比較熱

• Huihsing (10/5): An amazing and wonderful stay! - We stayed here for 2 nights and the host is really friendly and warm, we really enjoyed our stay with cozy decoration and very comfortable and relaxing scent around the house. The host has a very good taste on the house decoration and the toiletries selection, there are enough socket in the room which is so important for travelers. No wonder this hotel can have this such high rating, you will like it after you experience, I really recommended this place if you are visiting Tainan

Tainan's local delicacies are served for breakfast along with fruits and drinks, we had coffee both days and it was of good quality. Owner is knowledgeable about tainan, provided parking advice in advance and offered us a map. We had a good rest at Poky Chez and recommend it to anyone who wants to stay in a minsu when visiting tainan.

• SHOTARO (10/5): - 夫婦で宿泊しました。広くて清潔な施設。芸術好きなポーキーオーナーの人柄が素晴らしい。毎朝異なる地元の有名店の朝食、食後のおしゃべりの時間にオーナーおすすめの旅程、食事を教えてくれます。３日目にはまるで我が家にいるような感覚で落ち着いて過ごせました。初めての台南旅行は不安なく過ごせました。次回も間違いなく百吉家ステイです。

• Denise (10/5): - I visited Tainan for the first time last week and I’m so glad I stayed at Chez Poky’s for my first visit to Tainan. I had a few places to check out but Poky generously took the time to show me and my partner some of the must-visit locations as a local. The B&B was in a quiet yet convenient location as well, we were walking distance to Guohua road, Hayashi Dept Store, the Confucius Temple, and Snail Alley. Anping District was also a short 15-20 min ride away too. The breakfasts that Poky prepared were delightful as well, and I wouldn’t have tried those foods on my own. Staying at Chez Poky really added to the experience of visiting Tainan since it was similar to staying at a friend’s or cool uncle’s house. I felt right at home. I also ended up making use of his huge DVD collection too since my partner wasn’t feeling well, so that happened to work out well even if it wasn’t part of our original travel plans! If you love movies, definitely ask Poky about his favorites and he may recommend some movies you’ve never heard of. I’m definitely staying at Chez Poky again when I return to Tainan and can’t really imagine staying anywhere else.
• Eng Poh (10/5): - Nice homestay with quality furnishings from bedroom to choice of dining ware. Walking distance to 神农街for food and night market.
• Jeffrey (10/5): A great relaxing experience - Wonderful experience. The sitting area and the room were both clean and relaxing. Mr. Hsu was a gracious host and was all too happy to recommend local restaurants and sightseeing spots. We liked it so much, as soon as we got back home, we reserved a room there again for our next trip!
• CHING YUET (10/5): - 很驚喜能找到這麼出色的飯店，本來廿民宿沒有很好的印象，抱著不太大的期望預定房間，沒想到從還沒有入住就驚喜連連。因為是第一次去台南，又沒坐過高鐵，自己一個人有一點點害怕迷路，老闆知道後，很貼心一步步從下飛機到怎樣搭高鐵，再怎麼搭車到飯店，很清楚就像活地圖，令我很順利就找到飯店。房間不負所望，很乾淨很大很漂亮，令我很喜歡的就是每天的早餐，不但有台南的特色，還天天不同，連平時我不吃的食物，我也居然嘗試吃了，打破了我對台南食物的誤解。 老闆給我的印象，是一位溫文爾雅、有禮、待人熱誠的好男士，他介紹了多個值得去的景點給我，知道交通不方便，甚至開車載我去，知道我不懂叫計程車，又教我怎樣做，令我感到非常窩心。 常常去旅遊，從來沒有受過這麼細緻、這麼關心的招待，心內很是感謝老闆。對台南這次的旅遊經歷，雖然不是很滿意，但對入住到一間非常完美的飯店，令這趟旅行加上不少分數，短期內我相信不會再到台南了，如果一定要到台南的原因，相信會是這個非凡的飯店和非常好人的老闆了！
• TZU-HSIN (10/5): 在這裡，創造一段最好的時光。 - 如果你旅行，也是為了在記憶中刻下吉光片羽，百吉家絕對會令你難忘。 從入門迎賓香氛，到公共空間掛著三幅巨型經典電影海報的牆面，另一頭則是書和影音光碟牆和芥末黃綠的沙發，從早餐品項、擺盤和餐飾、飲品，到房間內的沐浴備品，處處顯見主人對細節的重視和品味獨到。 最棒的收穫常來自於跟主人Poki的閒聊，分享彼此人生旅途的幾頁風景。而不管是推薦的餐廳還是展覽，小吃或是西餐，也從未令人失望。 有時候想，不斷再訪台南的動力，除了那些食物、氣味和景色，肯定也是因為想再去住一次百吉家吧。

• Chao Ling (10/5): 整體住宿體驗舒適愉悅 - 老闆將住宿環境打造得非常乾淨、舒適。公共空間寬敞明亮，即使晚上點外賣在1樓吃，吃完也很方便清洗、回收。位於巷弄內，但從巷口即可清楚辨識。 雖是舊公寓改造所以沒電梯，但樓梯空間明亮通透，階梯也很乾淨，上樓前換室內拖鞋後，都是木質地板，走起來很舒適。 房內空間非常寬敞，且都是木質地板，大面窗戶，明亮且讓人心情愉悅，房內衛浴用品是bamford，芳香氣息也很讓人放鬆。 老闆旅遊經驗豐富，如果有時間跟老闆聊天，會有很多旅行的建議&收穫。 早餐準備的是台南傳統小吃，肉圓&旗魚羹，如果吃不下太多(或想稍晚還有別的吃小吃行程)可提前告訴老闆只要半份。

• Magdalene Ming Wai (10/5): Second to none great services n hospitality! - An amazing stay, highly recommended! Owner is a great host n gave great recommendations of the city to us who’d never been to Tainan. Saved us time n expenses which made the whole trip well spent on time n places to visit.
• Yung Fei (10/5): 優秀的住宿體驗 - 地點近鬧區、民宿房間佈置與環境舒適高質感、老闆健談，非常好的住宿體驗。
• Haruna (10/5): - お部屋は広々としてオシャレで、オーナーのポーキーさんは気さくで紳士的な方でした。また台南に来た際にはぜひ泊まりに来たいです！オススメレストランやタクシーの見つけ方も教えてもらい大変充実した3泊4日を過ごせました。
• Chenshuo (10/5): - 民宿老闆很用心對待每一個住宿的客人，也能明顯感覺老闆的細心之處。我跟我太太住的都很滿意，尤其我內人有潔癖，但這民宿的整潔度無話可說。 附近都是老房子，原本想說停車應該會不好停，但只要找一下，都能找到停車位，附近也有收費停車場，我都是停路邊的停車位，三個晚上停下來，只被開了一次的停車單50元，整體來說還算很方便，附近也很好逛。 老闆以前是做媒體相關行業的，用的東西都很有格調，從屋內裝潢、擺飾、風格跟用的東西，都能看的出老闆有品味的個性。 感謝老闆的處處貼心，可能不是每個人都能感受的到，但我相信絕大多數的人都會喜歡，下次到台南再來拜訪，謝謝！
• lee (10/5): - 호텔이지만 방이 몇 개 없고 하숙집 같은 느낌이 있습니다. 처음 체크인 할 때부터 사장님께서 너무 친절하게 맞아주셨고 맛집 추천을 요청드렸을 때도 성의있게 지도와 휴대폰을 사용하여 저희가 쉽게 이해할 수 있도록 설명해주셨어요. 방도 너무 깔끔하고 넓었고 조용했습니다. 또한 조식도 너무 맛있었어요!! 다음에도 기회가 된다면 1주일 동안 머물며 여기서 제공되는 모든 조식 메뉴를 먹어보고 싶습니다. 그리고 저희에게 여행 플랜도 물어봐주시고 부족한 점이 있으면 어떻게 보완할지도 잘 말씀해주셔서 여행하는 데 큰 도움이 되었습니다. 타이난을 또 방문할 일이 있다면 무조건 여기에 다시 묵을 예정이에요!

• Thomas (10/5): - 一趟臨時起意的旅行，在搜尋住宿的時候，偶然發現了這間旅客評分滿分的民宿，於是毫不猶豫的訂了。果然厲害，一完成預訂，民宿主人的就主動和我聯絡，安排入住並提供有用的資訊。不論是客房或公共區域都看得出精心的設計，主人還給我們行程建議，一路吃吃逛逛就可以到赤崁樓和其他景點，值得一提的是每天早餐有不同的在地美食，客房裡也有飲料和小點心，一切都很滿意，難怪是住過的都說好，大推！
• Verified traveler (10/5): - This was our second stay at Poky’s. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood that’s still walkable to all the sites in the city. The owner Poky has extensive knowledge of the city and makes great recommendations for restaurants! The library has a number of travel guides we can borrow during our stay. The stay comes with wonderful Taiwanese breakfast. Definitely a highlight of our stay. We’ll be back again!
• Yukes (10/5): - This B&B is located in a quieter neighborhood in Tainab, but is still accessible to all the tourist attractions. We got to walk everywhere except for when we visited Anping and a night market. Poky was extreny helpful with giving us recommendations for where to go and eat in the city. We'll definitely be back in the future!
