- Elina (8/5): - Very nice hotel, spacious rooms, bathroom has bath and a shower. Everything nice and clean. There is a little play area for kids kept our little one busy for a bit. Pool is a nice addition (steam room, souna have to be booked upfront and for extra cost). Good location if you travel by car.

- Verified traveler (10/5): Great stay! - Comis was a great stay, only thing I would say is that we were there over the summer, with the weather being really nice and unfortunately there is no air conditioning in the room. However they did provide electric fans upon request.

- Janet (6/5): - Don't believe the 10/10 reviews on here, they are not accurate at all. Very disappointed with the hotel, average to poor food, average staff, no air conditioning, and they were more interested in the conference and wedding customers than with paying hotel customers. I was most disgusted that the coffee and tea were served in a thermos flask and not individual pots, which they had in a cupboard in the corridor, obviously it was too much like hard work for the staff who stood around doing nothing except clear tables, to get the customers tea and coffee! We ate out and would recommend Mrs Yangs Chinese restaurant.
- Robert (8/5): - We were well looked after by Daniel and his team. Equidistant between airport and Douglas with lovely views over the surrounding countryside. Standard double rooms are large and comfortable with basic amenities. They have a large clean bathroom with a fixed position shower head over a large separate shower tray. There is also a bath. The room has heating but not air conditioning. There is a wardrobe, dressing table, coffee table, chairs, fridge and safe. The restaurant manager is the man who you'll see the most and he seems to pretty much keep the place running smoothly. There is one restaurant open at any one time the other is usually in use as a wedding venue or closed. The food is good, not great, but perfectly acceptable unless you're susceptible to diva behaviour ;) Good bar selection of wines and spirits and friendly staff all around. All in all, a great hotel, and perfect for the older parents as there are lifts between floors and they enjoyed the amenities too.

The staff in the front desk were very friendly. the rooms needed a deep clean, the restaurant was very quiet and the staff and food was extremely poor; I didn’t expect to wait so long to be told to wait on our self’s for a £60 Sunday dinner that was supposed to be our 10th wedding anniversary dinner, something luxurious but the lamb was cold and tough, the beef was inedible the veg was cooked well but sadly I wish I’d known better when we walked in we should of walked out.

- Harpinder (10/5): Best hotel in Isle of Man - What a beautiful hotel 😀 Staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful, this extends to all staff, not just the reception staff. Cleaners were brilliant, friendly and looked loke they were actually happy to be working. Room was very clean an comfortabme with great little touches. The little treat box for my dog was beyond adorable. The hotel itself is spectacular, the outdoor seating and views are to die for. The location for us was perfect, right in the middle of all the main tourist attractions; we drove around the whole island, so the location for us was perfect. Thank you for having us 😀

- Verified traveler (8/5): Lovely place to stay. Great food. Very comfortable - The hotel is lovely. We had afternoon tea when we arrived which was excellent. The dinner was excellent too, we had fish and a burger. A bit pricey but excellent. The pool is idyllic which is included in your stay. We did want a treatment but there were no staff available during our stay, also the spa was closed, but at £50 per person for 2 hours it’s also very expensive. The room was very nice and bright, bathroom had a bath and a huge shower. Staff were very nice, but I didn’t feel the restaurant staff were attentive, they didn’t ask if we needed anything and had to ask for more drinks. But they were very nice.

- Daniel (10/5): - Lovely place. We stayed with our small dog for a couple of nights. Facilities are amazing, golf, spa, swimming, gym, etc. Set in beautiful, peaceful grounds with easy access to Douglas (20 min drive) We had a 3 course meal in one of the restaurants and not only was the food amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality but it really felt like they went the extra mile... and were happy to. The chef prepared a special sauce to accomodate my partners food intolerances and the dog was offerred a plain char-grilled chicken in the restaurant as well.

- Marcus (10/5): Best family hotel on the island? - The best (family) hotel in the Isle of Man? We were on the island for a few days and wanted to cover as much as possible of the island. The location was perfect to cover north, south, west and eastern parts of the island. We got a connecting room and had some disturbance in the morning from the room next to us but the staff blocked it off after the guest checked out. Excellent service. Breakfast is somewhat basic but had everything you needed and a great scrambled egg. Big parking space, friendly and helpful staff. Clean rooms and nice Christmas decoration which gave a nice ambiance. They even have an indoor pool included in the stay, and with option to add access to spa or have treatments. We had a great stay here. Thank you!
- Garry (6/5): - The stay was ok but you have to drive everywhere. My room was not cleaned for the whole week I stayed, food very overpriced, and nearly £20 for breakfast is crazy. When I asked for coffee and milk at reception they questioned if I was a guest. To finish off I went to the restaurant and was told to come back later as they were busy I could only see about 15 people so had to do the walk of shame back to my room. On a positive note a few great receptionists and servers
- Milka Emilyanova (2/5): - We were put in a room which was underground floor level. Jakusy and steam room or sounds was not included and completely separate. We eat lunch was not up to standard. Breakfast was bad as well
- Anthony (6/5): - Gym facilities need updating - old cycling and rowing machine. Gym TV did not work. No music for pace setting in gym. Motion detection lighting in gym did not detect me on the rowing machine so for 4 mornings I rowed in the dark. Swimming pool needs lighting above the centre of the pool because it is very dark in the pool. Leisure centre changing rooms were too small, with one shower, 2 changing rooms, broken lockers, toilet floor was flooded everyday. Lock on the shower door was broken, shower soap dispenser was empty. Floor in hotel room was dirty after cleaning. Hotel postcode did not take us to the hotel using SatNav.

- Rhonwen (10/5): A lovely week - Our first time staying here but it won’t be our last. Lovely hotel, friendly and helpful staff who responded to any requests quickly and professionally. Our room was on the lower ground floor & was accessible via the lift or stairs. The room was very quiet, clean and the only negative was no air-con which ordinarily would not be a problem but we had a very hot, sunny week and it would have been nice to have air-con. We asked for a fan and it was immediately made available. We are looking forward to our next visit & have decided that this is now our hotel of choice. One other little niggle was a lack of alcohol free drinks available in the bar eg flavoured ciders but the food in the restaurant was lovely. Thank you for a lovely stay.

The food was very expensive and the quality not the best. £5 for a bowl of carrotts as none of the menu comes with any vegatables. Seems like they are ripping off customers.

- Jenna-Marie (8/5): Room too warm, not very four star - Despite the air temperature outside being around 16C for our entire stay, the room we were in was uncomfortably hot and there was no AC or fan to help mitigate this. I dread to think what this hotel would be like when the air temperature outside is over 20. Room furniture is very basic and outdated, I would expect a higher level of luxury from a four star hotel. Not impressed with dogs being allowed in the breakfast room, absolutely disgusting lack of hygiene and regard for anyone who is terrified of dogs.

- Riikka (6/5): Would not stay again. - Very soulless hotel, sadly. We had a room facing some staff entrance to the hotel on the ground floor so there was traffic outside our window all three days so we were unable to keep the curtains open. Our safe did not work, so that needed looking into. The alarm on the door went off every time we opened the door. The remote of the telly worked sporadically. There was no room service menu in the room even though we were told there was room service? No hot water the last morning for the shower. Hotel bar was poorly stocked: 2 our of 5 (?) pumps out of order and no crisps. If you wanted to eat in the hotel your only choice was to eat dinner in the restaurant which was expensive. No bar food menu after 4 pm. Hotel guests had access to the pool but not the gym, why ? IOM was nice, so that compensated for our disappointment for the hotel. Booked this one as everything else on the island looked old and worn. This hotel was indeed in a good decoractive order, clean and tidy, just completely avoid of any character.

- Brian (10/5): Good all-rounder - Whether for a staycation (as we used it), or for a base to retreat to when visiting the island, this was a great experience. Breakfast was good, especially the pancake making machine, and a nice spot to sit in even on a rainy day. The rooms are quite big and the place is easy to navigate. We used the SPA and after figuring out how to turn the jacuzzi on, was a good addition to the day. Staff on reception very helpful and seem very willing to aid in questions about other areas of the hotel e.g. SPA, restaurants.

- p (10/5): Another fault free stay - Second stay at this property. As previous, the stay was perfect: comfortable beds, great shower, good room amenities, friendly and helpful staff and convenient parking. Food in the restaurant is excellent. Recommended.

- Barrie (10/5): What’s not to like ? - Stayed here again for work for 3 nights. Reception staff were constantly pleasant and attentive at any time of the day. The bedroom cleaning staff were especially helpful for towels etc if you didn’t need your room doing daily. Parking is plentiful. The gym is well serviced with equipment and helpful trainers.

Sentimental place to us though so will go back lol. Seems to have lost its spark since we were last there at Xmas. Spa was great though and the staff there are great.

- p (10/5): Good stay - 10/10 and they welcome dogs. Hotel is in excellent condition, bed was comfortable. Room was warm and welcoming as were the check in staff. Only thing missing was a room service menu in the room. Restaurant was good, food quality was excellent and was good value for money. The breakfast buffet was good but I missed a more continental approach with fresh bread, meat and cheese but it’s hardly a deal breaker. Coffee by the way was excellent and actually strong and tasty in contrast with the usual insipid brew offered by most hotels these days.

Staff were friendly and helpful. Overall, a wonderful and relaxing stay. Would definitely recommend this place.
- GJP (10/5): Business trip. - Lovely hotel very welcoming at check in and a great room, well presented and clean. Food in the restaurant was excellent a credit to the chef who personally recommended the Manx Queenies, thank you chef. Breakfast was really great and all staff were so lovely.

- Paul (8/5): Great hotel, quiet location, terrible breakfast! - I stayed here for 3 nights during September. The location is 10 minutes from Douglas which suited me fine for a very quiet nights sleep. The hotels on Douglas Prom can be noisy if near the centre of Douglas. The room was an executive room which was clean, very spacious and well appointed. The presentation of f the hotel overall is very good with well presented staff and overall good service. The gym is very well equipped for a hotel gym, and the pool is also well maintained. However, like so many guests have commented previously. The breakfast is very disappointing. Buffet breakfast service is very lazy, often overcooked, or dried out. The Comis was no different. What was annoying, was having to pay for a latte coffee with my dismal breakfast. Come on Comis, you can do better than this! I did order poached eggs one morning, never again. They were that hard, I sure I saw a golfer using them later on the green! Overall the hotel needs to address the dire food offered, I did not try dinner due to the breakfast setting the benchmark. I would suggest the owners and managers visit a Malmaison or Hotel Du Vin to learn how a hotel chain can do made to order breakfasts in a timely manner and never crucify a poached egg!

- Steve (8/5): A good first experience - First time in IoM. The hotel is fairly big for the place with the room being noticeably spacious. There was a locked door to another in my room which i did not understand and felt a bit creepy. The dinner took a long time to arrive and i feel it could offer a few more options that are dairy free and suitable for vegans. Breakfest in my view was lackustre with not a lot of choices. The croissants tray only had 3 croissants. The waitress, although probably trying to help, was insisting on asking me for what i wanted which i did not really like and felt intrusive. The bedroom toilet was very cold even though there was heater inside which appeared to not have any ON switch. I will be going to IoM again soon and will opt to try a different hotel that time.
