- Desmond (8/5): Home away from HOME - The place its warm, you wint even thunk uts winter. His dogs are so friendly, i did not like dog at first. But later i was the one playing with them. The Boma was good, well prepared. Its a nice place!!!!!!!!

If you are a nature lover this is the place to be, I like the braai area set up and kitchen, you get to interact with other guests. The bed is so comfortable that I had to make arrangements to check out at 11 with no extra costs. I would definitely return

- Anja (6/5): Overall nor bad but dont advertise a swimming pool and wifi if not accessible . - Staff and owner was very friendly Room was cleaned every day For addirional fee you van have you washing done There was just a kettle and fridge in our room with utensils you have to walk 400m to heat up food or cook There was no space to pack anything on we went and baught cheap plastic tables so we van use it to pack our food ect on. NO WIFIin our room the wifi is at the owners house as well as the swimming pool. No tv To be honest I feel like I spent a lot of money for whar I hoped to be a 4 star room as rated when I booked but I felt like I was on a school camp.

I understand the property is in the bush, however with proper maintenance and regular cleaning there shouldn't be issues. Price was high considering there was no shampoo, conditioner, tea, cofee, sugar etc.

- Jean (5/5): Beautiful property but feel we stayed elsewhere that was better value for money. - Beautiful location All though there was a storm a few nights before that showered the property with branches (understandable) there are minor maintenance that needs more regular attention. The road to the property (overgrown grass and branches). The low bridges were flooded which meant we had to use the hang bridge which was a bit overgrown. Things that can be sorted before peak season. That said the owner was very welcoming and made as feel at home.

- Catherine (10/5): Tranquility at its best, connect with nature - We had a lovely stay. Ian is a super host, friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the tranquility of the bush and the river. The room is spacious and have all necessities. We will definitely visit again.
- Pogo (9/5): a wow stay - tranquility, the bush the quietness the birds the animals the river. the boma and eating areas were also up to standard.. a lot of insects and cockroaches that were getting into our rooms and making noise in the evening. There were some bees in the toilet of one of the rooms. The area is very hot but there is no aircons only fans in the rooms. No internet connection.

- Mathilda (10/5): Exceptional - I really enjoyed being here. It gave me a break from the city. Its so peaceful, away from the mainroad, no car hooting, no loud music or people. It is just you and nature with the calming effect of the river passing across. The fact that it rained was a bonus, everything was so green and wet. The owner is very nice & checked on us during our stay, he also has a very nice dog called Maya super adorable. I would recommend this place if u really want a good bushlife experience. Nothing.

- Verified traveler (10/5): - Un endroit secret à proximité de Blyde River Canyon. Après une route un peu escarpée, vous passez un pont et arrivez sur une île privée au milieu de la Blyde River. Lian et sa femme vous accueillerons dans cet endroit absolument magique. Nous avons dormi dans une tente. Et contre toute attente c’est très luxieux, propre et confortable. On a l’impression de dormir au milieu de la jungle. Vous pouvez diner avec eux, ou bien vous faire votre propre Braai. Une cuisine commune très bien équipée est à disposition des clients. Nous recommandons vivement cet endroit, bien qu’il mérite de rester secret tant c’est une perle rare !
