- Natalie (10/5): Wanted to stay longer - Good facilities
- Anne (8/5): -
- Heward (10/5): -
- Susan (9/5): A comfortable stay in a clean venue with convenient restaurant - The location was good. Free parking was available next to the venue. The restaurant was convenient and the room had everything needed The restaurant had my first two choices off menu. I slept poorly as the town is quite busy and passers by could be heard til around 1am. The nearby church bells went off every hour
- Leanne (9/5): - Great central location and a lovely clean & area ell equipped room.
- Carla (9/5): - Ruime, rustige kamer op de bovenste verdieping. Heerlijk bed. Zeer vriendelijke en relaxte gastheer. Zeer goed eten in het sfeervolle hotel/bar gedeelte. Gratis parkeren op privé parkeerplaats even verder op. Niets
- Nicolas (8/5): - Very comfortable bed and shower. Walk up a bit laborious with injured leg
- Gordon (10/5): -
- Sam (10/5): -
- Ian (8/5): - Everything The bath wasn’t working properly.
- omi (8/5): excellent stay, although hotel car park was full cheap ncp opposite less than 3 pounds for 24 hours. - excellent sized room, perfect for our stay of two nights lovely room
- Stewart (10/5): Absolute centre of town, the car park is close by and the food and drink downstairs was excellent and well dressed. Noth - Very spacious and clean Nothing
- Paul (8/5): Quick weekend in central location - Central, good bar and restaurant Nothing
- Mat (8/5): Great location beautiful rooms shame about the green light ! - It had a living room kitchen and bedroom with bathroom plenty of space really well created There was an annoying green light in the bedroom likely some fire alarm or something that you could not turn off but was quite bright that did cause some sleep issues
- Ian (8/5): Excellent value stay in well appointed accommodation - Lovely central accommodation. Easy to find and the staff I met were very helpful. The rooms were very clean and tidy and well appointed and the stay was superb value. Would definitely use again or recommend Nothing at all.
- Diana (8/5): -
- Disal (7/5): - The room was good and staff were lovely The entrance and hallways - a bit dirty and felt very “alleyway”
- Leigh (6/5): -
- Danny (8/5): Lovely place but bring earplugs - The property itself was excellent. The bar area and selection of food and drink was great.
My room was spotless and very comfortable. A small kitchenette rather than a tray of tea and coffee was a nice touch. For a town centre location there will be outside noise, especially later in the evening. Anticipating it doesn't make it any less tolerable though.
- Neil (10/5): It was my partners birthday and we booked a nights stay. I had contacted Matt to order a bottle of bubbly for the room o - Central location close to everything in the Town centre. Nothing it was great
- Salford Slim (10/5): What a great little hotel, would definitely recommend! - Great room! It was spacious, comfortable and had excellent facilities with a small kitchenette area, fridge and even a separate little desk area for working if required.
Located really centrally and a nice bar area downstairs. The free parking to the rear was an added bonus. N/A
- Alison (10/5): - Rooms are fabulous, spacious, comfortable. Well equipped, huge bed. We were room 13 top floor so few stairs but on opening the door and seeing the room and view over Barrow worth the climb
Staff are so welcoming and helpful Car park a bit away from the hotel, could have done with some signage towards the hotel but apart from that nothing. Car park was easy to find
- Alison (9/5): -
- Will (8/5): Very good stay - Great staff, simple check in process and affordable rooms
- Sonal (8/5): -
- Mandi (10/5): 40th Birthday Weekend - Unique, comfy, had everything you could need. Staff were awesome, bar downstairs was cracking - awesome food and good value for money. Nothing
- Martin (10/5): - The decor was very tasteful, everything was done properly, from lovely carpets, curtains etc, had all the facilities you could need in a room... Downstairs the bar was the social centre of the town, with a great atmosphere, although the noise did not carry through to the room
I would happily stay again Although most of the staff were very very accommodating, and made me feel very welcome, on the first night I went and had dinner in the restaurant, I guess it's fair to say I'm a larger guy, it was Easter, and in a new hotel I treated myself to a nice meal, i was clearly judged by the blond waitress, who was blatantly rude, the service was terrible, no one asked if I was enjoying the meal, but it was looks from the waitress, who more aless through the plate on to the table, with discust, that quite frankly really upset me, and made me feel very unwelcome...
I did try the restaurant again the following night, and received very good service from a young brunette lady,
The food was exquisite, the room was delightful and I would highly recommend this as a hotel
- Philip Oxborough (7/5): - Nice Bar for Family drink. Unfortunately heavy rain penetrated onto the room window sill.
- Anthony (10/5): Excellent value for money . Outstanding facilities. Will stay again :) - Excellent facilities & location. Nothing - it was excellent .
- Tatler (10/5): -
- Michael Burleigh (8/5): - Very nice breakfast, but some orange juice would have been good All the stairs

- Paula (8/5): -

- Robert (10/5): - Absolutely brilliant stay thks
- Kirils (10/5): -
- rachael (9/5): Would stay again!!! - The facilities in the room where brilliant. The bed was massive and the fact you can take your dog is a great bonus! The pillows old and washed a lot so quite lumpy
- Neil (10/5): Comfortable, well appointed accommodation. - Large, comfortable, warm room. Giant bed. Fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery & cutlery. Great walk in shower. Quiet. Central location. Three flights of stairs.
- Robert (8/5): - Room was clean Location
- Jo (10/5): Was lovely but lack of communication with staff made our first night unbearable with staff - Central Was placed in a standard room despite paying for a luxury room. This was rectified after the first night. There was a lot of renovation work going on which we weren’t aware of when booking
- Barry (8/5): -
- Stephen (8/5): -
- Nadine (10/5): - We had a really lovely stay at this hotel and would happily come back again. From the moment we arrived, the staff were warm, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made a great first impression.
The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, with everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was especially comfortable, and we appreciated the little touches that made the experience feel a bit more special.
The location was also a big plus — convenient for getting around and close to local attractions, which made exploring the area easy and enjoyable.
Overall, it was a great experience with a good balance of comfort, service, and value. We’d definitely recommend it to others looking for a pleasant and hassle-free stay.
- JONY (3/5): Different room than what we have booked or paid for - Location The room was not even close to what was shown in the picture. It was a tiny bedroom with bathroom.
The have a pub downstairs , and music was loud till midnight
- Philip (10/5): - The staff were excellent, the room was clean and tidy and big, had a meal in the bar was lovely Not a problem for me but there are stairs up to the room's
- CHRISTOPHER (4/5): Uncomfortable due to compactness of rooms. You hear every other room door. Didn’t even stay, simply found another accomm - Unfortunately nothing. Didn’t even stay in the end. Very noisy due to adjacent rooms being so compact.
- Shaun (8/5): -
- Romy (10/5): - Ruimte kamer en prijs-kwaliteit verhouding. Geen lift, en even wennen dat je op een vrijdagavond incheckt in een drukke bar, maar zodra je naar de kamer gaat merk je hier niets meer van.
- Tim (8/5): -
- Mickeysnow (10/5): -
- katie (8/5): -
- Gareth (10/5): - Great room, clean, big and lovely Parking
- Alex (9/5): The Townhouse - Very nice spacious room with everything we needed. Lovely Bath and Kitchen in the bedroom area and the shower and toilet separate. Comfortable bed, very clean and great location. Very warm in the room. We had the Portable fan on and the windows open all the time.
- Bryan (10/5): -
- Andrew (7/5): Would stay again - Location My bedroom window didn’t shut so the wind howled all night
- Simon (9/5): -
- Heather (10/5): Excellent hotel, would recommend - Really nice room. Happy with everything. Would recommend if you were in the area
- Michaela (7/5): Great room - good staff - comfortable bed and central location - Spacious room - pleasant staff great manager with special little touches for partners birthday large comfy bed very clean N/A
- Steve (8/5): - Center of town
- Yvonne (8/5): - Have stayed here quite a few times, staff are excellent very polite, good humoured and helpful. Room spacious, clean and containing a small kitchenette which is very helpful. No lift and lots of stairs up to our room 12.
- Jo (9/5): -
- David (10/5): Another great stay at the Townhouse - Boutique style. Friendly staff. Room a bit small compared to photos on website. Room very hot.
- Pete (10/5): -
- Russell (9/5): -
- Carol (7/5): Good value for money, could do with a microwave - Good value for the money, restaurant seemed nice and lots of other places around being in the centre I did notice a few hairs in the bathroom and in the bed but the main thing for me was the lack of a microwave - the whole kitchen area seemed a bit pointless and I’m not sure why microwaves couldn’t be added as would have greatly improved the experience
- Adrienne (10/5): -
- Alison (8/5): - Great city centre location, nice bar, the room was comfortable and clean, great for what we needed We arrived after two and the whole place was closed, despite saying we could check in from two, went back after an hour or so and the bar and reception were open so all good just slightly annoying
- Adrienne (10/5): - Fantastic hotel
- Alison (6/5): Okay for the price - Location perfect for a party we were attending but so noisy at night windows need triple glazing great size room & bathroom was lovely
It had everything you needed for the price There was an odd smell in the whole building our room was so hot had to open one window room 8
The bed was rock hard & dreadful pillows lumpy & so uncomfortable…stool in the kitchen was dirty & scruffy…wonky kitchen tap
- Marc (10/5): -
- Corey (8/5): -
- Virginijus (8/5): -
- Cottam (9/5): - Convenient location
- Maria (10/5): A definite must!! - Spotless, friendly, comfortable and quiet hotel. Easy to access and close to all amenities. A lovely place to stay would definitely stay here again 😄😊 Everything was perfect no complaints with my stay
- Paul (9/5): Was very nice and clean and comfortable. Had a delicious fish and chips down stairs in the bar. - Was very nice and clean and good facilities in the room I don’t have any negative to say
- Skye (9/5): -
- Jose (10/5): Great place to be - In the heat of the city so walking distance to pubs, restaurants shops etc
Stylish and spacious rooms with a friendly bar and restaurant. Staff very happy and ready to help.
Car park is private which is brilliant but even if it's full, there are secure parking for £2,50 24 hours with CCTV one minute walking to the Hotel door.
Over all a wonderful experience
- James (8/5): -
- Pete (10/5): Great Stay - Rooms, bar, food and staff are all great! Stayed many times and always had a brilliant experience. Would definitely recommend it. N/A
- Simon (10/5): -
- Clare (9/5): Overall, a very good stay: clean, comfortable and well suited to a working visit, with just a few practical enhancements - I stayed here for four nights while working locally and found it a very comfortable and practical base.
The room was excellent for a longer stay. It was spacious, with a very comfortable bed and a useful walk-in wardrobe that made it easy to settle in properly rather than living out of a suitcase. The bathroom was spotless, with a good, powerful shower and lovely fluffy towels, which made a real difference after long working days.
The kitchenette area was particularly helpful. Having a kettle, toaster and fridge meant I could prepare simple meals and snacks, which added flexibility to my stay. For me, a microwave would have made this space even more functional, especially for a four-day visit. There were a few minor areas for improvement, though none detracted significantly from the overall experience. The bathroom mirror is unlit, which made it less suitable for applying make-up. The guest Wi-Fi was not working during my stay, so I relied on my own mobile data throughout. In addition, the hotel car park, which is a short walk away, was full each day. I therefore used nearby public car parks instead. They are free between 6pm and 8am, so this was manageable, but dedicated parking would have been more convenient.
- Holly (1/5): Would never recommend - Nice design and food Terrible customer service. Paid extra for upgraded room. Was not given this room and when complained told there was nothing we could do. Very noisy and not much around.
- Stephen (5/5): Shame - Nice room. Telephone not working in room so no room service as advertised.
- simon (10/5): Clean, Central and good value for money. - The bedrooms we a very good size, but the ensuite was very tight. Everything was very clean, and the staff were helpfull. These are very minnor issues, but they only did a continental breakfast. And the room I was alocated was up 3 flights of stairs, (a long way when you are knackered at the end of the day). Minor points as I said.
- Simon (10/5): Loved it - The room was massive and clean and the bed was very comfy. Excellent for the price. The shower was amazing. I would go back just for that.
The food in the bar was amazing but a little pricey. There was no internet available on the customer wifi, this also meant several of the features on thw TV didnt work.
The car park is also not in the locatin described. Its actually behind the nearby derby inn. Both are minor complaints. I would absolutley stay again.
- Keiran (10/5): Awesome as always - Clean and tidy The curtain needs checking in one of the rooms
- Keiran (10/5): Awesome thanks - Clean and tidy The curtain needs checking in one of the rooms
- Keiran (10/5): Awesome as expected - Clean as a whistle The curtain needs checking in one of the rooms
- Keiran (10/5): Awesome as always - Clean as always The curtain needs checking in one of the rooms
- Keiran (10/5): Awesome as always - Always clean The curtains in one of the rooms are holding on by a thread, they need looking at guys
- Sarah (6/5): - Room was spacious. Wasnt told upon booking that the bar / restaurant was closed for the weekend until we got there.
The hot tub bath couldnt be used as it had lots of black bits coming out of the jets into the bath.
- Amiral (10/5): Clean and convenient location -
