The facilities were absolutely beautiful—everything felt thoughtfully designed, clean, and relaxing, making it the perfect place to unwind. The villas themselves were comfortable and well-appointed, and the overall atmosphere of the property is peaceful and high quality. What really stood out was the staff. Every team member we interacted with was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely helpful, which made the experience even better. The restaurant was another highlight. The food was outstanding—fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. It was easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had while travelling. Overall, Bangalay Villas delivered a fantastic experience with excellent facilities, wonderful staff, and incredible food. If there was one thing I had to pick out, maybe the food options but no fault of their own due to the location of the villas.
• Rachel (8/5): Gorgeous facilities and surroundings, let down by the service in the restaurant - The hotel is beautiful and presented very well. The allure of the surroundings, the gorgeous villas and the lovely reception staff is unfortunately dampened by the poor and slow service in the restaurant. We went as a family with a newborn and a toddler to dinner at a 530 booking and then the following morning again for breakfast. At dinner it took close to 50minutes for entrees to arrive and our toddlers nuggets and chips took 55 minutes; there were only 3 other groups in the restaurant at the time. Compounding this I was served 2 glasses of oxidised wine - the first wine not being the wine I ordered. The staff were pleasant and happily exchanged the glasses but the wait staff should know to check a bottle hasn’t been opened too long before serving. Breakfast the next day took an hour to arrive after ordering! I have seen this has been written by quite a few other people in reviews before - I hope that the owners can take it on and this can be improved as it would make the experience much more enjoyable. Otherwise we loved our stay and exploring the area and are grateful for the lovely warm welcome we received by Amanda. Service/speed at the restaurant

• Noelle (8/5): Tranquil and aesthetically pleasing villas, had fun horse riding, swimming at the beach, kayaking and fishing. - Love the external architecture, loved the swimming pool and the proximity to the beautiful beach. The bathroom :( was extremely dark and when we showered the water would go all over the room. I think it would be good to have better lighting and also a freestanding glass screen. Also could not reach the window for air so it was so foggy after a shower. Also I wish the restaurant was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner daily because it was hard to organise meals for the children everyday during our stay as we are not familiar with the area and what’s available. There was no staff onsite at times to ask for help.

• Abby (10/5): Perfect family getaway. 2 hours from Sydney, beachfront, excellent food and rooms. Just perfect! - We loved our stay! They had thought of everything. Beautiful clean rooms and gorgeous gardens. Heated pool for children with shallow ledges for younger kids. Amazing food! Right on the beach. Close to berry and other lovely towns. Perfect stay! Nothing.. it was so beautiful! If I were to nit pick- I would add a hot spa near the pool for colder months… but it’s truly excellent as it is.

• Marie (10/5): A little bit of luxury - Spent 2 niggts with my gorgeous daughters for a little R&R. The staff are beautiful and friendly, the villa was clean, comfortable and stylish with all the amenities you need. Amanda was amazing and so hospitable. The in villa massages are WOW. Bangalay dining s great quality food, just limited options and small portions for a high price point. They need a breakfast menu, I didn't love the in room breakfast as there was only 1 option. The reception was never attended.

The Villas are extremely comfortable and with plenty of room and a huge comfy bed! Decorated beautifully . Restaurant served up a delicious meal for dinner with a great wine and cocktail selection ...unfortunately restaurant wasnt open all the time. Beach at the back door of the property was very accessible. We over looked the golf course which was our favourite thing to do while we stayed. Bowling club and take away chinese in town were our other choice of dinners when the restaurant wasnt open. TV could have been a big bigger.....but otherwise nothing else

The Bangalay Restaurant is outstanding. The quality of the food is exquisite and perfectly prepared. The service is excellent as well.
• Shane (5/5): Disappointed, not worth the price - Out of the four nights we were there the restaurant was only available on one night. Closed for two and booked for a wedding the other. We only found that out during our only booking at restaurant. Bar was barely open during the day.

Accommodating staff. Excellent base for exploring the area. There's room to rethink the breakfast experience for in house guests. We had to wait quite a while for our breakfast on the weekend owing to it being popular with large groups of non-residents. We also felt the luxury/hatted positioning was let down by a lack of separation of the two.

• Raemike (10/5): Birthday weekend getway - Everything, we celebrated my husbans birthday weekend here, just amazing. Beautiful ambience, romantic and wonderful decorated. Very private. Awesome fireplace and had a great night sleep. The restaurant is just divine. Staff and warm and friendly and excellent service. Front of house staff gave us some fantastic recommendations for wineries, and local attractions that we shouldn't miss, will definitely be back soon. Nothing. It was fabulous.

The restaurant is lovely although it’s expensive and has a limited menu. The pool is gorgeous but has very limited loungers and umbrellas. Also there were lots of young, noisy children so it made it difficult to relax. Definitely takes away from the ‘luxury’ feel of the property.

We can’t wait to v - Tranquil location by the beach, beautiful pool area, delicious restaurant on site, attention to detail and amenities in the villas, loved the scented candle and local wine to take away. Slightly in the pricier side, but we booked last minute, close to Christmas, so it was understandable.

• Mere (8/5): Very good - Enjoyed staying at Bengalay, the room was lovely and were welcomed to a lovely bottle of local sparkling to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Our first morning we waited over an hour for breakfast as locals are able to eat here, I do think guests staying orders need to be prioritised. We spent around $450 for a 5 course dinner and wine, it was a little frustrating that they served the same corn fritter as part of the degustation as they served for breakfast. Seemed very strange!!
