• Ian (9/5): Spectacular views and great find in this stunning little sea side town/village - What a great hotel - amazing location and view over the beach from the room was exceptional - could not resist sleeping with the window open to listen to the waves and let the fresh sea air come in. Staff were really great and accommodating, even when I booked the wrong month and needed to move it. The restaurant in the evening was very good helped by the view ! Rooms are getting a little tired and old - while not an issue for me it does feel like like a re-furb would make this a 4 star hotel - but then the price does reflect this and it is great value.

• Alexandra (6/5): - La localización es inmejorable. Nuestra habitación tenía visibilidad reducida, teníamos las escaleras de bajada a la playa enfrente de las ventanas al mar. Cualquiera que bajara o subiera teníamos veía y no tienes las vistas completas al mar. Una pena. El personal de cafetería por la mañana no es muy agradable.

• Rita (10/5): We enjoyed our stay and hope to return someday - The ocean view was amazing. We got to see a beautiful sunset and sunrise from our window. We were walking the Camino and arrived early. Our room was ready so they let us check in early and gave us a great recommendation for food nearby. Breakfast the next morning was fabulous. We would definitely stay here again.

• Hinrich (10/5): Traumhafte Lage, super Preis-Leistungsverhältnis - Das Hotel liegt direkt am Strand, aus den Zimmern hat man einen direkten Blick auf den Strand. Keine strörende Straße, keine störenden Geräusche, einfach nur Meer und Strand. Äußerst schön. Die Betten sind sehr bequem und groß. Das Hotel ist sauber und das Personal sehr freundlich. Uns wurde ein sicherer und trockener Platz für unsere Fahrräder im Hotel zur Verfügung gestellt. Es ist nicht alles in den Zimmern auf dem neuesten Stand, aber es funktioniert und ist sauber. Der allergrößte Teil der Einrichtung ist renoviert. Beim Frühstück wäre etwas frisches Obst und ein paar gesündere Optionen schön gewesen; insgesamt bot das Frühstück aber genügend Auswahl.

Una buena elección para quedarse unos días Por poner un pero, hay unas escaleras que bajan a la playa, muy antiguas que entorpecen las vistas, igual no las pueden quitar, es raro que se mantengan. El desayuno normal, pero por este precio tampoco se puede exigir mucho más.

• Maria Dolores (10/5): Fin de semana de carrera Comillas Trail - La atención del dueño, de los trabajadores, el hotel está en un lugar precioso, con unas vistas espectaculares, desconectar, descansar es ideal, y encima te dejan estar con tú perro en el hotel, con un suplemento de 10€ noche. Recomendable quedarse en este alojamiento, desayuno de 10. Y si eres celiaco como yo no tienes problema ninguno, ni para desayunar ni para comer, pues la carta la adaptan a tí No hay nada negativo que decir, todo en este hotel es de 10

• Stephanie (10/5): Es war traumhaft. - Das Hotel war perfekt. Wir haben dort für eine Nacht auf unserem Camino del Norte Übernachtet. Unser Zimmer hatte einen direkten Blick auf das Meer. Wir hatten zwei Zimmer, die durch eine vordere Tür verbunden werden konnte und so hatten wir ein sehr großes Appartement. Die Zimmer waren sehr sauber und die Betten waren sehr bequem. Das Frühstück war sehr gut. Wir können das Hotel auf jeden Fall empfehlen.

• Marius (7/5): Just a hotel for a night - Just common stop on your road with the view to the ocean, beach just down stairs, old town in 20 minutes to walk It is the second generation of hotel owners but you don’t feel anyhow that is under family control, a lot of things have to be renovated- shower sewage is not working properly and you are standing in the water, taps are not being replaced many years and not working properly end etc.

Badet var greit, med gode håndklær. Sengene var komfortable, og et stort pluss er et lite kjøleskap, hvor det også var 2 vannflasker. Vi fikk en god velkomst av resepsjonisten, som ga oss god informasjon om hotellet og byen. Det var parkering rett utenfor hotellet. Det var ikke mulig å få kjøpt noe drikke da vi ankom hotellet.

• Heather Galindo (10/5): Beautiful views and comfortable rooms - Amazing ocean views and waves crashing all night. Nice sized, clean, stylish rooms. Decent cafe but it’s closed on Monday. I didn’t try the restaurant. The trade off for an oceanfront hotel is the hike into old town for food and shopping etc. Normally that would be fine, but I was taking a rest day on the Camino and still got 12k steps just running a few errands. But it’s worth it even if your feet are hurting!

Pues nos pareció desmesurado los precios ,para el desayuno 15 euros por personas y de verdad que no lo valía ,,,reservamos un día para comer y calidad precio es un poco excesivo

• Susanne (8/5): Grandiose Lage. - Wir waren im Hotel Josein in Comillas und haben den Aufenthalt mit gemischten Gefühlen erlebt. Der Preis war absolut in Ordnung, gerade für die Lage. Das Zimmer war eher durchschnittlich und hat schon bessere Zeiten gesehen – vor allem Laminat und Matratzen könnten eine Auffrischung vertragen. Hier gibt es definitiv noch Luft nach oben. Was jedoch alles wettmacht, ist die Lage: direkt am Meer – einfach traumhaft! Der Blick und das ständige Wellenrauschen sind wirklich etwas Besonderes und machen den Aufenthalt einzigartig. Das Personal war durchweg freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir sind mit dem Bus angereist, und auch ohne Auto ist das Hotel gut erreichbar, da es fußläufig vom Ortszentrum liegt. Insgesamt würden wir 8 von 10 Punkten vergeben – starke Lage und Atmosphäre, mit kleinen Abzügen beim Zimmerkomfort.

Its off season w there only E w so we understood that the breakfast buffet didn’t include normal items like eggs and individual yogurts. But it was tasty and met our needs.
