• Shannon (10/5): My stay has been very comfortable. - Comfy beds! Comfy rooms! Very friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere! Clean toilets and good, hot showers. Nothing to dislike.
• Matias (1/5): The place is a shithole - The backyard is nice I didn’t like the place at all. I’ve never seen a hostel so dirty, the kitchen was completely disgusting, there was bedbugs in the bedroom, the sheets provided were full of bood and who knows what else, there was bathroom installations were horrible, one of the sinks didn’t work at all, and there were wholes on the shower walls, like made to spy on the person that is showering right next to you, i can say this because of the placement of the little holes, clearly intended. Also the doors of the bedrooms and the door keys didn’t work properly you almost have to break it to be able to open it. All of that for a really high price compared to what is provided. If it was like 20/30aud the night i wouldnt say all this but it’s way off price for the installations.

• Jana (5/5): - Staff was very friendly and helpful Quiet times were not respected and none of the staff was enforcing them. Loud chatter and laughter until late in the night (2am and later) while trying to sleep in the room next to the garden area. Kitchen was not clean with food scraps on the counters etc. Washing machines smelt strongly like mold. Only cold wash accepted. Clothes did not come out clean (stains and smells remained). Several other guests rested their dirty feet on the tables where people were eating. Overall the worst hostel during our trip. Luckily we only stayed 2 nights.

• Fabian (9/5): - Das Hostel hatte einen richtig guten Vibe – sehr entspannt und offen. Es waren Leute aus aller Welt da, alle super freundlich und gesellig, was für eine sehr soziale Atmosphäre gesorgt hat. Die Zimmer waren einfach, aber gut ausgestattet und hatten jeweils eine kleine Terrasse, was wir richtig schön fanden. Insgesamt ein unkomplizierter, angenehmer Aufenthalt mit tollen Menschen. Weniger ideal war die Badsituation – es gab nur zwei Badezimmer, eines davon gemischt, und dieses lag auf der anderen Seite des Gebäudes. Die Küche war zur Hauptzeit ziemlich voll, eher klein und nicht immer sauber, mit nur einem Herdbereich mit vier Platten. Insgesamt war die Sauberkeit im Hostel okay – weder besonders sauber noch wirklich schmutzig. Ein echtes Highlight war aber, dass regelmäßig Kakadus auf die Terrasse kamen und sich mit Erdnüssen füttern ließen.

• Selina (6/5): Would not book it again - Free parking, decent location, friendly staff. Rooms have decent size and room for storage. Interior is quite old and it smells in the rooms. In the bathroom, they have some candles and oil so it does not smell. Kitchen is one of the dirtiest I have seen in my 6 weeks in Australia.

• Rebecca (5/5): Glad to leave - The hostel is in a good location. 5 minutes from the greyhound coach stop and around 10 minute walk from the town. We booked a double private room. The room was clean and had a view into the garden. Even though the bathrooms are shared, we didnt find ourselves waiting to go to the toilet or have a shower. There's even a girls only bathroom. Most of the hostel is surface clean only, and could do with some updating. The kitchen was always really busy and the fridges packed with long term guests food leaving now space for anyone else. Cupboards had a layer of grime around glasses and mugs. As with any hostel, your sleep is determined by how considerate other guests are. In our case they weren't. "Quiet time" is from 10pm but guests were partying well into the early hours. We had a group of girls who would run up and down the halls each night shouting and screaming. The rooms provide no soundproofing at all. We never saw the on-site manager enforce any of the rules. Unfortunately we didnt get much sleep at this hostel. We arrived after the cyclone so the garden was a bit of a mess and the pool unusable. Most of the facilities need updating, such as the rusty gym equipment im the garden.

Close to beach and down town, port and Greyhound bus station also by walking. Approximately 5 minutes. Rooms are ok. Clean toilets. Dirty common area.

• Savanna (4/5): - Staff were nice. The room and common spaces (bathrooms/kitchen) were always very filthy. There were too few toilets and showers for the amount of people staying there. The AC in the room was right next to my face making it difficult to sleep due to the noise and cold air blowing. Unfortunately, due to it being so unclean and lots of people in too little space, we wanted to be at the hostel as little as possible.

• Hendery (10/5): - 社長ご夫妻はとても親切でした。私たちはもともとMirage Whitsundays ホテルを予約していたのですが、私の頭が鈍くて、よく確認せずに1月に予約してしまい、妻は激怒して私を殴り罵りました。当日、他のホテルを再予約すると数倍も高く、この旅社に助けられ宿泊できたのですが、妻は相変わらず私に文句を言い続けました。仕方なく社長にキャンセルを相談したところ、予想外にも社長は難色を示さず、私たちは感謝すると同時に申し訳なく思っています。ご迷惑をおかけしました。ご繁栄をお祈りします。ありがとうございます。👍

• Iris Zout (8/5): Cruise, chill vibe if your expectations aren't super high! - Great cruisy vibe with many other long term people. If you're not long-term, don't fret! Everyone is still pretty chill and open to each other. There was such a relaxed vibe and it wasn't too far from town centre, very walkable. You can also easily take the local bus (very cheap!) if needed. Just small rooms (only 4 people per room) which made it cosy and very approachable. Also, the aircon in the rooms, makes the rooms very nice temperature and very good conditions to sleep in (no sweating there!). Loved the overal vibe and the hammocks! Facilities are a bit older, but it's okay if you don't have too high expectations. If you're upper bunk though, there is no privacy curtains so you don't get the privacy that the bottom bunks get. No (personal) light or plugs close to your bed, so you have to get out of bed to have light and/or charge your phone or other things. There is a 'safety' box, but it just fits a laptop and other small stuf. If you're bringing camera's or other big equipment, you can't lock it.

• Ellen (6/5): Okay - Das Hostel ist lediglich 10 Minuten von dem Greyhound-Bus-Stop entfernt. Es gibt verschiedene Aufenthaltsbereiche, was sehr schön ist. In dem Badezimmer hängen verschiedene witzige Sprüche aus, was sehr unterhaltsam ist. Bei dem nächstgelegenen Toiletten & Duschen hat es sich um gemischte Bereiche gehandelt. Es hing zwar ein Schild aus, dass es auch eine Female-Only-Toilette gäbe, jedoch habe ich diese nicht gefunden. Draußen gibt es Möglichkeiten, um nasse Wäsche aufzuhängen, jedoch waren diese die ganze Zeit über voll, weshalb es nicht wirklich möglich war nasse Handtücher anständig aufzuhängen.

• KT (10/5): - The other travelers were kind, the vibe was awesome, my dorm mates were very helpful and so was the front desk. A bit messy, but not a surprise when so many guests are present.
• Paul (7/5): Good for short stay - Good Location. Short walk to town centre. Great for a couple night stay although there looked like they were a few long termers there which wasnt an issue. The cubicles in the mens batrooms have a very low door frame that i and other people smacked our head on multiple times.

• Sharon (9/5): - It was a relaxed atmosphere. Very rustic style building. Staff were very helpful. Poor lighting outside of a night. The doors to the outside only had a chain lock. It was a bit cramped in the hallways and kitchen/ dining area.
