• mamabelz (4/5): Fantastic views - The view is breathtaking! But now that I am home, I have insect bites to deal with. Really bad. I don’t know if it’s from the bed, the sand or the dining room. The room- it’s from the 90s. The door and windows have gaps so insects could have come From there or from the ceiling (anahaw leaves). The mattress is a two-inch foam. The shower has no hot water. True, the pool had a slimy bottom. One can walk to vanilla beach for 20-30mins each way if the golf cart road is too scary for you. This is the reason why nobody would pick you up from the hotel directly. Food choices were limited. Not everything was on the menu. The graciousness of the staff though was top-rated. Can’t fault them. The coconuts could fall on your head at any moment. It was not regularly tended. Hazardous!

• Ferrel (8/5): Great location! - Amazing location with bungholes on the beach. Peaceful, serine and a 20 minute walk on the beach to Vanilla Beach if you need more excitement. Sunsets were fantastic. Would go back in the future.

• Timothy (10/5): - This place is beautiful. The staff was amazing, very kind and friendly. They do everything they can to help you however they can. Our hut or housing was very nice and on the porch was 2 comfortable chairs and a hammock which was a very nice touch. Some people were saying that the water for showers were cold and my girl did too, but i just left it running for a couple minutes and it heated right up and stayed that way. They do have scooter rentals and free rides into town but to get to the resort is pretty wild. Overall 10/10 experience.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating and could be reached in a timely matter. We were only able to stay one night, but we wished we could stay longer!
• Michael (10/5): - Dolarog Beach Resort is off the beaten path. The location is private, serene, and the most beautiful place I've ever visited. Our cabin/bungalow was literally 35 steps from the water and 35 steps away from the sea water pool. The views from this resort are beautiful. No matter where you are on the resort, you have a perfect view of the water and other islands. As the sun set in the evenings, the views kept improving every few minutes. I can't describe how beautiful the changes in light and color were. I would think that I had the perfect picture, then the light would change slightly or the sky would turn the a different shade of orange - making another perfect photo-op. The restaurant on site had a terrific menu and we enjoyed every drink, meal, and dessert during our stay. The resort staff was top notch and took care of every detail to ensure the perfect stay. I suggest taking a private tour of the other islands using the resort's speed boat. What an experience! I will definitely return.
• Pontus (10/5): Avslappning och vacker utsikt - Ett väldigt fint boende precis vid vattnet och lite avsides från El Nido. Ni som vill ha lugn och ro kommer trivas utmärkt här! Vackert och välordnat med bra städning. Vänlig personal har de med. Enda minuset för oss var den långsamma servicen vid lunch och middag. Vi fick vänta länge på mat och dryck vid en del tillfällen. Avståndet till El Nido är inga hinder för att ta sig dit. Boendet har en golfbil som skjutsar en till närliggande Vanilla Beach. Eller så går man dit längs stranden! Därifrån tar man bara taxi och är framme på cirka 10 min. Vattnet utanför väldigt fint och badmöjligheter är goda. Det är inte speciellt djupt dock. Allt som allt är Dolarog en härlig plats och jag kan rekommendera det för alla som vill slappna av och njuta!

• LJB610 (10/5): Amazing location, great views, a hidden gem ! - A little off the beaten track, well actually a long way off the beaten track but an amazing location. The hotel does advise access to the location is via a steep road and local taxis, trikes, etc will not go there. However the hotel does provide a free shuttle using golf carts. We had one of the beach front bungalows which was literally 10 steps from the water. Good size room with a full size tub and separate shower with rainfall shower. Large comfortable bed and good a/c. Large flat screen TV with satellite channels. Breakfast available daily with a choice of international or Filipino food. Good coffee. In the evening the restaurant served a variety of international dishes but they do prefer you to order in advance. A reasonable selection of beer , wine and spirits are available. The staff are very helpful and friendly and happy to accommodate any special requests. The hotel can arrange tours and scuba diving trips. It also has it's own power boat which can be rented , complete with driver.
• Jeffrey (10/5): - I give this resort an overall rating of excellent because the staff and the views compensated for the negatives of which there were a few. Bottom line is it’s no 5 star, probably more like a 3 but the views were stunning and well worth it.
• Montana (8/5): - Overall, a pretty sweet location, beautiful salt-water pool infinity pool, absolutely loved that it was filled with sea-water and also resort had beautiful beach access.
• Tammela l (4/5): Stranded - The only advantage this place has is location. I say this because there is a beautiful view and beach water front. The cabanas are old and need refurbishing. The bathroom tiles are broken and the water pressure is poor. They are dark, dirty, and uninviting. The pool area is almost unusable. The furniture has no cushions and looks old and weather beaten. The pool water is straight out of the sea and is so cloudy I question the bacterial health of the water. Although the staff is friendly we never really knew who to ask for what. Always trying to find someone to answer our questions. Food service is disorganized. Simple thing like water, salt/pepper, hot water, napkins have to be sought after. The only way to get off property is a rocky road by golf cart (10 min) or 20 minute walk down the beach to the vanilla beach area. Neither of these are a good idea after dark, so you are pretty much stuck here for dinners. For the price I think there is better value elsewhere.
• Shaun Mae (10/5): - Love love love this resort! The stay and hospitality was more personalized! The staff were all accommodating and friendly and easy to deal with! We had the romantic dinner at the dock with a beautiful setup. This place is very underrated out of all the resorts in El Nido seems like. Nothing can beat the calmness and relaxing environment after going around town. Our vacation felt really slow and breathable in this place which was all we could ever ask for. Thank you Dolarog! We are definitely coming back!
• G751SRbrianr (4/5): Disappointed - Poor management of staff and facilities is why I rated the resort a fail. Shabby, dirty, worn out furniture, non functioning rusty game room for example. We stayed 10 nights with the swimming pool only usable for two of those days. The sea water flushing pump is totally inadequate. It takes two days to drain and another four days to refill with cloudy sea water and the cycle is repeated. Also there is real danger of falling coconuts with or without wind.
• Timothy (10/5): - My wife and I spent our honeymoon there. We had a wonderful time it was exactly what we had hoped it would be and then some. The restaurant is excellent staff,food,service etc. For me I have no problem with pets but i must say when I'm having dinner i'm not a fan of having a dog resting his chin on my table while I'm eating. The pets shouldn't be allowed to roam around the restaurant while you're guests are trying to enjoy their meal.I think many of your future guests would feel the same way. And for some it might be a deal breaker for retutun bussiness as well as referrals. As for us we just asked the staff to take the dogs away from our table and they quickly did so. Just our thoughts.

• George (6/5): - I vacationed at Dolarog Beach with my girlfriend for 6 days. If you’re looking for an exotic, off the beaten path, quiet place on the beach, with a very friendly and courteous staff, you will absolutely love Dolarog Beach Resort. But if internet connectivity and air conditioning are necessities (as it was for me), think twice about this resort. Although there is free WiFi in the common area (the restaurant/bar area) I could not download a movie and barely send a work email. Although there was an air conditioner in the room, it was rendered nearly ineffective as the room/bungalow lacked insulation (if you freak out over bugs & creepy crawlers, you will have difficulty relaxing at this resort). The kitchen produced good food, but even though I love pets, the dogs in the dinning area detracted from my enjoyment of the food, and my tolerance was stretched.

The beach was very private (just how we liked it) but if your looking for something with a little more night life or more restaurants, your only a 15min walk up the beach. We can't wait to come back in the near future!

• alex-viaparadise (8/5): Nice vacation - The cottages are lovely and clean located near the beach. You can totally relax away from el nido and still go for dinner at a nice restaurant just by walking along the beach (takes around 20-30 min to walk to vanilla beach and have to consider the tide!). The breakfast was good, but otherwise we wouldn't recommend eating there - we tried the new year's eve dinner which was overpriced and a normal dinner when we got cold meat and seafood in a vegetarian dish! Also the food didn't come at the same time, so you couldn'r really enjoy eating with your partner. We booked through agoda and they didn't answer any of our emails or calls. The day of our arrival we finally got someone who answered the phone and organised a private transfer from puerto princesa ( around 6500 pesos). They also have a free ride by golf cart from mcdonalds/ vanilla beach to the resort. If you want to go to el nido a tricylce from mcdonals costs 150pesos.
• Emma (10/5): - Outside of El Nido town, so relaxing and peaceful. Beautiful beach and views, walkable to Vanilla Beach. Owner of the Dolorog Beach Resort brought us to the pick up area for the tours and came to pick us up always on time. We requested fresh coconuts and the next day it was delivered to our cottage. Staff are super! Will definitely stay there again!

• CHRISTOPHER H (4/5): - Beautiful view, this property is in need of management. Each issue that came up was addressed by line staff employee. Requested upgrade because our unit didn’t have TV. Room move but TV had no signal and they were unable to repair. Stayed one night out of three. On the bright side, Both female employees were helpful and the attentive. By the way we were the only guests staying at the property.
• rembaltazar (10/5): Dolarog Beach Resort, a true pet friendly resort with an amazing view! - Dolarog, a true pet-friendly resort! The resort in itself is superb! It’s like a hidden gem of El Nido and the greatest thing about it is it’s truly a pet-friendly haven! What I like about it is that it’s still in the main island but gives off that exclusive feels. We stayed for 8 days in total at the beachfront villa called Lagen which is a few meters from the beach overlooking their jetti way and that awe-inspiring giant limestone directly in front of our villa. Getting to the resort is other via speedboat or their private access road from Vanilla Beach using a golf car. You know that you’ll have an excellent stay when the owner, Mr. Edu picks you up(or sometimes the son) from Vanilla beach for a more personal touch. How hospitable right? He also has a selection of Italian wines from his cellar as he is Italian, I had Chianti btw over dinner with the beach, stars and the moon as our backdrop. Truly magical! The rooms are always kept clean by the staff who are also very friendly. The main Receptionist, Tata is attentive and very pleasant not to mention very informative. I would take her as my head of staff if only I could! She knows her products and knows when to recommend it, the type of staff who is not in your face all the time to promote an offer. I must say she is one of the nicest resort staff I ever come across with. Food is relatively good. Home cooked and unpretentious. As with any advice when you go to a limited supply area such as El Nido, don’t get your expectations too high on having a western dish so much because obviously, you will have some issues so I only ordered I know locally sourced here like seafood or their filipino dishes like the menudo and chicken curry which are my faves! Filipino breakfast is good. You might wanna carry spare powerbanks as the resort rely on their own generator for electric supply. From 6am-9am and 12noon-6pm there is no electric power. Also, TV is not available (not sure abt other rooms though) but who needs a TV anyway? It’s not like you chose to go to El Nido and sit all day on Netflix and stay indoors duh! I rented a motorbike for 500/day basis and this really helped me in exploring or going out of the resort but the resort offers complimentary shuttle via their golf car to Vanilla beach for free but I wanted to leave and come back on my own time. This is also a 20 minutes walk to Maremegmeg beach by beachside access. Tricycle ride cost between 150 going to town from Vanilla beach btw. Overall our experience is a great 4.5/5 with .5 leaving for improvement on the land access before the Dolarog gate. Also, I’m pretty confident even without any advertisement or active social media promotion, the resort will do just good but let me tell when I posted 1 picture of Dolarog on my socmed, people flocked my DM to ask if I was in another country. This is how beautiful the resort is but I hope that with how Millennials pick up on their next destination is mostly through social media, the resort put up an active social media especially on IG. This will surely increase their number of visitors. By the way, my dog Bailey barks that he had the best time of his life in Dolarog! I hope the local government pays more attention to tourism in El Nido. Please install lights on the public areas before getting into the Dolarog property as well as their national highway. We can beat other neighboring countries in terms of tourism if the local government invest on improving roads. We cannot just rely on the natural beauty of the island.

• 888james88 (2/5): DO NOT GO THERE!!!! - Located in the middle of nowhere. Nothing to do there. Overpriced. Outdated. No water pressure for shower. Cant dry clothes outside overnight coz of stray dogs & monkeys. Food was so so. Extremely poor wifi or simply no wifi at all. Algae in pool...looks very dirty. Waited for 2 days before they installed a mosquito net. Beach looks nice but you cant have a proper swim coz of too many rocks and corals. The place is dead. There was only 2 other couples when we were there. AND they charge me 300 pesos for a broken glass. 300pesos!!!! I can buy same stupid glass back home for 38 pesos!!!!

• Eva769 (10/5): Excellent service and best seaside views in El Nido - We stayed in January in the hotel and was the best hotel we could have chosen- the views are spectacular, it’s quite and you can spend whole day on the beach, hammock or cayacking to other beaches, snorkeling.... If you want a romantic vacation- this is the right place. Dinners are in an European style and very delicious. Staff is great

• Verified traveler (10/5): - From the moment we landed, our bus driver sir edwardo was incredibly kind and accomodating, he went out of his way to find us a local restaurant at the boat pick up spot- the captain and his crew waited for us to have lunch before taking us to the resort where we were welcomed by the beautiful staff who had arranged for the room to be covered in rose petals, two bottles of wine and an incredible bouquet of flowers shipped from puerto Princesa at my request. The cabin was incredibly clean, comfortable and quiet...even though we were there during wet season and whilst a typhoon was building up. We had nothing but beautiful service from our new friend and beautiful waitress Zharlaine, who was happy to help in any way possible to make us feel happy and comfortable. The manager matteo and his beautiful wife were incredibly relaxed and welcoming the entire stay, and went out of their way to go buy us board games because of the weather. The women who do massages and clean were so lovely and kind and talented....I honestly have absolutely nothing to fault about this place. The food, the service, the atmosphere were all amazing. My partner and myself felt as if it was our home almost instantly. For anybody who loves to get away from all the hustle and bustle and just wants to enjoy nature and relax, I would tell them to stay here. We will be returning to stay here whenever we choose to holiday in el nido. Thank you to all the beautiful staff who made our holiday amazing

• Verified traveler (8/5): - This resort is located outside El Nido town, 15 minutes by boat. The views from the resort are amazing, but after a couple of days it feels a bit isolated, especially if you need to buy something in the town - the hotel provides free boat transfer on check-in and check-out day, but other than that a boat ride to the town will cost you $30. Dinner is fixed menu, but don't worry about that, the staff will do their best to fulfill your meal preferences. The resort also organizes half-day boat tours, we had the opportunity to take Snake Island tour and really enjoyed it. Also, bear in mind that El Nido has regular power cuts, make sure that you juice up your powerbanks because the electricity is available from 6pm until midnight.
• no_l404 (4/5): 1 night - Looks like beautiful outside , but nothing incredible , expensive for the room and the aminities. No one is here for guive you a good services !! If you want to go in town it’s relly expensive with the boat. They have other place really better !

• Verified traveler (10/5): - Super schönes Resort, abseits vom Trubel in El Nido. Essen ist super lecker und wirklich ausreichend. Personal erfüllt alle wünsche. Bootstour war super, nicht so touristisch wie die Touren, die man El Nido buchen kann. Wir hatten einen Zimmer im Garten. Zimmer war groß und sauber. Man muss wissen, dass es tagsüber keinen Strom gibt. Ist dann etwas dunkel im Zimmer und man kann keine Sachen laden. Strom gibt es von 6 Uhr abends bis 6 Uhr morgens. Pool ist mit Salzwasser. Fanden wir sehr angenehm. Anlage ist schön und sehr sehr ruhig. Perfekt um ein paar entspannte Tage zu verbringen. Unbedingt die Massage buchen!
• H9832JLdavidl (8/5): Lovely staff, very quiet at the time of visiting. Good budget hotel. - Hotel only accessible by hotel ran speed boat. If you aren't using this service (which is free until 5pm) then you have to have walked back across the beach (15mins+) before it gets dark. We stayed for 5 nights, we originally booked the cheapest room but this wasn't amazing and air conditioning didn't work. We paid an additional 100GBP to be upgraded to one of the cottages instead which are significantly better. The two girls providing the service in the hotel are lovely and couldn't be faulted. The food was of a good standard but do not expect fine dining. When we stayed there was nobody in the kitchen during the hours of the day. Therefore the only food available in the hotel were the breakfast and dinner options which are included in the price. The hotel runs free island hopping tours to their guests and this was great as it was just the two of us and the boat staff. A great freebie. Hotel has wonderful views from the beach and dock. If you aren't looking to visit el nido and are happy for a quiet stay in the hotel with your own company then this hotel is absolutely perfect. I said I didn't want seafood when arriving and the hotel tailored the set menu's around my preference.
• J1000KZcharlief (6/5): Amazing view but too pricey - Dolarog Beach Resort’s location is ideal for those wanting tranquility. It is magical but the over £200 a night is more like extortion to what the hotel has to offer. Everything is basic. Electricity is available only from 6pm to 5am and only 2 hours during the day. No fridge, no hair dryer and the internet is really bad. The towels had its days. The bed mattress are so thin and the bed covers are not enough to keep you warm when the air con is on. The resort hasn’t got a proper reception to welcome guests. The food served is substantial but nothing that would wow you. I hope that those who put this resort on their website should actually check that price per night is appropriate.
• jamieleanne56 (2/5): TERRIBLE LOCATION - RESORT DID NOT HONOR REFUND OF 3 NIGHTS AFTER CANCELLING WITHIN 7 HOURS OF BOOKING - If I can only give 0 stars for customer service. I booked Dolarog Beach Resort extremely last minute because the housing accommodations I had at the time did not have enough bed space. I made the booking through Hotels.com at 6:30 pm. At 9 pm at night, I attempted to travel to the resort by a tricycle driver (the standard form of transportation in El Nido). The tricycle driver informed me that he cannot take me there and that I need to call the resort to reserve a boat to pick me up. He also said there are no roads leading to the resort and that the boat is the only form of transportation that can take me there. This was my first time traveling in a foreign country, and my cell phone did not have reception. I was also traveling alone. There was no way I was going to make it to the resort traveling at that hour by myself. I ended up booking another hotel that I could easily get to. Once I had wifi around 1:30 am, I called both Hotels.com and the Dolarog Resort to cancel my room. Hotels.com is typically very good about honoring cancellation within 24 hours, but agent told me that the Dolarog is not willing to honor my cancellation. I called the Dolarog and they said they will cancel, but are going to charge me a cancellation fee, which was the whole amount of $631.48 (3 nights). RIDICULOUS! I explained to them why I was unable to get to the resort, and it had only been 7 hours that had passed since I had made the reservation. They still kept telling me that they are not going to honor a refund. I’ve never had such terrible customer service in my life. Read the find print before booking this resort. You have to call the resort 24 hours in advance to reserve a ferry/boat to take you to the resort. The ferry is about $20 USD each way. Do not book here unless you plan on using a boat/ferry to travel back and forth to the main tourist area, or if you just plan on staying at the resort only during your whole stay.
• Thetooshaz (8/5): This resort felt like I was in the middle of the wilderness - This resort felt like I was in the middle of the wilderness. It felt like an exclusive island that was filled with little cottages alike surrounded by palm trees, wild monkeys and dogs. It was a very urban experience and I felt like an islander. The staff were great and breakfast and dinner were included as part of the package as well as a two-day tour to the islands. The little cottages each had a hammock on the terrace and ours was facing out to the sea. The staff were friendly and it felt like the island was ours. It is defo a good value for the money, however, it did feel a little secluded from everything. Also, bear in mind that the electricity goes off for a few hours a day. It didn’t really affect us because we were out most of the day, but it is annoying at night because it gets stuffy without AC. Also if you want to commute anywhere, then you need to either go by boat or you have to walk when the tide is out. this place is perfect if you just want to lay back and relax.
• Verified traveler (10/5): - La vue et la plage sont fantastiques, l’etablissement est isolé (pas de route) ce qui lui confère un certain charme avec un service de navette pour rejoindre Corong Corong. Cependant, alors que l’endroit paraîtrait idéal pour se reposer, l’etablisse est très bruyant, surtout pour les villas sensées être les plus haut de gamme (beach front) qui sont collés au restaurant et à la réception (wifi donc téléphone donc bruit). On est donc sans cesse dérangé (et personne n’en a rien à faire) et sur plusieurs nuits cela devient insupportable. C’est très dommage. Je vous conseille vivement de réserver les habitant donnant sur le jardins avec ou sans vue mer qui sont plus éloignés.

• Oliver (8/5): Lovely for a quiet getaway - I enjoyed my stay at Dolarog, the sunset views alone make the stay worthwhile! The rooms are comfortable and spacious, the staff are very pleasant and helpful, and the breakfasts and dinners (included) were also good. All in all a lovely place for a quiet getaway!
• holidayengineer (8/5): Hidden gem very relaxing and amazing views - We had a seaview cottage 2 which is the best in our opinion because the view is spectacular. Access to the hotel by boat only and electricity not always on. Beautiful sea water pool surrounded by awesome garden. Food very good and plentiful. Staff incredibly friendly, courteous and very helpful, We had amazing massages everyday by Toning and Edna very reasonably priced! Peace and quiet at the hotel was much appreciated, the only sounds were birds and the waves.
• hannahpO8008OH (2/5): Worst location - boat transfer only - This is a very remote location. Away from any restaurants. Once your there your isolated or have to have an unreliable boat transfer. No roads leading to the hotel. It’s a 25min walk from beach. This is not disclosed clearly when booking. I tried to cancel reservations immediately but hotel not willing to give me a refund.
• andreas (10/5): - Ett perfekt hotell för den som söker lugn, lyx, tystnad, god mat och avkoppling. Väldigt gästvänlig personal. Ingår båtturer till öarna runtom. Otroligt fin strand som du har helt för dig själv. Inte att rekommendera för den som alltid vill ha tillgång till bekvämligheter som el, wi-fi samt gillar att ha närhet till livliga barer, restauranger och minimarkets.
• Verified traveler (4/5): ロケーションは抜群でも - 到着したエルニド空港から迎えの車を事前にお願いしてましてが、1時間待たされました。 スタッフのサービスは悪く、ボートでしか街に行けない為予約したボートも1時間３０分も待たされました。 食事も時間で決められるので、空腹時間が凄くありました。 昼間は電気が使えません。 カップ麺も念の為持って行きましたが、お湯も用意してくれませんでした！ ただ、ロケーションは抜群でした。
• Steven (2/5): Never Staying Again - One of the worst experience we have ever had. Cadlao Resort was half the price and we had a much better experience. I never leave reviews, but was so upset by our experience here that I began to make a list during our stay: - Honeymoon suite cleaned at 3pm after all other suites - Garden suite bathtub outside was covered in green mold / algae and unusable - NO POWER in suite outside of 6pm - 5am, absolutely ridiculous when it was 90 degrees and humid - No hot water our entire stay, said a monkey broke our water heater - Shower was clogged and would not drain - Consistently 1 - 1.5 hour waits for breakfast / lunch - No vegetarian option for girlfriend, gave her lettuce and a few tomatoes at dinner as an alternative - Ants all over suite, expected bugs as a bungalow...but clearly not controlled - Consistently had to ask for toilet paper and clean towels - WiFi rarely ever worked in the restaurant - No power during checkout, used our phone lights to find everything - Resort boat was late for our departure back home - No breakfast on our departure date after we were told they would have it ready at 630, arrived at restaurant before any staff members were there - Saw many disgruntled guests throughout the stay, owner sits around the resort and does nothing - Traveling off resort was difficult unless you are on their schedule - For 400+/night, would NEVER go back

• PatrickLimb (10/5): Beautiful place - I passed this resort by a walk on the beach and jumped in just to drink something so I cannot give a review about the rooms. But this resort seems very nice and the people I meet there were also very friendly. It’s a quiet and beautiful place with a nice beach where nobody is . It’s a very nice place to escape from the everyday hectic life .

• Almog (10/5): Book it now! - Amazing in every way! Especially the service, very warm hospitality and good people! The food was so delicious and the location was beyond satisfying. We’re going to come back for sure!
• kristofferm1995 (8/5): Mixed feelings - Despite all the negative comments about the service, I have to say that the service was high quality! The staff was so service minded, and helpful during our stay. But I also have to mention that it is overpriced. We booked the economy garden view room, but after two days we decided to move to a different room, due to the cockroaches, ants, and other insects. Then we moved to the standard garden view, which was much better quality. The food is better than one might expect, with both local food and more international food. The hotel arranges daily trips (island-hoping and beach trips), which are highly recommendable. All things considered, it is a good hotel with friendly staff, but overpriced.
