- Paul Martin (8/5): Ich würde dort jederzeit wieder hingehen. - Ausserhalb der Stadt umgeben von Einfamilienhäusern in einem ruhigen Quartier. Dar Park welcher zum Hotel gehört ist wunderschön und lädt zum verweilen. Ebenfalls gibt es eine tolle Aussicht zu den riesigen Steinformationen. Dort spielt sich das tägliche Leben der Einheimischen ab. Die Badezimmer sind etwas älter, aber es wird bereits jetzt daran gearbeitet diese zu erneuern.
- Claudio (7/5): Comfortable and relaxing hotel - Good breakfast and restaurant with generous portions. Large hotel in a quiet location with a beautiful garden. All the staff very kind and helpful. It would need more maintenance. The bathroom could be improved. But generally not bad.

- Jörg Erikson (9/5): Perle in Mwanza - Dieses Hotel ist ein Juwel im Bereich Mwanza. Wir waren 5 Nächte hier und haben die entspannte Atmosphäre genossen. Die erhöhte Lage und der Pool ist besonders angenehm. Die Hotel Belegschaft war sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich. Es gibt Verbesserungspotential aber nichts grundlegendes. Donald der Manager hat diese Verbesserungen auf seiner To Do Liste. Wir würden gerne wiederkommen. Die Gemütlichkeit ist Verbesserungswürdig.

Super sympathisches Personal, haben mich als Alleinreisenden gut empfangen und alles für meine Weiterfahrt organisiert. Große sympathische Zimmer mit allem möglichen Inventar, gutes aber einfaches Frühstück, Pool nach Sport sehr angenehm! Nicht alles vom Zimmerinventar funktioniert, hat mich aber nicht gestört, das Wichtigste funktioniert (AC, Kühlschrank, ...) und Preis-Leistung passt trotz dessen!

Pedimos um taxi para nos levarem à fronteira de Rusumo e prontamente nos prepararam tudo. Foram excepcionais. O espaço é calmo e tranquilo. O alojamento precisa de ser melhorado e era importanto que mais turistas fossem para Mwanza. A piscina deveria ser limpa.

- Rick (2/5): Very poor - The only nice thing this trip was a soft, comfortable bed. The room at this hotel was adequate; the bed was comfortable, and that’s where the positives end. Unfortunately, the experience beyond that was unacceptable. First, the bathroom had no amenities—not even toilet paper. There was no water provided in the room either, which was disappointing. We were hoping to have a swim in the pool but it was completely covered in algae and did not look healthy. The dinner service was appalling. After placing our order, we had to wait two and a half hours for the food to arrive. The staff informed us they had to go to a store to buy ingredients. When the food finally arrived, it was cold and served one entrée at a time, with long gaps between each—30 minutes for the next dish, then another 20 minutes for the last one. For the price we paid, this was completely unacceptable. Breakfast wasn’t much better. It was just an omelette with some bread, but cleanliness clearly wasn’t a priority in the kitchen. An hour after eating, I fell ill. Once I returned to town, a doctor confirmed I had contracted dysentery from the food. This was the last straw for me. For the high price charged, the lack of basic amenities, the horrible service, and the health risk, this hotel is absolutely not worth it. I will not be returning and strongly recommend looking elsewhere for a better experience.

- Hayley (7/5): Good amenities, albeit the property is a little out of town on a steep hill. - Lovely staff and the hot water in the shower was fantastic. Good views of Lake Victoria. The room had insects all throughout. The road to the property needs to be paved as is pretty rough. Make sure you like to walk, as this hotel is rather out of the way in a local neighbourhood.
- Suli (1/5): The most bad experiences in my life - The location is terrible no proper access to the hotel in addition no any services you can found in that area The hotel since I arrived there and do the check in from the first day all type of lizards inside my room because all doors not sealed properly after 2 nights the hotel was out of water and I changed the hotel the manager of the hotel isn't say a truth about any concerns that I have been rise and don't have any respect for the customer

Staff stole 100,000 shillings and my gold earrings (that were hidden in my bag) from our locked room whilst we were at breakfast in the morning. The facilities are run down. I would not stay here.

It really - Family a lot with the old man who manages it to spoke good English and don't polite in real gentlemen. Everything else was absolutely 100%. Must take it down as it is dangerous for single female travellers like me There were no facilities there was no restaurant. The food took over an hour to cook and had to be booked an hour in advance. There was no bar to speak of the pool was cracked dirty and disgusting. The room. The shower didn't work. There was no TV that worked. This is a hotel that maybe 10 years ago was okay, but it is reallytotally not acceptable, and Booking.com has totally lost my faith in this booking, very dangerous for single travellers
- Esther (9/5): Superb - A lovely getaway from busy Mwanza . The hotel is comfortable and quiet with a nice swimming pool. The food was really good , best to get your order in a couple of hours before you want to eat . Rooms have hot water and a nice seating area outside . Easy to get a Bolt to / from town for around 6000 TZS Another comfortable outdoor chair would be nice as we had to take turns in the one provided

Great place to watch the sunset, especially if you walk to the large rocks beside the hotel. -Second room was livable. - The receptionist who checked us in. She was friendly and helped us straight away when we had a problem with our first room. -There was a young man working at breakfast. He was working very hard. Charming and attentive. - The owner was charming and nice. - The first room we were given was so dirty. There was dust on top of a lizard dropping. The duvet and towels were filthy, and the room smelt bad. There was remains of party on the floor as there was confetti. We complained and were moved straight away by the nice receptionist. - We were told beer and chips were a certain price in the day, but when we went to pay in the evening, we were charged a lot more. We were also charged in dollars despite being in Tanzania. The staff were extremely rude to us, as well as the lovely young man from breakfast and blaming him and laughing at him down the phone at him. It wasn't his fault he had had little training. This was a very uncomfortable experience and the worst customer service we have received. You can't laugh in customer's faces and expect us to be happy. -Location. Luckily, we had a car. I would recommend having a car if you stay here as it isn't close to anything. - I would recommend mosquito spray as the bathroom is filled with them. I know this is something that can't be helped because of the area, but just some advice. -If you order food there, expect to wait for a long time. -The pool looks as if it has been rejected and nobody looks after it. This may be because there were no other guests?
- Annemie (7/5): Comfortabele kamer en zwembad, basic hospitality - Big room, good bed, large and good working bathroom, water kettle available. They had a nice pool, a bar with a few things and a very kind receptionist Breakfast on the second day was nice. It is located outside of town, calm, somewhat difficult to get a bolt to town, but many boda boda's available. (motorcycles). They forgot to supply water bottles, towels, tea, coffee,... when we arrived but when we asked they arranged this quickly! (very basic, but good). Breakfast was good on the second day, omelet, (cold) pancakes, white bread with butter but nothing to eat with this bread. The butter was expired. After informing them, we still received the same butter the next day... The staff needs some training about their hospitality and kindness to hotel guests, that would have given us a nicer experience... (not the receprionist 🙂) . F.e. at 7am they were moving iron tables across the floor next to our room which made an incredible harsh sound, but they forgot guests were sleeping... Over all a nice hotel to stay, just remember they work by African standards, not Western hospitality 😉

Lovely surroundings. The rooms were perfect. Clean. Well thought through and t very comfortable. The staff were lovely. All very helpful. The owner is a wonderful man, incredibly interesting talk with and very welcoming. Was a perfect stay. There was nothing I didn’t like apart from having to leave
- Ève (2/5): Not worth it. - The bed was comfortable and the room was quite big. The view was also nice, you can see the city and a small part of the lake. My stay was not really pleasant. It is way too expensive for what you get. They also overcharged me because they upgraded me to a better room. I never asked to be updated but they just did and charged me more than the room I initially booked. The food was okay but again too expensive for what you get. They charge everything in USD so the price change according to the fluctuation of the US dollar which doesn't make sense at all because we are in Tanzania. I feel like it is their way to scam people :/ I'm not American, I don't care about the USD, I have Tanzanian shillings so I don't understand why I should pay more because of the US... The staff was also quite rude. They don't care about you and most of them don't speak English so it is very hard to ask for basic things (like juice in the morning for example). I had to beg for toilet paper every day because they never gave me enough and they NEVER cleaned my room. I was there for 5 days might I add and not one day did they do the room. My dustbin was full and nobody emptied it. The facilities were really old, poorly maintained and deserted. There were a lot of insects in the room, I'm talking hundreds of ants, cockroaches, spiders, moths and mosquitos. A little mosquito here and there is understandable but hundreds of ants show a problem. I also had to leave earlier because of a medical emergency and no accommodations were offered. I understand they don't have to offer anything but it would've been nice. All in all, my stay in Mwanza was really tainted by this bad experience.
- Annika (9/5): Superb - The staff were so lovely and went out of their way to make sure I was comfortable, and they even gave me some great transport deals. The hotel was beautiful and had a great view, and I enjoyed being able to swim every morning before breakfast. It's a little remote from Mwanza, which means there's a great landscape around, but does require 15 minutes to get into town (on motorbike)
- Holm (1/5): Scam - Nothing For everything in this world I would never recommend this “hotel” to anyone. The hotel was such a scam, All the furniture was broken, the staff was the most unprofessional (and not speaking English). 2 hours after our arrival we decided to check the opportunity for earlier check out as we really didn’t like to be there nor felt safe. We went to the reception. The receptionist called the owner that introduced himself and after we told about our wish to leave he started YELLING and called us a lot of swear words. We ended up paying for 4 days for a hotel we were in for 2 hours and had the worst food ever that was totally overpriced. When we was about to leave the only other guests at the hotel approached us and asked if we also had the worst experience ever. I would never recommend this to anyone. Don’t make the same mistake as we did.
- William (7/5): Good - Quiet for most part. If they complete the garden, it will be more relaxing. Good views of the sunset. Lots of ants on one of our rooms. Dinner took a very long time to be served. We know it takes about an hour or so for our food order to arrive in Tanzania restaurants. This was almost 2.5 hours before we received our food. We ordered pizza and it was not edible. Worst pizza we ever had. Breakfast was much better. It was already premade when we arrived. Spanish omelette, toast, chapati, and fruit along with coffee and hot milk. There was a birthday party that lasted past midnight. Had called couple of times to ask when party would be over.

- Lindsay (10/5): Gret place to stay. - Amazing place. The people are amazing. The owner, Donald, is an absolute gentleman who goes above and beyond to a make people welcome and feel a home. The staff are so courteous. I want to say a special thank you to Leonard, Luizer, Clement Justony and James. Sorry if I missed any names. The food we have had has been top class. - Cecilia (9/5): It is the place to be in Mwanza! Trust me you will not regret it! - The location is superb! One can take a walk to the lake. The surrounding is quiet. The kids enjoyed the swimming pool and the food was yummy 😋 Service from the kitchen was slow but all in good time.
- Parker (5/5): Passable - Great view of the rocks and sunset over the lake. Got a great deal on Booking but when the manager saw how much we paid he downgraded our room and said that they had already booked the room we booked. Also for a hotel that charges this much in Tanzania, you would expect them to use a generator because power cuts in Tanzania were lasting about 12 hours a day at the time, and we were left in the dark for absurdly long amounts of time.

Also loved all the accessibility you have already done for us as wheelchair users! Looking forward to come back and experiencing the new ramps to the rooms and breakfast area! All that is missing for The Lahe Hotels to be on top in accessibility 😊

The pool was a great bonus! - Quiet, friendly staff, we were very impressed by the fact that we were given access to the hotel vehicle when we required it and at very reasonable rates. The breakfast was good. It is quite a distance from town which made it difficult to get taxis easily (but the owner of the hotel was extremely accommodating regarding transportation).
- Laura (10/5): Peaceful hotel in the hills of Mwanza - The staff was really friendly and helpful, I made a mistake with my reservation and they had no problem resolving it. The environment is peaceful, the rooms are very spaceful and have a beautiful view. They also offer a swimming pool and a restaurant, the breakfast was delicious. Can absolutely recommend :)

- Rick (8/5): Very good - Very nice rooms and very comfortable bed. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would consider staying again. It was very quiet and relaxing. The pool was really nice but I didn't bring a swim suit and it looked like it needed a good scrubbing. A little disappointed with the breakfast; there was no meat [I miss bacon] and didn't have a lot of flavor, very basic but it was sustenance that wasn't that bad.
