- Margaux (10/5): Le meilleur d’Amsterdam - Le petit dej exceptionnel. On en a pour son argent et même + ! Le confort de la chambre et les matériaux utilisés, la modernité. La partie piscine juste incroyable, avec des locaux en parfait état, très propre Parking sous terrain propre, large et très sécurisé. Emplacement idéal. A 5 min à pied du métro et nous qui adorons et sommes bons marcheurs. 1h20 du centre ville à pied, le top du top. Environs de l’hôtel très calmes, safe. Rien à dire. Tout était absolument parfait, je recommande les yeux fermés.

- Dörte (9/5): Sehr schönes Hotel mit sehr freundlichem Personal. Mit der Bahn nur ca. 10 Minuten zum Hauptbahnhof. -
- Matthias (9/5): Top verblijf! - Zeer hygiënisch, rustig en zeker een goede ligging. Dicht bij de metro naar Amsterdam-Centrum 2 van de 4 personeelsleden die we spraken waren niet beleefd. Werkte er precies tegen hun zin.
- Heidi (6/5): - The hotel was very clean and new looking, big and spacious rooms, the spa was lovely and breakfast was excellent! The soundproof of the rooms were really poor. You could hear everything from the hallway or the neighbouring rooms (normal talking, people using hairdryer, people opening cabbinets and people letting their doors to slam shut). Noices kept me waking up many times in the morning esrlier than I would have liked. The staff at reception were not very eager to help or answer questions.

Staff were friendly and the overall stay was enjoyable. The hotel service was disappointing. Staff did not assist with luggage, and room service was inconvenient because guests had to pick up the order themselves instead of having it delivered to the room.

The breakfast was extraordinary, i have never seen so many options in a hotel and the quality was very high. Also the location was good: in a quiet district but not too far away from the city centre. - Anke (1/5): Schönes Hotel, wenn man ohne Auto anreist. - Das Hotel ist sehr gut in der Ausstattung, gute Verkehrsanbindung in die Stadt und das Frühstück hat keine Wünsche offen gelassen. In der angeblichen sicheren Tiefgarage des Hotels(so die Beschreibung auf der Website des Hotels beschrieben), wurde mein Auto aufgebrochen und stark beschädigt. Leider hat sich aus dem Hotel keiner zuständig gefühlt. Am Abend des Geschehen ist keiner mit in die Tiefgarage gekommen, geschweige hat uns Folie zum Verkleben der Scheiben angeboten. Die Hoteldirektion hat sich nicht blicken lassen. Leider , lt. Taxifahrer der uns zur Polizei gefahren hat, sind Autoaufbrüche in der sicheren Tiefgarage in diesem Hotel kein Einzelfall. Da nützt auch das große Tor vor der Einfahrt nichts.

C'etait parfait de pouvoir faire un rapide detour par le spa avant de partir travailler et je ne m'attendait vraiment pas a un spa de cette qualite! L'autre point + c'est la proximite du metro qui fait que en 14 minutes j'etais de ma chambre au centre ville de Amsterdam... Rien... c'etait parfait.

Auch die Lage ist in Ordnung, die Metro ist fußläufig erreichbar und innerhalb von 15 Minuten ist man in der Innenstadt. Die Preise fürs Parken (25h/Tag) sind hoch, aber wohl ortsüblich.

- Megan (9/5): Weekend Break - The room was nicely decorated and clean. The spa facilities were an added bonus The spa needs better keeping up too. There wasn't any shower gel/shampoo in any dispensers, paper cups were frequently missing from the water station -minor changes that could have a big impact. A robe and a pair of slippers were extra, which, given that it's a spa hotel, I think should've been included in the room.

- Schutten (7/5): Goed hotel kom zeker nog een keer terug - goed ontbijt, mooie kamer en vriendelijk personeel. Dicht bij de Metro dat is een pre. Op onze verdieping zijn alle karren van het schoonmaakpersoneel gewoon blijven staan (ook s'nachts) dat geeft een raar beeld.

- bruno (10/5): - l'ensemble de l'hôtel est très bien, les chambres sont spacieuse ainsi que la salle de bain moderne et très confortable. Le petit déjeuner est complet avec du choix vraiment bravo. la réception ne parle pas français et c'est un vrai problème quand ont parle mal anglais.

- Melina (7/5): Schönes, großes Hotel, perfekt für einen Kurztrip - Sehr schöner Ausblick aus dem Zimmer, günstige Fahrräder zum ausleihen ( für zwei Personen: 1 Tag=36 €) In der Minibar jeden Tag zwei kleine kostenlose Wasserflaschen. 20 min bis zum Zentrum mit dem Fahhrad. Kleines Fitness aber ausreichend und kleiner schöner SPA Bereich. Leider jeden Morgen lautes Hauskeeping, da Türen nicht gut geräuschisoliert. Kaffekapseln waren nicht für die Kaffemaschine geeignet, weshalb man sich keinen Kaffe machen konnte. Leider keine anderen Drinks in der Minibar zu Verfügung. Der Fernseher hatte keine Möglichkeit um Netflix anzuschalten.

- Matthew (8/5): Perfect for what we needed and paid. - Location, cleanliness, staff and breakfast all very good. Lovely to have the spa facility - the kids loved it. It’s an older property that has been updated well (particularly the communal spaces) The rooms are clearly a little tired but perfectly serviceable and still represent value for money. Nothing.

- T7295UOarthurk (2/5): Watch and Credit Card Stolen in hotel room, Zero Investigation and support from the hotel - I’ve stayed at this hotel 15+ times and always considered it a safe and reliable place, until my last experience. During my stay in room 812, while I was at breakfast (roughly 9:20–10:20), someone entered my room and stole my watch and credit card directly from my wallet. Minutes later the card was used in Hoofddorp. I reported it immediately at the front desk, sent all details in writing and formally requested an internal investigation. I also filed police reports in both the Netherlands and Germany, exactly as the hotel instructed. The hotel initially said they would check camera footage, housekeeping log and electronic door lock system. At that point I was super optimistic and thought they really had my back. Later they replied with just one sentence: “Now it looks like the door was not fully closed.” Which is btw physically impossible in this hotel, the doors have a strong magnetic automatic closing system. Even if you deliberately try to leave the tiniest gap, the mechanism pulls the door shut with pressure and it locks completely. I stayed at the hotel again just two weeks later and personally tested it multiple times, it is impossible to leave the door even slightly ajar. The hotel knows this perfectly well. After that single reply the hotel went completely silent. All my follow-up emails have been ignored. Three months have now passed. No further updates, no conclusion, no accountability, nothing. Having all the logs, cameras and evidence, they chose to do nothing, protect whoever did it, and simply wait for me to go away. Because of this experience I no longer trust leaving anything valuable in the room. On my next stay I had to carry all my belongings with me to the gym and sauna like a paranoid tourist. That is not how a decent hotel should make its guests feel. I am writing this review not out of anger, but to warn other guests: do not leave valuables in your room at Van der Valk Amsterdam. The hotel has shown that when theft happens, they will not protect you, they will not investigate seriously, and they will not give you answers. They will simply ignore you until you disappear. If you value your property and basic honesty from a hotel, choose another place.
- Hilde (10/5): Wij hebben erg genoten! - Ontbijt en het prachtige uitzicht 17e verdieping. Vreemde (schaam) haar in bad ( daar krijg ik echt de kriebels van) en nee geen fijne kriebels 😅

- Reinier (9/5): - Fijn hotel, prima ontbijt. In het weekend gratis parkeren in de omgeving. Automatische verlichting in de wc, dat is ‘s nachts onprettig. De douche kon alleen aan of uit, had dus geen waterbesparende stand.
