- Deborah (9/5): Lovely hotel in a pretty seaside village. Excellent restaurants, great breakfast. - Comfortable, well appointed room, very nice staff, excellent food, very nice hotel. Everything was excellent but we were slightly disappointed that the sea view was not what we had expected - we could see the sea but only by looking round the corner.
- Linda (10/5): Relaxing treat that renews your soul - The staff really friendly and professional And fabulous food Plumbing a bit noisy but in someways it added to the old school charm
- Elizabeth (10/5): A relaxing break in a hotel with character by the sea. - My gluten free diet was well catered for.
Loved the choice of breakfasts especially The Seaview Sailor.
Loved the meals in The Pump Room.
The lounge was really relaxing. There could have been a few more games to play in The Lounge. Scrabble and a pack of cards maybe.

- Hazel (9/5): Cosy, comfortable stay in a lovely welcoming place - The staff were very welcoming and friendly, there was good communication leading up to our arrival and you felt they were making a positive effort to engage with guests right from the start. Friendly, welcoming attentive lady taking our order at breakfast every day. No extra effort made for vegetarians in the options, other than leaving bacon, black pudding and sausage out of the options, but still a good choice and cooked to order. Porridge was a hot option instead of a cooked breakfast - a variety of cereals and some fruit salad, fruit compote and full fat yogurt also on offer. Toast, selection of jams and chocolate spread, option of a croissant. Nice breakfast room. We had other plans with relatives so did not eat in the restaurant, but again, not a lot of options for a mushroom-sensitive vegetarian (unless you are keen on fish). But it is a small establishment, and they have a good offer. There is a small bar, we enjoyed a drink in there on evening and might have had a sandwich in there if not out every day. The shower in the bathroom attached to our room (down a step) worked well at first touch. Basic tea and coffee supplies (and nice biscuits!) replenished each day. Hairdryer in the cupboard. We didn't use them, but an iron and a fan were also provided. We found the ship-focussed decor in the hotel very interesting to look around, the hotel did feel very welcoming and cosy inside and looked terrific from the outside with its Christmas lights. There was a small lounge and a place to sit in the entrance which we didn't get time to take advantage of. A lot packed into a relatively small area. The staff were very welcoming and friendly, there was good communication leading up to our arrival and you felt they were making a positive effort to engage with guests right from the start. We were glad our visit was in winter rather than summer - for us, parking was ok in that we got a spot on the road outside, at no charge, and had no trouble getting back into it. There is a small car park at the rear of the property but we just could not get our Honda Civic in through the entrance. So close to the sea front no doubt it would be more tricky parking on the road outside in summer, but there is a long stay car park a little distance away so if all else fails, you could drop your bags off and then park up elsewhere. Stairs up to the rooms - for anyone with mobility issues that might be a problem.
- Peter (9/5): Very pleasant - Old quirky hotel located very close to the sea front. The staff were very friendly. It was quite difficult driving into the car park
- Amélie (10/5): I will come back! - Warm welcome

- tim (7/5): We had a lovely stay, Sunday breakfast was fantastic. - Location great. Bed very comfy. Shower was great. The room was dated and the bathroom fittings need updating. The overhead light needs replacing.
- Nick (10/5): - Excellent
- I F Martin (8/5): -
- OxfordJohn (10/5): - Beautifully located. Great room. Fantastic food. Will return
- Elizabeth (10/5): Would I stay here again, without a doubt, yes.A grand traditional welcoming hotel - Beautiful location. Even before arrival, the staff’s communications requesting what can be done to ensure my stay went well. The first person I met was the night manager, he was welcoming and helpful.
The bedroom/bathroom very clean and comfortable. I appreciated the little touches, towelling slippers, and traveling necessities.
I didn’t have the cooked breakfast but I could see the other diners enjoying theirs. The buffet was well stocked. The staff were very polite, friendly and efficient. Nothing, all good.
- nigel (9/5): - Location superb
- Charlotte (7/5): -
- Karen (10/5): A very enjoyable stay. - We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Sea View Hotel which was in a beautiful and quiet location. The rooms were clean and comfortable. There was a very good selection of breakfast options - something for everyone. All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful and responses to messages prior to booking very fast. We would stay here again and recommend. Nothing.
- Nicole (10/5): Exceptional - We loved our stay at Seaview, the location was fantastic. Right on the high street with lovely shops and Lilley's on the corner. it was a miniute's walk to the beach and we loved the bay. We stayed in the two rooms at the back of the hotel which were clean and quiet and very comfortable. The breakfast was top notch and the staff were so helpful.
- Taste51 (8/5): Loved the food, staff and the placement of the Hotel - Food was excellent and the staff very friendly Our bedroom did not have a window which you could open and as a result it felt stuffy, as a consequence the air conditioning unit was kept on all night. Sleep was not always as deep as we would have liked.
- J (9/5): Superb -
- Mrs (7/5): Lovely friendly place! - The very warm welcome from the staff! Who went out of the way to please you. The beautiful surroundings, and the food which was delicious. The room was very hot, with just a fan to keep you cool, no air conditioning. Could do with a chest of drawers to keep personal items in. Lack of plug points one side of the bed. Could do with a small fridge/chiller. And .maybe a safe.
- Jules (9/5): Superb -
- Paul (10/5): Exceptional -
- Cole (9/5): Superb -
- Suzanne (10/5): Exceptional -
- Tessa (7/5): Good -
- Mike (10/5): We didn’t know what to expect but it definitely exceeded our expectations. - The general atmosphere was great. Attentive staff without being obsequious. Room was really first class. The position in Seaview couldn’t have been better. Nothing not to like.
- Julie (8/5): - We booked the hotel for our honeymoon. We booked a premium room which was in the Annex at the back of the hotel we liked this as it was nice and quiet and a very spacious room. The room was clean and very comfortable. We visited the hotel restaurant on our first night and the food was delicious and service good. Breakfast was tasty each morning and all of the staff were polite and courteous. Would recommend.
- Rufus (8/5): Excellent location and clean and well presented hotel with a touch of class about it - Enjoyed the breakfast greatly (Smoked Fish) albeit there was no ability to adapt what was offered for some of my companions It was a bit hot in the bedroom during the late afternoon but resolved by opening the window
- Peter (9/5): Superb - Freedom Long way to room
- Glen (8/5): Very good -
- Karen (9/5): Superb - Beautiful and personal hotel. Great facilities. Restaurant is a real treat with exceptional menu. Staff all very welcoming Nothing really.
- Ashley (9/5): overall lovely good value for money and excellent location - Excellent food in the main restaurant - we had the rolled Sirloin Steak. Lovely upgraded room too. Windows in the room rattled in the wind a bit and the room was a little cold as radiator was not working
- Michael (10/5): Happy to recommend - Friendly staff, nice cosy clean room and good location. Happy to recommend.
- Martin (9/5): I will certainly recommend this hotel to any of my friends who are planning a visit to IOW - The whole experience was exceptional from check-in to check-out. Other hotels I have stayed in should look how this hotel is run. There is nothing I can think of that would have made our stay any better
- Martin (8/5): Very good -
- Amélie (8/5): A place we keep returning to - It is a place with a history and character in a stunning location
The staff is very friendly and helpful.

- David (10/5): Had a lovely stay. Staff were delightful and the food was delicious. We shall definitely return - Great location
- William (8/5): Short but enjoyable visit to a quaint seaside hotel - Nice little seaside hotel with friendly staff. Good breakfast. Pleasant walk along the seafront. Slightly dated decor and facilities are limited. No sensible socket in room to plug in a phone.
- Elizabeth (8/5): We had a restful stay at the hotel and staff were very welcoming - Good location Parking was precarious
- Bennett (9/5): Superb - The location of the hotel was excellent. It had an excellent menu both for breakfast and evening meal.
- Ted (8/5): - A fine hotel. Decent room, good catering with an eclectic choice both at breakfast and evening meal. This is a premium hotel, and it is reflected in quality in most areas. Recommended.
- Gill (8/5): Great location, relaxing stay - Fab location right on the beach and coastal path. Good room, very comfy bed. Parking was tricky. The bar and restaurant could do with an update but food was delicious.
- Hayley (10/5): It is a really nice location, quick access to the beach with amazing views. - The room was spacious, the bed was comfy which give us really good night's sleep. The access on the parking.

- Deborah (9/5): Superb -
- Bryony (8/5): Relaxing - Great location, good restaurant Variable room offering is not clear, older rooms have great Seaview, new modern rooms are excellent but have a car park view
- Lisa (10/5): Had a wonderful weekend away in a beautiful hotel with beautiful weather - Property was clean and very welcoming. Great location. Food was amazing. We went for standard double room which was just right as a couple. Plenty of space and nice touches like water and lots of shower toiletries. Nothing
- Caroline (8/5): Good stay, good bedroom, good breakfast, many thanks - Most things. Clean, convenient location and comfortable. It would have been good to have had a fridge in our bedroom please
- Patricia (10/5): Great place to stay in Seaview - It is a super hotel with clean ,comfortable beautifully done rooms . The staff is extremely pleasant
and couldn’t be more helpful. The car park is very small and very narrow to get into.
Parking on the roads outside is hit and miss. We managed to get out Lexus 4 door saloon in going very slowly as to not scape the sides!
- Hlouskova (10/5): We just had a great time in the Seaview Hotel - We liked the place was a small hotel with very friendly staff. Food was fantastic and the chef must be a magician to be able to prepare such delicious meals . We had such a great time and would recommend this place to everyone. I can’t say anything I didn’t like about property, just perhaps parking is limited but there is not much hotel could do about it. We found parking not far from the hotel so it was not a problem
- Lynne (9/5): Most enjoyable stay - Comfortable room with good facilities, very friendly and helpful staff, enjoyable food. Nothing - a good experience all round.
- Angela (8/5): Very good stat - Nice big room Nothing
- Peter (9/5): Friendly staff at the top of their game, - The friendliness and attitude of the staff was excellent - especially when trying to overcome a mutual problem - which made our stay at the Seaview memorable.
The restaurant is excellent. Parking could be an issue during peak season - we were fortunate to get a nearby space.
- Keith (8/5): Good for over 45s. Not ideal for young children. - Convenience close to family's residence Fire alarm calling all from our beds at 3am and 3.45am - both false alarms, so far as any fire inside the hotel
- Teresa (7/5): Good - Seaveiw is a wonderful location. Spacious room with lovley veiw. Tired and tatty decor throughout.
- Edward (10/5): Exceptional -
- L. (1/5): Bad - All was fine. I paid for breakfast and stayed for two nights. At breakfast the first morning, I had a double espresso with my meal. The second morning I was told I’d be charged for the double espresso and gently encouraged to order a different coffee. I refused and insisted on the double espresso and paid the extra GBP 2.80 for the espresso.
On reflection, the lack of consistency is astounding. Also, wild that a coffee with milk and sugar is free but double shots of coffee with no water or milk or sugar attract an extra charge.
It ruined an otherwise faultless stay.
- Jacob (10/5): Exceptional -
- Patrick (9/5): Unexpected visit but rekindled my faith in quality service - Exceptional service from Jennie McKee which was greatly appreciated. I look forward to re-booking in the future.
- Jason (8/5): Great for our overnight stay. If staying longer a room with a seaview in the Seaview (hotel) in Seaview would be my rec - Beautiful location close to seafront in sleepy seaside village. Hotel is small and friendly with great breakfast choices inc Eggs Benedict.
